14:1 Intoarce-te, Israele, la Domnul, Dumnezeul tau! Caci ai cazut prin nelegiuirea ta. Intoarce-te. Capitolul 14 constituie un apogeu corespunzator pentru solia lui Osea. Profetul adreseaza un ultim apel poporului sau sa-si paraseasca nelegiuirea si sa se intoarca la Domnul. Inca nu era prea tarziu. Dar momentul prielnic se departa cu repeziciune. Norii razboiului incepusera sa intunece orizontul rasaritean. Asiria era la zenitul puterii ei, iar ambitiile sale imperialiste aveau sa inghita in curand natiunea ahtiata dupa idoli, imbatata de vicii, a lui Israel. Intrucat lucrarea profetica a lui Osea s-a extins pana la domnia lui Ezechia (cap. 1,1) iar caderea Samariei a avut loc in anul al VI-lea al domniei acestui rege (2Regi 18,9.10), este posibil ca aceasta solie finala sa fi fost data cu numai putin timp inainte de ziua finala a nenorocirii. Intrucat diferitele solii ale cartii nu sunt datate, este imposibil sa fixam cu precizie datele lor exacte. Ai cazut. Literal ,,te-ai poticnit”. 14:2 Aduceti cu voi cuvinte de cainta, si intoarceti-va la Domnul. Spuneti-I: Iarta toate nelegiuirile, primeste-ne cu bunavointa, si Iti vom aduce, in loc de tauri, lauda buzelor noastre. Aduceti cu voi. Probabil o aluzie la prevederea legii mozaice ca ,,sa nu vii cu mainile goale inainte Mea” (Exod 23,15). Poporul s-ar fi putut astepta ca Domnul sa ceara jertfe de dobitoace sau daruri materiale ca un insotitor al intoarcerii lor. Dar profetul nu cere nimic din acestea. O simpla solicitare a indurarii insotita de o pocainta si o marturisire venite din inima este tot ceea ce cere Domnul (vezi comentariul la Psalmi 32,1). Toate nelegiuirile. Pacatul fata de care se face o deplina pocainta poate fi iertat cu marinimie. O data iertat nu mai este pus in socoteala pacatosului (vezi comentariul la Psalmi 32,2). Primeste cu bunavointa. Literal, ,,primeste tu bun”, probabil o cerere ca Dumnezeu sa primeasca drept ,,buna” marturisirea celor pocaiti. Tauri. Ebr. parim ,,tauri tineri”. Lasarea la o parte a unei consoane duce la termenul ,,roade”. Aceasta exprimare are sprijinul LXX si al traducerii siriace si se potriveste bine in context. Daca este retinut termenul parim, sensul pare sa fie ca drept tauri de jertfa, oamenii isi aduc buzele. Exista o posibila aluzie la Osea 14,2, in Evrei 13,15 in expresia ,,rodul buzelor”. Totusi, expresia este in acord intr-o mai mare masura cu LXX decat cu textul ebraic. 14:3 Asirianul nu ne va scapa, nu vrem sa mai incalecam pe cai, si nu vrem sa mai zicem lucrarii mainilor noastre: Dumnezeul nostru! Caci la Tine gaseste mila orfanul. Asirianul. Poporul isi ia un angajament cu privire la trei din cele mai importante pacate ale lor. Cu privire la asteptarea ajutorului din partea Asiriei, vezi cap. 5,13; 7,11. Cu privire la increderea in caii si carele Egiptului, vezi Osea 7,11; comp. Isaia 31,1. Cu privire la pacatul idolatriei, vezi Osea 13,2; comp. Isaia 42,17. 14:4 Le voi vindeca vatamarea adusa de neascultarea lor, ii voi iubi cu adevarat! Caci mania Mea s-a abatut de la ei! Le voi vindeca. Dumnezeu raspunde la rugaciunea pocaintei. Apostazia este vazuta aici ca o boala. Numai Medicul divin poate tamadui bolile sufletului (vezi Ieremia 8,22; Matei 9,12). Vatamarea. Ebr. meshubah, de la radacina shub, ,,a se intoarce”, ,,a se intoarce inapoi”, de unde ,,intoarcere inapoi”. Traducerea mai buna ar fi, prin urmare, ,,apostazie”. Ii voi iubi cu adevarat. Cand pacatele sunt iertate si neprihanirea lui Hristos il acopera pe pacatos, atunci, oricat de pacatos ar fi fost acesta, este primit inaintea lui Dumnezeu ca si cum nu ar fi pacatuit niciodata. Pacatele sale anterioare nu mai sunt cu nici un chip tinute impotriva lui, iar Dumnezeu il iubeste la fel cum Isi iubeste propriul Fiu (vezi SC 67). 