56:1 5. INFLUENTA PRIN SCRIS 56:2 Literatura despre temperanta. - In ceea ce priveste temperanta, avem de facut o lucrare, pe langa aceea de a vorbi in public. Noi trebuie sa ne prezentam principiile prin articole si publicatii. - Gospel Workers, pag. 385. 56:3 Fiecare adventist sa transmita literatura. - Cauza temperantei trebuie sa primeasca un sprijin hotarat din partea poporului lui Dumnezeu. Necumpatarea se lupta pentru suprematie; ingaduirea de sine ia amploare si este mare nevoie de publicatii despre reforma sanatatii. Literatura de acest gen este mana de ajutor a Evangheliei, conducand suflete la studierea Bibliei, pentru o mai buna intelegere a adevarului. Avertizarea prin scris impotriva marelui rau al necumpatarii trebuie sa fie puternica si, pentru ca acest lucru sa poata fi realizat, fiecare pazitor al Sabatului ar trebui sa studieze si sa practice invatatura cuprinsa in periodicele si cartile noastre care trateaza problema sanatatii. Si, mai mult decat atat, ei trebuie sa faca eforturi sustinute pentru raspandirea acestor publicatii in randul apropiatilor lor. - Counsels on Health, pag. 469. 56:4 Ajungeti la oameni acolo unde se afla. - Raspandirea publicatiilor noastre despre sanatate este o lucrare dintre cele mai importante. Este o lucrare in care toti cei care cred adevarurile speciale pentru aceasta vreme trebuie sa manifeste un viu interes. Dumnezeu doreste ca acum, mai mult ca oricand, mintea oamenilor sa fie adanc provocata la studiul marii probleme a temperantei si al principiilor care definesc adevarata reforma a sanatatii. Modul de viata trebuie atent indrumat, cultivat si imbunatatit pentru ca, in oameni, natura divina sa poata fi descoperita in plinatatea ei. Atat puterile fizice cat si cele intelectuale, impreuna cu simtamintele, trebuie sa fie astfel educate, incat sa atinga o eficienta maxima. Reforma, reforma neintrerupta trebuie sa fie adusa in atentia oamenilor... 56:5 Lumina data de Dumnezeu in privinta reformei sanatatii este pentru mantuirea noastra si a lumii. Oamenii trebuie informati in legatura cu corpul lor, facut de Creatorul nostru ca loc al Sau de sedere si pentru care doreste ca noi sa fim ispravnici credinciosi. Aceste mari adevaruri trebuie prezentate lumii. Trebuie sa ajungem la oameni acolo unde se afla ei si, prin sfat si exemplu, sa-i conducem sa vada frumusetile unei cai mai bune... 56:6 Nimeni sa nu considere ca raspandirea publicatiilor despre sanatate este o chestiune minora. Toti trebuie sa abordam aceasta 56:7 lucrare cu mai mult interes si sa facem eforturi mai mari pentru ea. Dumnezeu ii va binecuvanta din plin pe cei care se ocupa de acest lucru cu seriozitate, pentru ca este o treaba careia i se cuvine atentie in aceasta vreme. 56:8 Pastorii pot si trebuie sa faca mult in ceea ce priveste raspandirea publicatiilor despre sanatate. Fiecare membru al bisericii trebuie sa lucreze si pentru aceste publicatii la fel de sarguincios ca pentru celelalte... 56:9 Raspandirea publicatiilor de sanatate va fi un agent forte in pregatirea oamenilor pentru acceptarea acelor adevaruri speciale care-i vor pregati pentru apropiata revenire a Fiului omului. - Counsels on Health, pag. 445 - 447. 56:10 Poporul nostru de pretutindeni sa se angajeze. - Oriunde va aflati, lumina voastra sa straluceasca cu putere. Oferiti publicatiile noastre celor cu care intrati in legatura cand calatoriti, cand faceti vizite sau cand stati de vorba cu vecinii. Si valorificati orice ocazie de a spune vreun cuvant potrivit. In unele inimi, Duhul Sfant va face ca samanta sa rodeasca. 56:11 Am cuvinte de incurajare in privinta editiei speciale [despre temperanta] a publicatiei Watchman [Strajerul] pe care Southern Publishing House o va scoate. M-as bucura sa vad cum conferintele noastre ajuta aceasta lucrare, luand un mare numar de exemplare ale editiei, pentru a le raspandi, si nepunand piedici acestui efort, ci angajandu-se sa-i asigure o larga circulatie. 56:12 Nu poate fi un timp mai potrivit decat acum pentru o miscare de acest gen, cand problema temperantei creeaza un atat de larg interes. Poporul nostru de pretutindeni sa se angajeze hotarat sa faca cunoscuta pozitia pe care o avem fata de temperanta. Sa fie facut tot posibilul pentru lansarea de apeluri puternice si miscatoare pentru inchiderea localurilor de baut, iar publicatia in care ele apar sa devina o putere spre bine. Lucrarea noastra pentru cauza temperantei trebuie sa fie mai animata, mai hotarata. - Review and Herald, 18 iunie 1908. 