3:1 El (ingerul) mi-a aratat pe marele preot Iosua, stand in picioare inaintea Ingerului Domnului, si pe Satana stand la dreapta lui, ca sa-l parasca.

Mi-a aratat. A patra viziune (v. 1-10) a fost data pentru a arata puterea lui Hristos, ,,de a-l birui pe parasul poporului Sau” (PK 583). Ea a fost data intr-o vreme cand, ,,inaintarea continua facuta de ziditorii Templului deranjase si alarmase intr-o mare masura ostile raului.” (PK 582). Vezi comentariul la cap. 1,8.

Iosua. Cel dintai mare preot de dupa captivitate. El este amintit si in Ezra 2,2. Vezi si comentariul la Ezra 2,2. In viziunea aceasta marele preot il reprezinta pe Israel stand inaintea lui Dumnezeu.

Ingerul Domnului. Adica, ,,Ingerul care este Domnul”, Hristos (comp. Iuda 9; vezi PK 584; vezi comentariul la Exod 23,20.21).

Satana. Ebr. haśśotan, literal ,,vrajmasul”. Cuvantul deriva de la verbul śatan, care inseamna ,,a invinui”, ,,a se purta ca un vrajmas”. Verbul apare in Psalmi 38,20; 71,13; 109,4.20.29; Zaharia 3,1. Substantivul este aplicat unui dusman pamantesc in 1Samuel 29,4; 2Samuel 19,22; 1Regi 5,4; 11,14.23.25; Psalmi 109,6 si unui inger in Numeri 22,22.32. In fiecare din aceste situatii substantivul ebraic este nearticulat. Substantivul apare articulat de 14 ori in Iov 1,6-2,7 si de 3 ori in Zaharia 3,1.2. In fiecare din aceste cazuri este tradus ,,Satana”. O singura data este tradus prin ,,Satana”, cand este nearticulat in ebraica (1Cronici 21,1).

Sa-l parasca. Ebr. śatan, ,,sa acuze”, ,,sa se poarte ca un dusman” (vezi mai sus la ,,Satana”). In timp ce Iosua mijlocea inaintea lui Dumnezeu pentru poporul sau, Satana statea alaturi pentru a se impotrivi si pentru a pune piedici straduintelor lui aducand impotriva lui Iosua si a poporului sau invinuirea de pacatosenie (comp. 1Petru 5,8; Apocalipsa 12,20). El arata catre calcarile de Lege ale lui Israel ca un motiv pentru care poporului nu trebuia sa fie repus in favoarea divina (vezi PK 583; comp. Zaharia 1,11; 2,12). Ei nu meritau sa fie reasezati in relatia lor de legamant (vezi comentariul la Zaharia 1,16).I



3:2 Domnul a zis Satanei: Domnul sa te mustre, Satano! Domnul sa te mustre, El care a ales Ierusalimul! Nu este el, Iosua, un taciune scos din foc?

Sa te mustre. Era adevarat ca poporul lui Dumnezeu pacatuise in mod grav. Dar ei suferisera pedeapsa exilului, iar multi fusesera condusi la pocainta si smerenie. In conditiile acestea era fara indoiala potrivit ca sa li se extinda favoarea divina.

El. Sau ,,Acesta”. Iosua este cel la care se face referire, dar in acelasi timp el era un reprezentant al poporului.

Taciune. Ebr. ’ud, ,,buturuga”, ,,ciuntitura”, initial poate un bat indoit folosit pentru a atata focul. Cuvantul acesta apare in Vechiul Testament doar aici, in Isaia 7,4 si in Amos 4,11. Flacarile arzatoare ale captivitatii ar fi nimicit in cele din urma poporul ales daca Dumnezeu nu ar fi miscat inima imparatilor pagani pentru a arata har copiilor Lui risipiti si daca unii din ei n-ar fi fost dispusi sa raspunda chemarii lui Dumnezeu de a fugi din Babilon (Ieremia 51,45; comp. Zaharia 2,6).



3:3 Dar Iosua era imbracat cu haine murdare, si totusi statea in picioare inaintea Ingerului.

Haine murdare. Simbolizand intinarea pacatului (comp. Isaia 64,6).



3:4 Iar Ingerul, luand cuvantul, a zis celor ce erau inaintea Lui: Dezbracati-l de hainele murdare de pe el! Apoi a zis lui Iosua: Iata ca indepartez de la tine nelegiuirea, si te imbrac cu haine de sarbatoare!

Luand cuvantul. Sau ,,A raspuns”. Indepartarea hainelor murdare insemna iertarea pacatelor si repunerea in favoarea divina. Noul vesmant reprezinta neprihanirea atribuita a lui Hristos (PK 584).



3:5 Eu am zis: Sa i se puna pe cap o mitra curata! Si i-au pus o mitra curata pe cap, si l-au imbracat in haine, in timp ce Ingerul Domnului statea acolo.

