9:1 Cap. 7 - Dragoste adevarata sau inflacarare oarba 9:2 Iubirea este un dar pretios de la Isus. Dragostea este un dar pretios pe care il primim de la Isus. Dragostea curata si sfanta nu este un sentiment, ci un principiu. Cei care actioneaza in virtutea acesteia nu sunt nici nechibzuiti, nici orbi. 1 9:3 Exista totusi atat de putina dragoste adevarata, autentica, devotata, curata. Acest pretios articol este foarte rar. 2 9:4 Pasiunea este socotita drept iubire. Adevarata iubire este un principiu inalt si sfant, cu totul diferita in caracter de acea dragoste care este trezita prin impuls si care se stinge deodata cand este aspru pusa la incercare. 3 9:5 Iubirea este o planta de origine divina, care trebuie ingrijita si cultivata. Familiile in care se manifesta afectiune, ce rostesc cuvinte demne de incredere, iubitoare, vor fi fericite si vor exercita o influenta inaltatoare asupra tuturor acelora cu care vin in contact. 4 9:6 Adevarata iubire in contrast cu pasiunea. Iubirea... nu este lipsita de ratiune; ea nu este oarba. Este curata si sfanta. Insa pasiunea firii pamantesti este cu totul diferita. In timp ce dragostea adevarata Il are in vedere pe Dumnezeu, in toate planurile Sale, si este in armonie desavarsita cu Duhul lui Dumnezeu, pasiunea este incapatanata la culme, nesabuita, lipsita de ratiune, fara frau si face din obiectul alegerii sale un idol. Harul lui Dumnezeu este vizibil in intreaga comportare a aceluia care poseda adevarata iubire. Modestia, simplitatea, sinceritatea, moralitatea si spiritualitatea vor caracteriza fiecare pas facut spre legamantul casatoriei. Cei care sunt astfel nu vor fi coplesiti de societatea celuilalt, pierzand interesul pentru locasul de rugaciune si 9:7 pentru serviciile religioase. Zelul lor pentru adevar nu va inceta prin neglijarea ocaziilor si privilegiilor pe care Dumnezeu le da in mod binevoitor. 5 9:8 Acea dragoste care nu are alta temelie decat satisfacerea simturilor va fi incapatanata, oarba si de nestapanit. Cinstea, adevarul si orice trasatura nobila a mintii, toate vor fi aduse sub stapanirea pasiunilor. Persoana care este legata in lanturile acestei pasiuni oarbe este prea adesea surda la vocea ratiunii si a constiintei; nici un argument sau rugaminte staruitoare nu o poate determina sa vada nebunia acestei curse. 6 9:9 Adevarata iubire nu este patima nestapanita, infocata si navalnica. Dimpotriva, ea este calma si profunda prin natura ei. Ea are in vedere mai mult decat aparentele (cele exterioare) si este atrasa doar de calitati. Este inteleapta si cu discernamant, iar devotamentul ei este real si de durata. 7 9:10 Dragostea, desprinsa de taramul pasiunii si impulsului, devine spiritualizata si se da pe fata prin cuvinte si fapte. Un crestin trebuie sa aiba o sensibilitate si o iubire sfintite, in care nu este loc pentru nerabdare si irascibilitate; trasaturile aspre, necizelate, trebuie indreptate prin harul lui Hristos. 8 9:11 Fereste-te de sentimentalism ca de lepra. De inchipuiri si de sentimentalismul bolnavicios trebuie sa te feresti ca si cand ar fi lepra. Multi tineri si tinere din aceste vremuri nu cunosc virtutea; de aceea e mare nevoie de precautie... Aceia care au un caracter virtuos, desi s-ar putea sa nu aiba anumite calitati care sunt de dorit, pot fi de o reala valoare morala. 9 9:12 Exista persoane care au facut pentru o vreme o profesie din religie, dar care sunt fara Dumnezeu si fara o constiinta sensibila in toate intentiile si scopurile lor. Ei nu au nici un rost, sunt neseriosi; conversatia lor este usuratica. 9:13 Mintea le este ocupata doar de gandul curteniei si al casatoriei, neexistand loc pentru ganduri inalte si nobile. 