5:1 A treia zi, Estera s-a imbracat cu hainele imparatesti si a venit in curtea dinauntru a casei imparatului, inaintea casei imparatului. Imparatul sedea pe scaunul lui imparatesc, in casa imparateasca, in fata usii casei. A treia. Adica a treia zi a postului (cap. 4,16). Estera si slujnicele ei, care poate vor fi fost si ele iudaice, nu au mancat nimic in seara primei zile, nimic in tot cursul zilei de-a doua si nimic in dimineata zilei de-a treia (vezi cap. 4,16). S-a imbracat cu hainele imparatesti. Pe timpul postului, Estera poate a stat in sac si cenusa, dar acum ea le-a schimbat cu splendoarea vesmintelor imparatesti. Parasind apartamentele femeilor din incinta palatului, Estera a trecut prin gradina care inconjura probabil sala imparateasca si a intrat in curte, chiar in fata salii deschise a tronului (vezi la cap. 1,5). Stand drept in fata tronului, dar la o oarecare departare de el, cu scopul de a atrage atentia imparatului, Estera a asteptat incuviintarea lui. Ea stia ca, in momentul sosirii ei, el era asezat pe tronul lui si fara indoiala o va vedea. In fata usei casei. Adica, in fata intrarii salii. Tronul, care era asezat cu fata spre intrarea principala, era probabil o platforma inaltata. Sezand pe tronul sau, imparatul putea deci sa aiba perspectiva asupra intrarii si a curtii de dincolo de ea, prin culoarul de coloane (vezi la cap. 1,5). 5:2 Cand a vazut imparatul pe imparateasa Estera in picioare in curte, ea a capatat trecere inaintea lui. Si imparatul a intins Esterei toiagul imparatesc, pe care-l tinea in mana. Estera s-a apropiat, si a atins varful toiagului. A atins varful. Intinderea sceptrului indica bunavointa si aprobarea imparatului; atingerea sceptrului insemna recunoastere bunavointei astfel aratate. Intrand in curtea interioara, Estera incalcase deja legea (cap. 4,11; cf. cap. 6,4). Ahasveros trebuie sa fi inteles ca doar un caz de forta majora urgent o facuse pe Estera sa se apropie de tron neinvitata. 5:3 Imparatul i-a zis: Ce ai tu, imparateasa Estero, si ce ceri? Chiar daca ai cere jumatate din imparatie, iti voi da. Ce ceri? Acordarea celor cerute inainte ca ele sa fi fost exprimate era un gest de bunavointa practicat de monarhii orientali. Potrivit lui Herodot, exista o zi pe an in care imparatul era obligat sa aprobe orice cerere facuta de un oaspete de la masa sa. Venirea Esterei arata clar ca ea avea de prezentat o cerere urgenta. Jumatate din imparatie. O noua dovada a bunavointei imparatesti (vezi Marcu 6,23). 5:4 Estera a raspuns: Daca imparatul gaseste cu cale, sa vina imparatul astazi cu Haman la ospatul pe care i l-am pregatit. Sa vina imparatul astazi. O asemenea invitatie trebuie sa fi fost oarecum neobisnuita. De obicei imparatul si imparateasa luau masa separat. Dar ca imparateasa sa invite inca un oaspete barbat pe langa imparat era cat se poate de neobisnuit si pentru destinatarul invitatiei parea sa fie o inalta favoare. Ahasveros si-a adus aminte probabil de refuzul lui Vasti de a lua parte la ospatul lui. Natura neobisnuita a invitatiei Esterei, impreuna cu faptul ca fusese prezenta in persoana, trebuie sa-l fi uimit si intrigat pe imparat. Curiozitatea lui de imparat a avut cateva ore la dispozitie sa se framante si sa se intensifice. 5:5 Si imparatul a zis: Duceti-va indata si aduceti pe Haman, cum doreste Estera. Imparatul s-a dus cu Haman la ospatul pe care-l pregatise Estera. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 5:6 Si pe cand beau vin, imparatul a zis Esterei: Care este cererea ta? Ea iti va fi implinita. Ce doresti? Chiar daca ai cere jumatate din imparatie, o vei capata. Care este cererea ta? Fireste ca Ahasveros a inteles ca nu doar pentru placerea de a-i avea la masa pe el si pe primul lui ministru isi primejduise Estera viata apropiindu-se nechemata de tronul lui. 5:7 Estera a raspuns: Iata ce cer si ce doresc. