21:1 Silinta in afaceri 21:2 ‘‘Daca vezi un om iscusit in lucrul lui, acela poate sta langa imparati, nu langa oamenii de rand.” ‘‘Cine lucreaza cu o mana lenesa saraceste, dar mana celor harnici imbogateste.” ‘‘Iubiti-va unii pe altii cu o dragoste frateasca. In cinste, fiecare sa dea intaietate altuia. In sarguinta, fiti fara preget. Fiti plini de ravna cu duhul. Slujiti Domnului.” 21:3 Multe indemnuri la silinta se gasesc atat in Vechiul, cat si in Noul Testament, aratand in mod clar relatia intima ce exista intre obiceiurile noastre de viata si simtamintele si practicile noastre religioase. Mintea si trupul omenesc sunt astfel constituite, incat sunt necesare multe exercitii pentru o dezvoltare corecta a tuturor aptitudinilor. In timp ce multi sunt prea mult angajati in afaceri lumesti, altii merg in extrema opusa si nu lucreaza suficient de mult pentru intretinerea lor sau a acelora ce depind de ei. Fratele __ face parte din aceasta categorie. In timp ce ocupa pozitia de conducator al familiei, in realitate el nu este asa. Cele mai grele raspunderi si poveri le lasa asupra sotiei sale, in timp ce el se complace intr-o indolenta crasa sau se ocupa cu lucruri marunte ce sunt de putin ajutor in sustinerea familiei sale. El sta ore intregi de vorba cu copiii sau vecinii sai despre unele probleme de mica importanta. El trateaza lucrurile foarte usor si se bucura, ii face placere atunci cand sotia se ocupa de pregatirea hranei, pentru a avea ce manca, si a hainelor, pentru a avea ce purta. 21:4 Acest frate este sarac si va fi totdeauna o povara pentru societate, afara de cazul in care va folosi privilegiul pe care i l-a dat Dumnezeu, devenind un adevarat barbat. Oricine poate gasi ceva de facut daca, intr-adevar, doreste acest lucru; dar daca este neglijent si neatent, pozitiile sau serviciile pe care ar fi putut sa le obtina le va gasi ocupate de aceia care au o mai mare activitate si cu mai multa pricepere in afaceri. 21:5 Dumnezeu n-a hotarat niciodata ca tu, frate al meu, sa fii 21:6 sarac, asa cum esti acum. De ce ti-a dat El constitutia aceasta fizica? Tu esti tot asa de raspunzator de puterile tale fizice, cum sunt fratii tai pentru mijloacele lor. Unii dintre acestia ar fi multumiti astazi, daca si-ar putea schimba averea cu puterea ta fizica. Dar, daca ar fi in locul tau, printr-o inteligenta si o folosire silitoare a puterii intelectuale si fizice, ei ar fi in curand deasupra si n-ar mai datora nimanui nimic. Imprejurarile nu iti sunt potrivnice din cauza ca Dumnezeu este pornit impotriva ta, ci pentru ca nu folosesti puterea pe care ti-a dat-o El. Nu a fost intentia Lui ca puterile tale sa rugineasca din cauza inactivitatii, ci sa se intareasca prin folosire. 21:7 Prin religia pe care marturisesti ca o ai, iti revine datoria de a-ti folosi bine timpul in cele sase zile lucratoare, cat si de a lua parte la serviciile divine de la comunitate, in Sabat. Nu esti activ, silitor in afaceri. Lasi ca ore, zile si chiar saptamani sa treaca fara sa faci ceva. Cea mai buna predica pe care o poti tine lumii va fi aceea de a arata o reforma hotarata in viata ta si de a procura cele necesare pentru familia ta. Apostolul spune: ‘‘Daca nu poarta cineva de grija de ai lui, si mai ales de cei din casa lui, s-a lepadat de credinta si este mai rau decat un necredincios”. 21:8 Tu aduci un blam asupra cauzei lui Dumnezeu prin faptul ca te asezi intr-un loc, unde te complaci in lenevie pentru o perioada de timp, si ca urmare esti obligat sa intri in datorii pentru intretinerea familiei. Aceste datorii nu pot fi totdeauna platite si atunci, in loc sa le platesti, te muti in alt loc. Aceasta inseamna sa inseli pe vecinul tau. Lumea are dreptul sa astepte o integritate stricta de la cei care marturisesc a fi crestini, oameni ai Bibliei. Prin indiferenta unui om cu privire la platirea in mod drept a datoriilor lui, tot poporul nostru este in primejdia de a fi considerat ca neinspirand incredere. 21:9 ‘‘Tot ce voiti sa va faca voua oamenii, faceti-le si voi la fel.” Acest verset se refera atat la aceia care lucreaza cu mana lor, cat si la aceia care au oferit daruri. Dumnezeu ti-a dat putere si iscusinta, dar tu nu le-ai folosit. 