123:1 Cap. 121 - Simplitatea in imbracaminte 123:2 "Podoaba voastra sa nu fie podoaba de afara, care sta in impletitura parului, in purtarea de scule de aur sau in imbracarea hainelor, ci sa fie omul ascuns al inimii, in curatia nepieritoare a unui duh bland si linistit, care este de mere pret inaintea lui Dumnezeu." 123:3 Intelepciunea omeneasca s-a gandit mereu sa evadeze sau sa lase deoparte invataturile simple, directe, ale Cuvantului lui Dumnezeu. In fiecare epoca, majoritatea celor ce pretind a fi urmasi ai lui Hristos au desconsiderat aceste precepte, care promovau lepadarea de sine si umilinta, care cereau simplitate si modestie in conversatie, comportament si imbracaminte. Rezultatul a fost mereu acelasi - indepartarea de invataturile Evangheliei, care conduce la adoptarea modei, obiceiurilor si principiilor lumii. Asemanarea cu Dumnezeu, care este de o importanta vitala, a fost inlocuita de un formalism rece. Prezenta si puterea lui Dumnezeu - retrase de la cei care formau grupuri iubitoare de lume - sunt descoperita in categoria inchinatorilor umili, care sunt dispusi sa se supuna invataturilor Cuvantului Sfant. Aceasta cale a fost urmata in perioade succesive. Una dupa alta, diferite denominatiuni s-au ridicat si, renuntand la simplitatea lor, si-au pierdut intr-o mare masura puterea de la inceput. 123:4 O cursa intinsa poporului lui Dumnezeu 123:5 Dupa cum vedem, dragostea de moda si de etalare se regaseste si printre cei ce pretind a crede adevarurile prezente si ne intrebam cu tristete: Nu va invata poporul lui Dumnezeu nimic din 123:6 istoria celor dinainte? Sunt putini cei care-si inteleg propriile inimi. Iubitorii frivoli si superficiali ai modei pot pretinde a fi urmasi ai lui Hristos, dar imbracamintea si conversatia lor arata cu ce este ocupata mintea si in ce este angajata afectiunea lor. Vietile lor tradeaza prietenia cu lumea si-i reclama ca fiind ai ei. 123:7 Cum poate cineva, care a gustat o data dragostea lui Hristos, sa fie satisfacut de frivolitatile modei? Inima mea este indurerata sa vada pe cei care pretind ca sunt urmasii blandului si modestului Mantuitor atat de inflacarati in a se conforma standardelor acestei lumi in ceea ce priveste imbracamintea. Cu toate ca pretind a cauta asemanarea cu Dumnezeu, pot fi deosebiti cu greu de cei necredinciosi. Ei nu gasesc placere in viata lor de credinta. Timpul si mijloacele lor sunt puse in slujba scopului de a se imbraca pentru a etala. 123:8 Mandria si extravaganta in imbracaminte sunt pacate catre care sunt inclinate in special femeile. De aici inainte, porunca apostolilor li se adreseaza direct lor: "Vreau, de asemenea, ca femeile sa se roage imbracate in chip cuviincios, cu rusine si sfiala; nu cu impletituri de par, nici cu aur, nici cu margaritare, nici cu haine scumpe, ci cu fapte bune, cum se cuvine femeilor care spun ca sunt evlavioase". 123:9 Nevoia de reforma 123:10 Vedem cum castiga cu fermitate teren in biserica un rau pe care Cuvantul lui Dumnezeu il condamna. Care este datoria celor ce detin autoritatea cu privire la acest aspect? Va mai fi influenta bisericii ceea ce ar trebui sa fie, in timp ce multi dintre membrii sai se supun la ceea ce dicteaza moda mai degraba decat la ceea ce exprima cu claritate 123:11 vointa lui Dumnezeu? Cum putem astepta prezenta si ajutorul Duhului Sfant, in timp ce permitem acestor lucruri sa existe intre noi? Putem sa ramanem tacuti in timp ce invataturile lui Hristos sunt date la o parte de falsii Sai urmasi? Aceste lucruri aduc durere si nedumerire celor care au scapat din vedere biserica lui Dumnezeu. Nu vor reflecta surorile mele crestine in rugaciune si in sinceritate asupra acestui subiect? Nu vor cauta ele sa fie indrumate de Cuvantul lui Dumnezeu? Timpul petrecut in plus pentru pregatirea hainelor in conformitate cu moda acestei lumi ar trebui devotat unei cercetari atente a inimii si studiului Scripturilor. Orele care pot fi considerate mai mult decat pierdute in pregatirea unor gateli, impodobeli si accesorii inutile ar putea fi facute mai valoroase decat aurul, daca ar fi petrecute in cautarea dobandirii principiilor corecte si a realizarilor solide. Inima ma doare cand vad tinere care pretind a fi urmase ale lui Hristos care sunt practic in necunostinta cu privire la caracterul si vointa Sa. Aceste tinere au fost satisfacute hranindu-se cu pleava. Beteala stralucitoare a lumii pare a fi mai valoroasa pentru ele decat bogatiile vesnice. Puterile mintale, care ar putea fi dezvoltate prin gandire si studiu, sufera de amorteala, sentimentele sunt nedisciplinate, pentru ca imbracamintea este considerata mai importanta decat dragostea de spiritualitate sau vigoare mintala. 123:12 Impodobirea interioara 123:13 Vor cauta urmasii lui Hristos sa obtina acea frumusete interioara, blandetea si pacea spiritului, pe care Dumnezeu pune mult pret, sau vor risipi aceste scurte ore de incercare ce le stau la dispozitie intr-o munca inutila, pentru 123:14 etalare? Domnul ar putea sa aiba in lucrarea Sa femei care sa caute in permanenta sa-si imbogateasca atat mintea, cat si inima, dobandind putere intelectuala si morala, incat sa poata duce o viata folositoare si fericita - fiind o binecuvantare pentru lume si o onoare pentru Creatorul lor. I-as intreba pe tinerii de azi, care pretind a crede in adevarul prezent, in ce fel se leapada ei de sine de dragul adevarului? Cand realmente doresc un articol de imbracaminte sau un fel de obiect de podoaba, accesoriu sau un lucru potrivit, pun ei problema aceasta inaintea Domnului in rugaciune, pentru a sti daca Spiritul Sfant va aproba aceasta cheltuiala a mijloacelor materiale? In alegerea si pregatirea hainelor lor, sunt ei atenti sa nu dezonoreze practicarea credintei? Pot ei sa cheme binecuvantarea Domnului asupra timpului astfel folosit? Este un lucru sa te alaturi bisericii si cu totul alt lucru sa fii unit cu Hristos. Profesarea religiei neconsacrate, iubind lumea, este una din cele mai serioase cauze ale slabiciunii in biserica lui Hristos. 123:15 In aceasta etapa a existentei omenirii, exista o pasiune fara precedent pentru placere. Peste tot prevaleaza extravaganta risipitoare si necugetata. Multi sunt plini de infocare pentru amuzament si distractie. Mintea incepe sa fie frivola si superficiala, pentru ca nu mai este obisnuita cu meditatia sau studiul disciplinat. Sentimentalismul plin de ignoranta este cultivat, rafinat, inaltat si innobilat. Dar prea adesea fiecare realizare de valoare este neglijata pentru etalarea modei si pentru placeri superficiale. Femeile permit sufletului lor sa fie infometat si pipernicit din cauza modei si astfel ele devin mai degraba un blestem pentru societate decat o binecuvantare. - RH, 6 decembrie 1881 |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
