38:1 Sectiunea a IX-a - Cum se pun bazele necumpatarii 1. INFLUENTA PARINTEASCA 38:2 Unde ar trebui sa inceapa reforma. - Eforturile lucratorilor nostri in domeniul temperantei nu bat atat de departe, incat sa alunge blestemul necumpatarii din tara. Odata formate, obiceiurile sunt greu de rapus. Reforma ar trebui inceputa cu mama, inainte de nasterea copiilor ei; si daca instructiunile lui Dumnezeu sunt respectate cu credinciosie, necumpatarea nu va exista. 38:3 Conformarea obiceiurilor cu voia lui Dumnezeu trebuie sa fie efortul constant al oricarei mame, pentru a putea actiona in armonie cu El, pentru pazirea copiilor ei de viciile nimicitoare de viata din ziua de azi. Mamele sa intre, fara nici o zabava, intr-o relatie corecta cu Creatorul lor pentru a putea, asistate de harul Lui, sa ridice in jurul copiilor lor un dig impotriva usuratatii si necumpatarii. - Counsels on Diet and Foods, pag. 225, 226. 38:4 Obiceiurile tatalui si ale mamei. - De regula, orice barbat lipsit de temperanta, care creste copii, le transmite acestora inclinatiile si tendintele lui rele. - Review and Herald, 21 noiembrie 1882. 38:5 Copilul va fi influentat spre bine sau rau de obiceiurile mamei. Ea trebuie sa fie condusa de principii si sa practice cumpatarea si renuntarea la sine, daca vrea sa urmareasca binele copilului ei. - Counsels on Diet and Foods, pag. 218. 38:6 Mostenirea tendintelor rele. - Gandurile si sentimentele mamei vor avea o puternica influenta asupra zestrei pe care ea o transmite copilului. Daca permite mintii sa se ia dupa simtaminte, daca se complace in egoism, daca este irascibila si capricioasa, starea copilului ei va indica acest fapt. Astfel, multi au primit ca mostenire tendinte spre rau aproape de nebiruit. Vrajmasul sufletelor intelege lucrul acesta mult mai bine decat o fac multi dintre parinti. Satana isi va orienta ispitele spre mama, stiind ca, daca aceasta nu ii rezista, el ii va putea afecta copilul, prin ea. Singura speranta a mamei este la Dumnezeu. Ea poate alerga la El pentru putere si har si nu va fi zadarnic. - Signs of the Times, 13 septembrie 1910. 38:7 Solia lui Dumnezeu pentru fiecare mama. - Grija cu care mama trebuie sa-si controleze obiceiurile vietii este aratata in Scripturi. Cand Domnul a intentionat sa-l ridice pe Samson ca izbavitor al Israelului, "ingerul Domnului" i s-a aratat mamei cu instructiuni speciale, referitoare la obiceiurile ei si, de asemenea, la felul in care sa aiba grija de copil: "sa nu bei nici vin, nici bautura tare, si sa nu mananci nimic necurat." Jud. 13, 13. 7. 38:8 Efectul influentei parintilor este considerat de multi dintre acestia ca fiind o chestiune de mica importanta; dar nu asa vede si cerul. Solia trimisa printr-un inger al lui Dumnezeu si prezentata de doua ori in modul cel mai solemn, se dovedeste a fi demna de cea mai atenta consideratie a noastra. 38:9 Prin cuvintele spuse mamei evreice, Dumnezeu vorbeste tuturor mamelor din toate timpurile. "Femeia sa se fereasca de tot ce i-am spus", a zis ingerul. Bunastarea copilului va fi influentata de obiceiurile mamei. Poftele si dorintele ei trebuie sa fie supuse principiilor. Exista ceva de evitat pentru ea, ceva de combatut, daca vrea sa implineasca scopul lui Dumnezeu cu ea, acela de a avea un copil. Daca inainte de nasterea copilului mama este ingaduitoare cu sine, daca este egoista, nervoasa si capricioasa, aceste trasaturi se 38:10 vor reflecta in dispozitia copilului. In felul acesta, multi copii au primit drept mostenire tendinte spre