27:1 PREGATIREA PENTRU VENIREA LUI HRISTOS [Din Review, 17 februarie 1853] 27:2 Dragi frati si surori, credem noi din toata inima ca Hristos vine curand si ca noi suntem in posesia ultimei solii de har care mai trebuie data unei lumi vinovate? Este exemplul pe care-l dam ceea ce ar trebui sa fie? Aratam noi celor din jurul nostru, prin vietile noastre si conversatie sfanta, ca asteptam aparitia glorioasa a Domnului si Mantuitorului nostru, Isus Hristos, care va preschimba aceste trupuri stricate si le va face dupa trupul Sau slavit? Ma tem ca noi nu credem si nu ne dam seama de aceste lucruri asa cum ar trebui s-o facem. Cei care cred in adevarurile importante, pe care le marturisim ar trebui sa faca dovada faptica a credintei lor. Se cauta prea mult distractiile si lucrurile care sa ne atraga atentia in aceasta lume; mintea este lasata sa se ocupe prea mult cu imbracamintea, iar limba este angajata adesea in discutii frivole, lucru care dovedeste marturisirea noastra ca fiind mincinoasa, caci conversatia noastra nu este in cer, unde Il cautam pe Mantuitorul. 27:3 Ingeri ne vegheaza si ne pazesc; noi le provocam adesea suferinta acestor ingeri, ingaduindu-ne o conversatie frivola, spunand glume si, de asemenea, afundandu-ne intr-o stare de nepasare si toropeala. Desi s-ar putea ca acum sa depunem cand si cand cate un efort si chiar sa obtinem biruinta, daca nu o pastram, ci ne afundam in aceeasi stare de nepasare si indiferenta, incapabili de a suporta ispitele si de a ne impotrivi vrajmasului, noi nu trecem testul incercarii credintei noastre, care este mai pretioasa decat aurul. Nu suferim pentru Hristos si nu ne bucuram in necazurile noastre. 27:4 Exista o mare lipsa de rezistenta crestina si slujire oferita lui Dumnezeu din principiu. Nu ar trebui sa cautam sa-i 27:5 facem pe plac eului si sa-l multumim, ci sa-L onoram si sa-I dam slava lui Dumnezeu, si in tot ce facem si spunem sa avem un ochi atintit numai la slava Sa. Daca ne lasam inimile impresionate de urmatoarele cuvinte importante si daca le purtam mereu in minte, nu vom cadea atat de usor in ispita, iar cuvintele noastre vor fi putine si bine alese: "Dar El era strapuns pentru pacatele noastre, zdrobit pentru faradelegile noastre. Pedeapsa, care ne da pacea, a cazut peste El, si prin ranile Lui suntem tamaduiti." "In ziua judecatii oamenii vor da socoteala de orice cuvant nefolositor pe care-l vor fi rostit." "Tu esti Dumnezeu care ma vede." 27:6 Nu am putea sa ne gandim la aceste cuvinte importante si sa ne aducem aminte de suferintele lui Isus, pentru ca noi, bieti pacatosi, sa putem primi iertarea si sa fim rascumparati pentru Dumnezeu prin sangele Sau, nespus de scump, fara a simti o temere sfanta si o dorinta sincera de a suferi pentru Cel care a suferit si a indurat atatea pentru noi. Daca ne ocupam de aceste lucruri, eul nostru indragit, cu toata mandria lui, va fi smerit si locul sau va fi ocupat de o simplitate asemanatoare cu aceea a unui copil, care va suporta acuzatiile din partea altora si nu se va lasa provocat cu usurinta. Atunci, un duh incapatanat nu va veni pentru a conduce sufletul. 27:7 Adevaratele bucurii si mangaieri ale crestinului trebuie sa fie si chiar sunt in cer. Sufletele pline de dor ale acelora care au gustat din puterile lumii ce va veni si s-au desfatat cu bucurii ceresti nu vor fi satisfacute de lucruri care apartin acestui pamant. Asemenea oameni vor gasi destule de facut in momentele lor de ragaz. Sufletele lor vor fi atrase de Dumnezeu. Unde este comoara, acolo va fi si inima, intr-o dulce comuniune cu Dumnezeul pe care-L iubesc si caruia I se inchina. Desfatarea lor va fi acea de a-si contempla comoara - Cetatea cea Sfanta, pamantul cel nou, caminul lor vesnic. Si, in timp ce mediteaza asupra acestor lucruri care sunt pline de maretie, curate si sfinte, cerul va fi adus mai aproape si ei vor simti puterea Duhului 27:8 Sfant, iar aceasta va avea tendinta de a-i dezobisnui tot mai mult de lume si de a face ca mangaierea si cea mai mare bucurie sa fie in lucrurile cerului, caminul lor scump. Puterea de atractie catre Dumnezeu si cer va fi atunci atat de mare, incat nimic sa nu le poata distrage atentia de la marele obiectiv de a asigura mantuirea sufletului, de a-L onora pe Dumnezeu si de a-I da slava. 27:9 Cand imi dau seama cat de mult s-a facut pentru noi pentru a ne pastra drepti, simt nevoia sa exclam: O, ce iubire, ce iubire neasemuita are Fiul lui Dumnezeu pentru noi, bietii pacatosi! Sa fim adormiti si nepasatori in timp ce se face tot ce este cu putinta pentru salvarea noastra? Tot cerul este interesat de noi. Ar trebui sa fim vii si treji pentru a-L onora, slavi si adora pe Cel peste masura de inaltat. Inimile noastre ar trebui sa dea pe dinafara de atata iubire si recunostinta pentru Cel care a fost atat de plin de iubire si compasiune pentru noi. Ar trebui sa-L onoram cu viata noastra si sa aratam printr-o vorbire curata si sfanta ca suntem nascuti de sus, ca aceasta lume nu este caminul nostru, ci ca suntem straini si peregrini aici, calatorind catre o tara mai buna. 27:10 Multi care marturisesc Numele lui Hristos si pretind ca asteapta apropiata Sa intoarcere nu stiu ce inseamna sa suferi pentru Hristos. Inimile lor nu sunt inmuiate prin har si ei nu sunt morti fata de eu, dupa cum se face dovada in diferite moduri. In acelasi timp, ei vorbesc despre faptul ca trec prin incercari. Dar motivul principal al incercarilor lor este o inima nesupusa, care face eul atat de sensibil, incat se irita deseori. Daca asemenea persoane ar putea sa-si dea seama ce inseamna sa fii un umil urmas al lui Hristos, un crestin adevarat, ar incepe sa lucreze cu multa hotarare - si ar incepe asa cum se cuvine. Mai intai, ei ar muri fata de eu, apoi ar fi gata oricand pentru rugaciune si ar controla fiecare pasiune a inimii. Fratilor, renuntati la independenta voastra, la increderea pe care o aveti in voi insiva si urmati Modelul cel bland. Tineti-L pe Isus in gandurile voastre - El este exemplul vostru si voi trebuie 27:11 sa calcati pe urma pasilor Lui. Priviti catre Isus, Capetenia si Desavarsirea credintei noastre, care, pentru bucuria ce I-a fost pusa inainte, a indurat crucea si a dispretuit rusinea. El a suferit din partea pacatosilor o impotrivire atat de mare fata de Sine. Pentru pacatele noastre a fost El odinioara Mielul cel bland, lovit, ranit, napastuit si injunghiat. 27:12 Atunci haideti sa suferim si noi pentru Isus, sa rastignim eul zilnic si sa fim partasi la suferintele lui Hristos aici, pentru a putea fi facuti partasi cu El la slava Sa si sa fim incununati cu glorie, cinste si viata vesnica. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
