19:1 Asa a vorbit Domnul: Du-te de cumpara de la un olar un vas de pamant, si ia cu tine pe cativa din batranii poporului si din batranii preotilor. Asa vorbeste Domnul. Deoarece sunt multe puncte de asemanare intre acest capitol si cap. 7, multi comentatori au tras concluzia cele doua cuvantari pe care le tine aici Ieremia apartin primei parti a dramei lui Ioiachim. Stransa legatura dintre evenimentele acestui capitol si cele din cap. 25, 20 si respectiv 36, arata ca evenimentele din cap. 19 par sa fi avut loc in timpul celui de-al patrulea an al lui Ioiachim, probabil 605/604 i.Hr. (vezi PK 432). Batranii. Adica reprezentantii mai varstnici ai conducatorilor civili si religiosi. 19:2 Du-te in valea Ben-Hinom, care este la intrarea portii olariei, si acolo sa vestesti cuvintele pe care ti le voi spune. Valea. Valea Hinom era situata la sud de Ierusalim (vezi harta p. 625; vezi comentariul la cap. 7,31). Ebr. Ben Hinom, ,,fiul lui Hinom”. Se poate ca valea sa-si traga numele de la primul ei stapan, sau de la cineva dintre cei care locuiau acolo. Mai vezi si comentariul la 2Regi 23,10; Matei 5,22. Poarta olariei. Se poate sa se fi numit astfel pentru ca ducea la locul unde se arunca ceramica sparta. Daca este asa, intreaga priveliste de acolo ii oferea lui Ieremia o imagine adecvata a ceea ce urma sa li se intample iudeilor din pricina apostaziei lor. 19:3 Sa spui: Ascultati Cuvantul Domnului, imparati ai lui Iuda, si locuitori ai Ierusalimului! Asa vorbeste Domnul ostirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Iata, voi aduce peste locul acesta o nenorocire, care va face sa tiuie urechile oricui va auzi vorbindu-se de ea. Imparati ai lui Iuda. Se poate sa fie folosit pluralul spre a-i cuprinde atat pe Ioiachim, care domnea atunci, cat si pe urmasul sau, Ioiachin. Sa tiuie urechile. Aceasta expresie a fost folosita aici spre a arata nimicirea Ierusalimului si a Templului (vezi Ieremia 7,14; comp. 2Regi 21,12-15). 19:4 Pentru ca M-au parasit, au spurcat locul acesta, au adus in el tamaie altor dumnezei, pe care nu-i cunosteau nici ei, nici parintii lor, nici imparatii lui Iuda, si au umplut locul acesta cu sange nevinovat. Au spurcat locul acesta. Literal, ,,au facut de nerecunoscut locul acesta”, adica l-au luat de la Domnul si l-au dat unui dumnezeu strain (vezi 2Regi 21,1-5.10-12; 2Cronici 33,1-7) Sange nevinovat. Evident o referire la nemiloasele jertfe de copii aduse zeului Moloh (vezi comentariul la cap. 7,31). 19:5 Au zidit si inaltimi lui Baal, ca sa arda pe copiii lor in foc ca arderi de tot lui Baal: lucru, pe care nici nu-l poruncisem, nici nu-l randuisem, si nici nu-Mi trecuse prin minte. Inaltimi lui Baal. Vezi cap. 2,23. Sa arda pe copii. Vezi comentariul la cap. 7,31. Nu-l poruncisem. O figura de stil in care accentul este pus printr-o subestimare a situatiei de fapt. Nu numai ca Dumnezeu nu poruncise aceste practici; El le interzisese sub pedepsele cele mai aspre (vezi Levitic 18,21; 20,1-5; Deuteronom 12,31; 18,9.10; Ieremia 7,31). 19:6 De aceea, iata, vin zile, zice Domnul, cand locul acesta nu se va mai numi Tofet, nici Valea Ben-Hinom, ci se va numi Valea Macelului! Tofat. Locul acesta era legat, asa cum arata versetul acesta, cu ,,valea fiului lui Hinom” (vezi v. 2), unde in zilele lui Iosia si Ieremia, copiii erau trecuti prin foc in cinstea lui Moloh, ca jertfe (2Regi 23,10; vezi comentariul la Ieremia 7,31). Valea Macelului. Ca o dreapta rasplatire pentru cultul cel nemilos si crud al lui Iuda, locul acesta ingrozitor avea sa fie prefacut intr-un loc al ,,macelului” atunci cand Ierusalimul avea sa fie cucerit de Babilonieni (vezi 2Regi 25,1-9). 19:7 In locul acesta voi zadarnici sfatul lui Iuda si al Ierusalimului, ii voi face sa cada ucisi de sabie inaintea vrajmasilor lor, si de mana celor ce vor sa le ia viata. Trupurile lor moarte le voi da hrana pasarilor cerului si fiarelor pamantului. Hrana pasarilor. Vezi Ieremia 7,33; 16,4; 34,20; Apocalips 19,17.18). 19:8 Voi face din cetatea aceasta o groaza si o batjocura; asa ca toti cei ce vor trece pe langa ea, se vor ingrozi si vor suiera, cand vor vedea toate ranile ei. O groaza si o batjocura. Vezi comentariul la cap. 18,16. Ranile. Literal, ,,loviturile”, adica ranile si macelul aduse de invadatorii babilonieni asupra tarii. 