1:17 Va merge inaintea lui Dumnezeu, in duhul si puterea lui Ilie, ca sa intoarca inimile parintilor la copii, si pe cei neascultatori la umblarea in intelepciunea celor neprihaniti, ca sa gateasca Domnului un norod bine pregatit pentru El. Va merge inaintea lui. Asa cum este in mod specific profetizat de Isaia (vezi la Isaia 40,3-5) si Maleahi (vezi la Maleahi 3,1). Aceasta este sarcina atribuita bisericii ramasitei de astazi. In v. 16,17 exista un giuvaer de adevar inspirat care se gaseste pe jumatate ascuns. In v. 16 Luca afirma ca Ioan va intoarce pe multi copii ai lui Israel la ,,Domnul” si apoi urmeaza imediat cu comentariul: ,,El [Ioan Botezatorul] va merge inaintea lui [evident Mesia, dar si ,,Domnul Dumnezeul lor” din v. 16]. In mod lamurit, desi poate criptic, Luca atrage aici atentia la divinitatea lui Mesia. Duhul si puterea lui Ilie. Curajul neinfricat al lui Ilie in zile de apostazie si criza (vezi 1 Regi 17,1; 18,1-19.36-40) facuse din profet un simbol al reformatiunii temeinice si loialitatii depline fata de Dumnezeu. Acum era nevoie de o lucrare asemanatoare pentru a intoarce inimile oamenilor la credinta parintilor lor (vezi Ioan 8,56; 1 Petru 1,10.11). Lucrarea lui Ioan Botezatorul ca inainte mergator al lui Mesia fusese facuta un subiect de relatare profetica (vezi Isaia 40,1-11; Maleahi 3,1; 4,5.6), asa cum stiau aceia care studiau Scripturile. Chiar si carturarii recunosteau ca ,,trebuie sa vina Ilie” inainte de venirea lui Mesia (Matei 17,10; Marcu 9,11.12). Solia lui era o solie de reforma si pocainta (vezi Matei 3,1-10). Ioan ii semana lui Ilie, nu numai in lucrarea pe care urma sa o faca si in neinfricarea cu care avea sa proclame adevarul (vezi 1 Regi 21,17-24; Matei 3,7-10), dar chiar si in felul sau de vietuire si in infatisarea lui exterioara generala (vezi Matei 3,4; vezi la 2 Regi 1,8). Amandoi profetii au suferit persecutie ( vezi 1 Regi 18,10; 19,2; Matei 14,10). Profetiile cu privire la inainte mergatorul lui Mesia au fost implinite atat de impresionant in Ioan Botezatorul incat atat poporul de rand, cat si conducatorii lor au recunoscut asemanarea lui Ioan cu Ilie (vezi Ioan 1,19-21). Chiar si dupa moartea lui Ioan preotii, carturarii si batranii nu indrazneau sa tagaduiasca faptul ca Ioan era profet (Matei 21,24-27; Marcu 11,29-33; Luca 20,3-7). Si nici Irod cel fara inima n-a indraznit sa-i ia viata lui Ioan pana cand imprejurarile aparent l-au constrans sa faca asa ceva (Matei 14,3-11; Marcu 6,17-28; DA 222). Ioan a tagaduit ca el era Ilie in persoana (Ioan 1,21), dar Isus a afirmat ca Ioan a venit ca implinire a profetiilor despre venirea lui Ilie (Matei 11,9-14; 17,10-13). Lucrul acesta a fost pe deplin inteles de ucenici (Matei 17,13). Exact lucrarea savarsita de Ilie si de Ioan Botezatorul este necesara astazi. In zilele acestea de stricaciune morala si de orbire spirituala este nevoie de glasuri care sa proclame fara teama oamenilor de pe pamant venirea Domnului. Chemarea timpului de fata este pentru barbati si femei care-si vor randui viata asa cum au facut Ioan si Ilie de pe vremuri si care vor invita pe altii sa faca la fel. Este necesara o lucrare de reforma zeloasa, nu numai in afara de biserica, dar si