59:1 Responsabilitate fata de Dumnezeu 59:2 Noi trebuie sa dam socoteala lui Dumnezeu pentru folosirea inteleapta a fiecarei facultati mintale si a fiecarei puteri fizice. Cine isi poate masura responsabilitatea? Trebuie sa dam socoteala de influenta pe care o exercitam. Ceea ce noua ni se pare un defect mic in caracterul nostru va fi reprodus in altii intr-o masura mai mare, si astfel influenta pe care am exercitat-o spre rau poate fi marita si perpetuata. 59:3 Nimeni sa nu-si permita sa vorbeasca cu usurinta despre avertismentele date prin cei a caror datorie este sa pazeasca bunastarea lor morala si spirituala. Cuvintele pot parea de mica importanta, producand numai o impresie de moment asupra mintii ascultatorilor. Dar aceasta nu-i totul. In multe cazuri, cuvintele acestea gasesc raspuns in inimile nesfintite ale tinerilor care niciodata nu s-au supus avertismentului sau restrictiei. Influenta unui cuvant necugetat poate afecta destinul vesnic al unui suflet. Fiecare persoana exercita o influenta asupra vietii altora. Noi trebuie sa fim fie ca o lumina care sa le lumineze cararea, fie ca o furtuna pustiitoare care distruge. Noi ii calauzim pe tovarasii nostri fie spre Isus, la fericire si viata nemuritoare, fie in jos, la durere si ruina vesnica. Nici un om nu va pieri singur in nelegiuirea lui. Oricat de restransa poate fi sfera de influenta a cuiva, ea este exercitata fie spre bine, fie spre rau. Un barbat, pe patul de moarte, a declarat: "Aduna influenta mea si ingroap-o impreuna cu mine". Se putea face acest lucru? Nu, nu; ca si samanta de scaiete, ea a fost dusa peste tot, a prins radacini si va aduce un rod bogat. 59:4 Putini sunt cei care isi formeaza obiceiuri rele cu premeditare. Prin repetarea frecventa a unor actiuni rele, obiceiurile se formeaza inconstient si devin atat de ferm stabilite, incat se cere cel mai staruitor efort spre a efectua o schimbare. Nu trebuie sa ezitam niciodata pentru a termina cu un obicei pacatos. Daca obiceiurile rele nu sunt invinse, ne vor invinge ele pe noi si ne vor distruge fericirea. Sunt multe fiinte sarmane, acum nenorocite, dezamagite 59:5 si degradate, un blestem pentru toti cei din jurul lor, care ar fi putut fi oameni de folos si fericiti daca ar fi folosit ocaziile lor. Multi tineri pierd pretioase ceasuri din viata in visare lenesa cu ochii deschisi. Astfel de persoane n-au multa tarie de caracter sau putere de principiu. Ei urmaresc peste tot distractia care rezulta din fiecare imprejurare care se schimba. Ei privesc totdeauna la altii dupa simpatie, fericire, depinzand in zadar de altii. Toti cei care urmeaza calea aceasta vor esua in sperantele lor, atat pentru viata aceasta, cat si pentru viata viitoare. 59:6 Persoanele tinere care ajung in alta societate pot face ca asocierea lor sa fie o binecuvantare sau un blestem. Ei se pot povatui, binecuvanta si intari unul pe altul, imbunatatindu-si purtarea, temperamentul, cunostinta; sau, permitandu-si sa devina nepasatori si necredinciosi, ei pot exercita o influenta demoralizatoare. 59:7 Isus va fi ajutorul tuturor celor care isi pun increderea in El. Cei care sunt uniti cu Hristos au fericirea la dispozitia lor. Ei urmeaza pe calea pe care ii conduce Mantuitorul lor, de dragul Lui rastignindu-si eul, afectiunile si poftele. Persoanele acestea si-au cladit sperantele pe Hristos, si furtunile pamantului sunt fara putere sa le mature de pe temelia cea sigura. 59:8 Depinde de voi insiva, tineri si tinere, daca veti deveni persoane de incredere, integre si utile. Trebuie sa fiti gata si hotarati sa luati pozitie pentru dreptate in toate imprejurarile. Nu putem lua cu noi in cer obiceiurile noastre rele si daca nu le invingem aici, ele ne vor exclude din caminul celor drepti. Obiceiurile rele vor oferi rezistenta cea mai viguroasa, cand li se arata impotrivire, dar cand lupta este dusa cu energie si perseverenta, ele pot fi biruite. 