9:1 Lucrarea care contribuie la sanatate 9:2 Iubite frate si sora I.: Mi-a fost aratat ca ati gresit in conducerea copiilor vostri. Voi ati primit idei la ___ de la dr. I., despre care ati vorbit in fata pacientilor si in fata copiilor vostri. Aceste idei nu vor fi aduse la indeplinire. Din punctul de vedere al doctorului I., ele pot sa nu apara atat de inadmisibile; dar, vazute din punct de vedere crestin, sunt categoric periculoase. Instructiunea pe care a dat-o dr. I. in legatura cu evitarea muncii fizice s-a dovedit o mare paguba pentru multi. Sistemul de a nu face nimic este un sistem primejdios. Nevoia de distractii, asa cum invata si prescrie pacientilor sai, este o eroare. Ca sa ocupe timpul si sa angajeze mintea, ele sunt facute un inlocuitor pentru exercitiul folositor si sanatos si pentru munca fizica. Distractii ca cele recomandate de dr. I. excita creierul mai mult decat ocupatia folositoare. 9:3 Exercitiul fizic combinat cu munca are o influenta favorabila asupra mintii, intareste muschii, imbunatateste circulatia si da bolnavului satisfactia de a-si cunoaste propria lui putere de rezistenta; in timp ce, daca este oprit de la exercitiu sanatos si munca fizica, atentia lui este indreptata asupra lui insusi. El este intr-o primejdie continua de a se crede mai rau decat este in realitate si de a se statornici in el o imagine bolnava, care da nastere la teama continua ca este impovarat peste puterile lui de rezistenta. Ca regula generala, daca urmeaza sa se angajeze intr-o munca oarecare, bine indrumata, folosindu-si puterea si neabuzand de ea, el va afla ca exercitiul fizic se va dovedi mai puternic si un agent de vindecare mai efectiv chiar si decat tratamentul cu apa pe care-l primeste acum. 9:4 Inactivitatea puterilor mintale si fizice, in masura in care este vorba de munca folositoare, este aceea care ii mentine pe multi bolnavi intr-o stare de slabiciune, peste care se simt neputinciosi sa se ridice. Ea le da, de asemenea, o ocazie mai mare de a se deda la o imaginatie care nu-i curata - o ingaduinta care a adus pe multi dintre ei in starea actuala de slabiciune. Li se spune ca au cheltuit prea multa vitalitate in munca grea, cand, in noua cazuri din zece, munca indeplinita de ei a fost singurul lucru salvator din viata lor si a fost mijlocul de a fi salvati de la ruina totala. A face ca astfel de persoane sa inceteze de a mai lucra cu creierul si cu muschii inseamna a le da o mare ocazie sa fie luati robi de catre ispitele lui Satana. 9:5 Dr. I. a recomandat ca sexele sa se amestece; el a invatat ca sanatatea mintala si fizica cere o mai stransa asociatie unul cu altul. O astfel de invatatura a facut si face un mare rau tinerilor si copiilor fara experienta si este o mare satisfactie pentru barbati si femei cu caracter dubios, ale caror pasiuni n-au fost niciodata stapanite si care, din aceasta cauza, sufera de diferite dezordini care-i slabesc. Persoanele acestea sunt invatate, din punct de vedere al sanatatii, sa fie mult timp in societatea sexului opus. In felul acesta, in fata lor este deschisa o usa a ispitei, patima se trezeste ca un leu in inima lor, orice consideratie este oprimata si tot ce este inalt si nobil este sacrificat poftei pacatoase. Aceasta este o epoca in care lumea este inundata de stricaciune. Daca mintea si trupul barbatilor si femeilor ar fi sanatoase, daca patimile senzuale ar fi supuse unor mai inalte puteri intelectuale ale mintii, ar putea fi potrivit sa se invete ca baietii si fetele si chiar tinerii de varsta mai matura ar putea beneficia aflandu-se unii in societatea altora. 9:6 Daca mintea tineretului din acest veac ar fi curata si nestricata, fetele ar putea avea o influenta alinatoare asupra 9:7 mintii si manierelor baietilor, iar baietii, cu natura lor mai puternica si mai hotarata, ar putea avea o tendinta de a innobila si a intari caracterul fetelor. Dar este un fapt dureros ca nu exista o fata din o suta care este curata la suflet si nu exista un baiat din o suta a carui morala sa fie nepatata. Multi care sunt mai in varsta au mers asa de departe in viata de desfrau, incat sunt stricati la trup si suflet; si stricaciunea a cuprins o mare clasa care, printre barbati si femei, trec drept domni bine crescuti si doamne frumoase. Nu este timpul sa se recomande ca folositor amestecul sexelor, ramanerea lor cat mai mult posibil unul in compania celuilalt. Blestemul acestui veac stricat este absenta adevaratei virtuti si modestii. 