2:1 In ziua Cincizecimii, erau toti impreuna in acelasi loc. Ziua. Autoritatea rabinica permitea iudeilor din Palestina o singura zi pentru celebrarea Zilei Cincizecimii, dar iudeilor din diaspora le erau randuite doua zile pentru aceasta sarbatoare. Cincizecimii. Gr. pentekostes, de la adjectivul insemnand ,,al cincizecilea”, o referire la cele cincizeci de zile dintre inceputul Sarbatorilor Azimilor si Sarbatoarea Celor dintai Roade (Sarbatoarea Saptamanilor, sau Ziua Cincizecimii). Cele dintai intrebuintari ale acestui cuvant grec pentru sarbatoarea ebraica a Saptamanilor apar in Tobie 2,1 (scrisa la c.250 de ani i.Hr.) si 2 Macabei 12,32 (c.120 i.Hr.) astfel ca acest cuvantul ajunsese sa fie folosit printre iudei cu multi ani inainte de era crestina. In ce priveste o tratare mai ampla despre Ziua Cincizecimii si a locului ei in calendarul iudaic, vezi Exod 23,16; Lev. 23,16; cf. Vol. I, p.709; Vol. Ii, p.106, 108; Vol. V, diagrama 10, p. 233. Urmeaza un scurt rezumat de fapte relevante si legatura lor cu revarsarea Duhului Sfant la Cincizecime, dupa cum urmeaza: Datarea Cincizecimii depinde de data Pastelui. Pastele era tinut la 14 Nisan. Ziua de 15 marca inceputul Sarbatorii Azimilor, si pe data de 16 era leganat inainte Domnului un snop din primele roade (din recolta de orz) (Lev.23,5-11). De la data de 16, erau calculate prin metoda inclusiva 50 de zile, sapte saptamani care interveneau (Lev. 23,15.16). Aceasta sarbatoare a ajuns sa fie cunoscuta ca Ziua Cincizecimii. Intrucat in anul crucificarii, 16 Nisan a cazut intr-o duminica (vezi Note Aditionale la Matei 26, Nota 1), Ziua Cincizecimii, venind la 50 de zile mai tarziu (sapte saptamani si o zi), ar cadea de asemenea duminica in anul acela. Totusi, din cauza aceasta nu exista o dovada biblica pentru atribuirea de sfintenie duminicii (cf. cele de la Matei 28,1). Cincizecimea, dintre toate sarbatorile anului iudaic, atragea cel mai mare numar de peregrini din tari departate. Primejdiile calatoriei pe mare si pe uscat la inceputul primaverii si tarziu toamna (vezi Fapte.27,9) impiedicau venirea oamenilor in numar mare la Paste si la Sarbatoarea Corturilor. Dar sezonul Cincizecimii era favorabil, si la nici o alta sarbatoare nu ar fi fost de fata la Iersualim reprezentanti ai atat de multor natiuni. Nu putea fi un timp mai potrivit ca acesta pentru ca Duhul Sfant sa produca cele mai mari efecte in randul celor prezenti. De asemenea, caracterul jertfelor care se aduceau la templu si care erau mai ales de pace si de consacrare, punea o amprenta de bucurie asupra acestei zile. Painea fiind fermentata, indica un spirit de usurare si comuniune printre cei care se bucurau impreuna. Cincizecimea avea mult din aerul unei sarbatori de strangere a recoltei. Chiar si Pavel, cel mai putin interesat in sarbatoriri (Rom.14,5), era nerabdator sa praznuiasca Cincizecimea la Ierusalim, in ciuda calatoriilor sale misionare in Asia si Grecia (Fapte.18,21; 20,16). Fiecare aspect al vechii Sarbatori a Saptamanilor prezenta un inteles simbolic care ii dadea o puternica valoare tipica pentru intreaga era crestina care avea sa urmeze. Ca Sarbatoare a Celor dintai Roade, aceasta era ocazia primei mari adunari din campurile care erau ,,albe…, gata pentru seceris” (Exod 23,16; Ioan 4,35). La sarbatoarea