19:9 Ii voi face sa manance carnea fiilor si fiicelor lor, asa ca isi vor manca unii carnea altora, in mijlocul necazului si stramtorarii, in care-i vor aduce vrajmasii lor, si cei ce vor sa le ia viata. Ii voi face sa manance. Vezi Deuteronom 28,49-57; Plangeri 2,20. Iosif Flavius aminteste cazul unei mame care si-a mancat propriul ei copil din pricina foamei cumplite din Ierusalim in timpul asediului condus de Titus, in anul 70 d.Hr. (Razboaiele iudeilor, vi. 3. 4). 19:10 Sa spargi apoi vasul, sub ochii oamenilor care vor merge cu tine. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 19:11 Si sa le spui: Asa vorbeste Domnul ostirilor: Tocmai asa voi zdrobi pe poporul acesta si cetatea aceasta cum se sparge vasul unui olar, fara sa poata fi facut la loc. Si mortii vor fi ingropati in Tofet, din lipsa deloc pentru ingropare. Fara sa poata fi facut la loc. In repetate randuri Domnul Isi avertizase poporul ca va aduce nenorocirea peste ei din pricina multimii pacatelor lor (cap. 4,6.7; 18,11, etc.). Printr-o actiune izbitoare profetul avea sa intipareasca acum acest adevar in mintea lor. Spargerea vasului de lut ilustra in chip zguduitor care aveau sa fie efectele invaziei Babiloniene. Totusi, amenintarea era conditionata. Inca nu era prea tarziu pentru a indeparta osanda de deasupra cetatii si a neamului. Dumnezeu declarase: ,,Deodata zic despre un neam, despre o imparatie, ca-l voi smulge, ca-l voi surpa, si ca-l voi nimici; dar daca neamul acesta, despre care am vorbit astfel, se intoarce de la rautatea lui, atunci si Mie imi pare rau de raul pe care imi pusesem in gand sa i-l fac” (cap. 18,7.8). Cuvintele ,,fara sa poata fi facut la loc” nu intentionau sa se inteleaga ca Dumnezeu isi retrasese fagaduintele Sale privitoare la o reintoarcere si restaurare in Pamantul Fagaduit dupa captivitatea Babiloniana (vezi p. 31). Dupa aceea fagaduintele au fost repetate (Ieremia 29,10; 30,3; etc.). Cu nici un chip ele nu erau contrazise de profetia de fata. Doar cand iudeii L-au lepadat pe Hristos au fost pentru totdeauna lepadati de a mai fi poporul lui Dumnezeu (Matei 21,33-43). Cu privire la relatia dintre reintoarcerea contemporana a iudeilor cu profetia din vechime vezi p. 33. Ingropati in Tofet. Vezi comentariul la v. 6. Ingroparea lor in Tofet exprima, de fapt, judecata grozava a lui Dumnezeu ce avea sa vina asupra celor apostati datorita nelegiuirii lor. Lipsa de loc. Vezi comentariul la cap. 7,32. 19:12 Asa voi face locului acestuia zice Domnul si locuitorilor lui, si voi face cetatea aceasta ca Tofetul. Voi face cetatea aceasta ca Tofetul. O comparatie vie a ruinei si nimicirii orasului cu cea a Vaii lui Hinom (vezi comentariul la v. 2). Dispretul sugerat de numele Tofet avea sa fie aruncat asupra intregii cetati a Ierusalimului (vezi comentariul la cap. 7,31). 19:13 Casele Ierusalimului, si casele imparatilor lui Iuda vor fi necurate ca Tofetul, toate casele pe acoperisul carora se aducea tamaie intregii ostiri a cerurilor, si se turnau jertfe de bautura altor dumnezei! Acoperisul. Acoperisurile plate ale caselor din vechime erau locuri potrivite pentru inchinarea la corpuri ceresti (vezi Ieremia 32,29; Tefania 1,5). Ostirea cerului. Soarele, luna si stelele (vezi cap. 8,2). 19:14 Ieremia s-a intors din Tofet, unde-l trimisese Domnul sa proroceasca. Apoi a stat in curtea Casei Domnului, si a zis intregului popor: Casa Domnului. Din Valea Ben-Hinom, unde daduse conducatorilor poporului solia sa (vezi v. 1, 2), profetul s-a indreptat acum spre Templu pentru a-i vesti intregului popor venirea judecatii divine. 19:15 Asa vorbeste Domnul ostirilor, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Iata, voi aduce peste cetatea aceasta si peste toate cetatile care tin de ea, toate nenorocirile pe care i le-am vestit mai dinainte, pentru ca si-au intepenit gatul ca sa n-asculte cuvintele Mele. Asa vorbeste Domnul. Evident cuvantarea lui Ieremia adresata poporului repeta ceea ce fusese spus conducatorilor in Valea Ben-Hinom, asa ca versetul acesta nu cuprinde decat un scurt rezumat al soliei. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