inauntrul ei. Dumnezeu invita pe toti aceia care vor sa-L iubeasca si sa-I serveasca sa mearga in ,,duhul si puterea lui Ilie” (3 T 61,62). Inimile parintilor. Contextul de aici si din Maleahi 4,5.6. sugereaza ca este folosita o vorbire figurata. Solia lui Gabriel a fost data in forma literara a poeziei ebraice in care ritmul ideilor este folosit in loc de metru (vezi vol. III, p. 17-28). Copiii lui Israel trebuiau sa fie intorsi la ,,Domnul Dumnezeul lor”, Parintele lor ceresc (Luca 1,16), cei ,,neascultatori” la ,,intelepciunea celor neprihaniti [,,drepti]” (v. 17). Lucrarea lui Ioan era de a intoarce inimile copiilor neascultatori ai lui Israel din generatia lui la intelepciunea dreptului lor Parinte din cer prin intoarcerea atentiei la experientele ,,parintilor” lor (vezi 1 Corinteni 10,11). Aceasta era exact lucrarea pe care o savarsise Ilie (vezi 1 Regi 18,36.37). Ca descendenti spirituali ai parintelui nostru Avraam (Galateni 3,29) noi ar trebui, ca si el, sa ne intoarcem in credinta inimile la Dumnezeu (Evrei 11,8-13.39.40) si sa ne aducem pururi aminte de calea pe care El a condus pe ,,parinti” in veacurile trecute (vezi LS 196). Declaratia lui Maleahi, citata aici de Luca, a fost de asemenea explicata literal, ca aplicanduse la raspunderea parinteasca de a creste pe copii ,,in mustrarea si invatatura Domnului” (Efeseni 6,4). Unul din primele rezultate ale adevaratei convertiri este intarirea legaturilor familiei. Adevarata reforma totdeauna face asa ceva. Caminul este cu siguranta cuprins in lucrarea de reforma descrisa aici ca fiind un aspect important de facut ,,ca sa gateasca Domnului un norod bine pregatit pentru El.” Vezi la v. 15. Intelepciunea. Gr. phronesis, ,,o hotarare [de a face asa si asa]”, ,,intelegere”, ,,intentie”. ,,Intelepciunea” de care vorbeste ingerul este de natura sa conduca pe om sa se intoarca de la neascultare la ascultare, de la nedreptate la dreptate. Transformarea aceasta are loc nu atat de mult ca rezultat al cunostintelor intelectuale, ci printr-o schimbare a conceptiilor (vezi Romani 12,2) care insoteste o schimbare a inimii (vezi Ezechiel 11,19; 18,31; 36,26). Numai cand un om Il iubeste pe Dumnezeu el vrea sa asculte de Dumnezeu (Ioan 14,15; 15,10). Numai cand afectiunile sunt fixate la ,,cele de sus” (Coloseni 3,2) adevarata ,,intelepciune” stapaneste inima si viata. Un norod bine pregatit. Oamenii din zilele lui Noe n-au fost pregatiti pentru potop (cap. 17,27) si nici oamenii din Sodoma pentru prapadul care a venit peste cetatea aceea. Copiii lui Israel care au parasit Egiptul nu erau pregatiti sa intre in tara fagaduita (Evrei 3,19). Oamenii din zilele lui Hristos nu erau pregatiti sa-L intampine si de aceea ,,nu L-au primit” (vezi Ioan 1,11). Totusi, in mare masura datorita lucrarii lui Ioan Botezatorul, unii erau gata sa-L primeasca. La fel, noi suntem sfatuiti sa fim ,,gata” (Matei 24,44), deoarece aceia care sunt ,,gata” vor merge cu Hristos la nunta (Matei 25,10). Tocmai crestinul care pastreaza nadejdea revenirii Domnului arzand cu putere in inima sa va fi ,,bine pregatit pentru” Domnul cand vine (vezi Evrei 9,28; 2 Petru 3,11.12; 1 Ioan 3,3). |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