Mitra curata. Literal, ,,un turban curat”. Cuvantul tradus prin ,,curat” este de la verbul tahar, care are diferite sensuri: ,,a fi curat”, ,,a fi nepatat”, ,,a fi curat din punct de vedere ceremonial”, ,,a fi declarat curat”. Turbanul destinat pe atunci marelui preot avea pe el inscriptia ,,sfintenie Domnului” (Exod 28,36-38). Asezarea unui ,,turban curat” pe capul lui Iosua insemna ca vinovatia lui fusese iertata si ca el era calificat spre a-si indeplini sfanta lui slujba. Preotul si poporul au fost repusi in favoarea divina (v. 9; vezi comentariul la v. 1).



3:6 Ingerul Domnului a facut lui Iosua urmatoarea marturisire:

A facut… urmatoarea marturisire. Mai degraba, ,,a avertizat”.



3:7 Asa vorbeste Domnul ostirilor: Daca vei umbla pe caile Mele si daca vei pazi poruncile Mele, vei judeca si Casa Mea si vei priveghea asupra curtilor Mele, si te voi lasa sa intri impreuna cu cei ce sunt aici.

Vei umbla. Mari binecuvantari vin in urma ascultarii. Compara promisiunea facuta lui Solomon (1Regi 3,14). Cei ce sunt aici. Ingerii participanti (vezi PK 585).



3:8 Asculta dar, Iosua, mare preot, tu si tovarasii tai de slujba, care stau inaintea ta caci acestia sunt niste oameni care vor sluji ca semne. Iata, voi aduce pe Robul Meu, Odrasla.

Asculta dar. Natura importanta a promisiunii pe punctul de a fi facuta necesita atentia deplina a preotului.

Oamenii care vor sluji ca semne. Sau ,,Oameni de mirare”. Literal, ,,oameni de minune”. Ebraicul mopheth, tradus aici prin ,,semne” (,,de mirat”, ,,minune”) este folosit cu privire la minunile pe care Moise le-a facut inaintea lui Faraon (Exod 4,21; comp. Exod 7,3.9; 11,9.10). Mopheth este deseori tradus prin ,,semn” (1Regi 13,3.5; 2Cronici 32,24.31; Ezechiel 12,6; etc.). Dupa cum Ezechiel a fost un semn (ebr. mopheth) pentru generatia lui (Ezechiel 12,6.11; 24,24.27), tot asa israelitii restaurarii urmau sa fie o demonstratie a ceea ce Dumnezeu era dispus sa faca pentru aceia care conlucrau cu planurile Cerului. Ei urmau sa fie ,,onorati ca alesii Cerului printre natiunile pamantului” (PK 585).

Robul Meu. Un titlu frecvent al lui Mesia (vezi comentariul la Isaia 41,8). Odrasla. Ebr. semach, ,,mladita”, ,,un produs”, un simbol al lui Mesia (vezi Ieremia 23,5; 33,15), care urma sa fie Odrasla mareata care va rasari din casa lui David.



3:9 Caci iata ca numai spre piatra aceasta pe care am pus-o inaintea lui Iosua, sunt indreptati sapte ochi; iata, Eu Insumi voi sapa ce trebuie sapat pe ea, zice Domnul ostirilor; si intr-o singura zi, voi inlatura nelegiuirea tarii acesteia.

Piatra. Simbolismul nu este clar explicat. Comentatorii au facut diferite sugestii, ca de pilda ca piatra (ebr. ’eben) se refera la Hristos, ca in Isaia 8,14 sau la imparatia lui Hristos, ca in Daniel 2,34.35.44 sau ca se refera la Zorobabel ca o ,,pecete” (Hagai 2,23). Totusi, unicul indiciu imediat cu privire la semnificatia simbolismului pare sa fie in cuvintele: ,,Intr-o singura zi voi inlatura nelegiuirea tarii acesteia.” Invatatura centrala a viziunii priveste inlaturarea vinovatiei de la Iosua si de la popor. S-ar putea sa fie o legatura intre ,,piatra aceasta” si ,,o singura zi”.



3:10 In ziua aceea, zice Domnul ostirilor, va veti pofti unii pe altii sub vita si sub smochin.

Supt vita. Un simbol al pacii si sigurantei, al bucuriei si prosperitatii (vezi Isaia 65,17-25; Mica 4,1-5).

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here. Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.

Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.

1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.

2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.

3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.

4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).

5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.

6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.

7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.

8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.


How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones

It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP) technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.

A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).

The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version. Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain the software to be installed on your mobile phone.

I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing, to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.

There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor) files. These JAD files has to be uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).

There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid

Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of the software.


1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
 

If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is enough to access https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/  from the browser of the mobile phone, and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more). After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile phone.

Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.

2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone

Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones.

If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared port of the computer (preferable laptop).

c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g. on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have larger fonts, full screen display etc.

3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone

Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check if exists).

4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:

a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next, you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the JAR desired file.

5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to download and run Java applications.


Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific models.

Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
