49:1 O LUCRARE CARE CERE CUGETAREA NOASTRĂ 49:2 Relele nu pot fi îndreptate, nici schimbările din caracter nu pot fi săvârşite prin câteva sforţări, făcute din când în când. Sfinţirea nu este lucrarea unei zile sau a unui an, ci a unei 49:3 vieţi întregi. Lupta pentru dobândirea biruinţei faţă de eu, pentru sfinţenie şi cer, este o luptă cât viaţa. Fără un efort continuu şi o activitate constantă, nu poate exista înaintare în viaţa divină, nici dobândirea cununii biruinţei. 49:4 Cea mai puternică dovadă a căderii omului dintr-o poziţie înaltă este faptul că revenirea lui a costat atât de mult. Calea de întoarcere poate fi atinsă numai prin luptă grea, pas cu pas, ceas de ceas. Printr-un act momentan al voinţei, omul poate să se aşeze sub puterea celui rău; dar se cere mai mult decât un act momentan al voinţei pentru sfărâmarea acestor ferecături şi atingerea unei vieţi mai înalte, mai sfinte. Planul poate fi întocmit, lucrarea poate începe; însă aducerea la îndeplinire va cere osteneală, timp, stăruinţă, răbdare şi sacrificiu. 49:5 Asaltaţi de nenumărate ispite, noi trebuie să rezistăm cu hotărâre, căci, dacă nu, aceasta va însemna o pierdere veşnică. 49:6 Sfinţirea lui Pavel era rezultatul unei continue lupte cu sine. El spunea: "În fiecare zi mor". (1 Cor. 15,31). Voinţa şi dorinţele lui veneau zilnic în conflict cu datoria şi cu voinţa lui Dumnezeu. În loc să-şi urmeze înclinaţia, el împlinea voia lui Dumnezeu, răstignindu-şi firea în fiecare clipă. 49:7 Dumnezeu îl conduce pe poporul Său pas cu pas. Viaţa creştină este o bătălie şi un marş. În această luptă, nu există răgaz; efortul trebuie să fie continuu şi stăruitor. Prin neîncetată strădanie, menţinem biruinţa asupra ispitelor lui Satana. Integritatea creştină trebuie căutată cu o forţă neabătută şi păstrată cu o neclintită rămânere la hotărâre. 49:8 Nimeni nu va ajunge sus fără strădanie dârză şi neşovăielnică în interesul său. Toţi trebuie să se prindă în această luptă pentru ei înşişi. Fiecare în parte, suntem răspunzători pentru 49:9 rezultatul luptei; chiar dacă Noe, Iov şi Daniel ar fi fost în ţară, totuşi ei nu şi-ar fi putut scăpa nici fiu, nici fiică, prin neprihănirea lor. 49:10 ŞTIINŢA CE TREBUIE STĂPÂNITĂ 49:11 Există o ştiinţă a creştinismului, care trebuie stăpânită - o ştiinţă mai adâncă, mai întinsă, mai înaltă decât oricare ştiinţă omenească, cum sunt mai înalte cerurile decât pământul. Mintea trebuie disciplinată, educată, formată; căci noi avem de slujit lui Dumnezeu, pe căi care nu se potrivesc cu înclinaţiile noastre fireşti. Trebuie biruite tendinţele spre rău, ereditare sau cultivate. Deseori, formarea şi educaţia de o viaţă trebuie date la o parte pentru a putea deveni ucenic în şcoala lui Hristos. Inimile noastre trebuie educate spre a fi statornice în Dumnezeu. E nevoie să ne formăm obiceiuri de cugetare, care să ne facă în stare să ne împotrivim ispitei. Trebuie să învăţăm să privim în sus. Principiile Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu - principii înalte cât cerul, principii care cuprind veşnicia - trebuie înţelese în raportul lor cu viaţa noastră zilnică. Fiecare faptă, fiecare cuvânt, fiecare gând trebuie să fie în acord cu aceste principii. 49:12 Preţioasele haruri ale Duhului Sfânt nu se dezvoltă într-o clipă. Curajul, tăria morală, blândeţea, credinţa, încrederea statornică în puterea lui Dumnezeu de a mântui, sunt dobândite prin experienţă de ani. Copiii lui Dumnezeu îşi vor sigila soarta printr-o viaţă de sfântă străduinţă şi hotărâtă alipire de ce este drept. 49:13 NU E TIMP DE PIERDUT 49:14 Nu avem timp de pierdut. Nu ştim cât de curând se va termina timpul verificării noastre. Veşnicia se desfăşoară înaintea noastră. Cortina este aproape să se ridice. În curând, vine Hristos. Îngerii lui Dumnezeu caută să ne atragă de la noi înşine şi de la lucrurile pământeşti. Să nu-i lăsăm să muncească în zadar. 