47:1 4. Dati la o parte draperiile si lasati doctorul cerului - lumina soarelui - sa va intre in casa. Vreti pace si liniste in camin si vreti caractere bune ale copiilor vostri. Faceti-va caminul atractiv, pentru ca ei sa nu doreasca sa mearga la local. - Manuscris 27, 1893. 47:4 Puterea de retinere a unui camin atractiv. - Cat de multi parinti se plang de faptul ca nu-si pot tine copiii acasa, ca acestia nu au dragoste pentru camin. De la o varsta frageda, ei doresc compania unor straini si, imediat ce s-au facut destul de mari, parasesc ceea ce 47:5 li s-a parut a fi robie si restrictie nerezonabila, fara sa le pese de rugamintile mamei, sau de sfaturile tatalui. Studierea acestei probleme va descoperi, in general, ca vina este de partea parintilor. Ei n-au facut din camin ceea ce ar fi trebuit - un loc placut, atractiv, radiind de lumina vorbelor bune, al privirilor frumoase si al dragostei adevarate. 47:6 Secretul salvarii copiilor vostri sta in a va face caminul placut si atractiv. Indulgenta parintilor nu-i va lega pe copii nici de Dumnezeu nici de camin; dar o influenta ferma si sfanta, care sa le educe corect mintea, i-ar salva pe multi copii de la pierzare. - Review and Herald, 9 decembrie 1884. 47:7 Sa fie caminul un loc unde exista bucurie, delicatete si dragoste... Daca viata in camin ar fi ceea ce trebuie sa fie, obiceiurile formate aici ar constitui un puternic scut impotriva asalturilor ispitei atunci cand tinerii ar parasi acest adapost, iesind in lume. - Counsels on Health, pag. 100. 47:8 Caminul la tara si munca utila. - Una dintre cel mai sigure protectii pentru tineri este o ocupatie folositoare. Daca ar fi educati spre obiceiuri practice, astfel incat tot timpul lor sa fie folosit in mod util, ei n-ar mai avea timp sa-si planga soarta sau sa se piarda in visari nefolositoare si s-ar afla intr-un mai mic pericol de a-si forma obiceiuri sau tovarasii vicioase. Tinerii sa fie din copilarie invatati ca nu este posibil binele fara munca... 47:9 Orice tanar trebuie sa-si valorifice la maximum talantii, exploatand pe cat posibil ocaziile prezente. Cel care va face lucrul acesta, poate atinge aproape orice inaltime in realizarile morale si intelectuale. Dar trebuie sa aiba un spirit curajos si hotarat. El va trebui sa-si astupe urechile fata de glasul placerii, sa refuze frecvent solicitarile unor tovarasii, sa vegheze permanent, ca sa nu fie distras de la telul lui. 47:10 Multi parinti isi muta caminele de la tara la oras, considerand ca acolo este o zona mai de dorit si mai avantajoasa. Dar, prin aceasta schimbare, ei isi expun tinerii unor multe si mari primejdii. Baietii 47:11 nu au de lucru si-si formeaza o educatie a strazii si avanseaza pas cu pas in stricaciune, pana cand isi pierd interesul fata de tot ceea ce este bun, curat si sfant. Mult mai bine ar fi fost ca parintii sa ramana impreuna cu familiile lor la tara, unde influentele sunt mai bune pentru vigoarea fizica si intelectuala! ... 47:12 Prin neglijenta parintilor, tinerii din orasele noastre isi compromit caile si-si intineaza sufletul inaintea lui Dumnezeu. Acesta va fi intotdeauna rezultatul leneviei. Azilurile de saraci, inchisorile si spanzuratorile fac publica povestea trista a neglijarii indatoririlor parintilor. - Review and Herald, 13 septembrie 1881. 