54:1 Cap. 52 - Esec in recunoasterea trimisului lui Dumnezeu 54:2 Va cer, voua, care va aflati in chiar inima lucrarii, sa va revedeti experienta de ani de zile si sa vedeti daca, intr-adevar, poate sa vi se spuna: "Bine, rob bun". Cer profesorilor din scolile noastre sa se gandeasca atent si in rugaciune daca au vegheat la propriul suflet ca la al unuia care colaboreaza cu Dumnezeu pentru curatirea de orice pacat si pentru deplina sfintire in El. 54:3 V-a fost frica de Duhul Sfant? De cateva ori, El a venit cu influenta Sa atotcuprinzatoare in scoala de la Battle Creek si in scolile noastre din ale localitati. L-ati recunoscut? I-ati acordat onoarea cuvenita unui mesager ceresc? Cand vi s-a parut ca Duhul se ocupa de tineri, ati spus: "Sa lasam, deocamdata, studiul, pentru ca, dupa cum se vede, avem printre noi un Oaspete ceresc Sa-i dam slava si onoare!"? V-ati plecat, impreuna cu elevii vostri, capetele, cu inimi pocaite, in rugaciune, pentru a putea primi binecuvantarea pe care Domnul v-o oferea? 54:4 Insusi Marele Invatator era printre voi. Cum L-ati onorat? A fost El un strain pentru unii dintre educatori? Ati crezut ca este nevoie de cineva, desemnat anume sa-L intampine sau sa-L respinga pe acest sol din cer? Desi nevazut, El era prezent printre voi. Dar nu s-a exprimat ideea ca, in scoala, timpul 54:5 se cuvine dedicat invatarii si ca toate au timpul lor, ca si cum orele dedicate invataturii obisnuite ar fi prea pretioase pentru a fi acordate lucrarii Mesagerului ceresc? 54:6 Daca ati respins astfel pe Duhul Sfant al lui Dumnezeu, va rog fierbinte sa va smeriti cat se poate de urgent. Daca ati inchis si ferecat usa inimii voastre pentru Duhul lui Dumnezeu, va sfatuiesc sa o descuiati si sa va rugati in mod insistent: "Ramai la mine!" Cand Duhul Sfant Isi face simtita prezenta in clasa in care predati, spuneti-le elevilor vostri: "Domnul da semne ca are azi o lectie de importanta cereasca pentru noi, mult mai valoroasa decat lectiile obisnuite. Sa-L ascultam! Sa ne plecam inaintea lui Dumnezeu si sa-L cautam cu toata inima!" 54:7 Dati-mi voie sa va spun ceea ce stiu despre acest Oaspete ceresc. Duhul Sfant plana deasupra elevilor in timpul orelor de clasa. Unele inimi, insa, au fost atat de reci si intunecate, incat nu au dorit prezenta Lui, si atunci lumina lui Dumnezeu a fost retrasa. Vizitatorul ceresc ar fi putut oferi intelepciune si ar fi putut aduce cunoasterea in orice ramura a invataturii, care ar putea fi folosita spre slava lui Dumnezeu. El a venit sa convinga de pacat si sa usureze inimile impovarate de lunga instrainare de Dumnezeu; a venit sa descopere marea iubire cu care Dumnezeu ii iubeste pe acesti tineri. 54:8 Un principiu de origine divina trebuie sa ne marcheze conduita si sa ne lege de Dumnezeu. Acest principiu nu este in nici un caz o piedica in calea studierii adevaratei stiinte. "Inceputul intelepciunii este frica de Domnul." (Prov. 9,10); si omul care consimte sa fie modelat dupa asemanarea divina este cea mai nobila realizare a lui Dumnezeu. Toti cei care 54:9 traiesc in comuniune cu Creatorul vor intelege intentia Sa in crearea lor. Ei vor avea constiinta propriei responsabilitati fata de Dumnezeu in ceea ce priveste folosirea posibilitatilor lor in cel mai bun scop. Ei nu vor cauta nici gloria proprie, nici compromiterea... 54:10 Idealul lui Dumnezeu pentru om 54:11 Niciodata religia lui Hristos nu-l degradeaza pe cel care o primeste. Ea nu-l face niciodata aspru sau necuviincios, uracios sau mandru, manios sau violent. Dimpotriva, ea rafineaza gusturile, sfinteste ratiunea, purifica si innobileaza gandurile, ducandu-le in robia lui Isus Hristos. 54:12 Idealul lui Dumnezeu pentru copiii Sai este mai inalt decat ar putea crede omul. Viul Dumnezeu a lasat in Legea-I sfanta o transpunere a caracterului Sau. Cel mai mare Invatator pe care lumea L-a cunoscut vreodata este Isus Hristos. Si care este standardul pe care El l-a lasat pentru toti cei care cred in El: "Voi fiti dar desavarsiti, dupa cum si Tatal vostru cel ceresc este desavarsit." (Mat. 5,48). Asa cum Dumnezeu este desavarsit in sfera Sa, si omul trebuie sa fie desavarsit in sfera lui. 54:13 Idealul caracterului crestin este asemanarea cu Hristos. In fata noastra se afla deschisa o cale de continua inaintare. Avem un obiectiv de atins, un standard de dobandit, incluzand tot ce este bun, curat si nobil. Trebuie sa existe o straduinta continua si un progres constant in aspiratia spre perfectiunea caracterului. 