16:1 Trimiteti miei carmuitorului tarii, trimiteti-i din Sela, prin pustie, la muntele fiicei Sionului! Trimiteti miei. Pe cand Moabul fusese supus de Omri si de Ahab, ii platea tribut lui Israel sub forma de miei si berbeci (2Regi 3,4). Acum Moab era chemat sa trimita un tribut asemanator lui Iuda. Din Sela. Vezi comentariul la 2Regi 14,7; comp. Ieremia 48,28. Sela inseamna ,,stanca” si este considerat a fi numele capitalei Edomului. Poporul Moabului fusese nevoit sa-si paraseasca cetatile, sa fuga in pustietate si sa-si faca locuintele printre stanci. Acum, in starea lor jalnica, ei erau chemati sa recunoasca suprematia ,,muntelui fiicei Sionului” prin plata tributului. 16:2 Ca o pasare fugara, izgonita din cuib, asa vor fi fiicele Moabului, la trecerea Arnonului. O pasare fugara. O descriere vie a refugiatilor din Moab care nu stiau incotro sa se duca pentru a gasi adapost. 16:3 Si vor zice: Sfatuieste, mijloceste, acopera-ne ziua in amiaza mare cu umbra ta, ca noaptea neagra, ascunde pe cei ce sunt urmariti, nu da pe fata pe cei fugiti! Sfatuieste [KJV: ,,Ia sfat”]. Unii considera ca aceste cuvinte sunt adresate Sionului de catre moabiti, care fusesera constransi sa-si paraseasca tara; altii, ca este un sfat dat de profet poporului smerit al Moabului. Ultima varianta este mai probabila. Aducand pedeapsa asupra Moabului, Domnul ii sfatuieste acum pe locuitorii cuprinsi de spaima ai acestuia cu privire la calea care trebuie urmata. De aici inainte ei trebuie sa se poarte cu dreptate si sa dea dovada de mila fata de vecinii lor. In ziua nenorocirii lui Iuda, poporul Moabului se bucurase de necazul care se abatuse asupra poporului lui Dumnezeu (vezi Ieremia 48,27; Tefania 2,8). Acum Domnul ii indeamna sa arate bunatate fata de Iuda si sa nu traga foloase de pe urma exilatilor constransi sa caute refugiu in Moab. Ca si umbrele noptii, ei trebuie sa-i ascunda pe refugiati si sa nu-i tradeze urmaritorilor. 16:4 Lasa sa locuiasca pentru o vreme la tine cei goniti din Moab, fii un loc de scapare pentru ei impotriva pustiitorului! Caci apasarea va inceta, pustiirea se va sfarsi, cel ce calca tara in picioare va pieri. Sa locuiasca… la tine. Moab este indemnat sa le ingaduie exilatilor din Iuda sa se refugieze in mijlocul sau si sa-i ascunda de aceia care le cautau nimicirea. Solia aceasta i-a fost adresata Moabului cu o suta de ani inainte ca babilonienii sa aduca judecatile asupra lui Iuda, cand mii de iudei au cautat refugiu in Moab (Ieremia 40,11). La data aceea, insa, sfatul acesta n-a fost luat in seama, iar moabitii au avut o vie placere de mizeriile care se abatusera asupra lui Iuda (Ieremia 48,26.27). Din cauza aceasta, o judecata ingrozitoare va veni asupra Moabului (Tefania 2,8.9). 16:5 Si atunci un scaun de domnie se va intari prin indurare; si se va vedea sezand cu credinciosie, in casa lui David, un judecator, prieten al dreptului si plin de ravna pentru dreptate. Prin indurare. Cuvintele versetului 4 si indemnul dat Moabului sunt valabile si pentru imparatia lui Hristos. Profetul pare sa priveasca inainte catre un timp cand un reprezentant al casei lui David, Mesia (vezi comentariul la cap. 11,1), va guverna Moabul. Indurarea, nu cruzimea, este ceea care aduce siguranta, pace si prosperitate popoarelor de pe pamant. Daca Moabul va fi indurator, tronul lui va fi intarit; daca nu, natiunea este sortita pieirii. Tocmai din cauza ca Domnul a ,,auzit ocarile Moabului” impotriva poporului Sau, El a declarat ca ,,Moabul va fi ca Sodoma” si a vestit ca El ,,va fi grozav impotriva lor” (Tefania 2,8.9.11). 16:6 Auzim ingamfarea mandrului Moab, fudulia si fala lui, trufia si laudarosia lui. Ingamfarea mandrului Moab. Mandria si aroganta erau slabiciunile cele mai importante ale Moabului si principalele motive ale distrugerii sale (vezi Ieremia 48,29; Tefania 2,10). Laudarosia lui. Compara Ieremia 48,30. Laudele lui Moab erau mincinoase, si urma sa fie dovedite cu totul zadarnice. 