13:1 Domnul a vorbit lui Moise, si a zis: Domnul a vorbit. Este clar din Deutronom 1,22 ca aici Dumnezeu raspunde unei cereri facute la inceput de popor. 13:2 Trimite niste oameni sa iscodeasca tara Canaanului, pe care o dau copiilor lui Israel. Sa trimiti cate un om pentru fiecare din semintiile parintilor lor, toti sa fie dintre fruntasii lor. Canaan. Tara fagaduita lui Avraam (Geneza 17,8), lui Iacov (Geneza 48,3.4; Psalmi 105,10.11) si lui Moise (Exod 6,4). Dumnezeu ii avertizeaza pe izraeliti sa asculte de legile Sale si sa nu pangareasca tara ca sa nu fie alungati din ea intocmai ca locuitorii ei de mai inainte (Levitic 18,3.24-28; compara cu Ezechiel 16,29). 13:3 Moise i-a trimis din pustia Paran, dupa porunca Domnului; toti oamenii acestia erau capetenii ale copiilor lui Israel. Dupa porunca. Aceasta a fost data lui Moise ,,pe vremea cand incep sa se coaca strugurii” (versetul 20), ceea ce ar plasa aceasta intamplare aproximativ in luna a cincia a celui de-al doilea an dupa ce Israel a iesit din Egipt. Din pustia Paran. Adica, de la Cades-Barnea (Numeri 32,8; Deutronom 1,19-22; 9,23; Iosua 14,7). Capetenii. Conducatorii peste sute si mii (Exod 18,25) si capeteniile semintiilor (Numeri 1,16) au fost numite astfel. Acestia, insa, este evident ca au fost ,,capetenii” de trib de o categorie inferioara. 13:4 Iata numele lor: pentru semintia lui Ruben: Samua, fiul lui Zacur; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:5 pentru semintia lui Simeon: Safat, fiul lui Hori; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:6 pentru semintia lui Iuda: Caleb, fiul lui Iefune; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:7 pentru semintia lui Isahar: Igual, fiul lui Iosif; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:8 pentru semintia lui Efraim: Hosea, fiul lui Nun; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:9 pentru semintia lui Beniamin: Palti, fiul lui Rafu; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:10 pentru semintia lui Zabulon: Gadiel, fiul lui Sodi; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:11 pentru semintia lui Iosif, semintia lui Manase: Gadi, fiul lui Susi; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:12 pentru semintia lui Dan: Amiel, fiul lui Ghemali; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:13 pentru semintia lui Aser: Setur, fiul lui Micael; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:14 pentru semintia lui Neftali: Nahbi, fiul lui Vofsi; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:15 pentru semintia lui Gad: Gheuel, fiul lui Machi. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:16 Acestea sunt numele barbatilor, pe care i-a trimis Moise sa iscodeasca tara. Lui Hosea, fiul lui Nun, Moise i-a pus numele Iosua. Hosea. Numele acesta poate sa fi fost dat lui Hosea din semintia lui Efraim (versetul 8) la scurt timp dupa iesirea copiilor lui Israel din Egipt, altfel, el este folosit cu anticipatie in Exod 17,9. Numele Hosea inseamna ,,mantuire” si Iosua, o forma prescurtata de la Iehosua, ,,Iehova este mantuire”. Numele biblice au de obicei un inteles (vezi Apocalipsa 2,13.17; 3,12; 14,1; 19,12.13.16; 21,12.14; 22,4). 13:17 Moise i-a trimis sa iscodeasca tara Canaanului. El le-a zis: Mergeti de aici spre miazazi, si apoi sa va suiti pe munte. Spre miazazi. Literal, ,,in Negeb”, tara la sud de Palestina (vezi Geneza 12,9). In realitate, iscoadele au plecat de la Cades spre nord, spre a ajunge la tara de ,,sud”. Cuvantul acesta, dintr-o radacina care inseamna ,,uscat” sau ,,prajit” este aplicat, de obicei, regiunii pustii de la granita sudica a Palestinei. Aceasta era o regiune de tranzitie dintre pustiul sudic si pamantul mai arabil din nord si, de aceea, bun pentru pascutul vitelor. Regiunea aceasta este si astazi cunoscuta sub acelasi nume. Avand in vedere faptul ca Negeb se afla la sud de Palestina, cuvantul a ajuns sa fie termenul ebraic obisnuit pentru ,,sud”, cum este tradus de obicei in (RSV). Pe munte. Regiunea deluroasa din centrul Palestinei (vezi versetul 29). 