49:1 O LUCRARE CARE CERE CUGETAREA NOASTRA 49:2 Relele nu pot fi indreptate, nici schimbarile din caracter nu pot fi savarsite prin cateva sfortari, facute din cand in cand. Sfintirea nu este lucrarea unei zile sau a unui an, ci a unei 49:3 vieti intregi. Lupta pentru dobandirea biruintei fata de eu, pentru sfintenie si cer, este o lupta cat viata. Fara un efort continuu si o activitate constanta, nu poate exista inaintare in viata divina, nici dobandirea cununii biruintei. 49:4 Cea mai puternica dovada a caderii omului dintr-o pozitie inalta este faptul ca revenirea lui a costat atat de mult. Calea de intoarcere poate fi atinsa numai prin lupta grea, pas cu pas, ceas de ceas. Printr-un act momentan al vointei, omul poate sa se aseze sub puterea celui rau; dar se cere mai mult decat un act momentan al vointei pentru sfaramarea acestor ferecaturi si atingerea unei vieti mai inalte, mai sfinte. Planul poate fi intocmit, lucrarea poate incepe; insa aducerea la indeplinire va cere osteneala, timp, staruinta, rabdare si sacrificiu. 49:5 Asaltati de nenumarate ispite, noi trebuie sa rezistam cu hotarare, caci, daca nu, aceasta va insemna o pierdere vesnica. 49:6 Sfintirea lui Pavel era rezultatul unei continue lupte cu sine. El spunea: "In fiecare zi mor". (1 Cor. 15,31). Vointa si dorintele lui veneau zilnic in conflict cu datoria si cu vointa lui Dumnezeu. In loc sa-si urmeze inclinatia, el implinea voia lui Dumnezeu, rastignindu-si firea in fiecare clipa. 49:7 Dumnezeu il conduce pe poporul Sau pas cu pas. Viata crestina este o batalie si un mars. In aceasta lupta, nu exista ragaz; efortul trebuie sa fie continuu si staruitor. Prin neincetata stradanie, mentinem biruinta asupra ispitelor lui Satana. Integritatea crestina trebuie cautata cu o forta neabatuta si pastrata cu o neclintita ramanere la hotarare. 49:8 Nimeni nu va ajunge sus fara stradanie darza si nesovaielnica in interesul sau. Toti trebuie sa se prinda in aceasta lupta pentru ei insisi. Fiecare in parte, suntem raspunzatori pentru 49:9 rezultatul luptei; chiar daca Noe, Iov si Daniel ar fi fost in tara, totusi ei nu si-ar fi putut scapa nici fiu, nici fiica, prin neprihanirea lor. 49:10 STIINTA CE TREBUIE STAPANITA 49:11 Exista o stiinta a crestinismului, care trebuie stapanita - o stiinta mai adanca, mai intinsa, mai inalta decat oricare stiinta omeneasca, cum sunt mai inalte cerurile decat pamantul. Mintea trebuie disciplinata, educata, formata; caci noi avem de slujit lui Dumnezeu, pe cai care nu se potrivesc cu inclinatiile noastre firesti. Trebuie biruite tendintele spre rau, ereditare sau cultivate. Deseori, formarea si educatia de o viata trebuie date la o parte pentru a putea deveni ucenic in scoala lui Hristos. Inimile noastre trebuie educate spre a fi statornice in Dumnezeu. E nevoie sa ne formam obiceiuri de cugetare, care sa ne faca in stare sa ne impotrivim ispitei. Trebuie sa invatam sa privim in sus. Principiile Cuvantului lui Dumnezeu - principii inalte cat cerul, principii care cuprind vesnicia - trebuie intelese in raportul lor cu viata noastra zilnica. Fiecare fapta, fiecare cuvant, fiecare gand trebuie sa fie in acord cu aceste principii. 49:12 Pretioasele haruri ale Duhului Sfant nu se dezvolta intr-o clipa. Curajul, taria morala, blandetea, credinta, increderea statornica in puterea lui Dumnezeu de a mantui, sunt dobandite prin experienta de ani. Copiii lui Dumnezeu isi vor sigila soarta printr-o viata de sfanta straduinta si hotarata alipire de ce este drept. 49:13 NU E TIMP DE PIERDUT 49:14 Nu avem timp de pierdut. Nu stim cat de curand se va termina timpul verificarii noastre. Vesnicia se desfasoara inaintea noastra. Cortina este aproape sa se ridice. In curand, vine Hristos. Ingerii lui Dumnezeu cauta sa ne atraga de la noi insine si de la lucrurile pamantesti. Sa nu-i lasam sa munceasca in zadar. 