12:1 Va indemn dar, fratilor, pentru indurarea lui Dumnezeu, sa aduceti trupurile voastre ca o jertfa vie, sfanta, placuta lui Dumnezeu: aceasta va fi din partea voastra o slujba duhovniceasca. Va indemn. [,,Va implor”, KJV]. Pavel acum trece la considerarea aplicarii practice a doctrinei neprihanirii prin credinta, pe care a explicat-o atat de clar in cap. 1-11. Neprihanirea prin credinta inseamna nu numai iertarea de pacat, dar si innoirea vietii. Ea cuprinde atat sfintire, cat si neprihanire, transformare ca si impacare. Scopul lui Dumnezeu este de a reface deplin pe pacatosi, pentru a-i face destoinici de a trai in prezenta Sa. Dar. [,,Deci”, KJV]. Aceasta poate sa se refere inapoi mai ales la declaratia indurarii atotcuprinzatoare a lui Dumnezeu (cap. 11,32-36), sau intr-un fel mai general la intreaga argumentatie precedenta a epistolei la care cap. 11,32-36 este culminarea. Intrucat credinciosul a fost indreptatit prin credinta in Hristos si a fost readus la o pozitie de iubire si de incredere ca un fiu adoptiv al lui Dumnezeu, el se cuvenea sa duca o viata de curatenie si sfintenie care corespunde noii situatii. In felul acesta, Pavel lamureste ca doctrina neprihanirii prin credinta si a mantuirii prin har nu incurajeaza sau permite nelegiuirea sau o nepasatoare trecere cu vederea a poruncilor lui Dumnezeu. Dimpotriva. Credinciosul care a fost indreptatit si e sfintit devine tot mai dispus sa asculte pe masura ce ,,neprihanirea legii” e implinita in el (cap. 8,4). In iubire si recunostinta, el cauta cu tot mai multa ravna sa cunoasca sa inteleaga si sa implineasca ,,voia lui Dumnezeu cea buna, placuta si desavarsita” (cap. 12,2). Indurare. [,,Indurarile”, KJV; Nitz.]. gr. oiktirmoi,. Un cuvant care exprima cea mai gingasa compasiune (vezi 2 Cor. 1,3). Este un cuvant mai puternic decat eleos, cuvantul tradus ,,indurare” in Rom. 11,31. Pavel prezinta aceasta impreuna simtire duioasa ca motiv de ascultare. Dumnezeu a aratat o indurare atat de mare in faptul ca a dat pe Fiul Sau sa moara pentru pacatosi si in iertarea razvratirii lor, incat ei sa se consacre voios Lui. Sa aduceti. [,,Sa infatisati”, KJV; Nitz.]. gr. paristemi, literal ,,a pune [sau a sedea deoparte], deci ,,a infatisa”. Comparati folosirea cuvantului in Luca 2,22; ef. 5,27; Col. 1,28. Trupurile voastre. Pavel mai intai apeleaza la crestini sa-si consacre trupurile lui Dumnezeu. Apoi ii invita sa-si dedice puterile intelectuale si spirituale (vers. 2). Adevarata sfintire e dedicarea intregii fiinte – trup, minte si suflet (1 Tes. 5,23); armonioasa dezvoltare a puterilor fizice, mentale si spirituale, pana cand chipul lui Dumnezeu, dupa care fusese creat omul, e perfect refacut (Col. 3,10). Intr-o mare masura starea mintii si a sufletului depind de starea trupului. De aceea e lucru esential ca puterile fizice sa fie pastrate in cea mai buna sanatate si vigoare. Orice practica daunatoare sau satisfactia egoista care scade taria fizica face tot mai dificil sa ne dezvoltam mintal si spiritual. Principiul acesta, vrajmasul sufletelor il cunoaste foarte bine si in acord cu aceasta isi indreapta ispitele pentru a slabi si degrada natura fizica. Rezultatele acestui rele lucrari erau cu totul mult prea aparente pentru Pavel cand cauta sa castige pe pagani de la practicile lor injositoare (vezi Rom. 1,24.26.27; 6,19; Col. 3,5.7) si sa intareasca pe noii convertiti in viata de sfintenie (vezi 1 Cor. 5,1.9; 6,18; 11,21; 2 Cor. 12,21). De aceea, el apeleaza la ei sa-si predea ,,madularele” lui Dumnezeu ca ,,unelte ale neprihanirii” (Rom. 6,13; cf. 1 Cor. 6,15.19; 7,34). Crestinul trebuie sa aduca tendintele naturii lui fizice sub stapanirea puterilor superioare ale fiintei sale, si acestea la randul lor trebuie sa fie supuse sub controlul lui Dumnezeu. ,,Puterea imparateasca a ratiunii, sfintita de harul divin, trebuie sa aiba stapanire in viata” (PK 489). Numai atunci poate credinciosul sa ajunga destoinic