13:18 Vedeti tara, vedeti cum este ea, cum este poporul care o locuieste, daca este tare sau slab, daca este mic sau mare la numar; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:19 vedeti cum este tara in care locuieste: daca este buna sau rea; cum sunt cetatile in care locuieste: daca sunt deschise sau intarite; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:20 cum este pamantul: daca este gras sau sterp, daca sunt sau nu copaci pe el. Fiti cu inima, si luati cu voi roade din tara. Era pe vremea cand incep sa se coaca strugurii. Gras. Adica, producator (vezi Neemia 9,25.35). 13:21 Ei s-au suit, si au iscodit tara, de la pustia Tin pana la Rehob, pe drumul care duce la Hamat. Pustia Tin. Aceasta nu trebuie sa fie confundata cu pustia Sin aproape de muntele Sinai (Exod 16,1). Cades era asezat in pustia Tin (Numeri 20,1; 27,14; 33,36; 34,3.4; Deutronom 32,51; Iosua 15,1), care era fie inclusa, fie unita cu pustia Paran. Pana la Rehob. Acesta putea sa fi fost fie Rehob, aproape de Marea Galileii, fie un altul, mai la nord, aproape de raul Orontes. 13:22 S-au suit pe la miazazi, si au mers pana la Hebron, unde se aflau Ahiman, Sesai si Talmai, copiii lui Anac. Hebronul fusese zidit cu sapte ani inainte de cetatea Toan din Egipt. Pe la miazazi – In Negeb (vezi versetul 17). Hebron – O cetate la douazeci de mile sud de Ierusalim (Judecatori 1,10). Copiii lui Anac – Unii considera ca numele inseamna ,,copiii gatului” si astfel se concluziona ca ei erau oameni cu gatul lung. Cuvantul radacina este tradus ,,lant”, adica un lant pentru gat (Judecatori 8,26; Proverbe 1,9; Cantarea cantarilor 4,9). Concluzia este ca oamenii acestia din jurul Hebronului erau oameni inalti si subtiri (vezi Deutronom 1,28; 9,2). 13:23 Au ajuns pana la valea Escol; acolo au taiat o ramura de vita cu un strugur, si l-au dus cate doi cu ajutorul unei prajini, au luat si rodii si smochine. Valea Escol – Escol inseamna ,,ciorchine”. Acelasi cuvant apare in Geneza 40,10; Deutronom 32,32; Isaia 65,8; Mica 7,1. 13:24 Locul acela l-au numit valea Escol (Strugure), din pricina strugurelui pe care l-au taiat de acolo copiii lui Israel. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:25 S-au intors de la iscodirea tarii dupa patruzeci de zile implinite, Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:26 Au plecat si au ajuns la Moise si la Aaron, si la toata adunarea copiilor lui Israel, la Cades, in pustia Paran. Le-au adus stiri, lor si intregii adunari, si le-au aratat roadele tarii. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:27 Iata ce au istorisit lui Moise: Ne-am dus in tara in care ne-ai trimis. Cu adevarat, este o tara in care curge lapte si miere, si iata-i roadele. Lapte si miere – Un termen general de belsug (vezi Exod 3,8; compara cu 13,5; 33,3). Palestina a fost atunci mult mai putin uscata si stearpa de cum este astazi (vezi Geneza 12,6). 13:28 Dar poporul care locuieste in tara aceasta este puternic, cetatile sunt intarite si foarte mari. Ba inca am vazut acolo si pe fiii lui Anac. Dar – Cuvantul tradus aici ,,dar” este unul care sugereaza ceva imposibil pentru om. Folosirea lui aici inseamna lipsa lor de credinta si scoate la iveala pacatul lor. Daca ar fi prezentat numai situatia de fapt, ei ar fi facut tot ceea ce li se cerea. Folosind insa acest cuvant, ei au interpus parerea personala, ca sarcina care le statea in fata era mai mare decat puterea lui Israel de a o duce la indeplinire. 