49:15 Când Hristos Se înalţă în Sfânta sfintelor, Îşi dezbracă hainele de Mijlocitor şi Se îmbracă cu hainele răzbunării, se va auzi decretul: "Cine este nedrept, să fie nedrept şi mai departe Cine este fără prihană să trăiască şi mai departe fără prihană. Şi cine este sfânt, să se sfinţească şi mai departe. Iată, Eu vin curând şi răsplata Mea este cu Mine, ca să dau fiecăruia după fapta lui." (Apoc. 22,11.12) Vine o furtună, nepotolită în furia ei. Suntem pregătiţi să o întâmpinăm? 49:16 Nu trebuie să spunem: "Primejdiile zilelor din urmă vor veni curând asupra noastră". Ele au şi venit. Acum avem nevoie de solia Domnului, care să taie miezul şi măduva plăcerilor, purtărilor şi patimilor omeneşti. 49:17 Minţile care s-au dedat cugetelor neînfrânte trebuie să se schimbe. "Încingeţi-vă coapsele minţii voastre, fiţi treji, şi puneţi-vă toată nădejdea în harul care vă va fi adus, la arătarea lui Isus Hristos. Ca nişte copii ascultători, nu vă lăsaţi târâţi în poftele, pe care le aveaţi altădată, când eraţi în neştiinţă. Ci, după cum Cel ce v-a chemat este sfânt, fiţi şi voi sfinţi în toată purtarea voastră. Căci este scris: 'Fiţi sfinţi căci Eu sunt sfânt.'" (1 Petru 1,13-16). Cugetele trebuie concentrate asupra lui Dumnezeu. Acum este timpul să depunem eforturi zeloase spre a învinge înclinaţiile fireşti ale inimii de carne. 49:18 Străduinţele noastre, abnegaţia noastră, stăruinţa noastră, trebuie să fie proporţionale cu nemărginita valoare a ţintei pe care o urmărim. Numai biruind aşa cum a biruit Hristos vom câştiga cununa vieţii. 49:19 NEVOIA RENUNŢĂRII LA SINE 49:20 Marea primejdie a omului stă în a se înşela singur, a nutri înfumurare, despărţindu-se astfel de Dumnezeu, izvorul puterii lui. Înclinaţiile noastre fireşti, dacă nu sunt îndreptate de 49:21 Duhul Sfânt al lui Dumnezeu, au în ele seminţele morţii morale. Dacă nu suntem legaţi cu hotărâre de Dumnezeu, nu putem rezista efectelor pângăritoare ale iubirii de sine, îngăduinţei de sine şi ispitei de a păcătui. 49:22 Pentru a primi ajutor de la Hristos, trebuie să ne dăm seama de nevoia noastră. Trebuie să avem o adevărată cunoaştere de noi înşine. Hristos îl poate mântui numai pe acela care recunoaşte că este păcătos. Numai dacă ne dăm seama de completa noastră neajutorare şi renunţăm la orice încredere în noi, vom avea parte de puterea divină. 49:23 Nu numai la începutul vieţii creştine trebuie să fie făcută această renunţare. Ea trebuie reînnoită cu fiecare pas de înaintare spre cer. Toate faptele noastre bune depind de o putere din afara noastră; de aceea este nevoie de o continuă îndreptare a ini-mii către Dumnezeu, o constantă şi zeloasă mărturisire a păcatului şi umilire a sufletului înaintea Lui. Primejdiile ne împresoară; şi noi suntem în siguranţă numai dacă ne simţim slăbiciunea şi ne prindem cu mâna credinţei de puternicul Eliberator. 49:24 INTERESELE CELE MAI ÎNALTE CER ATENŢIE 49:25 Trebuie să ne îndepărtăm de la o mie de lucruri care ne cer atenţie. Sunt lucruri care ne consumă timpul şi cer preocupare, dar la sfârşit nu aduc nimic. Interesele cele mai înalte cer o atenţie încordată şi o străduinţă care deseori este acordată lucrurilor oarecum neînsemnate. 49:26 Acceptarea de teorii noi nu aduce o viaţă nouă în suflet. Chiar şi cunoaşterea faptelor şi teoriilor, importante în ele însele, este de o mică valoare, dacă nu sunt aplicate practic. Trebuie să simţim răspunderea de a da sufletelor noastre hrană care să dea putere şi să stimuleze viaţa spirituală. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
