29:1 In anul al zecelea, in ziua a douasprezecea a lunii a zecea, Cuvantul Domnului mi-a vorbit astfel: In anul al zecelea. Al captivitatii lui Ioachin (vezi comentariul la cap. 1,2). Data lunii aratata aici este ianuarie, 587 (vezi p. 572). Profetia se poate sa fi fost data la scurt timp dupa ce Babilonienii incetasera temporar asedierea Ierusalimului din cauza apropierii Egiptenilor sub Hofra (Ieremia 37,5.11). Ieremia profetizase esecul acelei incercari (cap. 37,6-10). Vestile despre evenimentele acelea se poate sa fi stimulat pe exilati la noi nadejdi de eliberare a Ierusalimului, si profetia lui Ezechiel impotriva Egiptului se poate sa-si fi gasit ocazia in aceste imprejurari. 29:2 Fiul omului, intoarce-te cu fata spre Faraon, imparatul Egiptului, si proroceste impotriva lui si impotriva intregului Egipt! Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 29:3 Vorbeste, si spune: Asa vorbeste Domnul, Dumnezeu: Iata ca am necaz pe tine, Faraoane, imparatul Egiptului, crocodil mare, care te culci in mijlocul raurilor tale, si zici: Raul meu Nilul este al meu, eu l-am facut! Faraoane. Cu privire la semnificatia acestui titlu vezi comentariul la Geneza 12,15. Faraonul acum pe tron era Hofra, Apries al grecilor, 589-570 i.Hr. (Vol. II, p. 21). Crocodil mare. (Marele balaur, KJV). Ebr. tannim, ,,sacal”. Totusi un numar de manuscrise ebraice zic tannim ,,un balaur”. Exprimarea aceasta din urma ar sugera crocodilul, un animal caracteristic al Egiptului. Raul meu. Potrivit cu cele spuse de Herodot (ii. 170), Apries se falea ca era atat de bine consolidat in functie incat nici macar un zeu n-ar fi putut sa-l deposedeze de puterea lui. Monumentele Egiptului dau deplina marturie cu privire la fala plina de inaltare de sine a Faraonilor. 29:4 Iti voi pune insa un carlig in falci, voi lipi pestii raurilor tale de solzii tai, si te voi scoate din mijlocul raurilor tale, cu toti pestii care se afla in ele, si care se vor lipi de solzii tai. Carlig in falci. Herodot (ii. 70) descrie cum prindeau crocodilii de Nil cu carlige cu momeala. Dumnezeu urma sa zdrobeasca mandria ingamfata a acestui monarh falos. Pestii care se afla in ele. Sau ,,pestii raurilor tale” . Probabil reprezentand ostirile egiptene, sau aliatii Egiptului. Faraon nu urma sa piara singur. El urma sa prinda si pe altii intr-o ruina comuna cu el. 29:5 Te voi arunca in pustie, pe tine si pe toti pestii din raurile tale. Vei cadea pe fata ogoarelor, nu vei fi ridicat, nici ingropat; ci te voi da de mancare fiarelor pamantului si pasarilor cerului. Pe fata ogoarelor. Aruncati pe fata ogoarelor, ei urmau sa fie devorati de pasari si de animalele de prada. Egiptul avea sa fie dat ca prada. 29:6 Si toti locuitorii Egiptului vor sti ca Eu sunt Domnul, pentru ca au fost o proptea de trestie pentru casa lui Israel. O proptea de trestie. Simbolul avea o aplicatie cunoscuta. Trestia crestea abundent pe malurile Nilului (vezi Exod 2,3). Dumnezeu instiintase de multa vreme contra punerii increderii in ajutor egiptean (Isaia 30,6-7; Isaia 31,3; Ieremia 2,36; comp. 2Regi 18,21; comp. Isaia 36,6). Liga lui Zedechia cu Egiptul era sortita unei infrangeri jalnice (Ieremia 37,5-7). 29:7 Cand au pus mana pe tine, te-ai rupt, si le-ai strapuns tot umarul; cand s-au proptit de tine, te-ai sfaramat, si le-ai scrantit soldurile. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 29:8 De aceea asa vorbeste Domnul Dumnezeu: Iata, voi aduce sabia impotriva ta, si voi nimici cu desavarsire din mijlocul tau oamenii si vitele. Voi aduce sabia. Israel suferea din cauza increderii in Egipt contra poruncii directe a lui Dumnezeu. Si Egiptul urma sa sufere din cauza rautatii lui perfide. 29:9 Tara Egiptului va ajunge o pustietate si un pustiu, si vor sti ca Eu sunt Domnul, pentru ca a zis: Nilul este al meu, eu l-am facut! Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 29:10 De aceea iata ca am necaz pe tine si pe raurile tale, si voi preface tara Egiptului intr-un pustiu si intr-o pustietate, de la Migdol pana la Siena si pana la hotarele Etiopiei. Migdol. Ebr. Migdol, cu sensul de ,,turn”, dar aici un nume propriu. Mai multe locuri in delta rasariteana par sa fi purtat numele acesta. Daca Migdolul de aici este cel mentionat de Ieremia, atunci probabil ca este modernul Tell el-Heir la sud de Pelusium (vezi Ieremia 44,1; 46,14). Siena. Un oras la hotarul extrem sudic al Egiptului, reprezentat de modernul Aswan (uneori scris Assuan), care e situat aproape de ruinele lui. Cele doua orase, Migdol si Siena, reprezinta extremitatile de nord si de sud ale tarii. 