3:1 Vai de cetatea varsatoare de sange, plina de minciuna, plina de silnicie, si care nu inceteaza sa se dedea la rapire! Cetatea varsatoare de sange. Un loc unde sangele era varsat din belsug si aparent fara vreo mustrare de constiinta (vezi Ezechiel 24,6.9; Habacuc 2,12). Monumentele asiriene descriu din belsug cum prizonierii erau jupuiti, decapitati si trasi in teapa de vii, sau spanzurati de maini si de picioare pentru a muri de o tortura lenta. Acestea, precum si alte practici inumane dau la iveala cruzimea acestei natiuni. Inscriptiile lor imparatesti infatiseaza mereu exaltarea produsa de numarul dusmanilor ucisi, al prizonierilor luati, al cetatilor rase de pe fata pamantului si jefuite, al tinuturilor pustiite si al pomilor roditori distrusi. Rapire. Ebr. perez, ,,un act de violenta”, denota violenta asirienilor in purtarea loc cu popoarele biruite. Ultima propozitie a v. 1 arata ca aceasta rapire si jefuire a victimelor ei de catre conducatorii Ninivei practic nu mai inceta (vezi Isaia 33,1). 3:2 Auziti pocnetul biciului, uruitul rotilor, tropaitul cailor, si durduitul carelor! Pocnetul. Profetul descrie aici sunetele inaintarii armatelor asediatoare, tot asa cum descrisese deja infatisarea lor externa (cap. 2,3.4). El aude, ca sa zicem asa, pocnetul biciului conducatorilor carelor, uruitul rotilor carelor, galopul cailor si inaintarea carelor. 3:3 Se arunca navalnici calaretii, scanteiaza sabia, fulgera sulita O multime de raniti! Gramezi de trupuri moarte! Morti fara numar! Cei vii se impiedica de cei morti! Multime. Atat de multi au fost ucisi, incat razboinicii vii ,,se impiedica” de ei, si inainteaza cu intarziere. 3:4 Din pricina multelor curvii ale curvei, plina de farmec, fermecatoare iscusita, care vindea neamurile prin curviile ei si popoarele prin vrajitoriile ei. Curvii. O exprimare folosita figurat cu privire la idolatrie (vezi Ezechiel 23,27; Osea 1,2; 4,12.13; 5,4). Idolatria a fost un alt motiv al caderii Asiriei. Intrucat idolatria asiriana era josnic de imorala, a o desemna prin termenul ,,curvii” era de doua ori mai adecvat (vezi comentariul la 2Regi 9,22). 3:5 Iata, am necaz pe tine, zice Domnul ostirilor iti voi ridica poalele peste cap, ca sa-ti vada neamurile goliciunea, si imparatiile, rusinea. Pe tine. Sau ,,Impotriva ta”. Vezi comentariul la cap. 2,13. Domnul ostirilor. Vezi comentariul la Ieremia 7,3. Iti voi ridica poalele. Literal ,,descoperi poalele” (vezi Isaia 3,17; 47,3; Ezechiel 16,37; vezi comentariul la Ieremia 13,26). Din cauza ,,curviilor” ei (vezi Naum 3,4), Dumnezeu avea sa o pedepseasca in modul cel mai injositor, ca pe o prostituata. 3:6 Voi azvarli cu murdarii peste tine, te voi injosi, si te voi face de ocara. Murdarii. Ebr. shiqqus, ,,ceva detestabil”, in general folosit cu privire la lucrurile legate de cultul idolatru. De ocara. LXX zice ,,o pilda publica” (vezi Matei 1,19). Continuand imaginea ,,curvei” (Naum 3,4), profetul prezice ca Ninive va suferi injosirea si tratamentul rau pe care o asemenea femeie ar primi-o de la mojicime (vezi Ezechiel 16,37-40). 3:7 Toti cei ce te vor vedea vor fugi de tine, si vor zice: Ninive este nimicita! Cine o va plange? Unde sa-ti caut mangaietori? Vor fugi. O imagine aratand pedeapsa extrema care va veni asupra Ninivei, incat privelistea ingrozitoare va determina privirile sa se intoarca de acolo. Cine o va plange? O intrebare retorica aratand ca nimeni nu se va intrista dupa ea intrucat merita sa fie pedepsita (vezi Ieremia 15,5.6). 