44:1 Cap. 42 - Anii de lucrare ai lui Pavel 44:2 Pavel era un lucrator neobosit. El a calatorit mereu din loc in loc, uneori prin regiuni neospitaliere, uneori pe apa, prin furtuni. Dar nu a lasat sa-l impiedice nimic de la infaptuirea lucrarii lui. Era slujitorul lui Dumnezeu si trebuia sa indeplineasca voia Sa. Prin viu grai si prin scris a dus o solie care, de atunci, a adus mereu ajutor si tarie bisericii lui Dumnezeu. Noua, celor care traim la incheierea istoriei acestui pamant, solia lui ne vorbeste clar despre pericolele care vor ameninta biserica si despre doctrinele false pe care le va avea de intampinat poporul lui Dumnezeu. 44:3 Pavel a mers din tara in tara si din oras in oras, predicandu-L pe Hristos si infiintand biserici. Oriunde putea gasi ascultatori, se straduia sa contracareze ratacirile si sa intoarca picioarele barbatilor si femeilor pe calea dreptatii. In orice loc, cei care, prin truda lui, erau condusi sa-L primeasca pe Hristos, erau organizati in biserici, indiferent cat de putini erau la numar. Pavel nu uita bisericile pe care le intemeia in felul acesta. Oricat de mica ar fi fost o biserica, ea era obiectul grijii si interesului sau. 44:4 Chemarea lui Pavel ii solicita diferite feluri de servicii: sa lucreze cu mainile lui pentru a-si castiga existenta, sa infiinteze biserici, sa scrie bisericilor deja fondate. Totusi, in mijlocul acestor lucrari 44:5 variate, el declara: "Fac un singur lucru." (Filipeni 3,13.) In intreaga sa lucrare, avea inainte o singura tinta neclintita: sa fie credincios Domnului Hristos, care i Se descoperise atunci cand el Ii hulea Numele si folosea orice mijloc ii statea in putere ca sa-i faca si pe altii sa-L huleasca. Marele si singurul scop al vietii lui a fost de a-L sluji si a-L onora pe Acela al carui Nume Il dispretuise candva. Unica lui dorinta era de a castiga suflete la Mantuitorul. Evreii si neamurile puteau sa i se opuna si sa-l prigoneasca, dar nimic nu-l putea abate de la telul lui. 44:6 Pavel isi recapituleaza experienta 44:7 Scriindu-le filipenilor, Pavel isi descrie experienta de dinainte si de dupa convertire. "Daca altul crede ca se poate increde in lucrurile pamantesti, eu si mai mult; eu, care sunt taiat imprejur a opta zi, din neamul lui Israel, din semintia lui Beniamin, evreu din evrei; in ce priveste legea, fariseu; in ce priveste ravna, prigonitor al bisericii; cu privire la neprihanirea pe care o da legea, fara prihana." Filipeni 3,4-6. 44:8 Marturia lui dupa convertire a fost: 44:9 "Ba inca, si acum privesc toate aceste lucruri ca o pierdere, fata de pretul nespus de mare al cunoasterii lui Hristos Isus, Domnul meu. Pentru El am pierdut toate si le socotesc ca un gunoi, ca sa castig pe Hristos si sa fiu gasit in El, nu avand o neprihanire a mea, pe care mi-o da legea, ci aceea care se capata prin credinta in Hristos, neprihanirea pe care o da Dumnezeu, prin credinta." Filipeni 3,8.9. 44:10 Neprihanirea pe care inainte o credea atat de pretioasa acum nu mai avea nici o valoare in ochii lui. Dorinta sufletului lui era: "Si sa-L cunosc pe El si puterea invierii Lui si partasia suferintelor Lui, si sa ma fac asemenea cu moartea Lui; 44:11 ca sa ajung cu orice chip, daca voi putea, la invierea din morti. Nu ca am si castigat premiul sau ca am si ajuns desavarsit; dar alerg inainte cautand sa-l apuc, intrucat si eu am fost apucat de Hristos Isus. Fratilor, eu nu cred ca l-am apucat inca; dar fac un singur lucru: uitand ce este in urma mea si aruncandu-ma spre ce este inainte, alerg spre tinta, pentru premiul chemarii ceresti a lui Dumnezeu, in Hristos Isus." Filipeni 3,10-14. 