13:29 Amalecitii locuiesc tinutul de la miaza-zi; Iebusitii si Amoritii locuiesc muntele; si Canaanitii si Hetitii locuiesc langa mare si de-a lungul Iordanului. Amalecitii – Descendenti din Esau (vezi Geneza 36,12), ei erau un trib nomad al regiunii pustii la sud de Palestina. Cat priveste primul lor atac asupra lui Israel, vezi Exod 17,8-18. Hetitii – Supusi ai unui imperiu puternic (vezi Geneza 10,15). Iebusitii – Un popor relativ neinsemnat din apropierea Ierusalimului, mai tarziu invins de David (2 Samuel 5,6; vezi Geneza 10,16). Amoritii – Ramasite ale unui popor pe vremuri puternic. Ei s-au luptat in tara deluroasa despre care se vorbeste in Deutronom 1,19.44 si in alte locuri (Geneza 10,16). Langa mare – Adica, langa Marea Mediterana. De-a lungul Iordanului – De-a lungul, sau literal ,,de o parte a” Iordanului (vezi capitolul 2,17). 13:30 Caleb a potolit poporul, care cartea impotriva lui Moise. El a zis: Haidem sa ne suim, si sa punem mana pe tara, caci vom fi biruitori! Caleb – Poate ca Iosua era mai mult un razboinic decat un orator public (vezi capitolul 14,6). 13:31 Dar barbatii care fusesera impreuna cu el au zis: Nu putem sa ne suim impotriva poporului acestuia, caci este mai tare decat noi. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:32 Si au innegrit inaintea copiilor lui Israel tara pe care o iscodisera. Ei au zis: Tara pe care am strabatut-o, ca s-o iscodim, este o tara care mananca pe locuitorii ei; toti aceia pe care i-am vazut acolo sunt oameni de statura inalta. Au innegrit – Solia adusa a fost foarte descurajatoare, desi nu in mod necesar falsa cat priveste faptele. Cuvantul tradus ,,au innegrit” inseamna ,,a inventa”, ,,a raspandi in jur”. Fara indoiala ca aparentele au indreptatit raportul cel rau. Din punct de vedere omenesc, cucerirea Canaanului poate sa fi parut imposibila. Dar Dumnezeu le fagaduise tara si le-a poruncit sa intre in ea si sa o supuna. Greseala lor de a face acum lucrul acesta a reflectat indoiala cu privire la puterea lui Dumnezeu. Elocventa pledoarie a lui Pavel pentru credinta se refera la trista experienta de la Cades-Barnea ca invatatura plina de insemnatate pentru crestini (Evrei 3,8 la 4,16). Mananca pe locuitorii ei – Intelesul expresiei tradusa astfel nu este clar. Aceasta cu greu se poate referi la saracia tarii ,deoarece tocmai fusese descrisa ca fiind o tara in care curge lapte si miere (versetul 27). Ar fi fost o contrazicere a raportului lor ca tara Canaanului era o tara fertila (versetul 27). Aluzie la fizicul superior al uriasilor s-ar parea de asemenea ca dezminte raportul lor. Oameni de statura inalta – Amos 2,9 ii descrie pe amoriti asa de inalti ca cedrii si asa de puternici ca stejarii. 13:33 Apoi am mai vazut in ea pe uriasi, pe copiii lui Anac, care se trag din neamul uriasilor: inaintea noastra si fata de ei parca eram niste lacuste. Uriasi – Cuvantul tradus ,,uriasi” ar putea fi de la ,,a cadea”. Acelasi cuvant este folosit in Geneza 6,4. Acesta se poate referi la oameni care cad de sabie si astfel sa se refere la tara care mananca pe locuitori (versetul 32), sau el mai poate insemna oameni a caror statura enorma poate face inimile altora sa cada in groaza (vezi Geneza 6,4). Verbul inrudit este folosit spre a exprima moartea violenta (1 Samuel 4,10; 14,13). Ca niste lacuste – In Isaia 40,22 aceeasi expresie este folosita despre oameni in fata lui Dumnezeu. Astfel de cuvinte figurate sunt obisnuite in limbile semitice (1 Samuel 24,14; 26,20; 1 Regi 20,27).Comentariile lui Ellen G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