56:13 Responsabilitatea noastra la acest ceas solemn. - Asupra noastra, cei carora Dumnezeu le-a dat o mare lumina, sta solemna raspundere de a atrage atentia celor care mediteaza la semnificatia predominarii alcoolismului si a crimei cu care omenirea a devenit atat de obisnuita. Noi trebuie sa le aducem in minte Scripturile, care descriu clar starile de lucruri ce vor exista exact inainte de a doua venire a lui Hristos... In aceste vremuri, cand ziarele cotidiene sunt pline de detalii oribile ale efectelor alcoolismului si crimelor, exista o tendinta de a deveni atat de obisnuiti cu starile de lucruri existente, incat sa pierdem din vedere semnificatia acestor situatii. Violenta cuprinde tara. Se foloseste bautura ametitoare mai mult ca niciodata. Relatari ale crimelor rezultate sunt din plin facute in ziare. Si totusi, in ciuda multelor evidente ale sporirii faradelegii, oamenii rar se opresc pentru a privi in mod serios la semnificatia acestor lucruri. Aproape fara exceptie, ei se lauda cu iluminarea si progresul acestui veac... 56:14 Cat de important este ca solii lui Dumnezeu sa atraga atentia oamenilor de stat, editorilor, ganditorilor de pretutindeni, la adanca semnificatie a existentei alcoolismului si violentei ce umplu in prezent tara de pustiire si moarte! Ca fideli colaboratori cu Dumnezeu, noi trebuie sa sustinem o marturie hotarata in problema temperantei... 56:15 Acum este ocazia noastra de aur de a coopera cu inteligentele ceresti pentru iluminarea intelegerii celor care studiaza insemnatatea rapidei evolutii a crimei si dezastrului. Facandu-ne cu credinciosie partea, Domnul ne va binecuvanta eforturile depuse pentru salvarea multor suflete pretioase. - Review and Herald, 25 octombrie 1906. 56:16 Mergeti incarcati cu materiale de citit. - Publicatiile despre reforma sanatatii vor ajunge la multi din cei care nu vad sau nu citesc nimic din subiectele importante ale Bibliei. Satisfacerea oricarui apetit pervertit isi face lucrarea ei mortala. Necumpatarea trebuie combatuta. Prin eforturi inteligente si reunite, faceti cunoscute relele 56:17 amortirii, cu vin si bauturi tari, a capacitatilor date de Dumnezeu. Adevarul reformei sanatatii trebuie sa ajunga la oameni. Este un lucru esential pentru atragerea atentiei lor spre adevarul biblic. 56:18 Dumnezeu cere ca poporul Sau sa fie cumpatat in toate lucrurile. Daca nu practica temperanta, ei nu pot si nu vor fi sfintiti prin adevar. Chiar mintea si gandurile lor vor deveni pervertite. Multi dintre aceia considerati ca fiind fara speranta de pervertiti vor fi, printr-o instruire corecta cu privire la obiceiurile lor rele, atrasi spre adevar. Atunci ei vor putea fi innobilati, sfintiti si facuti vase potrivite pentru slujirea lui Dumnezeu. Mergeti incarcati cu material bun de citit si cu inima plina de dragostea lui Hristos pentru sufletele lor, ajungand pana acolo unde se afla ei. - Manuscris 1, 1875. 56:19 Organizati si pregatiti pentru o lucrare eficienta. - Trebuie sa lucram pentru cauza reformei sanatatii, facand din treaba acesta una de interes vital. Este unul din felurile in care putem deveni pescari de oameni. O lucrare buna se face prin raspandirea literaturii noastre. Alcatuiti echipe pentru efectuarea unei atente lucrari. Invatati sa vorbiti fara a ofensa. Cultivati blandetea in vorbire. Harul lui Hristos sa fie din abundenta in voi, adresandu-va unii altora cuvinte de incurajare. Fac un serios apel catre intregul nostru popor, inrolati - va! - Manuscris 99, 1908. 56:20 Avertizati! - Poporul lui Dumnezeu trebuie sa fie gata si pe deplin constient si disponibil in orice ocazie de propasire a cauzei Domnului. El are o solie de purtat. Prin scris si prin grai, el trebuie sa faca sa rasune avertizarea; doar putini vor asculta, doar putini vor avea urechi sa auda. Satana a urzit cu iscusinta multe cai de a-i mentine pe oameni sub influenta lui. El ii indruma la slabirea organelor proprii prin satisfacerea apetitului pervertit si prin 56:21 ingaduirea placerii lumesti. Bautura ametitoare, tutunul, teatrul si cursele - acestea si multe alte rele - amortesc sensibilitatile omului si-i fac pe multi sa aiba urechea surda la apelurile pline de har ale lui Dumnezeu. - Review and Herald, 23 iunie 1903. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