10 9:14 Tinerii sunt fermecati, fascinati de mania curteniei si casatoriei. Sentimentalismul bolnavicios predomina. Este nevoie de multa vigilenta si tact pentru a feri tineretul de aceste influente rele. 11 9:15 Tinerele nu sunt invatate tagaduirea de sine si stapanirea de sine. Ele sunt rasfatate, iar mandria le este incurajata. Li se ingaduie sa aiba propria lor cale, pana devin foarte incapatanate si cu vointa puternica in asa fel, incat ajungi sa nu stii ce sa faci ca sa le salvezi de la ruina. Satana le dirijeaza astfel, incat ajung un motiv de batjocura pentru cei necredinciosi datorita indaratniciei si lipsei lor de rezerva si modestie feminina. Tinerilor, de asemenea li se permite sa-si urmeze propria cale. De-abia ajung la varsta adolescentei si ii vezi deja alaturi de fetite de varsta lor, pe care le conduc acasa, unde continua cu intimitati. Iar parintii sunt atat de orbiti in ceea ce priveste indulgenta si afectiunea gresita fata de copiii lor, incat nu indraznesc sa urmeze un curs hotarat pentru a face o schimbare si a-si tine in frau prea grabitii lor copii in acest veac grabit. 12 9:16 Sfaturi pentru o tanara romantica, bolnava de dragoste. Ai cazut in trista greseala care este atat de raspandita in acest secol degenerat, mai ales in randul femeilor. Esti prea preocupata de celalalt sex. Iti place societatea lor. Atentia pe care le-o acorzi ii flateaza, iar tu incurajezi sau ingadui o familiaritate care nu este intotdeauna in acord cu indemnul apostolului: "Feriti-va de orice se pare rau ..." 9:17 Indeparteaza din minte planurile romantice. Tu amesteci religia cu un sentimentalism romantic, bolnavicios, care nu inalta, ci, dimpotriva, injoseste. Nu doar tu insati 9:18 esti afectata; si altii sunt prejudiciati de exemplul si influenta ta... Ti-ai pierdut utilitatea, fiind intr-o reverie continua si cladind castele de nisip. Ai trait intr-o lume imaginara; ai fost o martira imaginara si o crestina imaginara. 9:19 Experienta religioasa a tinerilor din acest veac al lumii este mult amestecata cu acest sentimentalism josnic. Sora mea, Dumnezeu cere sa fii transformata. Innobileaza-ti sentimentul, te implor. Consacra-ti puterile mintale si fizice in slujba Rascumparatorului tau, care a platit pentru tine. Sfinteste-ti gandurile si sentimentele, astfel ca toate faptele tale sa fie facute in Domnul. 13 9:20 Avertisment pentru un tanar student. Te afli acum in anii studentiei; lasa-ti mintea sa staruie asupra unor subiecte spirituale. Inlatura orice sentimentalism din viata ta. Instruieste-te cu vigilenta si fii stapan pe tine insuti. Acum esti in perioada de formare a caracterului; nu lasa ca sa-ti scada interesul - cel mai nobil cu putinta - de a te pregati pentru lucrarea pe care Dumnezeu a desemnat-o pentru tine. 14 9:21 Urmarile unei curtenii si casatorii neintelepte. Putem vedea cate dificultati intampinam la fiecare pas. Nedreptatea - atat la tineri, cat si la batrani; curteniile si casatoriile neintelepte, nesfintite, nu pot sa nu aiba ca urmare certuri, neintelegeri, instrainare unul fata de celalalt, indulgenta fata de pasiuni fara frau, necredinciosie a sotilor si sotiilor, egoism, dorinte nesabuite si indiferenta fata de lucrurile de interes vesnic... 9:22 Sfintenia prezicerilor (profetiilor) lui Dumnezeu nu este apreciata de majoritatea acelora care pretind ca sunt crestini. Ei dovedesc, prin comportamentul lor libertin, fara frau, ca prefera o sfera mai larga. Acestora nu le place sa le fie limitate indulgentele egoiste. 15 9:23 Paziti sentimentele. Incingeti-va coapsele mintii, spune apostolul, apoi stapaniti-va gandurile, nepermitandu-le sa fie fara frau. Gandurile pot fi pazite si stapanite prin eforturile tale hotarate. Ganditi drept si veti aduce la indeplinire actiuni drepte. Apoi va trebui sa va paziti sentimentele, nelasandu-le sa zaboveasca asupra unor lucruri nepotrivite. Isus te-a rascumparat cu propria Sa viata; tu Ii apartii; de aceea, El trebuie consultat in toate lucrurile, in legatura cu felul in care vor fi folosite puterile mintii si ale sentimentelor tale. 16 9:24 1. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
