9:1 Cap. 7 - Dragoste adevărată sau înflăcărare oarbă 9:2 Iubirea este un dar preţios de la Isus. Dragostea este un dar preţios pe care îl primim de la Isus. Dragostea curată şi sfântă nu este un sentiment, ci un principiu. Cei care acţionează în virtutea acesteia nu sunt nici nechibzuiţi, nici orbi. 1 9:3 Există totuşi atât de puţină dragoste adevărată, autentică, devotată, curată. Acest preţios articol este foarte rar. 2 9:4 Pasiunea este socotită drept iubire. Adevărata iubire este un principiu înalt şi sfânt, cu totul diferită în caracter de acea dragoste care este trezită prin impuls şi care se stinge deodată când este aspru pusă la încercare. 3 9:5 Iubirea este o plantă de origine divină, care trebuie îngrijită şi cultivată. Familiile în care se manifestă afecţiune, ce rostesc cuvinte demne de încredere, iubitoare, vor fi fericite şi vor exercita o influenţă înălţătoare asupra tuturor acelora cu care vin în contact. 4 9:6 Adevărata iubire în contrast cu pasiunea. Iubirea... nu este lipsită de raţiune; ea nu este oarbă. Este curată şi sfântă. Însă pasiunea firii pământeşti este cu totul diferită. În timp ce dragostea adevărată Îl are în vedere pe Dumnezeu, în toate planurile Sale, şi este în armonie desăvârşită cu Duhul lui Dumnezeu, pasiunea este încăpăţânată la culme, nesăbuită, lipsită de raţiune, fără frâu şi face din obiectul alegerii sale un idol. Harul lui Dumnezeu este vizibil în întreaga comportare a aceluia care posedă adevărata iubire. Modestia, simplitatea, sinceritatea, moralitatea şi spiritualitatea vor caracteriza fiecare pas făcut spre legământul căsătoriei. Cei care sunt astfel nu vor fi copleşiţi de societatea celuilalt, pierzând interesul pentru locaşul de rugăciune şi 9:7 pentru serviciile religioase. Zelul lor pentru adevăr nu va înceta prin neglijarea ocaziilor şi privilegiilor pe care Dumnezeu le dă în mod binevoitor. 5 9:8 Acea dragoste care nu are altă temelie decât satisfacerea simţurilor va fi încăpăţânată, oarbă şi de nestăpânit. Cinstea, adevărul şi orice trăsătură nobilă a minţii, toate vor fi aduse sub stăpânirea pasiunilor. Persoana care este legată în lanţurile acestei pasiuni oarbe este prea adesea surdă la vocea raţiunii şi a conştiinţei; nici un argument sau rugăminte stăruitoare nu o poate determina să vadă nebunia acestei curse. 6 9:9 Adevărata iubire nu este patimă nestăpânită, înfocată şi năvalnică. Dimpotrivă, ea este calmă şi profundă prin natura ei. Ea are în vedere mai mult decât aparenţele (cele exterioare) şi este atrasă doar de calităţi. Este înţeleaptă şi cu discernământ, iar devotamentul ei este real şi de durată. 7 9:10 Dragostea, desprinsă de tărâmul pasiunii şi impulsului, devine spiritualizată şi se dă pe faţă prin cuvinte şi fapte. Un creştin trebuie să aibă o sensibilitate şi o iubire sfinţite, în care nu este loc pentru nerăbdare şi irascibilitate; trăsăturile aspre, necizelate, trebuie îndreptate prin harul lui Hristos. 8 9:11 Fereşte-te de sentimentalism ca de lepră. De închipuiri şi de sentimentalismul bolnăvicios trebuie să te fereşti ca şi când ar fi lepră. Mulţi tineri şi tinere din aceste vremuri nu cunosc virtutea; de aceea e mare nevoie de precauţie... Aceia care au un caracter virtuos, deşi s-ar putea să nu aibă anumite calităţi care sunt de dorit, pot fi de o reală valoare morală. 9 9:12 Există persoane care au făcut pentru o vreme o profesie din religie, dar care sunt fără Dumnezeu şi fără o conştiinţă sensibilă în toate intenţiile şi scopurile lor. Ei nu au nici un rost, sunt neserioşi; conversaţia lor este uşuratică. 9:13 Mintea le este ocupată doar de gândul curteniei şi al căsătoriei, neexistând loc pentru gânduri înalte şi nobile. 