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 5:8 Daca am capatat trecere inaintea imparatului, si daca gaseste cu cale, imparatul sa-mi implineasca cererea si sa-mi faca dorinta, sa mai vina imparatul cu Haman si la ospatul pe care li-l voi pregati, si maine voi da raspuns imparatului dupa porunca lui. Daca gaseste cu cale imparatul. Estera a castigat mult amanand cu inca o zi expunerea cererii ei. Poate ca mai presus de toate, Ahavasveros a fost fara indoiala impresionat ca cererea ei era nu doar o chestiune de viata si de moarte pentru ea personal, subinteleasa prin aparitia ei brusca inaintea lui in dimineata acelei zile, ci era un apel premeditat si cumpanit, nu un impuls de-o clipa. In plus, amanarea urma sa sporeasca curiozitatea imparatului (vezi la v. 4) si sa-l pregateasca astfel mai bine pentru ceea ce urma sa fie un soc puternic. Iar pentru Estera amanarea urma sa insemne timp in care sa se roage si sa cumpaneasca bine cum sa prezinte cererea, timp in care sa-si gaseasca calmul inainte de a o exprima. Cu toate ca Estera nu stia inca aceasta, Providenta hotarase amanarea pentru a pregati mai bine mintea si inima imparatului (cap. 6,1-11). 5:9 Haman a iesit in ziua aceea, vesel si cu inima multumita. Dar, cand a vazut, la poarta imparatului, pe Mardoheu care nu se scula nici nu se misca inaintea lui, s-a umplut de manie impotriva lui Mardoheu. Nu se scula, nici nu misca. Sau "nici nu s-a sculat, nici n-a tremurat" (RSV). Osandit la moarte prin decretul lui Haman, Mardoheu l-a sfidat cu indrazneala pe autorul crimei. Prezenta lui la poarta imparatului este o dovada ca nu mai era imbracat in sac (cap. 4,2), asa cum facuse cu doua zile inainte. Fara indoiala, el aflase de primirea favorabila a Esterei de catre imparat si credea ca planul ei avea sa fie incununat de succes. 5:10 A stiut totusi sa se stapaneasca, si s-a dus acasa. Apoi a trimis sa aduca pe prietenii sai si pe nevasta sa Zeres. A stiut... sa se stapaneasca. Cu toate ca era grozav de furios pe Mardoheu personal, Haman a considerat ca e un gest mai demn sa nu-i acorde atentie. 5:11 Haman le-a vorbit despre stralucirea bogatiilor lui, despre numarul fiilor sai, despre tot ce facuse imparatul ca sa-l ridice in vrednicie, si despre locul pe care i-l daduse mai presus de capeteniile si slujitorii imparatului. Stralucirea bogatiilor lui. Vezi la cap. 3,9. Fiilor sai. Conform cap. 9,7-10, Haman avea zece fii. Persii si alti orientali considerau extrem de onorabil statul unui tata cu multi fii. 5:12 Si a adaugat: Eu sunt chiar singurul pe care imparateasa Estera l-a primit impreuna cu imparatul la ospatul pe care l-a facut, si sunt poftit si pe maine la ea cu imparatul. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 5:13 Dar toate acestea n-au nici un pret pentru mine, cata vreme voi vedea pe Mardoheu, Iudeul acela, sezand la poarta imparatului. N-au nici un pret. Haman nu invatase intelepciunea de a pune placerea inaintea durerii, bucuria inaintea intristarii, multumirea inaintea necazului. Si nici nu invatase sa considere supararile si incercarile vietii ca binecuvantari mascate. In ciuda aparentei sale stapaniri de sine si a faptului ca era prim ministru al puternicului Imperiu persan, caracterul lui era putin mai bun decat acela al unui salbatic. Maretia pamanteasca nu este dovada maretiei sau bunatatii sufletului. 5:14 Nevasta sa Zeres, si toti prietenii lui i-au zis: Sa se pregateasca o spanzuratoare inalta de cincizeci de coti, si maine dimineata cere imparatului ca Mardoheu sa fie spanzurat. Apoi vei merge vesel la ospat cu imparatul. Parerea aceasta a placut lui Haman, si a pus sa pregateasca spanzuratoarea. Spanzuratoare. Literal, "copac". De obicei, persii nu ii spanzurau pe oameni, ci ii executau prin tragere in teapa (vezi cap. 2,23). Inalta de cincizeci de coti. Aproximativ 22,3 m (vezi vol. I, p. 165). Aceasta apare din nou in cap. 7,9, unde se adauga ca spanzuratoarea fusese inaltata acasa la Haman. Casele persane aveau un "patio", o curte interioara, asa cum se obisnuieste la casele spaniole. Inaltimea spanzuratorii avea probabil scopul sa faca vizibila in tot orasul executarea lui Mardoheu. Cere. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
