8:29 Căci pe aceia, pe care i-a cunoscut mai dinainte, i-a şi hotărât mai dinainte să fie asemenea chipului Fiului Său, pentru ca El să fie cel întâi născut dintre mai mulţi fraţi. Căci. Sau ,,deoarece”. Încrederea exprimată în vers. 28 e acum justificată şi confirmată printr-o explicaţie a felului în care este dezvoltat stadiile din procesul mântuirii (vers. 29, 30). În felul acesta, aceia care acceptă chemarea lui Dumnezeu şi se supun scopului Lui sunt asiguraţi aici că El va completa pentru ei fiecare stadiu din planul Lui de a-i mântui. Suferinţele nu sunt altceva decât mijloace prin care ei urmează să fie făcuţi ,,asemenea chipului Fiului Său”. Înţelesul vers. 29 a fost subiectul unei îndelungi discuţii. Când minţi omeneşti mărginite încearcă să privească în scopurile veşnice ale infinitului Dumnezeu, e bine să se ţină seamă de sfatul acesta oferit de un comentator la pasajul acesta: ,,Pe o cărare atât de înaltă şi lunecoasă pentru raţiunea omenească siguranţa noastră stă în a ne fixa paşii numai acolo unde apostolul inspirat şi ia fixat pe ai săi; dacă ne aventurăm, aşa cum mulţi s-au aventurat, dincolo de limitele urmei sale, sunt prăpăstii şi goluri de toate părţile de care cel mai prudent cu greu scapă.” (E. H. Gifford, Epistola Sf. Pavel către Romani, p. 160). Cunoscut mai dinainte. Gr. proginosko, ,,a cunoaşte mai dinainte”. Acest cuvânt apare în altă parte în NT în Fapte 26,5; Rom. 11,2; 1 Petru 1,20; 2 Petru 3,17. Dumnezeu cunoaşte mai dinainte pentru că este atotştiutor, adică cunoaşte toate lucrurile. Cu privire la El, Scripturile afirmă: ,,Totul este gol şi descoperit înaintea ochilor Aceluia cu care avem a face” (Evrei 4,13); ,,care din început spune sfârşitul” (Is. 46,10); ,,care face aceste lucruri şi căruia Îi sunt cunoscute în veşnicie” (Fapte 15,18). Trecutul, prezentul şi viitorul Îi sunt la fel de cunoscute. Nimic mai puţin decât cunoaştere absolută nu ar satisface concepţia noastră fundamentală despre perfecţiunea lui Dumnezeu. Pentru că cunoaşte viitorul nu e luat niciodată prin surprindere. Apostazia lui Satana şi căderea omului au fost cunoscute de El mai dinainte şi se luaseră măsuri pentru a face faţă crizei (1 Petru 1,2; Apoc. 13,8; DA 22). Profeţia predictivă este dovada supremă a precunoaşterii Sale. Profeţia prezice ceea ce precunoaşterea lui Dumnezeu a văzut că va fi (vezi EGW RH 13 Nov. 1900). Evenimentele prezise nu au loc pentru că sunt prevăzute; ele sunt prezise deoarece vor avea loc. Adevărul acesta a fost afirmat de Milton, care comentând despre căderea lui Satana şi a îngerilor lui, lasă ca Dumnezeu să declare: ,,Preştiinţa n-a avut nici o influenţă asupra greşelii lor, Care s-a dovedit nu mai puţin precis neprecunoscută. Aşa că fără nici cel mai slab impus sau umbră de soartă Sau cumva prin prevederea mea imutabilă Ei calcă Legea.” (Paradisul Pierdut, cartea III, rând 117 urm.). Hotărât mai dinainte. [,,Predestinat”, KJV]. Gr. proorizo, ,,a selecţiona mai dinainte”. Cuvântul e tradus ,,determinat mai dinainte” [hotărâre mai dinainte] în Fapte 4,28 şi ,,rânduit” ca 1 Cor. 2,7. Dumnezeu predestinase pe aceia pe care îi cunoscuse mai dinainte. Pentru a folosi o vorbire omenească atunci când Dumnezeu a văzut mai dinainte şi astfel a cunoscut mai dinainte, fiecare generaţie de oameni care urma să apară pe scena acţiunii acestei lumi, el a înmănuncheat imediat cu precunoaşterea Sa decizia de a predestina pe toţi să fie mântuiţi. Dumnezeu niciodată nu a avut alt scop decât mântuirea pentru membrii familiei omeneşti. Căci Dumnezeu ,,voieşte ca toţi oamenii să fie mântuiţi şi să vină la cunoştinţa adevărului” (1 Tim. 2,4). El ,,doreşte ca nici unul să nu piară, ci toţi să vină la pocăinţă” (2 Petru 3,9). ,,Pe viaţa Mea, zice Domnul, Dumnezeu, că nu doresc moartea păcătosului, ci să se întoarcă de la calea lui şi să trăiască” (Ezechia. 