8:1 Domnul a zis lui Iosua: Nu te teme, si nu te inspaimanta! Ia cu tine pe toti oamenii de razboi, scoala-te, suie-te impotriva cetatii Ai. Iata ca iti dau in mainile tale pe imparatul din Ai si pe poporul lui, cetatea lui si tara lui. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:2 Sa faci cetatii Ai cum ai facut Ierihonului si imparatului lui: sa pastrati pentru voi numai prada de razboi si vitele. Pune niste oameni la panda inapoia cetatii. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:3 Iosua s-a sculat cu toti oamenii de razboi ca sa se suie impotriva cetatii Ai. A ales treizeci de mii de barbati viteji, pe care i-a pornit noaptea, Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:4 si le-a dat urmatoarea porunca: Ascultati! Sa va puneti la panda inapoia cetatii; sa nu va departati mult de cetate, si toti sa fiti gata. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:5 Iar eu si tot poporul care este cu mine ne vom apropia de cetate. Si cand vor iesi inaintea noastra, ca intaiasi data, noi o s-o luam la fuga dinaintea lor. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:6 Ei ne vor urmari pana cand ii vom trage departe de cetate, caci vor zice: Fug dinaintea noastra, ca intaiasi data! Si vom fugi dinaintea lor. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:7 Voi sa iesiti atunci de la panda si sa puneti mana pe cetate, si Domnul, Dumnezeul vostru, o va da in mainile voastre. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:8 Dupa ce veti lua cetatea, sa-i puneti foc, sa faceti cum a zis Domnul: aceasta este porunca pe care v-o dau. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:9 Iosua i-a pornit, si s-au dus de s-au asezat la panda intre Betel si Ai, la apus de Ai. Iar Iosua a petrecut noaptea aceea in mijlocul poporului. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:10 Iosua s-a sculat dis-de-dimineata, a cercetat poporul, si a pornit impotriva cetatii Ai, in fruntea poporului, el si batranii lui Israel. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:11 Toti oamenii de razboi care erau cu el s-au suit si s-au apropiat de cetate; cand au ajuns in fata cetatii, au tabarat la miaza noapte de Ai, de care erau despartiti prin vale. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:12 Iosua a luat aproape cinci mii de oameni, si i-a pus la panda intre Betel si Ai, la apus de cetate. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:13 Dupa ce s-a asezat toata tabara la miaza noapte de cetate, si cei de panda la apus de cetate, Iosua a inaintat in noaptea aceea in mijlocul vaii. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:14 Cand a vazut imparatul cetatii Ai lucrul acesta, oamenii din Ai s-au sculat in graba dis-de-dimineata, si au iesit inaintea lui Israel, ca sa-l bata. Imparatul s-a indreptat, cu tot poporul lui, spre un loc hotarat, inspre campie, si nu stia ca inapoia cetatii o mana de oameni stateau la panda impotriva lui. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:15 Iosua si tot Israelul s-au prefacut ca sunt batuti, si au fugit pe drumul dinspre pustie. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:16 Atunci tot poporul care era in cetate s-a strans ca sa-i urmareasca. Au urmarit pe Iosua si au fost trasi departe din cetate. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:17 N-a ramas nici un om in Ai si in Betel care sa nu fi iesit impotriva lui Israel. Au lasat cetatea deschisa, si au urmarit pe Israel. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:18 Domnul a zis lui Iosua: Intinde spre Ai sulita pe care o ai in mana, caci am s-o dau in mana ta! Si Iosua a intins spre cetate sulita pe care o avea in mana. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:19 De indata ce si-a intins mana, barbatii, care stateau la panda, au iesit repede din locul unde erau; au patruns in cetate, au luat-o, si s-au grabit de i-au pus foc. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:20 Oamenii din Ai, uitandu-se inapoi, au vazut fumul cetatii suindu-se spre cer, si n-au mai putut sa scape in nici o parte. Poporul care fugea spre pustie s-a intors impotriva celor ce-l urmareau; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:21 caci Iosua si tot Israelul, vazand cetatea luata de cei ce stateau la panda, si fumul cetatii suindu-se in sus, s-au intors si au batut pe oamenii din Ai. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:22 Ceilalti de asemenea le-au iesit inainte din cetate, si oamenii din Ai au fost inconjurati de Israel din toate partile. Israel i-a batut, fara sa lase unul cu viata, nici vreun fugar; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:23 pe imparatul din Ai, l-au prins viu, si l-au adus la Iosua. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:24 Dupa ce a ispravit Israel de ucis pe toti locuitorii din Ai, in camp si in pustie, unde ii urmarisera ei, si dupa ce toti au fost trecuti in totul prin ascutisul sabiei, tot Israelul s-a intors la Ai si a trecut cetatea prin ascutisul sabiei. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:25 In totul au fost douasprezece mii de insi ucisi in ziua aceea, barbati si femei, toti oameni din Ai. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:26 Iosua nu si-a tras mana pe care o tinea intinsa cu sulita, pana ce toti locuitorii au fost nimiciti cu desavarsire. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:27 Israel a pastrat pentru sine doar vitele si prada din cetatea aceasta, dupa porunca pe care o daduse lui Iosua Domnul. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:28 Iosua a ars cetatea Ai, si a facut din ea pentru totdeauna un morman de daramaturi, care se vede pana in ziua de azi. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:29 A spanzurat de un lemn pe imparatul din Ai, si l-a lasat pe lemn pana seara. La apusul soarelui, Iosua a poruncit sa i se pogoare trupul de pe lemn; l-au aruncat la intrarea portii cetatii, si au ridicat pe el o mare gramada de pietre, care este pana in ziua de azi. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:30 Atunci Iosua a zidit un altar Domnului, Dumnezeului lui Israel, pe muntele Ebal, Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:31 cum poruncise copiilor lui Israel Moise, robul Domnului, si cum este scris in cartea legii lui Moise: era un altar de pietre necioplite, peste care nu trecuse fierul. Pe altarul acesta au adus Domnului arderi de tot, si jertfe de multumiri. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:32 Si acolo Iosua a scris pe pietre o copie a legii pe care o scrisese Moise inaintea copiilor lui Israel. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:33 Tot Israelul, batranii, mai marii ostii si judecatorii lui, stateau de amandoua partile chivotului, inaintea preotilor, din neamul Levitilor, care duceau chivotul legamantului Domnului; erau de fata atat strainii cat si copiii lui Israel, jumatate in dreptul muntelui Garizim, si jumatate in dreptul muntelui Ebal, dupa porunca pe care o daduse mai inainte Moise, robul Domnului, ca sa binecuvanteze pe poporul lui Israel. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:34 Iosua a citit apoi toate cuvintele legii, binecuvantarile si blestemele, dupa cum este scris in cartea legii. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 8:35 N-a ramas nimic din tot ce poruncise Moise, pe care sa nu-l fi citit Iosua in fata intregii adunari a lui Israel, in fata femeilor, copiilor si strainilor care mergeau in mijlocul lor. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