16:7 De aceea geme Moabul pentru Moab, toti gem; suspinati pe daramaturile Chir-Haresetului, adanc mahniti; Geme Moabul. Daca Moabul ar fi luat seama la sfatul Domnului, tronul lui ar fi fost intarit in dreptate si indurare, dar intrucat a refuzat, rezultatul urma sa fie nenorocire si distrugere. Intreaga natiune se va tangui in agonie la sosirea ceasului judecati. Daramaturile [KJV: ,,Temeliile”]. Literal, ,,turte de stafide”. Posibil ca turtele presate de stafide sa fi fost unul dintre produsele principale ale Chir-Haresetului, iar oamenii de aici sunt adanc mahniti pentru pierderea principalelor mijloace de trai. 16:8 caci campiile Hesbonului lancezesc; stapanii neamurilor au sfaramat butucii viei din Sibma, care se intindeau pana la Iaezer, si se incalceau prin pustie: mladitele ei se intindeau si treceau dincolo de mare. Hesbonului. Vezi comentariul la cap. 15,4. Sibma. Cetatea aceasta ii fusese alocata lui Ruben (Numeri 32,37.38; Iosua 13,15.19) si era vestita pentru strugurii ei (Ieremia 48,32). Viile acestui tinut frumos si prosper au fost distruse de invadatorii cruzi. Cetatea Sibma era aproape de Hesbon, asezarea fiind incerta. Imaginea mladitelor butucilor de vie moabiti intinzandu-se in diferite directii sugereaza probabil locurile unde erau exportate produsele viilor sale, sub forma turtelor de stafide. La Iaezer. Adica, mladitele viei infloritoare din Hesbon si Sibma se intindeau spre miaza-noapte pana la Iaezer, o cetate la granita nordica (la vest sau nord-vest de Rabat-Amon), initial in Galaad (Numeri 32,1.3.35; 2Samuel 24,5; 1Cronici 26,31). Ele se intindeau spre rasarit in Pustiul Arabiei, iar spre apus traversau Marea Moarta pentru a reapare pe povarnisurile de la En-Ghedi (Cantarea Cantarilor 1,14). Cuvintele lui Isaia descriu viile infloritoare si intinse ale Hesbonului si Sibmei ca alcatuind o singura vie ce se intindea in toate partile (vezi Ieremia 48,32). 16:9 De aceea plang pentru via din Sibma, ca pentru Iaezer; va ud cu lacrimile mele, Hesbonule si Eleale! Caci peste culesul roadelor voastre si peste secerisul vostru a cazut un strigat de razboi! A cazut un strigat de razboi. Ultima parte a v. 9 zice, literal, ,,caci asupra roadelor tale de vara si asupra secerisului tau a cazut un strigat”. In vreme de pace si prosperitate strigatul ar fi cel vesel culegatorilor, dar in vreme de razboi (vezi comentariul la v. 7) el urma sa fie strigatul navalitorului punand stapanire pe recolta si distrugand pomii si butucii de vie. Targumurile spun ,,un jefuitor a cazut”. Profetul se uneste cu locuitorii Moabului pentru a plange pentru suferintele lor. 16:10 S-a dus bucuria si veselia din campii! Si in vii, nu mai sunt cantece, nu mai sunt veselii! Nimeni nu mai calca vinul in teascuri. Am facut sa inceteze strigatele de bucurie la cules. Bucuria. Timpul strangerii roadelor din ogoare si vii era un timp de neretinuta bucurie si sarbatoare. In schimb, lacrimile urmau sa ia locul veseliei. 16:11 De aceea imi plange sufletul pentru Moab ca o harfa si inima pentru Chir-Hares; Sufletul [KJV: ,,Maruntaiele”]. Maruntaiele erau socotite de evrei ca fiind locul emotiilor (vezi comentariul la Geneza 43,30). Aici emotiile sunt descrise ca vibrand asemenea coardelor plangatoare ale unei lire care canta un jalnic cantec funerar. Profetul simpatizeaza cu poporul impotriva caruia profetizeaza. 16:12 si cand se va arata Moabul, obosindu-se pe inaltimi si va intra in locasul sau cel sfant sa se roage, nu va putea sa capete nimic! Moabul, obosindu-se. Cand Moabul se infatiseaza pe inaltimea zeului sau, chiar daca se osteneste cu descantece si cu rugaciuni, Chemos nu raspunde (vezi 1Regi 18,26-29). 16:13 Acesta este cuvantul, pe care l-a rostit Domnul de multa vreme asupra Moabului. De multa vreme. Literal, ,,de atunci”, o expresie idiomatica ebraica insemnand, ,,mai inainte”, ,,de demult”, ,,in trecut”. In cap. 48,3.5.7, ea este tradusa: ,,de multa vreme”, ,,de mult”, ,,din trecut”, iar in 2Samuel 15,34, ,,odinioara”. Sensul aici este ca solia lui Isaia nu este decat o repetare a unor solii care fusesera date mai inainte. 16:14 Iar acum Domnul vorbeste, si zice: In trei ani, ca anii unui simbrias, slava Moabului va fi dispretuita, impreuna cu toata aceasta mare multime; si ce va ramane, va fi putin lucru, aproape nimic. In trei ani. Avertizarile anterioare cu privire la judecata impotriva Moabului fusesera nedefinite in ce priveste timpul. Anii unui simbrias. Un simbrias lucreaza numai atata timp cat cere contractul lui. Probabil ca el nu va ramane peste timpul acela. Asa va fi cu judecata care va cadea in curand asupra Moabului. Un timp a fost stabilit pentru acea judecata, iar aceasta probabil nu va fi amanata. Putin lucru, aproape nimic. Moabul nu va fi complet distrus. O ramasita va fi lasata, insa va fi mica si slaba. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