14:5 Voi fi ca roua pentru Israel; el va inflori ca crinul, si va da radacini ca Libanul. Ca roua. In tarile unde ploaia este putina, roua ajuta la inviorarea plantelor lipsite. In felul acesta roua devine un simbol al rodniciei, iar lipsa acesteia un simbol al secetei si al pustiirii. Astfel Dumnezeu va deveni sursa rodniciei spirituale a lui Israel. Dupa cum roua vine noapte dupa noapte, si Dumnezeu ofera zi de zi o masura suficienta de har pentru ziua respectiva. Inflori ca crinul. O ilustratie care sugereaza insusiri ca frumusete, curatie, parfum si rapiditatea cresterii (vezi Matei 6,28.29). Radacini. Radacinile crinului sunt slabe si prin urmare nu constituie o descriere corespunzatoare a stabilitatii fagaduite a lui Efraim. Ca Libanul. Fie cedrii Libanului, fie muntii Libanului. Printr-o schimbare de consoana, spunand libneh, in loc de libanon, RSV zice, ,,ca un plop”. 14:6 Ramurile lui se vor intinde; maretia lui va fi ca a maslinului, si miresmele lui ca ale Libanului. Ramurile. Ebr. yoneqoth, ,,lastari”. Ca a maslinului. Compara Ieremia 11,16. Maslinul este considerat regele pomilor fructiferi din Palestina. El era deosebit de valoros. Uleiul lui era folosit ca hrana si dadea lumina. Roadele lui, atat de imbelsugate si de folositoare, verdele lui, atat de splendid si frunzisul lui dainuitor de proaspat, ofereau o imagine vie a perspectivei glorioase a lui Efraim. 14:7 Iarasi vor locui la umbra lui, iarasi vor da viata graului, vor inflori ca via, si vor avea faima vinului din Liban. Umbra lui. Daca cel care vorbeste este tot Iehova, aici ar trebui sa zica ,,umbra mea” (vezi RSV), cu toate ca o atare traducere implica o usoara schimbare a ebraicii. Pe de alta parte, este posibil ca aici sa vorbeasca profetul, caz in care schimbarea persoanei este justificata. Iarasi. Sau ,,Se vor intoarce” [KJV]. Efraim ar fi putut atinge glorioasa perspectiva descrisa aici. Prin Osea, Domnul S-a straduit sa faca perspectiva sa apara cat mai atragatoare posibil in speranta ca invitatia nu va fi refuzata. Apelul constituie un apogeu nimerit al cartii. 14:8 Ce mai are Efraim a face cu idolii? Il voi asculta si-l voi privi, voi fi pentru el ca un chiparos verde: de la Mine iti vei primi rodul. Ce mai are a face. Sau ,,O, Efraim, ce am eu a face cu idolii?” (RSV). Ii voi asculta. Sau ,,L-am ascultat” [KJV]. Verbul poate fi privit ca exprimand o actiune repetata asa cum se poate exprima in propozitia: ,,Eu sunt cel care aude”. LXX are o traducere diferita pentru aceasta propozitie si cea urmatoare: ,,Eu l-am asuprit si eu il voi intari.” Chiparos. Ebr. berosh, probabil chiparosul. Unii il identifica pe berosh cu ienuparul fenician. 14:9 Cine este intelept, sa ia seama la aceste lucruri! Cine este priceput, sa le inteleaga! Caci caile Domnului sunt drepte; si cei drepti umbla pe ele, dar cei razvratiti cad pe ele. Cine este intelept. Osea isi incheie profetia cu apelul ca poporul sau sa acorde atentia cuvenita tuturor cuvintelor pe care Domnul le-a rostit prin el. Pentru o definitie a adevaratei intelepciuni, vezi comentariul la Proverbe 1,2. Umbla pe ele. Problema a fost astfel pusa clar inaintea lor. Doua directii le stateau inainte. Ei puteau ori sa mearga mai departe pe caile lor rele si sa culeaga rezultatele inevitabile ori sa se intoarca din toata inima la Dumnezeu si sa obtina mantuirea. Caile Domnului, fiind drepte si de neschimbat, se vor implini indiferent de ceea ce ar putea face oamenii (Maleahi 3,6; Iacov 1,17). Daca sunt pierduti, vina ramane asupra lor, pentru ca Dumnezeu i-a confruntat cu toate indemnurile de a urma calea cea dreapta (Deuteronom 30,15-20).COMENTARIILE LUI ELLEN G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