54:14 Fara ajutor divin, omul nu poate sa realizeze ceva bun. Dumnezeu il cheama pe orice om la pocainta, dar omul 54:15 nu se poate pocai, daca Duhul Sfant nu lucreaza la inima lui. Domnul, insa, vrea ca nici un om sa nu astepte pana ce va crede ca s-a pocait si dupa aceea sa faca primii pasi spre El. Mantuitorul ii conduce necontenit pe oameni la pocainta. Ei au nevoie doar sa se lase condusi si atunci inimile lor vor fi topite in pocainta. 54:16 Omului ii este incredintata o parte in marea batalie pentru viata vesnica - el trebuie sa raspunda la actiunea Duhului Sfant. Este nevoie de lupta pentru a da la o parte puterile intunericului, si Duhul Sfant lucreaza in om pentru aceasta realizare. Dar omul nu este o fiinta pasiva, care va fi mantuita prin inactivitate. El este chemat sa-si incordeze toti muschii si sa-si activeze orice facultate in batalia pentru nemurire. Dumnezeu este Cel care ii da eficienta. Nici o faptura omeneasca nu poate fi mantuita prin inactivitate. Domnul ne spune: "Nevoiti-va sa intrati pe usa cea stramta. Caci, va spun ca multi vor cauta sa intre si nu vor putea." (Luca 13,24). "Intrati pe poarta cea stramta. Caci larga este poarta, lata este calea care duce la pierzare, si multi sunt cei ce intra pe ea. Dar stramta este poarta, ingusta este calea care duce la viata, si putini sunt cei ce o afla" (Mat. 7,13.14). 54:17 Influente nesfinte la lucru 54:18 Ii rog insistent pe elevii din scolile noastre sa fie seriosi. Frivolitatea tinerilor nu este pe placul lui Dumnezeu. Jocurile si distractiile lor deschid usa unui val de ispite. Ei se bucura de inzestrare cereasca de la Dumnezeu, cu facultati intelectuale, si nu trebuie sa ingaduie gandurilor sa fie ieftine si mici. Un caracter 54:19 format in conformitate cu preceptele Cuvantului lui Dumnezeu va da pe fata principii ferme, aspiratii nobile, curate. Duhul Sfant coopereaza cu puterile mintii omenesti, si atunci dorintele inalte si sfinte sunt un rezultat sigur... 54:20 Sufletul meu este adanc tulburat de lucrurile care mi-au fost aratate. Simt o indignare in duh, pentru ca, in scolile noastre, a fost data atat de putina slava viului Dumnezeu si atat de multa slava asa-zisului talent superior, dar cu care Duhul Sfant nu are nici o legatura. Duhul lui Dumnezeu nu este recunoscut si respectat. Oamenii L-au judecat si actiunile Lui au fost acuzate drept fanatism, exces de zel, exaltare nepotrivita. 54:21 Dumnezeu vede ceea ce ochii orbiti ai educatorilor nu observa - imoralitatea de orice fel si in orice grad se zbate pentru suprematie, impotrivindu-se manifestarilor puterii Duhului Sfant. Usuratatea in conversatie si idei de duzina sunt urzite in tesatura caracterului si pangaresc sufletul. 54:22 Reuniunile pentru placeri marunte, pentru mancare si bautura, pentru muzica si jocuri, sunt inspirate de un duh de jos. Ele sunt o ofranda adusa lui Satana. Exhibitiile pe bicicleta sunt o ofensa la adresa lui Dumnezeu. Mania Lui se aprinde impotriva celor ce fac aceste lucruri, pentru ca, prin ele, mintea se ameteste ca de bautura, fiind deschisa usa spre asociatii vulgare. Lasate sa umble pe unde nu trebuie, in scurta vreme, gandurile pervertesc toate puterile fiintei. Ca si in Israelul din vechime, iubitorii de placeri 54:23 mananca, beau si se distreaza. In toate acestea, tinerii urmeaza exemplul autorilor profani ai cartilor puse in mana lor pentru studiu. Toate aceste lucruri au efectul lor asupra caracterului. 54:24 Cei care dau curs acestor frivolitati aduc asupra cauzei lui Dumnezeu o pata care nu se sterge usor. Ei isi ranesc propriile suflete si vor purta cicatricea tot timpul vietii. Este posibil ca acela care face rau sa-si dea seama si sa se pocaiasca, iar Dumnezeu il va ierta, dar puterea lui de discernamant, care ar fi trebuit pastrata ascutita si sensibila, ramane in mare parte afectata. 54:25 Ii sfatuiesc pe toti cei la care pot ajunge aceste cuvinte: Revizuiti-va mersul si "Luati seama la voi insiva, ca nu cumva sa vi se ingreuieze inimile cu imbuibare de mancare si bautura, si cu ingrijorarile vietii acesteia, si astfel ziua aceea sa vina fara veste asupra voastra. Caci ziua aceea va veni ca un lat peste toti cei ce locuiesc pe toata suprafata pamantului." (Luca 21,34.35). (Special Testimonies on Education, pg. 202-212, scrise profesorilor de la colegiul Battle Creek.) 54:26 Mentinerea in stare de alerta pentru a rezista raului este o continua lupta, dar merita sa obtii biruinta dupa biruinta asupra eului si asupra puterilor intunericului. Si, daca tinerii sunt incercati asa cum a fost Daniel, ce onoare pot ei sa-I aduca lui Dumnezeu prin ferma ramanere la principii! |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