aceasta, israelitii, aducandu-si aminte ca fusesera robi in Egipt, puteau simti din nou libertatea pe care le-o daduse Exodul (Deuteronom 16,9-12) si sa fie scutiti de munca de rob (Lev. 23,21). Astfel ea era un timp corespunzator pentru revarsarea Duhului lui Dumnezeu; si ,,unde este Duhul Domnului, acolo este slobozenie” (1 Cor. 3,17). Duhul acesta urma sa calauzeasca biserica in tot adevarul si ii va face pe toti aceia care il primesc, cu adevarat liberi (Ioan 8,32). E lucru interesant de retinut ca rabinii, care au calculat intervalul dintre primul Paste si darea Legii pe Sinai, au tras concluzia ca Dumnezeu a rostit Legea inaintea poporului (Exod 20,1) in ziua care mai tarziu a fost tinuta ca zi a Cincizecimii. Prin traditia aceasta, sarbatoarea este considerata ca avand un caracter comemorativ. Ziua Cincizecimii a fost o zi mare in experienta lui Israel si era un simbol corespunzator al zilei celei mari care facea sa fie disponibil Duhul lui Dumnezeu pentru toti aceia care se pregateau sa-L primeasca. [,,Venise pe deplin”, KJV; ,,Fu implinita”, Nitz]. Literal, ,,era implinita”, sau ,,implinita”. Cuvintele par sa fie alese pentru a exprima faptul ca ziua era in curs de ivire, in primele ceasuri ale diminetii. [,,Ei”, KJV]. Probabil cei 120 de alti credinciosi care poate li s-au asociat. Toti impreuna. [,,De comun acord”, KJV]. Dovezi textuale importante pot fi citate (cf. p.10) pentru exprimarea ,,impreuna”. Aici, scriitorul doar afirma ca ,,ei erau toti impreuna”. Desi cuvantul grec nu spune ca a fost ,,acord”, e lucru evident ca exista unire printre ucenici. Geloziile date pe fata in esecul lor de a vindeca pe baiatul posedat de demoni (Luca 22,24) si in refuzul de a-si spala unii altora picioarele (cf. Ioan 13,3-17; DA 643, 644), fusesera toate indepartate din inima lor de chinurile rastignirii si maiestatea inaltarii. Domnul lor inviase in ziua aducerii snopului de leganat, care Il preinchipuia pe Cel care era Parga. In decursul unei perioade de 40 de zile El avusese contact repetat cu cei care mai aveau de asteptat zece zile pana la ziua aceea in care se va implini ,,fagaduinta Tatalui”. Ce urma sa aduca la iveala aceasta fagaduinta? Cele zece zile de asteptare fusesera zece zile de rugaciune care trebuie sa caracterizeze poporul lui Dumnezeu ori de cate ori ei aspira la o experienta speciala cu Domnul sau asteapta de la El o revarsare a puterii Sale. Tot ce strica o astfel de unire sau ar pune piedici Duhului care face lucrarea lui Dumnezeu pentru poporul Sau trebuie sa fie inlaturat. In acelasi loc. [,,Intr-un loc”, KJV; ,,La un loc”, Nitz]. Poate aceeasi mare incapere de sus in care fusese luata Sfanta Cina (Luc.22,11-14), ar fi putut sa fie aceeasi cu locul unde ucenicii fusesera adapostiti dupa crucificare si la care ei se reintorsesera dupa inaltarea lui Isus la cer (vezi Fapte 1,13). Unii sustin ca ucenicii poate se adunau in una din incaperile Templului, pe care Iosif (Antiquities viii.3.2 [65. 66]) il numeste oikoi, ,,case”, si care putea fi folosit de grupe de prieteni sau membri ai unei asociatii la data unei sarbatori. Dar pare putin probabil ca ucenicii sa fi riscat sa fie vazuti impreuna intr-un loc atat de public ca incinta Templului. Vezi harta cu raspandirea diasporei evreiesti |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
