1:6 Deci apostolii, pe cand erau stransi laolalta, L-au intrebat: Doamne, in vremea aceasta ai de gand sa asezi din nou Imparatia lui Israel? Stransi laolalta. [Veniti laolalta”, KJV; ,,adunati”, Nitz.]. Adica la Ierusalim, in ascultare de voia Domnului (v. 4) si in acord unul cu altul. Isus Insusi era cu ei, desi nu e pomenita nici o aratare neasteptata, supranaturala. Aceasta a fost ultima adunare a ucenicilor cu Domnul lor, deoarece era ziua inaltarii Sale (Marcu 16,19; Luca 24,50.51; 1 Corinteni15,7). L-au intrebat. Expresia greaca sugereaza ca ei L-au intrebat de repetate ori. In vremea aceasta ai de gand sa asezi din nou? Mai degraba: ,,sa restatornicesti acum?” Ucenicii inca nu intelegeau prea bine natura imparatiei lui Hristos. El nu fagaduise o restatornicire de felul aceleia pe care ei o nadajduiau (vezi Luca 4,19). Ei gandeau ca Isus ,,avea sa scape pe Israel”(Luca 24,21), adica de romani. Petru si ceilalti ucenici au gasit o mantuire diferita de asteptarea lor la Ziua Cincizecimii (Fapte 2,37-39). Inaltarea si experienta din Ziua Cincizecimii care a urmat, le-a dat o noua intelegere; in cele din urma, ei si-au dat seama de natura spirituala a imparatiei Domnului lor. Iudeii erau insetati de nadejde mesianica. In Psalmii lui Solomon, o lucrare apocrifa scrisa cu putin timp inainte de era crestina (vezi vol. 5, p. 90) se repetata mereu aceasta idee. Urmatoarea rugaciune este tipica: ,,Primeste, o Doamne, si ridica-le pe imparatul lor, fiul lui David, la vremea cand Tu vezi, o, Dumnezeule, ca el poate domni peste Israel, servul Tau. Si incinge-l cu tarie, ca el sa zdrobeasca pe domnitorii nedrepti si ca el sa poata curati Ierusalimul de natiunile care il calca in picioare spre nimicire… Si el va curata Ierusalimul, facandu-l sfant ca odinioara; ca natiunile sa vina de la marginile pamantului pentru a vedea slava lui, aducand ca daruri pe fiii lui care lesinasera si sa vada slava Domnului, cu care Dumnezeu il proslavise” (Psalmii lui Solomon 17,23-23; citat in R.H. Charles, Apocrifele si Pseudepigrafele, vol. 2 p. 649, 650). Asemenea ganduri ar fi putut foarte bine sa faca pe ucenici sa spere ca sosise timpul pentru stabilirea stapanirii fagaduite si sa fi dat nastere la intrebarea lor. Israel. Ucenicii inca nu intelesesera conceptul imparatiei spirituale constituita din toate natiunile (Matei 8,11.12) formata din Israelul spiritual al celor taiati imprejur cu inima (Romani 2,28.29). Ei nu si-au dat seama ca atunci cand natiunea iudaica a lepadat pe Isus, ei au fost taiati de la radacina si tulpina adevaratului Israel, in care urma sa fie acum altoiti convertitii crestini, atat dintre iudei, cat si dintre neamuri (vezi Romani 11). Evident ca ei inca mai asteptau ca imparatia mesianica a lui David sa fie statornicita in semintia imparateasca a lui Iuda. Vezi vol. IV, p.26-36. Folosirea de catre ucenici a termenului ,,Israel” pentru a intelege ,,Iuda” nu prezinta nici o dificultate. E adevarat ca ,,Israel” adesea inseamna triburile nordice spre a se distinge de Iuda. Dar adesea termenul este aplicat la toate cele douasprezece semintii si chiar la Iuda in particular, ca si la poporul ales al lui Dumnezeu fara desemnarea expresa a semintiei (vezi de pilda la Isaia 9,8). Contextul este cel care trebuie sa arate intrebuintarea acestui nume in fiecare caz particular. De aceea nu e surprinzator ca NT aplica termenul ,,Israel” la natiunea iudaica. Desi iudeii de pe vremea aceea erau in chip predominant din semintia lui Iuda, in linie de succesiune