3:8 Esti tu mai buna decat No-Amon, cetatea care sedea intre rauri, inconjurata de ape, avand ca zid de aparare marea, ca ziduri marea? No-Amon. Cetatea zeului egiptean Amen; adica cetatea Teba in Egiptul de Sus (vezi Ieremia 46,25; Ezechiel 30,14-16). Aceasta vestita cetate, cu mormintele ei regale, cu colosii si sfincsii ei, cu marile ei temple de la Karnak si Luxor cu coloanele si colonadele lor masive, era superb situata pe Nil, precum Ninive era pe Tigru. Naum o avertizeaza aici pe Ninive ca inaintea Cerului, ea nu este mai buna decat Teba si poate cu usurinta sa-i impartaseasca soarta. Teba fusese distrusa in 663 i.Hr., de Asurbanipal, imparatul Asiriei. Marea. Termenul se refera aici la raul Nil. In Vechiul Testament, fluviile mari erau uneori numite ,,mari” (vezi Isaia 19,5; Ieremia 51,36). Propozitia finala inseamna simplu ca Nilul cu canalele lui constituiau ,,zidurile”, sau sistemul defensiv al Tebei. 3:9 Etiopia si Egiptenii fara numar erau taria ei, Put si Libienii erau ajutoarele ei. Etiopia. Sau, Cus, in principal Nubia clasica sau Sudanul modern (vezi comentariul la Geneza 10,6). Regele care domnea peste Egipt pe vremea nimicirii Tebei a fost Tanutamon, urmasul si nepotul lui Taharka, biblicul Tirhaca. In Vechiul Testament este numit ,,imparatul Etiopiei” (vezi comentariul la 2Regi 19,9), intrucat apartinea Dinastiei a Douazeci si cincia sau ,,Etiopiana” a Egiptului (vezi Vol. II, p. 52, 53). Egiptenii. Sau ,,Egiptul”. Egiptul propriu-zis, al carui popor, unit cu Nubienii, constituiau o putere care era ,,infinita”, sau ,,fara numar”, ca sa zicem asa (2Cronici 12,3). Put. Multi egiptologi considera ca se refera la Punt, insa asiriologii considera ca este o parte din Libia (vezi comentariul la Ezechiel 27,10). Libienii. Literal ,,Lubim”. (vezi comentariul la 2Cronici 12,3). 3:10 Si totusi a trebuit sa plece si ea in surghiun, s-a dus in robie; si pruncii ei au fost zdrobiti in toate colturile ulitelor; au aruncat sortul asupra fruntasilor ei, si tot mai marii ei au fost aruncati in lanturi. A trebuit sa plece. Puterea Tebei si resursele ei aparent nelimitate, incluzand ajutorul aliatilor ei, n-a izbavit-o de la cucerire (vezi comentariul la v. 8). Zdrobiti. Parte din tratamentul crud aplicat in mod obisnuit cetatilor biruite in vremurile de demult (vezi 2Regi 8,12; Psalmi 137,9; Isaia 13,16). 3:11 Si tu te vei imbata, te vei ascunde; si tu vei cauta un loc de adapost impotriva vrajmasului! Si tu. Profetul se intoarce catre Ninive. Te vei ascunde. Sensul aici este probabil ca Ninive nu va da pe fata nici o putere pentru a rezista. 3:12 Toate cetatuile tale sunt niste smochini cu cele dintai roade; cand ii scuturi, smochinele cad in gura cui vrea sa le manance. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 3:13 Iata, poporul tau este ca femeile in mijlocul tau; portile tarii tale se deschid inaintea vrajmasilor tai; focul iti mistuie zavoarele! Femeile. Barbatii asirieni pana aici curajosi si bravi urmau sa fie ca ,,femeile”, in sensul ca nu vor mai fi in stare sa reziste si sa infranga armatele asediatoare (vezi comentariul la Osea 10,5). 