44:12 Un lucrator care se adapteaza 44:13 Priviti-l pe Pavel in temnita din Filipi unde, in ciuda durerii care-i chinuia trupul, cantecul sau de lauda sparge tacerea noptii. Dupa ce cutremurul a deschis usile inchisorii, glasul sau este iarasi auzit, in cuvinte de voiosie pentru temnicerul pagan: "Sa nu-ti faci nici un rau, caci noi suntem toti aici." Fiecare om era la locul lui, retinut de prezenta unui tovaras de temnita. Temnicerul, convins de realitatea acelei credinte care il sustine pe Pavel, intreaba despre calea mantuirii si, impreuna cu toata casa lui, se uneste cu grupa persecutata a ucenicilor lui Hristos. 44:14 Priviti-l pe Pavel la Atena, inaintea sfatului Areopagu-lui, intampinand stiinta cu stiinta, logica cu logica si filozofia cu filozofie. Observati cum, cu tactul nascut din dragostea divina, el arata catre Iehova ca fiind "Dumnezeul necunoscut" caruia I se inchinau fara sa stie ascultatorii lui; folosindu-se de cuvintele unui poet de-al lor, Pavel Il descrie ca Tata ai carui copii sunt ei. In acea epoca a castelor sociale, cand drepturile omului erau total nerecunoscute, ascultati-l cum prezinta marele adevar al fratiei omenesti, declarand ca Dumnezeu doreste "ca toti oamenii, iesiti dintr-unul singur, sa locuiasca pe toata fata pamantului." Apoi 44:15 arata cum modul in care ii tratasera Dumnezeu pe oameni este strabatut, ca de un fir de aur, de planurile Sale pline de har si indurare. El "le-a asezat anumite vremi si a pus anumite hotare locuintei lor, ca ei sa caute pe Dumnezeu si sa se sileasca sa-L gaseasca bajbaind, macar ca nu este departe de fiecare din noi." 44:16 Ascultati-l pe Pavel in sala de judecata a lui Festus, cand imparatul Agripa, convins de adevarul Evangheliei, exclama: "Aproape m-ai convins sa fiu crestin." Pavel raspunde cu politete prietenoasa, aratand spre lanturile sale: "Sa dea Dumnezeu ca nu numai tu, ci si toti cei ce ma asculta astazi sa fiti asa cum sunt si eu, afara de lanturile acestea." 44:17 Si-a petrecut viata asa cum o descrie in propriile-i cuvinte: "Deseori am fost in calatorii, in primejdii pe rauri, in primejdii din partea talharilor, in primejdii din partea celor din neamul meu, in primejdii din partea paganilor, in primejdii in cetati, in primejdii in pustie, in primejdii pe mare, in primejdii intre fratii falsi; in osteneli si necazuri, in priveghiuri adesea, in foame si sete, in posturi adesea, in frig si in lipsa de imbracaminte." 2 Corinteni 11,26.27. 44:18 "Cand suntem ocarati," spunea Pavel, "binecuvantam; cand suntem prigoniti, rabdam; cand suntem vorbiti de rau, ne rugam"; "ca niste intristati si totdeauna suntem veseli; ca niste saraci si totusi imbogatim pe multi; ca neavand nimic si totusi stapanind toate lucrurile." 1 Corinteni 4,12.13; 2 Corinteni 6,10. 44:19 Slujire in lanturi 44:20 Desi Pavel a fost inchis pentru o lunga perioada de timp, Domnul Si-a implinit prin el lucrarea Sa deosebita. Lanturile lui aveau sa fie mijlocul de a raspandi cunoasterea lui Hristos si de a slavi in felul acesta pe Dumnezeu. Cand a fost trimis din cetate in cetate pentru judecata, 44:21 marturia lui cu privire la Isus si evenimentele interesante ale convertirii sale au fost relatate inaintea imparatilor si guvernatorilor, ca ei sa poata fi lasati fara scuza cu privire la Isus. Mii au crezut in El si s-au bucurat in Numele Lui. 44:22 Am vazut ca planul special al lui Dumnezeu a fost indeplinit in calatoria lui Pavel pe mare; El a planuit ca echipajul vasului sa fie martor la puterea lui Dumnezeu, prin Pavel, ca si paganii sa poata auzi Numele lui Isus si, astfel, multi sa poata fi convertiti prin invataturile lui Pavel si vazand minunile pe care le facea. Imparatii si guvernatorii au fost incantati de logica lui. Cand Pavel, plin de zel si de puterea Duhului Sfant, Il predica pe Isus si le relata evenimentele interesante ale experientei lui, acestia se convingeau ca Isus era Fiul lui Dumnezeu. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
