47:1 Cap. 45 - Stabilind principii corecte din tinerete 47:2 Educatia cuprinde mai mult decat o cunoastere din carti. O educatie buna include nu numai pregatire intelectuala, ci si acea pregatire care va avea ca rezultat o morala sanatoasa si un comportament corect... 47:3 Sute de tineri, de diferite conditii si educatii, se intalnesc in scoala si o mare grija, precum si multa rabdare sunt necesare pentru a echilibra corect mintile ce au fost dezorientate printr-o proasta indrumare. Unii n-au fost niciodata disciplinati, iar altii prea au fost tinuti din scurt si acum, departe de mana vigilenta care tinea, probabil, prea strans sforile controlului, cred ca sunt liberi sa faca ce vor ei. Ei dispretuiesc chiar si gandul vreunei restrictii. Aceste elemente diferite, aduse in colegiul nostru, pun griji, poveri si o grea responsabilitate nu numai asupra profesorilor, ci si asupra intregii bisericii. 47:4 Ispitele tinerilor 47:5 Cursantii la colegiul nostru sunt expusi multor ispite. Ei intra in contact cu indivizi de aproape orice tip de inteligenta si morala. Aceia care au oarecare experienta religioasa sunt de condamnat, daca nu se situeaza pe o pozitie de rezistenta fata de orice influenta rea. Multi, insa, aleg sa dea curs inclinatiei, neconsiderand ca acum isi cladesc sau isi naruie fericirea. Sta in puterea lor sa exploateze astfel 47:6 timpul si ocaziile, incat sa-si dezvolte un caracter care-i va face fericiti si utili... 47:7 Datoriile parintilor 47:8 Primejdiile pentru tineri sporesc mult atunci cand ei se afla in societatea multora de varsta lor, avand felurite caractere si obiceiuri. In aceste conditii, multi parinti sunt inclinati sa-si reduca in loc sa-si dubleze eforturile de supraveghere si control al copiilor lor. Astfel, ei arunca o uriasa povara pe umerii celor care simt aceasta raspundere. Cand acesti parinti vad cum copiii lor decad, sunt inclinati sa gaseasca vina celor insarcinati cu educatia, in vreme ce raul s-a produs datorita lor. 47:9 In loc sa se uneasca cu cei care poarta aceste poveri, pentru a ridica standardul moral, si sa lucreze cu inima si duhul in temere de Dumnezeu, pentru a indrepta ce este rau la copiii lor, multi parinti isi linistesc constiinta, spunand: "Copiii mei nu sunt mai rai ca altii". Ei cauta sa ascunda greselile flagrante, pe care Dumnezeu le uraste, pentru ca nu cumva copiii lor sa se supere si sa faca vreun gest disperat. Daca duhul razvratirii este in inima lor, e mult mai bine sa-l biruiti acum, decat sa-l lasati sa creasca si sa se intareasca prin indulgenta. Daca parintii si-ar face datoria, alta stare de lucruri am vedea. Multi dintre acesti parintii s-au indepartat de Dumnezeu. Ei nu au intelepciunea de la El pentru a sesiza manevrele lui Satana si a rezista capcanelor lui. 47:10 Fiecare fiu si fiecare fiica trebuie sa dea socoteala daca lipsesc noaptea de acasa. Parintii trebuie sa cunoasca compania 47:11 copiilor lor si locul unde-si petrec serile. Unii copii isi mint parintii pentru a evita descoperirea caii lor gresite. Acestia sunt cei care cauta societatea prietenilor corupti si care frecventeaza in secret localuri si alte asemenea asezaminte de resort din oras. Exista elevi care merg in salile de biliard si care se angajeaza in jocul de carti, amagindu-se ca nu exista nici un pericol. Intrucat nu cauta decat simpla distractie, ei se cred in perfecta siguranta. Asta o fac nu numai elevii mai putin buni. Unii, care au fost atent supravegheati si invatati sa priveasca aceste lucruri cu dispret, se aventureaza pe terenul interzis. 