20:28 Luaţi seama dar la voi înşivă şi la toată turma peste care v-a pus Duhul Sfânt episcopi, ca să păstoriţi Biserica Domnului, pe care a câştigat-o cu însuşi sângele Său. Luaţi seama. În vederea plecării lui Pavel şi a ceea ce el e pe punctul de a le spune, prezbiterii urmează să vegheze cu grijă, în primul rând cu privire la ei înşişi (vezi v. 30) şi apoi cu privire la turmă. Primejdii şi ispite deosebite asaltează pe conducătorii religioşi în ce priveşte purtarea personală, în ce priveşte stabilitatea religioasă şi consecvenţa în doctrină (cf. 2 Corinteni 11,23-28) şi aceste pericole vor spori pe măsură ce timpul înaintează către sfârşit. Turma. Biserica este trupul lui Hristos (1 Corinteni 12,12-27; Efeseni 4,12), Templul lui Dumnezeu (1 Corinteni 3,16.17) şi Mireasa Domnului ei (cf. Efeseni 5,23-32). Dar este şi turma lui Dumnezeu (Ioan 10,11-16; cf. 1 Petru 5,4; Evrei 13,20). Ca atare, ea trebuie să fie condusă, nu mânată cu forţa (Ioan 10,26-30), să fie hrănită, nu exploatată (Psalmi 23; Ioan 10,7-14; 1 Petru 5,2). Pastor e un cuvânt derivat de la verbul latin pasco, ,,hrănesc”. Tabloul mişcător al Bunului Păstor, atât de clar prezentat în Scriptură, e un exemplu pentru slujitorii Evangheliei. ,,Toată” înseamnă turma întreagă şi fiecare parte a ei, deoarece nu trebuie să fie căutare la faţă (Iacov 2,1-9). Duhul Sfânt. A treia Persoană a Dumnezeirii. Prezbiterii Efesului erau oameni rânduiţi, fără îndoială, sub privegherea apostolului Pavel (vezi cap. 14,23). Dar apostolul îi considera aleşi de către Duhul Sfânt, prin procesul electiv sau de numire şi plini de Duhul (cf. 6,3). Aici e din nou descoperită credinţa puternică din epoca apostolică, conform căreia Duhul lui Dumnezeu era în şi lucra prin biserică (vezi cap. 2,2-4; 4,31; 5,3.4; 6,3.5; 8,39; 10,45; 13,2; 15,28; 16,6.7). Episcopi. [Supraveghetori, KJV.] Gr. episkopoi, literal, ,,supraveghetori”, dar termenul e folosit tehnic pentru ,,episcopi”. Comparaţia cu v. 17 arată că pe vremea lui Pavel, ,,prezbiteri” (presbuteroi) şi ,,episcopi” (episkopoi) erau una şi aceeaşi poziţie în biserică (vezi Fapte 11,30; cf. Fapte 1,20; Tit 1,5-7). Aceşti slujbaşi, cunoscuţi ca prezbiteri, funcţionau ca ,,supraveghetori” în biserică. Să păstoriţi. [Să hrăniţi, KJV.] Gr. poimaino, ,,a îngriji de o turmă”, ,,a fi păstor”. E datoria păstorului să se îngrijească de turma sa şi să o ducă la păşuni bune. În felul acesta, pastorul din biserică urmează să-şi hrănească turma din păşunile Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu. Petru fusese îndemnat să facă lucrul acesta de trei ori de către Domnul său (Ioan 21,15-17), o însărcinare pe care Petru a transmis-o mai departe ulterior, propriilor săi convertiţi (1 Petru 5,2). Datoria pastorală este încincită: (1) să predice turmei, Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, să-i aducă la o înţelegere a Evangheliei (1 Corinteni 2,4-7; Efeseni 3,8-11) şi la o experienţă în puterea adevărului (Ioan 3,11; 2 Corinteni 4,13), prezentându-le bine cuvântul adevărului (2 Timotei 2,15), în felul acesta să sporească starea lor spirituală; (2) să se roage pentru turmă (Ioan 17,9-17; Romani 1,9; Efeseni 1,16; 1 Tesaloniceni 1,2; 2 Timotei 1,3); (3) să administreze rânduielile casei Domnului în adevăratul lor înţeles spiritual, botezul (Romani 6,3-6), spălarea picioarelor (Ioan 13,13-17), Sfânta Cină (Matei 26,26–30; 1 Corinteni 11,23-30); (4) să păstreze adevărul Evangheliei în biserică (Iuda 3; 1 Timotei 1,3, 4; 4,6, 7,16; 6,20; 2 Timotei 1,14; 2,25; 3,14-17) (5) să caute convertirea de suflete, adăugându-le la turmă (Fapte 2,47; 11,24; cf. Luca 14,23). Biserica Domnului. [Biserica lui Dumnezeu, KJV.] Dovezile textuale sunt împărţite (cf. p. 10) între exprimarea ,,biserica lui Dumnezeu”, ,,biserica Domnului” şi ,,biserica Domnului şi Dumnezeu”, cea din urmă fiind o combinaţie caracteristică a celor două exprimări anterioare. Pavel adesea se referă la Isus Hristos ca Dumnezeu (Romani 9,5; Tit 2,13; cf. Coloseni 1,15-20; 2,9; Filipeni 2,5-11). La această problemă textuală, vezi şi Problems in Bible Translation,, p. 205-208. A câştigat-o. [A cumpărat-o, KJV.] Hristos a cumpărat pe cei răscumpăraţi, care alcătuiesc biserica, cu propriul Său sânge (1 Petru 1,18-19). Acela care nu a cunoscut păcat, a fost făcut păcat pentru noi (2 Corinteni 5,21). El ne-a luat pe noi care eram morţi în abateri şi păcate şi ne-a înălţat în locuri cereşti (Efeseni 2,1-6). Am fost ,,cumpăraţi cu un preţ” (1 Corinteni 6,20; 7,23; cf. 2 Petru 2,1). Cu însuşi sângele Său. Expresia greacă este ambiguă şi ar putea fi tradusă şi ,,cu sângele propriului Său [Fiu]”. Traducerea aceasta ar corespunde exprimării ,,biserica lui Dumnezeu” mai de la începutul acestui verset, în timp ce cealaltă traducere sau acordă dumnezeire lui Hristos (o concepţie pe care alte referiri o lămuresc), sau corespunde exprimării ,,biserica Domnului”. ,,Sângele este viaţa” (Deuteronom 12,23). Când sângele era vărsat, viaţa înceta. Animalul de jertfă murea, sângele lui curgând pe pământ, preînchipuind moartea lui Hristos pentru păcătoşi. În felul acesta, moartea lui Hristos pe crucea de pe Golgota, când sânge şi apă au ţâşnit din inima Lui zdrobită din cauza despărţirii de Tatăl Său (Matei 27,46; Ioan 19,34.35) este numit sânge mântuitor (1 Corinteni 1,17.18), sânge răscumpărător (Fapte 20,28) şi sânge curăţitor (1 Ioan 1,7). Întrucât moartea lui Hristos era jertfa ispăşitoare care a făcut mântuirea posibilă, biserica ar trebui să fie supravegheată de pastorii ei cu o deosebită devoţiune şi grijă. După cum Hristos a iubit biserica şi S-a jertfit pentru ea, tot aşa trebuie ca slujitorul din biserică să o iubească şi să se jertfească pentru ea. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