33,11). Hristos Însuşi zice: ,,Veniţi la Mine toţi cei osteniţi şi împovăraţi şi Eu vă voi da odihnă” (Mat. 11,28). ,,Cine vrea să ia apa vieţii fără plată” (Apoc. 22,17). ,,Căci atât de mult a iubit Dumnezeu lumea încât a dat pe singurul Lui Fiu pentru oricine crede în El să nu piară, ci să aibă viaţă veşnică” (Ioan 3,16). Mântuirea este oferită fără plată tuturor. Dar nu toţi acceptă invitaţia Evangheliei. ,,Mulţi sunt chemaţi dar puţini aleşi” (Mat. 22,14; cf. cap. 20,16). Mântuirea nu ne este impusă contra voinţei noastre. Dacă alegem să ne împotrivim şi să rezistăm planului lui Dumnezeu, vom fi pierduţi. Precunoaşterea divină şi predestinaţia divină nicidecum nu exclud libertatea omului. Nicăieri nu sugerează Pavel sau vreun alt scriitor biblic că Dumnezeu a predestinat pe anumiţi oameni să fie mântuiţi şi pe anumiţi oamenii să fie pierduţi, indiferent de propria lor alegere în această problemă. Scopul acestui verset pare să fie practic. Pavel încearcă să mângâie şi să asigure pe poporul întristat al lui Dumnezeu că mântuirea lor stă în mâinile Lui şi că e în curs de a fi săvârşită în acord cu scopul lui veşnic şi neschimbător pentru ei. Mântuirea, natural, depinde şi de stăruinţa lor (Evrei 3,14; cf. 1 Cor. 9,27), dar acesta nu este subiectul accentuat acum de Pavel. Să fie asemenea. Gr. summorphos. Singura altă apariţie a acestui adjectiv grecesc este în Fil. 3,21, unde este tradus ,,îl va face asemenea”, şi se referă la schimbarea trupurilor noastre care pot să putrezească în asemănarea corpului proslăvit al lui Dumnezeu. Verbul pereche (summorphoo) e folosit în Fil. 3,10 în expresia ,,să mă fac asemenea cu moartea Lui”. Asemănarea noastră urmează a fi nu numai o asemănare exterioară şi superficială, ci o asemănare lăuntrică şi esenţială. Chipului Fiului Său. Hristos este chipul Tatălui, manifestarea vizibilă a Dumnezeului nevăzut (2 Cor. 4,4; Col. 1,15). E destinul glorios al fiecărui creştin de a fi schimbat după schipul lui Hristos, Fiul lui Dumnezeu (1 Cor. 15,49; 2 Cor. 3,18; Col. 3,10). Cum poate avea loc o aşa transformare minunată e vestea cea bună a Evangheliei, solia iertării, renaşterii, sfinţirii şi a proslăvirii finale. Schimbarea este efectuată de unirea naturii umane cu cea divină. Aşa după cum Fiul lui Dumnezeu a luat asupra Sa natura noastră omenească, tot aşa creştinii pot deveni temple ale Duhului Sfânt (1 Cor. 6,19), şi Hristos va locui în ei Ioan 14,23). În felul acesta, credinciosul devine părtaş de natură dumnezeiască (2 Petru 1,4). Atunci sub influenţa Duhului sălăşluitor (Rom. 8,13.14) şi inspirat de exemplul lui Dumnezeu (Ioan 15,12; Fil. 2,5) el e condus la o nouă sfinţenie a vieţii. Prin răbdătoarea suportare a suferinţei caracterul său e făcut din ce în ce mai asemenea aceluia al Mântuitorului (Rom. 5,3.4; 1 Petru 2,21-24) până la ziua proslăvirii finale, când asemănarea va fi făcută deplină (1 Ioan 3,2). Cel dintâi născut. Gr. prototokos, folosit în altă parte cu privire la Hristos în Mat. 1,25; Luca 2,7; Col. 1,15; Evrei 1,6; Apoc. 1,5. Accentul lui Pavel este aici asupra poziţiei lui Hristos ca fratele cel mai mare din familia celor răscumpăraţi. Scopul ultim al planului de mântuire este restatornicirea unităţii în familia împărăţiei lui Dumnezeu, aşa ca Dumnezeu să poată fi totul în tot (1 Cor. 15,28). În familia aceasta, Hristos ca fratele cel mai mare a străbătut calea care ne stă înainte şi ne-a dat o pildă. Şi deşi El este desăvârşit şi divin, nu-I este ruşine să ne numească pe noi cei care mergem pe urmele Lui ,,fraţi” (Evrei 2,11). Vezi Coly V, 917; vezi Ioan 1,14. Mulţi fraţi. Hristos face din noi fraţii Săi printr-o nouă creaţiune (vezi 2 Cor. 5,17; Gal. 6,15) şi prin aceasta aduce ,,pe mulţi fii la slavă” (Evrei 2,10). Fiind ,,născuţi din apă şi din Duh” (Ioan 3,5) am fost adoptaţi în familia cerească (Ef. 1,5), înscrişi în ,,biserica celor întâi născuţi” (vezi Evrei 12,23) şi ,,scrişi” în registrul familiei ,,în cer” (Evrei 12,23) – cartea vieţii. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