29:11 Nici picior de om nu va trece prin ea, nici picior de vita nu va trece prin ea, si va ramane patru zeci de ani fara sa fie locuita. Patruzeci de ani. Starea de pustiire descrisa in v. 9-12 trebuie inteleasa relativ. Limbajul este acela al unui profet poetic caruia nu trebuie sa-i fie tagaduita folosirea puternicei figuri a hiperbolei. Istoria nu raporteaza o deplina depopulare, si nici o perioada de felul acesta de 40 de ani nu este cunoscuta. 29:12 Voi preface tara Egiptului intr-o pustietate in mijlocul altor tari pustiite, si cetatile ei vor fi pustii intre alte cetati pustii, timp de patruzeci de ani. Iar pe Egipteni ii voi risipi printre neamuri, si-i voi imprastia in felurite tari. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 29:13 Asa vorbeste Domnul, Dumnezeu: Dupa patru zeci de ani, voi strange pe Egipteni din mijlocul popoarelor intre care ii voi risipi. Strange pe Egipteni. Spre deosebire de Tir si de alte state canaanite si mai tarziu Babilonul, Egiptul urma sa aiba parte de o reinviere. E dificil de determinat ce eveniment istoric e prevazut aici. 29:14 Voi aduce inapoi pe prinsii de razboi ai Egiptului, ii voi aduce inapoi in tara Patros, in tara lor de bastina, si vor alcatui acolo o imparatie slaba. Patros. O transliterare a formei egipteanului Pa’-ta’-resi si a accadianului Paturisi, regiunea Egiptului de Sus. 29:15 Da, va fi cea mai neinsemnata dintre imparatii, si nu se va mai inalta peste neamuri; ii voi imputina, ca sa nu stapaneasca peste neamuri. Cea mai neinsemnata. Adica ,,cea mai de jos”. Istoric, lucrul acesta s-a implinit. Egiptul a ajuns sub stapanire straina la mai putin de o jumatate de secol dupa timpul acesta, si desi a supravietuit tuturor stapanilor lui straini, niciodata nu s-a ridicat la fosta lui maretie si la fostul lui prestigiu. 29:16 Imparatia aceasta nu va mai fi pentru casa lui Israel o pricina de incredere; ci ii va aduce aminte de nelegiuirea ei, cand se intorcea spre ei. Si vor sti ca Eu sunt Domnul, Dumnezeu. Incredere. Poporul lui Dumnezeu s-a facut adesea vinovat privind la Egipt dupa ajutor (2Regi 17,4; 23,35; Isaia 30,2-3; comp. cap. 34,4.6). Ispita aceasta urma sa fie pe deplin inlaturata. 29:17 In al douazeci si saptelea an, in ziua intai a lunii intai, Cuvantul Domnului mi-a vorbit astfel: In al douazeci si saptelea an. Al captivitatii lui Ioachin (vezi comentariul la cap. 1,2); data lunii cade in Aprilie, 571 sau 570 (vezi p. 572). Aceasta este ultima data care apare in Ezechiel. Solia din v. 17-21 a fost evident plasata aici cu scopul ca toate profetiile cu privire la Egipt sa poata aparea aici laolalta. 29:18 Fiul omului, Nebucadnetar, imparatul Babilonului, si-a pus oastea sa faca o slujba grea impotriva Tirului. Toate capetele au ajuns plesuve, toti umerii sunt jupuiti, si n-a luat de la Tir nici o plata, nici el, nici oastea lui, pentru slujba pe care a facut-o impotriva lui. Nici o plata. Asediul de 13 ani al Tirului s-a sfarsit in 573. Nebucadnetar nu a izbutit sa cucereasca cetatea de pe insula (vezi comentariul la cap. 26,7). Asedierea Egiptului e prezentata aici ca un serviciu adus lui Dumnezeu pentru care Nebucadnetar nu fusese rasplatit dupa cuviinta. 29:19 De aceea, asa vorbeste Domnul Dumnezeu: Iata ca dau lui Nebucadnetar, imparatul Babilonului, tara Egiptului; el ii va ridica bogatiile, o va prada, si o va jefui; aceasta va fi plata ostii lui! Lui Nebucadnetar. Tablite cuneiforme din vremea aceea povestesc despre o campanie contra Egiptului in al treizeci si saptelea an al imparatului (vezi J. B. Pritchard, redactor, Ancient Near Eastern Texts, p. 308). Tablita este sfaramata, asa ca nu se cunoaste raportul intreg al campaniei. Acesta se crede ca este evenimentul la care se face referire de catre Ezechiel. Pentru o tratare mai deplina a aspectelor istorice ale problemei vezi comentariul la Ieremia 46,13; vezi si Vol. III, p. 46. Cu privire la ortografierea aparte ,,Nebucadnetar” vezi comentariul la Daniel 1,1. 29:20 Ca plata pentru slujba facuta impotriva Tirului, ii dau tara Egiptului; caci pentru Mine s-au ostenit, zice Domnul Dumnezeu. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 29:21 In ziua aceea, voi da tarie casei lui Israel, si-ti voi deschide gura vesela in mijlocul lor; si vor sti ca Eu sunt Domnul. Tarie. Sau ,,Corn”. Un simbol al puterii (vezi Deuteronom 33,17; Psalmi 92,10). Cand Israel se va fi deprins sa-si puna increderea numai in Dumnezeu, si nu intr-o putere pamanteasca, de pilda Egiptul, cornul acela care fusese frant urma sa inceapa din nou sa odrasleasca. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