49:15 Cand Hristos Se inalta in Sfanta sfintelor, Isi dezbraca hainele de Mijlocitor si Se imbraca cu hainele razbunarii, se va auzi decretul: "Cine este nedrept, sa fie nedrept si mai departe Cine este fara prihana sa traiasca si mai departe fara prihana. Si cine este sfant, sa se sfinteasca si mai departe. Iata, Eu vin curand si rasplata Mea este cu Mine, ca sa dau fiecaruia dupa fapta lui." (Apoc. 22,11.12) Vine o furtuna, nepotolita in furia ei. Suntem pregatiti sa o intampinam? 49:16 Nu trebuie sa spunem: "Primejdiile zilelor din urma vor veni curand asupra noastra". Ele au si venit. Acum avem nevoie de solia Domnului, care sa taie miezul si maduva placerilor, purtarilor si patimilor omenesti. 49:17 Mintile care s-au dedat cugetelor neinfrante trebuie sa se schimbe. "Incingeti-va coapsele mintii voastre, fiti treji, si puneti-va toata nadejdea in harul care va va fi adus, la aratarea lui Isus Hristos. Ca niste copii ascultatori, nu va lasati tarati in poftele, pe care le aveati altadata, cand erati in nestiinta. Ci, dupa cum Cel ce v-a chemat este sfant, fiti si voi sfinti in toata purtarea voastra. Caci este scris: 'Fiti sfinti caci Eu sunt sfant.'" (1 Petru 1,13-16). Cugetele trebuie concentrate asupra lui Dumnezeu. Acum este timpul sa depunem eforturi zeloase spre a invinge inclinatiile firesti ale inimii de carne. 49:18 Straduintele noastre, abnegatia noastra, staruinta noastra, trebuie sa fie proportionale cu nemarginita valoare a tintei pe care o urmarim. Numai biruind asa cum a biruit Hristos vom castiga cununa vietii. 49:19 NEVOIA RENUNTARII LA SINE 49:20 Marea primejdie a omului sta in a se insela singur, a nutri infumurare, despartindu-se astfel de Dumnezeu, izvorul puterii lui. Inclinatiile noastre firesti, daca nu sunt indreptate de 49:21 Duhul Sfant al lui Dumnezeu, au in ele semintele mortii morale. Daca nu suntem legati cu hotarare de Dumnezeu, nu putem rezista efectelor pangaritoare ale iubirii de sine, ingaduintei de sine si ispitei de a pacatui. 49:22 Pentru a primi ajutor de la Hristos, trebuie sa ne dam seama de nevoia noastra. Trebuie sa avem o adevarata cunoastere de noi insine. Hristos il poate mantui numai pe acela care recunoaste ca este pacatos. Numai daca ne dam seama de completa noastra neajutorare si renuntam la orice incredere in noi, vom avea parte de puterea divina. 49:23 Nu numai la inceputul vietii crestine trebuie sa fie facuta aceasta renuntare. Ea trebuie reinnoita cu fiecare pas de inaintare spre cer. Toate faptele noastre bune depind de o putere din afara noastra; de aceea este nevoie de o continua indreptare a ini-mii catre Dumnezeu, o constanta si zeloasa marturisire a pacatului si umilire a sufletului inaintea Lui. Primejdiile ne impresoara; si noi suntem in siguranta numai daca ne simtim slabiciunea si ne prindem cu mana credintei de puternicul Eliberator. 49:24 INTERESELE CELE MAI INALTE CER ATENTIE 49:25 Trebuie sa ne indepartam de la o mie de lucruri care ne cer atentie. Sunt lucruri care ne consuma timpul si cer preocupare, dar la sfarsit nu aduc nimic. Interesele cele mai inalte cer o atentie incordata si o straduinta care deseori este acordata lucrurilor oarecum neinsemnate. 49:26 Acceptarea de teorii noi nu aduce o viata noua in suflet. Chiar si cunoasterea faptelor si teoriilor, importante in ele insele, este de o mica valoare, daca nu sunt aplicate practic. Trebuie sa simtim raspunderea de a da sufletelor noastre hrana care sa dea putere si sa stimuleze viata spirituala. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