47:13 Inlocuiti distractiile pacatoase cu bucurii nevinovate. - Tinerii nu pot fi facuti sa fie asa linistiti si gravi ca oamenii maturi, nici copiii nu pot fi facuti sobri ca niste lorzi. In vreme ce distractiile pacatoase sunt condamnate, asa cum si trebuie, parintii, educatorii si pedagogii trebuie sa le asigure tinerilor bucurii nevinovate, care nu pateaza si nu corup moravurile. Nu-i ingraditi cu reguli si restrictii rigide, care-i vor determina sa se simta oropsiti si sa apuce pe cararile nesabuintei si ale pierzarii. Cu mana ferma, blanda si atenta, trasati-le linii de conduita, veghindu-le si controlandu-le intentiile si planurile, dar cu bunatate, intelepciune si iubire, pentru ca sa stie in continuare ca aveti in vedere ce este cel mai bine pentru ei. - Review and Herald, 9 decembrie 1884. 47:14 Faceti-le vacantele interesante. - Am incercat cu insistenta sa facem cat se poate de interesante vacantele pentru tineri si copii... Scopul nostru a fost acela de a-i tine departe de distractiile necredinciosilor... 47:15 Parerea mea este ca, tinandu-i pe copii departe de placerile lumesti, care tind sa corupa si sa conduca la rau, suntem datori sa le asiguram o recreare nevinovata, sa-i conducem pe carari frumoase, unde nu exista pericol. Nici unul dintre copiii lui Dumnezeu nu trebuie sa umble trist. Poruncile si fagaduintele divine demonstreaza lucrul 47:16 acesta. Caile intelepciunii sunt "niste cai placute si toate cararile ei sunt niste carari pasnice". Placerile lumesti iau mintile si, pentru bucuria lor de moment, multi sacrifica prietenia cu cerul, cu pacea, dragostea si bucuria pe care el le ofera. Dar, in scurta vreme, aceste placeri preferate devin plictisitoare si nesatisfacatoare. 47:17 Atractiile vietii de crestin. - Vrem sa facem tot ce ne sta in putere pentru a castiga suflete, aratandu-le atractiile vietii de crestin. Dumnezeul nostru este iubitor de frumos. El ar fi putut imbraca pamantul in negru si cenusiu si pomii in straie mohorate, in locul frunzisului lor de un verde viu. Dar Dumnezeu vrea sa-i faca fericiti pe copiii Lui. Fiecare frunza, fiecare boboc ce se deschide si fiecare floare ce infloreste constituie un semn al iubirii Lui calde. Iar noi ar trebui sa cautam a le prezenta si altora aceasta deosebita dragoste exprimata in lucrurile pe care le-a creat El. 47:18 Dumnezeu doreste ca orice camin si orice biserica sa exercite o putere de atractie pentru a-i tine departe pe copii de placerile seducatoare ale lumii si de asocierile cu cei a caror influenta are tendinte corupatoare. Cautati posibilitati pentru a-i castiga pe tineri pentru Isus. Imprimati-le in minte harul si bunatatea lui Dumnezeu prin care, asa pacatosi cum sunt, ii lasa sa se bucure de avantajele, slava si onoarea de a fi fii si fiice ale Celui Preainalt. Ce gand coplesitor, ce bunatate nemaiauzita, ce dragoste uimitoare, ca oamenii marginiti sa fie pusi alaturi de cel Atotputernic ! "Dar tuturor celor ce L-au primit, adica celor ce cred in Numele Lui, le-a dat dreptul sa se faca copii ai lui Dumnezeu." "Preaiubitilor, acum suntem copii ai lui Dumnezeu." Poate vreo onoare lumeasca egala asa ceva? 47:19 Sa prezentam viata crestina in realitatea ei; sa facem umblarea pe calea ei vesela, atragatoare si interesanta. Ne putem ocupa mintea cu imagini vii ale lucrurilor spirituale si vesnice, ajutand prin aceasta la devenirea lor realitate si pentru alte minti. Credinta il vede pe Isus stand, ca Mijlocitor, la dreapta lui Dumnezeu si vede locuintele pe care El S-a dus sa le pregateasca pentru cei care il iubesc. Credinta 47:20 vede hainele si cununa pregatite biruitorului. Ea aude cantarile celor rascumparati si ne aduce aproape slava vesnica. Trebuie sa ne apropiem de Isus, in ascultare iubitoare, daca vrem sa-L vedem pe imparat in frumusetea Lui. - Review and Herald, 29 ianuarie 1884. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