de a aduce lui Dumnezeu ,,o slujba duhovniceasca” (vezi mai jos la ,,duhovniceasca” si ,,slujba”). Jertfa vie. Sacrificiile sistemului ceremonial VT erau de animale junghiate. Sacrificiul crestin e de om viu. Inchinatorul crestin se infatiseaza viu cu toate energiile si puterile sale dedicate in slujba lui Dumnezeu. Sfanta. Iudeilor le era hotarat interzis sa aduca vreun animal schilod sau orb sau diform in vreun fel oarecare (Lev. 1,3.10; 3,1; 22,20; Deut. 15,21; 17,1; Mal. 1,8). Fiecare jertfa era cercetata cu grija, si daca se descoperea vreun defect, animalul era respins. La fel crestinii ar trebui sa prezinte trupul lor in starea cea mai buna cu putinta. Toate facultatile si puterile lor trebuie sa fie pastrate curate si sfinte, sau altminteri dedicarea lor de ei insisi lui Dumnezeu nu-i poate fi bine placute. Aceasta nu este o cerinta arbitrara. Scopul lui Dumnezeu pentru credinciosi e refacerea lor completa. Aceasta cuprinde in mod necesar curatirea si intarirea puterilor lor fizice, mentale si spirituale. De aceea, crestinul care, prin credinta, se supune caii lui Dumnezeu de mantuire a omului va asculta bucuros de porunca aceasta de a privi sanatatea corpului sau ca o chestiune de cea mai mare insemnatate. A face altfel inseamna a impiedica lucrarea divina de refacere. Placuta. Literal, ,,bine-placuta” (vezi Fil. 4,18; Col. 3,20; Tit 2,9). Dumnezeului care a iubit atat de mult lumea incat a dat pe Fiul Sau pentru a mantui pe pacatosi Ii este ,,bineplacut” cand oamenii se intorc de la obiceiurile lor distrugatoare si se predau cu totul Lui. De aceea in felul acesta, ei fac cu putinta ca El sa implineasca scopul Sau milostiv pentru a-i recupera si a-i aduce la perfectiunea in care omul a fost creat la inceput. Duhovniceasca. [,,Rationala”, KJV]. Gr. logikos, ,,rationala”, ,,spirituala”, ,,logica”. Unica alta aparitie a acestui cuvant este in 1 Petru 2,2, unde ,,spiritual” ar fi traducerea preferata (vezi comentariul acolo). Slujba. Gr. latreia. Termenul acesta implica un act de serviciu sau cult religios. In Evrei 9,1 e tradus ,,slujba dumnezeiasca” (cf. Rom. 9,4). Traducerea engleza ,,slujba rationala” e oarecum ambigua. Ar putea sa fie luata ca inseamna un serviciu care e corespunzator, un act de cult care e rational pentru cel care il savarseste. Dar nu aceasta e sensul textului grecesc. Pavel vorbeste despre un cult care apartine mintii, ratiunii, sufletului, spre deosebire de ceea ce este exterior si material. Dedicarea de sine a crestinului pentru o viata de curatenie si sfintenie e un act de cult spiritual. El nu mai aduce animale ca jertfa, ci pe sine insusi ca un act de serviciu religios care apartine ratiunii sale. In felul acesta, Petru descrie pe credinciosi ca ,,o preotie sfanta” ca sa aduca ,,jertfe duhovnicesti placute lui Dumnezeu, prin Isus Hristos” (1 Petru 2,5; cf. 3T 162). Versetul acesta da o profunda insemnatate principiului vietuirii sanatoase. Credinciosul savarseste un act de cult spiritual aducand lui Dumnezeu un trup sfant si sanatos, impreuna cu o minte si o inima consacrata, deoarece facand asa, el supune tot ce ii apartine lui Dumnezeu, si deschide calea pentru deplina refacere in el a chipului divin. E un act de serviciu religios de a pastra puterile fizice in cea mai buna stare cu putinta. Astfel, crestinul proslaveste pe Dumnezeu in trupul sau (1 Cor. 6,20; cf. 1, Cor. 10,231), servind ca un exemplu viu de har mantuitor al lui Dumnezeu si participa cu forta si tarie crescanda la lucrarea de vestire a Evangheliei. In felul acesta, curtea Babilonului vedea in Daniel si prietenii sai ,,o ilustratie de bunatate si binefacere a lui Dumnezeu si de iubirea lui Hristos” (PK 489). Viata lor curata si exceptionala lor dezvoltare fizica, mentala si spirituala erau o demonstratie de ceea ce ar face Dumnezeu pentru cei care se predau Lui si care cauta sa implineasca scopul Lui. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