directa si legitima erau nu numai din provincia postexlilica Iuda (care era continuarea regatului mai timpuriu al lui Iuda) dar si din natiunea unita a lui Israel dinainte de scindare. Iudeii de pe vremea lui Hristos erau mostenitori vechii teocratii care fusese guvernata de dinastia davidica asezata de Dumnezeu, avand ca centru de inchinare templul prescris de Dumnezeu, si intemeiata pe legamantul dintre Dumnezeu si poporul Sau ales. Pavel numea ,,israeliti” pe cei impreuna cu el iudei, carora dupa trup le apartineau ,,legamintele, darea Legii, slujba dumnezeiasca, fagaduintele, patriarhii, si din ei a iesit, dupa trup, Hristosul” (Romani 9,4.5; cf. v. 3; vezi sic ap. 3,1.2; 11,1). Ucenici nu erau gresiti in credinta lor ca profetiile si fagaduintele date Israelului timpuriu apartineau iudeilor ca succesori ai vechiului regat davidic – nu, ,,Israelului” celor zece semintii care se separasera de casa lui David. Celelalte semintii se despartisera nu numai de Iuda, dar si de templul si de adevarata slujba dumnezeiasca si deci de legamantul national. La faptul mostenirii regale era adaugat faptul ca natiunea de sud, de pe vremea domniei lui Ieroboam cuprindea numerosi membri ai semintiilor nordice care doreau sa ramana credinciosi lui Iehova (2 Cronici 11,13-16; 15,9; cf. cap. 16,1). Faptele acestea explica folosirea repetata a termenului Israel atat pentru regatul lui Iuda, cat si dupa captivitate, pentru comunitatea iudaica reconstituita ca provincie a lui Iuda, la care apartineau toti aceia care, indiferent de semintia lor, se inapoiasera din exil (vezi Ezra 2,70; 3,1; 4,3; 6,16.17.21; 7,7.13; 8,29; 9,1; 10,5; Neemia 1,6; 9,1.2; 10,39; 11,3.20; Ezechiel 14,1.22; 17,2.12; 37,15-19; Daniel 1,3; Zaharia 8,13; Maleahi 1,1). Mai departe, natiunea iudaica din vremea lui Isus reprezenta celelalte triburi ale lui Israel nu numai in ce priveste populatia (vezi Luca 2,36) dar si ca teritoriu (vol. V, p. 45, 46). Ea era pomenita ca Israel de Ioan Botezatorul (Ioan 1,31), de Simeon (Luca 2,32.34) de Isus Insusi (Matei 8,10; Luca 9,9; Ioan 3,10), de ucenici si de altii din Iudeea (Matei 2,20-22; 9,33; Luca 24,21; Fapte 1,6; 2,22.23; 3,12; 4,8.27; 5,31; 21,28) si de Gamaliel (Fapte 5,35) de Luca (Luca 1,80) si Pavel (Fapte 13,16.17.23.24; Romani 9,4.6.31; 11,1; 1 Corinteni 10,18; 2 Corinteni 11,22; Filipeni 3,5). In felul acesta, domnia mesianica profetizata pentru Israel era inca asteptata de ucenici ca restatornicire a suveranitatii iudaice nationale. Intr-adevar, imparatia lui Mesia le-ar fi apartinut, daca ei nu ar fi pierdut dreptul la ea prin lepadarea Fiului lui David din cauza ca El venise oferind o imparatiei de dreptate universala in locul celei iudaice. Lepadarea natiunii ca popor ales, o situatie conditionala de la inceput (Ex. 19,5.6; Ier. 18,6-10; Matei 8,11.12; 21,33-45), era mult prea recenta pentru ca ucenicii sa o poata intelege. Ei stiau bine ca vechiul regat nordic al lui Israel se separase irevocabil de adevaratul Israel al legamantului cu exceptia faptului ca membrii individuali ar fi putut alege sa se alipeasca la poporul legamantului. Ceea ce ei inca nu vedeau era faptul ca natiunea iudaica, respingand domnia Fiului lui David, nu mai era poporul ales, desi iudei individuali puteau fi altoiti in tulpina adevaratului Israel, biserica lui Isus Hristos (vezi vol. IV, p. 25-38) in care nu se face deosebire de rasa, nationalitate, sau pozitie sociala (Gal. 3,28.29; Coloseni 3,11). |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
