10:1 Roboam s-a dus la Sihem, caci tot Israelul venise la Sihem sa-l faca imparat. Roboam s-a dus. Capitolul 10 trateaza revolta lui Ieroboam. Raportul paralel este 1 Regi 12,1-19. Deosebirile dintre cele doua rapoarte sunt putine si neinsemnate. Sihem. Cu privire la motivul alegerii de catre Roboam a cetatii Sihem ca loc pentru incoronarea lui, vezi la 1 Regi 12,1. 10:2 Cand a auzit lucrul acesta, Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, era in Egipt, unde fugise de imparatul Solomon; si s-a intors din Egipt. Era in Egipt. Cronicarul nu mentionase anterior fuga lui Ieroboam in Egipt (vezi la 1 Regi 11,26-40) si de aceea probabil el n-a spus ca Ieroboam "era tot in Egipt", asa cum a precizat scriitorul cartii Regi. 10:3 Au trimis sa-l cheme. Atunci Ieroboam si tot Israelul au venit la Roboam si i-au vorbit asa: Au trimis sa-l cheme. [A trimis si l-a chemat, KJV]. Unii considera ca aceasta inseamna ca el a fost chemat nu din Egipt, intrucat se reintorsese deja (vezi v. 2), ci din Efraim (vezi la 1 Regi 12,3). El a fost chemat la Sihem, unde se adunasera semintiile pentru a analiza posibilitatea de a-l face rege pe Roboam. 10:4 Tatal tau ne-a ingreuiat jugul: acum usureaza aceasta aspra robie si jugul greu pe care l-a pus peste noi tatal tau. Si iti vom sluji. Aspra robie. Poporul avea motive indreptatite sa se planga, deoarece planul largit de constructii publice al lui Solomon pusese o povara grea de biruri si ii obligase sa se inroleze in detasamente de munca obligatorie (1 Regi 5,13.14). Cererea era cu totul legitima, de aceea atat dreptatea, cat si prudenta cereau ca noul rege sa acorde atentia cuvenita chestiunii care ii fusese prezentate. 10:5 El le-a zis: Intoarceti-va la mine dupa trei zile. Si poporul a plecat. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:6 Imparatul Roboam a intrebat pe batranii care fusesera cu tatal sau Solomon, in timpul vietii lui, si a zis: Ce ma sfatuiti sa raspund poporului acestuia? Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:7 Si iata ce i-au zis ei: Daca vei fi bun cu poporul acesta, daca-i vei primi bine, si daca le vei vorbi cu bunavointa, iti vor sluji pe vecie. Daca vei fi bun. Nu exista regula mai buna de conducere ca bunatatea. In familie, la scoala, la magazin si oriunde bunatatea incalzeste inima si face prieteni. Daca Roboam ar fi tratat pe poporul sau cu bunatate, aratandu-le ca in calitate de rege al lor avea misiune sa le slujeasca si sa le poarte de grija, le-ar fi castigat inima si si-ar fi salvat regatul. 10:8 Dar Roboam a lasat sfatul pe care i-l dadeau batranii, si a intrebat pe tinerii care crescusera cu el si care-l inconjurau. Batranii. Intelepciunea se inmulteste odata cu anii si cu experienta. Tinerii au nevoie de sfatul celor mai varstnici si cheama necazul cand dispretuiesc sfatul perilor albi. 10:9 El le-a zis: Ce ma sfatuiti sa raspund poporului acestuia care-mi vorbeste astfel: Usureaza jugul pe care l-a pus tatal tau peste noi? Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:10 Si iata ce i-au zis tinerii care crescusera cu el: Asa sa vorbesti poporului acestuia care ti-a vorbit asa: Tatal tau ne-a ingreuiat jugul, iar tu usureaza-ni-l! sa le vorbesti asa: Degetul meu cel mic este mai gros decat coapsele tatalui meu. Tinerii. Sfatul sfetnicilor tineri ai lui Roboam n-a venit din inimi bune sau din minti luminate. Raspunsul pe care l-au propus ei era formulat in cuvinte aspre si intransigente, care nu puteau face altceva decat sa atraga razbunarea si razvratirea. 