47:12 Tanarul trebuie controlat cu fermitate, pentru a-si putea dezvolta corect capacitatile pe care i le-a dat Dumnezeu. Dar tinerii urmeaza atat de mult si de orbeste impulsului, fara consideratie fata de principii, incat se afla permanent in pericol. Intrucat nu pot intotdeauna beneficia de calauzirea si protectia parintilor si educatorilor, ei au nevoie sa-si dezvolte increderea in sine si autocontrolul. Trebuie invatati sa gandeasca si sa actioneze din constiinta principiului. 47:13 Relaxare si amuzament 47:14 Aceia care sunt angajati in studiu trebuie sa se si relaxeze. Mintea nu trebuie fortata sa lucreze necontenit, deoarece delicata ei masinarie oboseste. Trupul si, la fel de bine, mintea trebuie sa se relaxeze. Dar este mare nevoie de cumpatare in distractie, ca de altfel in orice. Si caracterul acestor distractii trebuie sa fie atent si bine cumpanit. 47:15 Orice tanar trebuie sa se intrebe: "Ce influenta vor avea aceste distractii asupra sanatatii mele fizice, mintale si spirituale? Va ajunge cumva mintea mea sa-L uite pe Dumnezeu? Voi inceta sa am dinainte slava Sa?" 47:16 Jocul de carti trebuie interzis. Asocierile si tendintele lui sunt periculoase... Nu este nimic folositor sufletului si trupului in aceasta distractie. Nu este nimic care sa revigoreze intelectul, nimic de retinut pentru un viitor folos. 47:17 Conversatia la jocul de carti este adeseori triviala si degradanta. Priceperea la jocul de carti duce deseori la dorinta de a fi exploatata in folos personal. Astfel, se pune mai intai o mica suma in joc, apoi una mai mare, pana cand apare o sete de a juca, sete ce va duce la ruina sigura. Pe cati oameni i-a condus aceasta distractie periculoasa la tot felul de pacate, la saracie, inchisoare, crima si spanzuratoare! Si totusi, multi parinti nu vad teribila prapastie a ruinei ce se casca la picioarele tinerilor nostri. 47:18 Printre cele mai periculoase locuri de distractii este teatrul. In loc sa fie o scoala a moralitatii si a virtutii, dupa cum se pretinde in repetate randuri, el este chiar focarul imoralitatii. Obiceiuri vicioase si inclinatii pacatoase sunt intarite si incetatenite prin teatru. Cantece usuratice, gesturi, expresii si atitudini lascive depraveaza imaginea si coboara moralul. Orice tanar care frecventeaza in mod obisnuit astfel de spectacole va fi corupt. Nu exista in tara noastra o mai puternica influenta care sa otraveasca imaginea, care sa distruga impresiile sfinte si care sa toceasca gustul pentru placerile linistite si sobre ale vietii, ca spectacolele de teatru. 47:19 Iubirea acestor reprezentatii creste cu fiecare vizionare, asa cum dorinta dupa bauturile nocive creste o data cu folosirea lor. Singura cale sigura este aceea a evitarii teatrului, circului si a oricarui loc indoielnic de amuzament. Exista moduri de recreare, benefice atat mintii, cat si trupului. O minte luminata, o minte cu discernamant va gasi din abundenta mijloace de distractie care sunt nu numai inocente, dar si instructive. Recrearea in aer liber, contemplarea lucrarilor lui Dumnezeu in natura, sunt dintre cele mai benefice. (Testimonies for the Church, vol. 4, pg. 648-653). 47:20 Tinerii nu pot fi la fel de potoliti si de gravi ca oamenii in varsta, iar copiii la fel de sobri ca niste gentlemani. Condamnand asa cum se cuvine distractiile pacatoase, parintii, educatorii si pedagogii trebuie sa le procure tinerilor placeri inocente. Nu fixati tinerilor reguli rigide si restrictii care-i vor face sa se simta oprimati si sa evadeze pe caile neascultarii si ale pierzarii. Cu mana ferma, blanda si atenta, trasati liniile calauzitoare, indrumand mintea si aspiratiile tinerilor atat de tandru, intelept si iubitor, incat ei inca sa stie ca aveti in vedere binele lor. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