21:10 Puterea ta este suficienta pentru a-ti sustine din belsug familia. Scoala-te dimineata, chiar cand stelele mai stralucesc inca, daca este necesar. Planuiti sa faceti ceva si apoi realizati ce ati planuit. Tineti-va de orice fagaduinta facuta, exceptand cazul ca boala va tine la pat. Mai bine sa va lipsiti de hrana si de somn decat sa va faceti vinovati ca ati retinut de la altii ceea ce le datorati de drept. 21:11 Dealul progresului nu poate sa fie urcat fara efort. Nimeni nu trebuie sa se astepte sa fie dus spre castigarea premiului, atat in problemele religioase, cat si in cele seculare, in mod independent de propriile sale eforturi. Alergarea nu este totdeauna pentru cel sprinten si nici batalia pentru cel puternic; cu toate acestea, cel care lucreaza cu o mana lenesa va saraci. Cei harnici si staruitori nu sunt fericiti numai ei, ci contribuie in mare masura la fericirea altora. Competenta si bunastarea nu se obtin, de obicei, decat cu pretul unei harnicii serioase. Faraon si-a manifestat aprecierea fata de aceasta trasatura de caracter atunci cand i-a spus lui Iosif: ‘‘Daca gasesti printre ei oameni destoinici, pune-i in fruntea turmelor mele”. 21:12 Nu este nici o scuza pentru fratele ___,doar daca iubirea pentru o viata usoara si neputinta de a planui si a porni la lucru este o scuza. Cel mai bun lucru pentru el acum este acela de a pleca de acasa si a lucra cu cineva care sa gandeasca si sa planuiasca pentru el. El a fost atat de mult timp - pentru el - un stapan lenes si indolent, incat a realizat foarte putin, iar exemplul pe care il da copiilor sai este rau. Ei sunt marcati de caracterul tatalui. Ei lasa ca mama sa duca toate poverile. Cand li se cere sa faca ceva, ei fac, dar nu cultiva, asa cum ar trebui sa faca copiii, capacitatea de a observa ceea ce este de facut si sa faca fara sa fie nevoie sa li se spuna. 21:13 O femeie isi face rau atat ei insesi, cat si membrilor familiei sale, atunci cand indeplineste lucrarea ce-i revine ei, dar si pe a celorlalti - cand aduce lemne si apa chiar, punand mana pe topor si taind lemnele, in timp ce sotul si fiii ei stau in jurul focului, avand o intalnire sociala, un timp de repaus. Dumnezeu n-a dorit niciodata ca sotiile si mamele sa fie sclave ale familiilor lor. Multe mame sunt coplesite 21:14 de griji, in vreme ce copiii lor nu sunt educati sa poarte o parte din poverile casei. Ca rezultat, ea imbatraneste si moare inainte de vreme, lasandu-si copiii tocmai atunci cand acestia au cea mai mare nevoie de o mama pentru a le calauzi picioarele lipsite de experienta. Cine este vinovat? 21:15 Sotii trebuie sa faca tot ce pot pentru a-si scuti sotiile de griji si a le pastra spiritul bine dispus. Niciodata n-ar trebui ca lenevia sa fie incurajata sau ingaduita la copii, pentru ca, in curand ea va deveni un obicei. Cand nu sunt angajati intr-o lucrare folositoare, atunci capacitatile lor fie se depreciaza, fie devin active, dar intr-o lucrare rea. 21:16 Scumpul meu frate, ceea ce-ti trebuie este o activitate practica, activa. Fiecare trasatura a fetei tale, fiecare capacitate a mintii tale arata acest lucru. Tie nu-ti place sa muncesti din greu si nici sa-ti castigi painea prin sudoarea fruntii. Dar acesta este planul stabilit de Dumnezeu in economia vietii. 21:17 Tu nu duci la bun sfarsit ceea ce incepi. Nu te-ai disciplinat in ceea ce priveste ordinea, continuitatea. Sistemul este totul. Nu face decat un singur lucru o data, dar fa-l bine si termina-l mai inainte de a te apuca de altceva. Trebuie sa ai ore regulate pentru sculare, rugaciune si mancare. Multi pierd ore pretioase in pat, pentru ca acest lucru satisface inclinatiile naturale, iar pentru a face altfel, cere un efort. O ora pierduta in pat dimineata este pierduta si nu mai poate fi recuperata niciodata. Inteleptul spune: ‘‘Am trecut pe langa ogorul unui lenes, si pe langa via unui om fara minte. Si era numai spini, acoperit de maracini si zidul de piatra era prabusit. M-am uitat bine si cu luare aminte si am tras invatatura din ce am vazut. 'Sa mai dorm putin, sa mai atipesc putin, sa-mi incrucisez mainile putin ca sa ma odihnesc!' Si saracia vine peste tine pe neasteptate, ca un hot, si lipsa, ca un om inarmat”. 21:18 Aceia care ridica pretentii de evlavie ar trebui sa-si infrumuseteze invatatura pe care o marturisesc si sa nu dea ocazie ca adevarul sa fie batjocorit prin modul lor nechibzuit de comportare. ‘‘Sa nu datorati nimanui nimic”, spune apostolul. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