9:8 Dr. I., tu ai exprimat aceste idei in sala de conferinte. Tinerii te-au auzit si observatiile tale au avut o influenta tot atat de mare asupra propriilor tai copii, ca si asupra altora. Ar fi fost mai bine sa fi lasat ideile acelea la ___. Practicarea riguroasa a unei munci severe este vatamatoare pentru corpul in crestere al tinerilor; dar unde sute si-au ruinat trupul numai prin munca excesiva, inactivitatea, mancarea excesiva si lenevia placuta au semanat semintele bolii in organismul a mii de oameni care se grabesc spre ruina rapida si sigura. 9:9 Motivul pentru care tinerii au asa de putina putere in creier si muschi este pentru ca fac asa de putin pe linia muncii folositoare. "Iata care a fost nelegiuirea sorei tale Sodoma: era ingamfata, traia in belsug si intr-o liniste nepasatoare, ea si fiicele ei, si nu sprijinea mana celui nenorocit si celui lipsit. Ele s-au semetit si au facut uraciuni blestemate inaintea Mea; de aceea le-am si nimicit, cand am vazut lucrul acesta." 9:10 Sunt putini tineri in aceasta epoca degenerata care pot sa suporte studiul necesar spre a obtine o educatie obisnuita. De ce este asa? De ce se plang copiii de ameteala, durere de cap, sangerare a nasului, palpitatii si o stare de oboseala si slabiciune generala? Sa se atribuie aceasta mai cu seama studiului lor minutios? Parintii iubitori si indulgenti vor 9:11 simpatiza cu copiii lor pentru ca isi inchipuie ca lectiile lor sunt o sarcina prea mare si ca dedarea lor la un studiu prea aprofundat le ruineaza sanatatea. Este adevarat ca nu se recomanda ca mintea tinerilor sa fie incarcata cu studii prea multe si prea grele. Dar, parintilor, in aceasta problema ati privit mai adanc decat pur si simplu sa adoptati ideea sugerata de copiii vostri? N-ati dat crezare prea repede motivului aparent al indispozitiei lor? Se cuvine ca parintii si tutorii sa caute mai profund cauza acestui rau. 9:12 Nouazeci si noua de cazuri din o suta, cercetate si descoperite voua, v-ar face sa intelegeti si sa vedeti ca nu incordarea pentru studiu a facut ca lucrul sa-i vatame pe copiii vostri, ci ca obiceiurile lor rele sugeau energia vitala a creierului si a corpului intreg. Sistemul nervos s-a zdruncinat, fiind excitat prea des, si astfel a fost pusa temelia pentru ruina prematura si sigura. Viciul secret omoara mii si zeci de mii. 9:13 Copiii trebuie sa aiba o ocupatie. Munca mintala potrivita si exercitiul fizic in aer liber nu vor frange organismul baietilor vostri. Munca folositoare si o cunoastere a tainelor menajului vor fi folositoare pentru fetele voastre, si unele ocupatii de afara sunt categoric necesare pentru organismul si sanatatea lor. Copiii trebuie sa fie invatati sa munceasca. Harnicia este cea mai mare binecuvantare pe care o pot avea barbatii, femeile si copiii. 9:14 Voi ati gresit in educarea copiilor vostri. Ati fost prea ingaduitori. I-ati favorizat si i-ati scutit de munca, pana cand unora dintre ei aceasta le este categoric dezagreabila. Inactivitatea, lipsa unei ocupatii bine organizate, le-a adus multa vatamare. Ispitele sunt in toate partile gata sa ruineze tineretul, pentru aceasta lume si pentru urmatoarea. Calea ascultarii este singura cale sigura. 9:15 Ati fost orbi fata de puterea pe care a avut-o vrajmasul asupra copiilor vostri. Munca din gospodarie, chiar pana la oboseala, nu i-ar fi vatamat nici a cincizecia parte asa de mult cat au facut obiceiurile lenese. 9:16 Ei ar fi scapat de multe primejdii, daca ar fi fost invatati intr-o perioada mai timpurie sa-si ocupe timpul cu o munca folositoare. Ei n-ar fi capatat un astfel de temperament, o astfel de dorinta dupa schimbare si de a merge in societate. Ar fi scapat de multe ispite desarte si de angajare in distractii nefolositoare, lecturi usoare, discutii inutile si fara sens. Si-ar fi petrecut timpul mai mult spre implinirea lor si fara o asa de mare ispita de a cauta societatea sexului opus si s-ar fi scutit de o cale rea. Vanitatea si fandoseala, inutilitatea si desigur pacatul au fost rezultatul acestei indolente. Voi, parintii, si indeosebi tu, ca tata, i-ati magulit si ingaduit spre marea lor vatamare. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