59:9 Pentru a forma obiceiuri corecte, trebuie sa cautam compania persoanelor cu influenta morala si religioasa sanatoasa. Totdeauna trebuie sa urmarim a fi destoinici sa locuim in curtile ceresti. Noua ne sunt acordate pretioasele ceasuri de proba ca sa putem indeparta orice defect din caracterul nostru; si noi trebuie sa cautam sa facem acest lucru, nu numai ca sa putem obtine viata viitoare, 59:10 ci ca sa putem fi de folos aici. Tinerii si tinerele trebuie sa considere un caracter bun a fi un capital de mai mare valoare decat aurul sau argintul ori decat actiunile. Acesta va fi neafectat de panica si pierdere si va aduce dobanzi bogate cand averile pamantesti vor fi spulberate. Tinerii au nevoie de o conceptie mai inalta, mai nobila despre valoarea caracterului crestin. Pacatul orbeste ochii si manjeste inima. Integritatea, fermitatea si perseverenta sunt calitati pe care toti ar trebui sa caute sa le cultive cu seriozitate, pentru ca ele imbraca pe posesor cu o putere irezistibila, o putere care-l face sa fie puternic spre a face binele, puternic spre a rezista raului, puternic spre a suporta adversitatea. In acestea straluceste adevarata desavarsire de caracter cu cea mai mare stralucire. 59:11 Taria de caracter consta in doua lucruri - puterea vointei si puterea stapanirii de sine. Multi tineri confunda pasiunea puternica si nestapanita cu taria de caracter, dar adevarul este ca cel care este condus de pasiuni este un om slab. Marimea si nobletea unui om se masoara prin puterea cu care isi supune simtamintele, nu prin puterea cu care simtamintele il supun pe el. Omul cel mai puternic este cel care, in timp ce este expus insultei, isi va infrana pasiunea si va ierta pe vrajmasul lui. Astfel de oameni sunt adevaratii eroi. 59:12 Multi au idei atat de sarace despre ce ar putea deveni, incat vor ramane piperniciti si marginiti, pe cand, daca ar fi folosit puterile date de Dumnezeu, ar fi putut dezvolta un caracter si exercita o influenta care ar fi castigat suflete la Hristos. Cunostinta este putere, dar capacitatea intelectuala, fara bunatatea inimii, este o putere pentru cele rele. 59:13 Dumnezeu ne-a dat puteri intelectuale si morale, dar fiecare persoana este, in mare masura, arhitectul propriului sau caracter. In fiecare zi constructia se inalta. Cuvantul lui Dumnezeu ne avertizeaza sa luam seama cum cladim; sa vedem daca cladirea noastra este intemeiata pe Stanca cea vesnica. Vine timpul cand lucrarea noastra va sta descoperita, exact asa cum este. Acum este timpul pentru toti sa cultive puterile date de Dumnezeu ca sa-si poata forma caractere pentru a fi utile aici si dupa aceea, in viata viitoare. 59:14 Fiecare fapta din viata, oricat de neinsemnata, isi are influenta in formarea caracterului. Un caracter bun este mult mai de pret decat averea lumeasca, si lucrarea de a-l forma este cea mai nobila in care se pot angaja oamenii. 59:15 Caracterele formate de imprejurari sunt schimbatoare si discordante - o multime de contradictii. Posesorii lor n-au o tinta inalta sau un scop in viata. Ei n-au o influenta innobilatoare asupra caracterelor altora. Ei sunt fara rost si fara putere. 59:16 Durata scurta a vietii noastre aici trebuie folosita cu intelepciune. Dumnezeu doreste sa aiba o biserica vie, consacrata si lucratoare. Dar poporul nostru, ca organizatie, acum este departe de asa ceva. Dumnezeu are nevoie de suflete puternice, curajoase, de crestini vii si activi, care urmeaza adevaratul Model si care vor exercita o influenta hotaratoare pentru Dumnezeu si dreptate. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
