49:1 Cap. 47 - Distracţiile lumeşti 49:2 Dacă există ceva în lumea noastră, care ar trebuie să inspire entuziasm, aceasta e crucea de pe Calvar. "Vedeţi ce dragoste ne-a arătat Tatăl, să ne numim copii ai lui Dumnezeu! Şi usntem. Lumea nu ne cunoaşte, pentru că nu L-a cunoscut nici pe El." (1 Ioan 3,1). "Fiindcă atât de mult a iubit Dumnezeu lumea, încât a dat pe singurul lui Fiu, pentru ca oricine crede în El, să nu piară, ci să aibă viaţa veşnică." (Ioan 3,16). Hristos trebuie primit, crezut şi glorificat. Aceasta trebuie să fie tema conversaţiei noastre - însemnătatea lui Hristos. 49:3 Reuniunile de plăcere 49:4 În vreme ce există atâta teamă de prea mult entuziasm în slujirea lui Dumnezeu, entuziasmul se manifestă în altă direcţie, ce multora le pare pe deplin normală. Mă refer la reuniunile de plăcere, care au avut loc printre membrii noştri. Aceste ocazii au consumat mult din timpul şi atenţia celor care se declară servi ai lui Hristos. Dar au vizat aceste adunări slava Numelui Său? A fost Isus invitat să le prezideze? 49:5 Întâlnirile cu caracter social pot fi folositoare şi instructive în cel mai înalt grad atunci când cei ce se adună la un loc au vie în inimă dragostea lui Dumnezeu. Ei se întâlnesc pentru a analiza căi de avansare a 49:6 lucrării Lui şi de a face bine semenilor. Atunci când nimic din ceea ce se spune şi se face nu-L întristează pe Duhul Sfânt al lui Dumnezeu, El este un oaspete binevenit la întâlnire, Dumnezeu este onorat şi cei care participă vor fi învioraţi şi revigoraţi. 49:7 "Atunci cei ce se tem de Domnul au vorbit adesea unul cu altul; Domnul a luat aminte la lucrul acesta, şi a ascultat; şi o carte de aducere aminte a fost scrisă înaintea Lui, pentru cei ce se tem de Domnul şi cinstesc Numele Lui. 'Ei vor fi ai Mei' zice Domnul oştirilor, Îmi vor fi o comoară deosebită în ziua pe care o pregătesc Eu. Voi avea milă de ei, cum are milă un om de fiul său, care-i slujeşte'" (Maleahi 3,17.18). 49:8 Dar au avut loc un fel de reuniuni de plăcere, având cu totul altfel de caracter, întâlniri de plăcere, care au însemnat o dezonoare pentru instituţiile şi pentru biserica noastră. Ele au încurajat mândria vestimentară, satisfacerea sinelui, ilaritatea şi conversaţia uşoară. Satana este întreţinut ca un oaspete de seamă şi îi acaparează pe cei ce patronează astfel de reuniuni. 49:9 Mi-a fost prezentată o imagine a unei asemenea reuniuni, în care s-au întâlnit dintre cei care pretind a crede adevărul. Cineva cânta la un instrument muzical, iar cântecele care se auzeau îi făceau pe îngerii veghetori să lăcrimeze. Era veselie, erau râsete, entuziasm din abundenţă şi însufleţire. Dar veselia era o veselie cum numai Satana ştie să creeze. De acest fel de entuziasm şi bună dispoziţie trebuie să se ruşineze toţi cei care-L iubesc pe Dumnezeu. Ele inspiră participanţilor gânduri şi acţiuni nesfinte. Am motive să cred că unii dintre cei angajaţi în acea reuniune s-au căit din inimă pentru ruşinoasa lor performanţă. 49:10 Multe astfel de reuniuni mi-au fost arătate. Am văzut veselia, etalarea vestimentară, podoabele Toţi vor să pară strălucitori şi se dedau la ilaritate, flecăreli, glume proaste şi râsete zgomotoase. Ochii sclipesc, obrajii se îmbujorează, conştiinţa doarme. Mâncând, bând şi veselindu-se, ei fac totul ca să-L uite pe Dumnezeu. Plăcerea e paradisul lor, iar cerul priveşte, vede şi aude. 49:11 Mersul conversaţiei evidenţiază comoara din inimă. Discuţia ieftină, banală, cuvintele uşoare, spiritele proaste, făcute pentru a stârni râsul sunt bunurile lui Satana şi toţi care se dedau la astfel de discuţii îi fac jocul. Cei care aud aceste lucruri, primesc impresii asemănătoare cu aceea a lui Irod, când fiica Irodiadei a dansat înaintea lui. Toate aceste sunt înregistrate în cărţile cerului şi, în ultima şi măreaţa zi, ele vor apărea în adevărata lor lumină înaintea celor vinovaţi. Atunci toţi vor discerne în acestea seducătoarele şi înşelătoarele lucrări ale diavolului pentru a-i aduce pe calea şi poarta cea largă, care se deschide spre ruină. 