10 9:14 Tinerii sunt fermecaţi, fascinaţi de mania curteniei şi căsătoriei. Sentimentalismul bolnăvicios predomină. Este nevoie de multă vigilenţă şi tact pentru a feri tineretul de aceste influenţe rele. 11 9:15 Tinerele nu sunt învăţate tăgăduirea de sine şi stăpânirea de sine. Ele sunt răsfăţate, iar mândria le este încurajată. Li se îngăduie să aibă propria lor cale, până devin foarte încăpăţânate şi cu voinţă puternică în aşa fel, încât ajungi să nu ştii ce să faci ca să le salvezi de la ruină. Satana le dirijează astfel, încât ajung un motiv de batjocură pentru cei necredincioşi datorită îndărătniciei şi lipsei lor de rezervă şi modestie feminină. Tinerilor, de asemenea li se permite să-şi urmeze propria cale. De-abia ajung la vârsta adolescenţei şi îi vezi deja alături de fetiţe de vârsta lor, pe care le conduc acasă, unde continuă cu intimităţi. Iar părinţii sunt atât de orbiţi în ceea ce priveşte indulgenţa şi afecţiunea greşită faţă de copiii lor, încât nu îndrăznesc să urmeze un curs hotărât pentru a face o schimbare şi a-şi ţine în frâu prea grăbiţii lor copii în acest veac grăbit. 12 9:16 Sfaturi pentru o tânără romantică, bolnavă de dragoste. Ai căzut în trista greşeală care este atât de răspândită în acest secol degenerat, mai ales în rândul femeilor. Eşti prea preocupată de celălalt sex. Îţi place societatea lor. Atenţia pe care le-o acorzi îi flatează, iar tu încurajezi sau îngădui o familiaritate care nu este întotdeauna în acord cu îndemnul apostolului: "Feriţi-vă de orice se pare rău ..." 9:17 Îndepărtează din minte planurile romantice. Tu amesteci religia cu un sentimentalism romantic, bolnăvicios, care nu înalţă, ci, dimpotrivă, înjoseşte. Nu doar tu însăţi 9:18 eşti afectată; şi alţii sunt prejudiciaţi de exemplul şi influenţa ta... Ţi-ai pierdut utilitatea, fiind într-o reverie continuă şi clădind castele de nisip. Ai trăit într-o lume imaginară; ai fost o martiră imaginară şi o creştină imaginară. 9:19 Experienţa religioasă a tinerilor din acest veac al lumii este mult amestecată cu acest sentimentalism josnic. Sora mea, Dumnezeu cere să fii transformată. Înnobilează-ţi sentimentul, te implor. Consacră-ţi puterile mintale şi fizice în slujba Răscumpărătorului tău, care a plătit pentru tine. Sfinţeşte-ţi gândurile şi sentimentele, astfel ca toate faptele tale să fie făcute în Domnul. 13 9:20 Avertisment pentru un tânăr student. Te afli acum în anii studenţiei; lasă-ţi mintea să stăruie asupra unor subiecte spirituale. Înlătură orice sentimentalism din viaţa ta. Instruieşte-te cu vigilenţă şi fii stăpân pe tine însuţi. Acum eşti în perioada de formare a caracterului; nu lăsa ca să-ţi scadă interesul - cel mai nobil cu putinţă - de a te pregăti pentru lucrarea pe care Dumnezeu a desemnat-o pentru tine. 14 9:21 Urmările unei curtenii şi căsătorii neînţelepte. Putem vedea câte dificultăţi întâmpinăm la fiecare pas. Nedreptatea - atât la tineri, cât şi la bătrâni; curteniile şi căsătoriile neînţelepte, nesfinţite, nu pot să nu aibă ca urmare certuri, neînţelegeri, înstrăinare unul faţă de celălalt, indulgenţă faţă de pasiuni fără frâu, necredincioşie a soţilor şi soţiilor, egoism, dorinţe nesăbuite şi indiferenţă faţă de lucrurile de interes veşnic... 9:22 Sfinţenia prezicerilor (profeţiilor) lui Dumnezeu nu este apreciată de majoritatea acelora care pretind că sunt creştini. Ei dovedesc, prin comportamentul lor libertin, fără frâu, că preferă o sferă mai largă. Acestora nu le place să le fie limitate indulgenţele egoiste. 15 9:23 Păziţi sentimentele. Încingeţi-vă coapsele minţii, spune apostolul, apoi stăpâniţi-vă gândurile, nepermiţându-le să fie fără frâu. Gândurile pot fi păzite şi stăpânite prin eforturile tale hotărâte. Gândiţi drept şi veţi aduce la îndeplinire acţiuni drepte. Apoi va trebui să vă păziţi sentimentele, nelăsându-le să zăbovească asupra unor lucruri nepotrivite. Isus te-a răscumpărat cu propria Sa viaţă; tu Îi aparţii; de aceea, El trebuie consultat în toate lucrurile, în legătură cu felul în care vor fi folosite puterile minţii şi ale sentimentelor tale. 16 9:24 1. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
