50:1 2. IN COLABORARE CU W. C. T. U. (UNIUNEA FEMEILOR PENTRU TEMPERANTA CRESTINA) 50:2 O organizatie cu care ne putem asocia. - W.C.T.U. este o organizatie cu ale carei eforturi pentru raspandirea principiilor temperantei ne putem uni cu toata inima. Mi-a fost data lumina ca nu trebuie sa stam departe de aceasta organizatie ci, atata vreme cat nu este nici o sacrificare de principii din partea noastra, sa ne unim pe cat posibil cu membrii ei in lucrarea pentru reforma temperantei... Trebuie sa lucram cu ei cand se poate si putem cu siguranta face lucrul acesta in problema inchiderii totale a localurilor de baut. 50:3 Cand agentul uman isi supune vointa vointei a lui Dumnezeu, Duhul Sfant va impresiona inimile acelora pentru care lucram. Mi-a fost aratat ca nu trebuie sa-i ocolim pe lucratorii W.C.T.U. Unindu-ne 50:4 cu ei in favoarea abstinentei totale, noi nu ne schimbam pozitia referitoare la pazirea zilei a saptea si ne putem arata aprecierea pentru pozitia lor referitoare la subiectul temperantei. Deschizand usa si invitandu-i sa ni se alature in chestiunea temperantei, ne asiguram ajutorul lor iar ei, unindu-se cu noi, vor afla noi adevaruri pe care Duhul Sfant asteapta sa le imprime in inimi. - Review and Herald, 18 iunie 1908. 50:5 Indiferenta surprinzatoare. - Am avut cateva ocazii de a vedea marele avantaj ce se poate obtine prin asocierea cu lucratorii W.C.T.U. si am fost foarte surprinsa, observand indiferenta multora dintre liderii nostri fata de aceasta organizatie. Fac un apel catre fratii mei, sa se trezeasca. - Scrisoarea 274, 1907. 50:6 Cum se poate conlucra. - Trebuie, in acest timp, sa aratam un interes pronuntat fata de lucrarea Uniunii Femeilor pentru Temperanta Crestina. Nici unul dintre cei care pretind ca au un rol in lucrarea lui Dumnezeu n-ar trebui sa-si slabeasca interesul fata de marele obiectiv al acestei organizatii in domeniul temperantei. 50:7 Ar fi un lucru bun ca la adunarile noastre in aer liber sa invitam sa ia parte la program si membri ai W.C.T.U. Aceasta i-ar ajuta sa devina mai familiari cu ratiunile credintei noastre si ne-ar deschide calea asocierii cu ei in lucrarea temperantei. Facand lucrul acesta, vom ajunge sa vedem ca problema temperantei inseamna mai mult decat banuiau multi dintre noi. 50:8 In unele chestiuni, membrii W.C.T.U. sunt cu mult inaintea liderilor nostri. Domnul are, in randurile acestei organizatii, suflete pretioase, care ne pot fi de mare ajutor in efortul de a duce inainte lucrarea temperantei. Iar educatia pe care poporul nostru a primit-o prin adevarul Bibliei si prin cunoasterea cerintelor legii lui Iehova, va da posibilitate surorilor noastre sa ofere acestor nobile sustinatoare ale 50:9 temperantei ceea ce va fi spre binele lor spiritual. Astfel se va crea o comuniune si impreuna - simtire acolo unde, candva, a fost prejudecata si intelegere gresita... 50:10 Nu putem face o treaba mai buna decat aceea de a ne uni, atat cat o putem face fara compromis, cu lucratorii W.C.T.U. Referitor la lucrul acesta, am scris unei surori, in anul 1898: "Sunt deplin incredintata ca Domnul te conduce astfel incat sa poti sustine principiile temperantei limpezi si distincte, in toata puritatea lor, legate cu adevarul pentru aceste zile finale. Cei care implinesc vointa Lui vor cunoaste invatatura... Domnul nu te sfatuieste sa stai deoparte fata de Uniunea Femeilor pentru Temperanta Crestina. Acestea au nevoie de toata lumina pe care le-o poti da. Fa sa straluceasca toata lumina posibila, in calea lor. Poti fi in asentiment cu ele pe taramul principiilor curate si inaltatoare care au adus la existenta W.C.T.U. Domnul ti-a dat capacitati si talente pe care sa le pastrezi nealterate, in simplitatea lor. Prin Isus Hristos, poti face o lucrare buna. - Review and Herald, 15 octombrie 1914 (text partial folosit in Gospel Workers, pag. 384, 385). 