3:14 Scoate-ti apa pentru impresurare! Drege-ti intariturile! Calca pamantul, framanta lutul, si gateste cuptorul de caramida! Drege-ti. Adica sa intareasca acele puncte ale fortificatiilor care ar putea fi slabe. Profetul, vorbind cu o nuanta de ironie, indeamna Ninive sa faca tot posibilul pentru a se pregati in vederea unui asediu indelungat si greu. 3:15 Acolo te va manca focul, te va nimici sabia cu desavarsire, te va mistui ca niste lacuste, caci te-ai inmultit ca forfacarul, te-ai ingramadit ca lacustele! Acolo. In ciuda oricaror masuri luate pentru a intari locurile slabite ale fortificatiilor, ,,focul” va ,,manca” de-a dreptul cetatea. Arheologii au aratat clar ca profetia aceasta a fost implinita literal. Lacuste. Sau ,,omida”. Ebr. yeleq, stadiul tarator, fara aripi al lacustei (vezi Psalmi 105,34; Ieremia 51,14.27; Ioel 1,4; 2,25). Evident ca profetul a folosit imaginea aceasta aici si in versetul urmator pentru a arata ca distrugerea Ninivei va fi la fel de brusca si deplina ca aceea savarsita asupra vegetatiei de aceste insecte. Te-ai inmultit. Chiar daca Asirienii si-ar ingramadi ostiri la fel de numeroase ca hoardele de omizi, sau de lacuste, nu vor reusi nicidecum. 3:16 Negustorii tai sunt mai multi decat stelele cerului, s-au ingramadit ca puii de lacusta care isi intind aripile si zboara. Negustorii tai. Ninive era asezata avantajos pentru a face un comert extins cu alte tari. Dar aceste legaturi comerciale nu-i vor sluji la nimic. Distrugerea adusa de dusmanii ei va fi rapida si deplina. 3:17 Voievozii tai sunt ca lacustele, mai marii tai ca o ceata de lacuste, care tabarasc in dumbravi pe racoarea zilei: cand rasare soarele, zboara, si nu se mai cunoaste locul unde erau. Voievozii tai. Ebr. taphsarim, ,,scriitori de tablite”, sau ,,scribi” (vezi comentariul la Ieremia 31,27). Termenul folosit aici inseamna ofiteri militari de rang superior. Acesti slujbasi oficiali sunt adesea infatisati pe monumente. Dupa cum lacustele devin inactive pe vreme de ,,racoare”, tot asa conducatorii si slujbasii asirieni vor deveni neputinciosi in criza cetatii. Singurul lucru care ii mai ramanea armatei asiriene era sa ,,zboare”, adica sa piara si sa dispara. 3:18 In timp ce pastorii tai dorm, imparate al Asiriei, si viteii tai se odihnesc, poporul tau este risipit pe munti, si nimeni nu-l mai strange. Pastorii tai dorm. Conducatorii natiunii sunt reprezentati aici fie ca adormiti fata de responsabilitatile lor, fie ca fiind ucisi in batalie, ,,dormind” somnul mortii. Risipit. O data ce conducatorii nu mai sunt, oamenii Ninivei nu le mai pot opune o rezistenta eficienta dusmanilor lor. 3:19 Rana ta nu se alina prin nimic, rana ta este fara leac! Toti cei ce vor auzi de tine vor bate din palme, caci cine este acela, pe care sa nu-l fi atins rautatea ta? Nu se clatina. Literal, ,,fara usurare”, sau ,,fara ajutor”. Vor auzi de tine. Ebr. shema?, ,,un raport” (vezi Geneza 29,13; Exod 23,1; Deuteronom 2,25; etc.). La vestea caderii Ninivei, natiunile inconjuratoare sunt descrise ca batand din palme de bucurie deoarece aceasta va insemna sfarsitul neincetatei ,,rautati” si a asupririi neobosite. Profetul isi incheie solia intr-o nota de certitudine si finalitate. Asiria isi avusese timpul de har, dar acum este in zadar sa mai primeasca indurare. COMENTARIILE LUI ELLEN G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