10:11 Acum, tatal meu a pus peste voi un jug greu, dar eu il voi face si mai greu: tatal meu v-a pedepsit cu bice, dar eu va voi pedepsi cu scorpioane. Scorpioane. Aceste mici vietati cu ace ascutite in coada, care produc dureri violente, par sa fie folosite aici ca simbol al unui bici prevazut cu bucati ascutite de metal, care faceau ca folosirea lui sa fie deosebit de dureroasa si nemiloasa. In felul acesta, Roboam spunea poporului sau ca il va trata si mai aspru decat tatal sau. In decursul veacurilor au fost oameni care au socotit ca guvernarea trebuie sa se faca prin putere si nu prin bunatate si indurare si ca oamenii nu pot fi facuti sa asculte decat prin forta exagerata. Dar verdictul istoriei a fost totdeauna opus. 10:12 Ieroboam si tot poporul au venit la Roboam a treia zi, dupa cum le spusese imparatul: Intoarceti-va la mine peste trei zile. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:13 Imparatul le-a raspuns aspru. Imparatul Roboam a lasat sfatul batranilor, Aspru. Regele n-a dovedit nici o urma de respect fata de sentimentele supusilor sai si n-a dat pe fata spiritul lui Hristos, ci a vorbit ca un despot oriental nemilos. El a urmarit, fireste, sa dea un spectacol de forta, dar de fapt a facut o demonstratie nereusita de slabiciune si lipsa de intelepciune. Cuvintele aspre produc fapte aspre, in timp ce cuvintele bune venite dintr-o inima buna duc la supunere si ascultare, la conlucrare si calm. 10:14 si le-a vorbit asa, dupa sfatul tinerilor: Tatal meu v-a ingreuiat jugul, dar eu il voi ingreuia si mai mult; tatal meu v-a pedepsit cu bice, dar eu va voi pedepsi cu scorpioane. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:15 Astfel imparatul n-a ascultat pe popor; caci asa randuise Dumnezeu, in vederea implinirii cuvantului, pe care-l spusese Domnul prin Ahia din Silo lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat. Dumnezeu. Vezi la cap. 11,4. 10:16 Cand a vazut tot Israelul ca imparatul nu-l asculta, poporul a raspuns imparatului: Ce parte avem noi cu David? Noi n-avem nici o mostenire cu fiul lui Isai! La corturile tale, Israele! Acum, vezi-ti de casa, Davide! Si tot Israelul s-a dus in corturile lui. Nu-l asculta. Regii intelepti au urechi care sunt receptive la glasul supusilor lor. Cand Roboam a preluat tronul, primul lui datorie ar fi fost sa caute sa cunoasca nevoile poporului sau si sa se straduiasca sa indrepte greseli anterioare. Prin lipsa lui de bunavointa de a-si pleca urechea, regele a iscat nesupunere si s-a facut raspunzator de razvratirea care a urmat. Fiul lui Isai. Numai cu putini ani inainte, David fusese un erou national. Acum, din cauza nebuniei odraslei sale, numele lui era detestat in Israel, iar semintiile din nord erau hotarate sa porneasca pe propria lor cale, independenti fata de sud. De casa. De fapt, semintiile ziceau: "Si acum, David, vezi-ti de treburile tale in propria ta tara, iar noi ne vom vedea de treburile noastre". Acestea erau cuvinte de sfidare si de razvratire. Zarurile fusesera aruncate. De aici inainte casa lui David avea sa domneasca numai peste o parte din tara, mai ales peste semintia Iuda a lui David si peste cea a lui Beniamin, in timp ce grosul semintiilor urma sa mearga pe propria lor cale, avand proprii lui domnitori. 10:17 Copiii lui Israel, care locuiau in cetatile lui Iuda, au fost singurii peste care a domnit Roboam. Cetatile lui Iuda. Avand in vedere ca Roboam era din semintia lui Iuda, era numai firesc ca, in imprejurari ca acestea, cand celelalte semintii renuntasera la conducerea lui, propria sa semintie sa-i ramana credincios. Nu se stie daca Solomon scutise sau nu pe propria sa semintie de o parte din impozitele grele si de munca fortata pe care le-a aplicat poporului Israel ca intreg. Hadoram a fost improscat cu pietre de copiii lui Israel, si a murit. Si imparatul Roboam s-a grabit si s-a suit intr-un car, ca sa fuga la Ierusalim. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
