Ezechiel 40:1


40:1 In anul al douazeci si cincilea al robiei noastre, la inceputul anului, in ziua a zecea a lunii, la patrusprezece ani dupa daramarea cetatii, tocmai in ziua aceea, a venit mana Domnului peste mine, si m-a stramutat in tara lui Israel.

In anul al douazecisicincilea. Evident al captivitatii lui Ioiachim (vezi comentariul la cap. 1,2), daca scala anilor este aceeasi in tot cuprinsul cartii. Faptul ca v. 1 se refera la captivitatea ,,noastra” (asa cum face cap. 33,21) arata ca Ezechiel fusese luat captiv impreuna cu Ioiachim.

La inceputul anului. Ebr. ra’sh hashshanah, ,,capul anului”. Intrucat ra’sh e uneori tradus ,,intai”, unii iau aceasta ca insemnand luna intaia a anului, si anume Nisan. Daca lucrurile stau asa, data aceasta era in Aprilie, 573, sau Aprilie, 572 (depinzand de faptul ca Ezechiel incepea anul din primavara sau toamna). Totusi, daca Ezechiel avea in gand inceputul anului si calcula Captivitatea dupa anul civil iudeu, care incepea cu luna a VII-a (Tisri), aceasta era Ziua Ispasirii din Octombrie, 573 (vezi p. 572). E interesant de a nota ca aceasta este unica aparitie in Biblie a expresiei ra’sh hashshanah, prin care ziua de 1 Tisri, sau Ziua Anului Nou, este inca numita de catre Iudei astazi, dar ea nu dovedeste ca ea insemna neaparat acelasi lucru pe vremea aceea. Ziua mentionata este a 10-a, nu 1-a.

Patrusprezece ani. Anul al XXV-lea al captivitatii lui Ioiachim poate fi egalat cu al patrusprezecelea dupa caderea Ierusalimului, pentru a permite cele trei date posibile mentionate in paragraful precedent (vezi Vol. III, p. 92, 93).

Capitolele 40-48 constituie o profetie de un caracter unic. Ele prezinta o viziune a unui nou templu in amanunte ingrijite, un nou si remarcabil plan pentru impartirea tarii, si o vedenie a unor ape datatoare de viata pornind de la acel templu maret.

Profetia prezinta mai multe probleme de interpretare. Au fost adoptate trei linii principale de interpretare:

1. 1. Interpretarea literala. Aceasta sustine ca Ezechiel a oferit schema unei noi constitutii pentru Israel, care sa fie pusa in vigoare la un timp oarecare din viitor, fie imediat dupa exil sau mai tarziu. Potrivit acestei conceptii construirea unui templu, instituirea cultului si o impartire a tarii ar fi urmat precis specificarile oferite de Ezechiel.

2. 2. Interpretarea futurista. Aceasta gaseste in viziunea templului o noua constitutie pentru Israelul restaurat si reunit. Totusi, cu toate ca admite ca intr-o oarecare masura mai mica ar fi putut sa fie pusa in vigoare dupa Exil, ea priveste o epoca de aur inca viitoare ca timp, cand viziunea va primi o implinire exacta si deplina.

3. Interpretarea alegorica. Aceasta tagaduieste orice implinire literala si priveste catre o

oarecare implinire simbolica in timpul imediat urmator Exilului, sau la sfarsitul vremii.

Cu privire la aceste trei conceptii se pot face anumite comentarii.

Contra conceptiei literale, se sustine ca este de neconceput sa nu fie nici o aluzie la vorbirea

lui Ezechiel in cartile de istorie ale lui Ezra si Neemia, sau in profetia lui Hagai, care se ocupa toate de aceasta perioada. Desi acestea descriu reintoarcerea si asezarea in tara, si rezidirea Templului, nu fac nici o referire la profetia aceasta, si nici nu prezinta o dorinta din partea constructorilor de a se conforma la indrumarile lui Ezechiel.

Contra conceptiei futuriste se sustine ca avand in vedere legaturile dintre dispensatiunea veche si cea noua asa cum e expusa in Scriptura este imposibil sa mai concepem ca jertfele de animale puteau din nou sa fie infiintate prin porunca divina si sa fie bine primite de Dumnezeu.

Impotriva conceptiei alegorice, se sustine ca ea ofera o justificare neindestulatoare pentru multele amanunte ale viziunii si nu e in stare sa prezinte un tipar interpretativ destul de semnificativ pentru a garanta atentia extinsa data subiectului.