50:11 Sa le invete cum sa lucreze pe surorile noastre. - Mult bine s-ar realiza, daca ar fi invitate femei din cadrul W.C.T.U sa ia parte la adunarile noastre in aer liber, invatandu-le pe surorile noastre cum sa lucreze. La aceste adunari, ele vor si da, vor si primi. Este de facut o mare lucrare si, in loc sa prezentam caracteristicile credintei noastre, care ridica obiectiuni din partea celor necredinciosi, mai bine sa le spunem asa cum i-a spus Filip lui Natanael: "Vino si vezi!" 50:12 Nu ne putem uni in preamarirea duminicii. - Vreau sa ne aliem cu lucratorii W.C.T.U., dar nu ne putem uni cu ei intr-o lucrare de preamarire a unui sabat fals. Nu putem conlucra in puncte ce inseamna calcare a Legii lui Dumnezeu, ci le putem spune "Veniti la adevar!" - Manuscris 93, 1908. 50:13 Nu refuzati niciodata invitatiile de a vorbi. - Mi s-a pus intrebarea: 50:14 "Daca suntem solicitati de W.C.T.U. sa vorbim in adunarile lor, sa acceptam invitatia?" 50:15 Raspunsul meu este: "Cand vi se cere sa vorbiti in astfel de adunari, nu refuzati niciodata". Aceasta este regula pe care am urmat-o intotdeauna. Cand mi s-a cerut sa vorbesc despre temperanta, niciodata n-am ezitat. Printre cei care lucreaza pentru temperanta, Domnul are suflete carora le trebuie prezentat adevarul pentru acest timp. Noi trebuie sa ducem o solie Organizatiei Femeilor pentru Temperanta Crestina. 50:16 Unul din scopurile lui Isus pe acest pamant a fost sa reflecte lumina neprihanirii Sale celor aflati in intuneric. Lucratorii W.C.T.U. nu au intregul adevar in toate privintele, dar fac o lucrare buna. - Manuscris 31, 1901. 50:17 Liberi sa actionam impreuna cu cei din W.C.T.U. - Sunt profund interesata de W.C.T.U. Domnului ii place sa va simtiti liberi in a lucra impreuna cu cei din organizatie... Nu ma tem ca v-ati pierde din interesul pentru adevar sau ca ati alunecat de la el din cauza ca manifestati interes fata de acesti oameni care au luat o pozitie atat de nobila in problema temperantei si-i voi indemna pe cei din poporul nostru si pe cei care nu au aceeasi credinta cu noi sa ne ajute in ducerea inainte a lucrarii temperantei crestine... 50:18 In lucrarile noastre, sotul meu si cu mine am simtit intotdeauna ca era datoria noastra sa demonstram, in orice loc unde tineam adunari, ca eram pe deplin de acord cu lucratorii pentru cauza temperantei. Intotdeauna am prezentat limpede aceasta problema oamenilor. Am primit invitatii pentru a vorbi in diferite locuri despre temperanta si intotdeauna, cand a fost posibil, am acceptat aceste invitatii. A fost experienta mea nu numai in aceasta tara, ci si in Europa si Australia si celelalte locuri unde am lucrat. 50:19 Nu pierdeti nici o ocazie de a va asocia lucrarii pentru temperanta. - Imi pare rau ca nu a existat un interes mai viu in randurile noastre, in ultimii ani, pentru dezvoltarea acestei ramuri a lucrarii lui Dumnezeu. Nu ne putem permite sa pierdem nici o ocazie de a ne alatura lucrarii pentru temperanta, oriunde ar fi ea. Desi cauza temperantei nu avanseaza intotdeauna, in strainatate, atat de repede 50:20 cat am dori, succese remarcabile au insotit eforturile celor care s-au angajat in ea. Am gasit in Europa oameni hotarati in aceasta privinta, intr-o ocazie, cand am acceptat invitatia de a vorbi unui larg auditoriu despre subiectul temperantei, oamenii de acolo mi-au facut onoarea de a drapa amvonul cu steagul american. Cuvintele mele au fost primite cu cel mai profund interes si, la sfarsitul vorbirii, mi s-a multumit din inima. N-am avut niciodata, in toata lucrarea mea referitoare la temperanta, parte de vreun cuvant de dezaprobare. - Scrisoarea 278, 1907. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