rau aproape de neinvins. Dar daca mama adera ferm la principiile drepte, daca este cumpatata si dovedeste renuntare de sine, daca este buna, blanda si altruista, poate transmite copilului ei aceleasi pretioase trasaturi de caracter. Foarte clara a fost porunca de interzicere a folosirii vinului de catre mama. Orice picatura de alcool luata de mama pentru satisfacerea apetitului pune in pericol sanatatea fizica, intelectuala si morala a copilului ei si este un pacat chiar impotriva Creatorului. - The Ministry of Healing, pag. 372, 373. 38:11 Raspundere pentru starea generatiilor urmatoare. - Daca femeile din generatiile trecute ar fi fost intotdeauna motivate de inalte consideratii, constiente ca generatiile care urmeaza vor fi mai bune sau mai rele, in functie de felul in care au actionat ele, si-ar fi luat seama si nu si-ar fi unit interesele vietii cu barbati nutrind pofte nenaturale pentru bauturi alcoolice si tutun, care constituie o otrava lenta, dar sigura si mortala, prin slabirea sistemului nervos si degradarea nobilelor facultati ale mintii. Ramanand barbatii legati de aceste obiceiuri urate, ele ar fi trebuit sa-i lase in voia singuratatii, sa se bucure de ceea ce ei au ales. Femeile n-ar fi trebuit sa se autodesconsidere intr-atat, incat sa-si uneasca destinul cu barbati care nu au control asupra propriilor pasiuni si a caror fericire esentiala consta in a manca, a bea si a-si satisface pasiunile animalice. 38:12 Femeile n-au urmat intotdeauna indemnurile ratiunii in locul celor ale impulsului. In mare masura, ele n-au simtit responsabilitatile pe care le au, de a-si forma obiceiuri care sa nu imprime progeniturii lor un nivel moral scazut si o dorinta de satisfacere a apetitului decazut, cu pretul sanatatii si chiar al vietii. Dumnezeu le va face raspunzatoare, in mare parte, de sanatatea fizica si caracterele morale, transmise astfel generatiilor urmatoare. - How to Live, Nr. 2, pag. 27. 28. 38:13 Copilul nou-nascut. - Intrebarea tatilor si a mamelor ar trebui sa fie: "Ce trebuie sa facem pentru copilul care ni se va naste?" Am prezentat cititorului ce a spus Dumnezeu referitor la ce trebuie sa faca mamele inainte de nasterea copiilor lor, dar asta nu este totul, ingerul Gabriel a fost trimis din curtile ceresti pentru a da instructiuni de ingrijire a copiilor dupa nastere, pentru ca parintii sa poata intelege deplin datoria lor. 38:14 In preajma primei veniri a lui Hristos, ingerul Gabriel a venit la Zaharia cu o solie asemanatoare celei date lui Manoah. Varstnicului preot i s-a spus ca sotia ii va naste un fiu, al carui nume avea sa fie Ioan. "El va fi pentru tine o pricina de bucurie si veselie si multi se vor bucura de nasterea lui. Caci va fi mare inaintea Domnului. Nu va bea nici vin nici bautura ametitoare si se va umple de Duhul Sfant". Acest copil al fagaduintei trebuia sa creasca in obiceiuri de stricta temperanta. Lui avea sa i se incredinteze o lucrare importanta, aceea de pregatire a caii pentru Hristos. 38:15 Necumpatarea exista in popor sub orice forma. Ingaduinta in privinta vinului si mancarurilor grele slabea puterea fizica si degrada moralul in asa masura, incat cele mai revoltatoare crime nu erau vazute ca pacat. Glasul lui Ioan a trebuit sa rasune puternic din pustie, in mustrare hotarata fata de ingaduintele pacatoase ale poporului; iar obiceiurile lui austere erau, de asemenea, o mustrare fata de excesele din vremea sa. - Counsels on Diet and Foods, pag. 225. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