Conceptia cea mai simpla este aceea care urmeaza principiile schitate in comentariile la cap. 38,1. Potrivit cu principiile acestea viziunea cu templul ar fi fost implinita literar daca poporul ar fi fost credincios fata de insarcinarea data lor, dar pentru ca au dat gres, profetia n-a putut fi implinita in intentia ei originala. Relativ numai putini s-au intors, si acestia erau mult prea departe de planul lui Dumnezeu pentru ei. Anumite lucruri (vezi cap. 47) vor avea o oarecare masura de implinire pentru biserica crestina, asa cum arata scriitorii inspirati ulteriori.

Viziunea cu templul e o profetie in tablouri, si principiile schitate in comentariile de la cap. 1,10 trebuie sa fie aplicate. Ezechiel a vazut reprezentari ale celor reale si nu cele reale insele, iar masura identitatii ramane o problema pentru interpretare ulterioara. Cu toate acestea, in orice masura se deosebesc cele doua, o comparatie cu alte profetii in legatura cu restaurarea ne conduce la credinta ca profetul aici descrie o stare literala cu un templu literal si o capitala literala. E greu de a concepe cum Iudeii, carora le fusese adresata profetia aceasta, ar fi putut sa o inteleaga altfel. Faptul ca scriitorii biblici post-exilici nu s-au referit niciodata la profetia aceasta, si faptul ca constructorii Templului in aparenta nu au dat nici o atentie planului poate fi explicat pe temeiul ca ziditorii isi dadeau perfect de bine seama ca inca nu se implinisera conditiile care sa permita implinirea acestor fagaduinte. Si iarasi, aceasta serie de profetii nu da o indicatie ca planurile urmau sa fie executate indata dupa reintoarcerea exilatilor in propria lor tara. Ele erau fara indoiala sustinute ca o tinta viitoare catre care sa se faca sfortari.

Daca Dumnezeu stia ca templul Sau nu urma sa fie niciodata zidit, de ce trebuia sa-si dea atata osteneala ca sa ofere un plan atat de detaliat al starii viitoare? Raspunsul este: Dumnezeu a incercat toate metodele pentru a atrage pe Israel sa accepte distinsul sau destin planuit original pentru el. Pana la punctul acesta istoria lor fusese o istorie de repetate infrangeri. Dumnezeu le oferea acum o noua ocazie de a incepe din nou. Trecutul urma sa fie uitat si niciodata sa nu le mai fie pus in fata. Israel in chip national, si poporul lui ca persoane, era invitat sa se foloseasca de mareata inlesnire.

E rational sa presupunem ca, pentru a convinge pe poporul Sau de certitudinea fagaduintei, Dumnezeu a indrumat pe servul Sau sa desemneze un plan al templului care urma sa alcatuiasca centrul cultului pentru noul stat.

Dumnezeu ar fi putut sa lase fagaduinta aceasta in termeni generali. El ar fi putut doar sa le spuna ca in viitor templul lor urma sa fie reconstruit. Dar o astfel de aluzie ar fi fost oarecum vaga. Nu urma sa fie nici o indoiala cu privire la seriozitatea intentiilor Sale daca fiecare detaliu al constructiei si al serviciului era zugravita cu grija. Noua capitole in total sunt devotate templului si serviciilor lui, si amanuntelor cu privire la cetate si noua impartire a tarii.

Aceasta este ultima viziune importanta a lui Ezechiel (numai aceea cu privire la Egipt, din cap. 29,17-21, a venit mai tarziu), si marimea si grandoarea ei sunt o corespunzatoare culminare a carierei lui profetice. S-a dat urmatorul rezumat plin de culoare literara al acelei cariere: Ezechiel explodeaza pe scena ca norul de furtuna descris in cea dintai profetie a lui, desfasurarea viziunilor lui ne ia privirile ca luminile cromatice rotitoare din mijlocul norului care inainteaza, pana cand furtuna se sfarseste, norul se topeste in spatiu si ramane atata din lumina incat sa dezvaluie splendorile unei cetati, unui templu, si unei intocmiri statale iluminate de slava nepieritoare a unui Dumnezeu pururea de fata” (Homiletic Commentary).

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here. Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.

Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.

1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.

2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.

3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.

4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).

5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.

6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.

7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.

8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.


How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones

It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.

A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).

The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version. Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain the software to be installed on your mobile phone.

I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing, to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.

There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor) files. These JAD files has to be uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).

There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid

Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of the software.


1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
 

If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is enough to access https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/  from the browser of the mobile phone, and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more). After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile phone.

Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.

2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone

Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones.

If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared port of the computer (preferable laptop).

c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g. on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have larger fonts, full screen display etc.

3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone

Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check if exists).

4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:

a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next, you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the JAR desired file.

5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to download and run Java applications.


Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific models.

Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
