48:1 Cap. 46 - Binecuvantarile si blestemele 48:2 Dupa executarea sentintei impotriva lui Acan, Iosua a primit porunca de a-i pregati pentru lupta pe toti razboinicii si de a porni inca o data impotriva cetatii Ai. Puterea lui Dumnezeu a fost cu poporul Sau si curand au ajuns in stapanirea cetatii. 48:3 Operatiile militare au fost intrerupte pentru ca intregul Israel sa se consacre unui serviciu divin solemn. Poporul era nerabdator sa se stabileasca in Canaan; inca nu aveau case, nici pamant pentru familiile lor, iar pentru a le obtine trebuia sa ii izgoneasca pe canaaniti; dar lucrul acesta insemnat trebuia inca amanat, atentia lor fiind atrasa spre o datorie mult mai inalta. 48:4 Inainte de a lua in stapanire mostenirea, trebuia sa-si innoiasca legamantul de credinciosie fata de Dumnezeu. In ultimele instructiuni date de Moise, se repetase de doua ori porunca de a aduna semintiile la Sihem, pe muntii Ebal si Garizim, pentru a recunoaste cu solemnitate Legea lui Dumnezeu. Ca urmare a acestei porunci au parasit tabara de la Ghilgal nu numai barbatii, ci si "femeile, copiii si strainii care mergeau in mijlocul lor" (Iosua 8,30-35) si au trecut prin tara vrajmasilor lor, prin valea Sihem, aproape de centrul tarii. Cu toate ca erau inconjurati de inamici inca neizgoniti, se aflau totusi in siguranta sub adapostul lui Dumnezeu, atat timp cat Ii erau credinciosi. Ca si pe timpul lui Iacov, "groaza lui Dumnezeu s-a raspandit peste cetatile care ii inconjurau" (Gen.35,5) si evreii au ramas nevatamati. 48:5 Locul prevazut pentru acest serviciu divin solemn era sfintit prin legaturile cu viata parintilor lor. Aici Ii inaltase Avraam lui Iehova cel dintai altar in tara Canaan. Aici isi intinsesera Avraam si Iacov corturile. Aici cumparase Iacov ogorul in care semintiile urmau sa ingroape trupul mort al lui Iosif. Tot aici era fantana pe care Iacov 48:6 o sapase si stejarul sub care ingropase idolii familiei lui. 48:7 Locul ales era unul dintre cele mai frumoase din intreaga Palestina si era vrednic de a fi locul unde sa se desfasoare aceasta insemnata si impunatoare scena. Intre muntii sterpi se intindea ademenitoare valea placuta cu campiile ei verzi impodobite cu flori salbatice si, din loc in loc, cu livezi de maslini, udate de apele izvoarelor vii. Ebal si Garizim, pe cele doua laturi ale vaii, se apropiau unul de altul, iar partea de jos a lor parea sa creeze un amvon natural, asa incat fiecare cuvant rostit pe unul din ei era auzit lamurit pe celalalt, in timp ce colinele muntilor ce se trag inapoi ofera loc pentru o adunare numeroasa. 48:8 Potrivit cu instructiunile date de Moise, s-a zidit pe muntele Ebal un mare monument din pietre. Pe aceste pietre, acoperite mai intai cu un strat de tencuiala, s-a scris legea - nu numai Cele Zece Porunci vestite pe muntele Sinai si sapate pe cele doua table de piatra, ci si legile date lui Moise si scrise de el intr-o carte. Langa acest monument a fost ridicat un altar din pietre necioplite, pe care s-au adus Domnului jertfe. Faptul ca altarul a fost asezat pe muntele Ebal, munte pe care trebuia sa fie rostit blestemul, era plin de insemnatate si arata ca Israel, pentru ca se abatuse de la Legea lui Dumnezeu, isi atrasese mania Lui indreptatita si ar fi fost lovit de acest blestem fara intarziere daca nu ar fi fost ispasirea Domnului Hristos, reprezentata prin altarul jertfelor. 48:9 Sase semintii - toate descendente din Lea si Rahela - au fost asezate de muntele Garizim; iar cele descendente din roabe, impreuna cu Ruben si Zabulon, s-au randuit pe muntele Ebal, preotii impreuna cu chivotul Legii ramanand in valea de la mijloc. Printr-un semnal de trambita s-a vestit tacerea si apoi Iosua, in linistea aceea profunda si in prezenta acelei mari adunari, stand langa chivotul sfant, a citit binecuvantarile care aveau sa vina de pe urma ascultarii de Legea lui Dumnezeu. Toate semintiile de pe Garizim au raspuns cu amin. Apoi a citit blestemele si semintiile de pe Ebal au rostit si ele aprobarea lor, mii si mii de glasuri unindu-se ca glasul unui singur om, intr-un raspuns solemn. A urmat apoi citirea Legii lui Dumnezeu si a randuielilor si drepturilor date lor prin Moise. 