49:12 Satana şi-a înmulţit capcanele; şi pretinşi creştini, superficiali în caracter şi experienţă religioasă, sunt folosiţi de ispititor ca momeală. Aceştia sunt întotdeauna gata pentru reuniuni de plăcere sau pentru petreceri, iar influenţa lor îi atrage şi pe alţii. Tineri şi tinere care încearcă să fie creştini biblici, sunt convinşi să participe la petrecere şi sunt antrenaţi în ea. Ei nu consultă în rugăciune standardul divin, 49:13 pentru a afla ce a spus Hristos în legătură cu roada ce trebuie adusă de pomul creştin. Ei nu-şi dau seama că aceste distracţii sunt adevărate banchete ale lui Satana, pregătite să împiedice sufletele să răspundă invitaţiei la masa de la Nunta Mielului şi să primească haina cea albă de nuntă, a caracterului, care este neprihănirea lui Hristos. Ei devin confuzi faţă de ceea ce trebuie să facă în calitate de creştini. Nedorind să fie consideraţi aparte, ei înclină în mod natural să urmeze exemplul celorlalţi şi astfel ajung sub influenţa celor care niciodată n-au simţit în inimă sau în minte atingerea divină... 49:14 Atitudinea corectă a creştinului 49:15 Dumnezeul cel veşnic a trasat linia de demarcaţie între sfinţi şi păcătoşi, între convertiţi şi neconvertiţi. Aceste două categorii nu se întrepătrund imperceptibil, aşa cum o fac culorile curcubeului. Ele sunt la fel de distincte ca amiaza de miezul nopţii. 49:16 Aceia care caută neprihănirea lui Hristos vor zăbovi asupra temelor măreţei mântuiri. Biblia este izvorul de hrană pentru sufletele lor. Ei meditează la întruparea lui Hristos, contemplă marea jertfă care a avut loc pentru a-i salva de la pieire, aducându-le iertare, pace şi neprihănire veşnică. Sufletul este sensibilizat de aceste teme înălţătoare. Sfinţenia şi adevărul, harul şi neprihănirea sunt cele ce preocupă gândul lor. Atunci eul moare şi Hristos trăieşte în servii Lui. Contemplând Cuvântul, inimile lor ard aşa cum ardea inima în cei doi ucenici, care mergeau spre Emaus 49:17 cu Isus alături, deschizându-le Scripturile referitoare la El. 49:18 Cât de puţini realizează că, nevăzut, Isus merge alături de ei! Cât de ruşinaţi ar fi mulţi să audă vocea Sa vorbindu-le şi să ştie că El ascultă conversaţia lor uşoară! Şi câte inimi ar arde de bucuria sfântă, numai dacă ar şti că Mântuitorul merge alături, că sfânta atmosferă a prezenţei Lui îi învăluie şi că El îi hrăneşte cu pâinea vieţii! Cât de bucuros ar fi Mântuitorul să-i audă pe urmaşii Lui vorbind despre valoroasele Sale învăţături şi să ştie că ei au plăcere în lucrurile sfinte! 49:19 Atunci când adevărul se află în inimă, nu mai este loc pentru critici sau pentru vânătoare de greşeli. Ceea ce este în inimă va curge de pe buze fără oprelişte. Lucrurile pe care le-a pregătit Dumnezeu pentru aceia care-L iubesc vor fi tema conversaţiei. Dragostea lui Hristos este în inimă ca un izvor de apă, curgând vioi spre viaţa veşnică şi trimiţând unde vii, aducătoare de viaţă şi voioşie, pretutindeni pe unde ajung. (Special Testimonies to the Battle Creek Church, 18 noiembrie 1896). 49:20 Creştinii au la dispoziţie multe surse ale fericirii şi pot spune precis care plăceri sunt corecte şi îngăduite. Ei se pot bucura de recreaţii care nu rătăcesc mintea sau înjosesc sufletul, care nu dezamăgesc, nu influenţează spre distrugerea respectului de sine şi nu barează calea spre utilitate. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