48:10 Israel primise Legea de pe Sinai direct din gura lui Dumnezeu, iar preceptele ei sfinte, scrise cu insusi degetul Lui, mai erau 48:11 inca pastrate in chivotul Legii. Acum, au mai fost scrise o data si toti puteau sa le citeasca. Toti aveau privilegiul sa vada personal conditiile legamantului, pe temeiul caruia puteau sa ramana in stapanirea tarii Canaanului. Toti trebuia sa arate ca-si insuseau conditiile legamantului si sa-si dea asentimentul fata de bine-cuvantarile si blestemele care rezultau de pe urma tinerii sau lepadarii acestora. Legea nu numai ca a fost scrisa pe pietrele monumentului ridicat, dar a fost citita personal de Iosua, in auzul intregului Israel. Numai cu putine saptamani inainte, Moise daduse poporului, sub forma de cuvantari, intreaga carte a Deuteronomului, dar Iosua le-a citit acum Legea din nou. 48:12 Citirea Legii a fost ascultata nu numai de barbatii din Israel, dar si de "femei si copii", deoarece avea mare insemnatate ca si ei sa-si cunoasca datoria. Cu privire la legile Lui, Dumnezeu ii poruncise lui Israel urmatoarele: "Puneti-va dar in inima si in suflet aceste cuvinte pe care vi le spun. Sa le legati ca un semn de aducere aminte pe mainile voastre si sa fie ca niste fruntarii intre ochii vostri. Sa inveti pe copiii vostri in ele si sa le vorbiti despre ele... Si atunci zilele voastre si zilele copiilor vostri, in tara pe care Domnul a jurat parintilor vostri ca le-o va da, vor fi tot atat de multe cat vor fi zilele cerurilor deasupra pamantului" (Deut.11,18-21). 48:13 In fiecare al saptelea an, intreaga Lege trebuia sa fie citita in adunarea intregului Israel, dupa cum poruncise Moise: "La fiecare sapte ani, pe vremea anului iertarii, la sarbatoarea corturilor, cand tot Israelul va veni sa se infatiseze inaintea Domnului, Dumnezeului tau, in locul pe care-l va alege El, sa citesti legea aceasta inaintea intregului Israel, in auzul lor. Sa strangi poporul, femeile, copiii si strainul care va fi in cetatile tale, ca sa auda si sa invete sa se teama de Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, sa pazeasca si sa implineasca toate cuvintele legii acesteia. Pentru ca si copiii lor, care n-o vor cunoaste, s-o auda si sa invete sa se teama de Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru in tot timpul cat veti trai in tara pe care o veti lua in stapanire, dupa ce veti trece Iordanul" (Deut.31,10-13). 48:14 Satana lucreaza fara ragaz si cauta sa schimbe cele rostite de Dumnezeu, sa orbeasca mintea si sa intunece intelegerea si, in felul acesta, sa-i duca pe oameni la pacat. Din cauza aceasta cauta Domnul sa le spuna asa de amanuntit si sa lamureasca lucrurile atat de bine, incat sa nu fie nevoie ca cineva sa porneasca pe cai gresite. Dumnezeu cauta fara incetare sa-i atraga pe oameni cu totul sub protectia Sa, pentru ca Satana sa nu poata exercita asupra lor puterea lui inselatoare si ingrozitoare. Domnul S-a coborat pentru a vorbi cu insusi glasul 48:15 Sau, pentru a scrie cu insusi degetul Sau oracolele vii. Cuvintele acestea sfinte, toate pline de viata si adevar maret, le-au fost date oamenilor ca o calauza desavarsita. Intrucat Satana este hotarat sa indeparteze atentia oamenilor de la ele si sa abata pe alte cai iubirea fata de fagaduintele Domnului si cerintele Lui, e nevoie de o sarguinta si mai mare pentru a le inradacina in minte si a le intipari in inima. O mai mare atentie sa fie manifestata de aceia care instruiesc poporul in cele religioase, ca sa-i invete pe oameni faptele si invataturile istoriei biblice, cum si avertismentele si poruncile Domnului. Acestea sa fie prezentate intr-o vorbire simpla si adaptata chiar la puterea de pricepere a copiilor. Sa fie o parte din obligatiile pastorilor si ale parintilor, de a cauta ca tineretul sa fie invatat in cele ale Sfintelor Scripturi. 48:16 Parintii pot si trebuie sa-i cointereseze pe copiii lor in diferitele cunostinte ce se afla pe paginile Sfintelor Scripturi. Dar daca vor sa-i castige pe fiii si fiicele lor pentru Cuvantul lui Dumnezeu, trebuie sa aiba ei insisi interes pentru el. Ei trebuie sa fie buni cunoscatori ai invataturilor lui si sa le vorbeasca despre ele asa cum a poruncit Dumnezeu lui Israel: "cand vei fi acasa, cand vei merge in calatorie, cand te vei culca si cand te vei scula" (Deut.11,19). Aceia care doresc ca fiii si fiicele lor sa-L iubeasca pe Dumnezeu si sa-L cinsteasca trebuie sa vorbeasca despre bunatatea Lui, despre slava si puterea Lui, asa cum sunt descoperite in Cuvantul Lui si in lucrarile creatiunii. 48:17 Fiecare capitol, fiecare verset din Biblie este o comunicare facuta de Dumnezeu oamenilor. Trebuie sa ne legam prescriptiile ei ca semn la maini si ca fruntarii intre ochi. Daca prescriptiile acestea ar fi studiate si indeplinite, poporul lui Dumnezeu, ca si izraelitii pe vremuri, ar fi calauzit ziua de stalpul de nor, iar noaptea de stalpul de foc. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
