12:1 Cand s-a intarit Roboam in domnie si a capatat putere, a parasit legea Domnului, si tot Israelul a parasit-o impreuna cu el. A parasit legea. Aceasta a avut loc desigur dupa anul al treilea al lui Roboam (cap. 11,17). Relele domniei lui Roboam sunt prezentate mai amanuntit in Regi. Acolo se afirma ca poporul a zidit inaltimi, idoli si Astartee, si ca erau incurajate si alte lucruri abominabile, precum practicile degradante ale sodomitilor (vezi la 1 Regi 14,22-24). 12:2 In al cincilea an al domniei lui Roboam, Sisac, imparatul Egiptului, s-a suit impotriva Ierusalimului, pentru ca pacatuisera impotriva Domnului. Sisac. Versetele 2-12 vorbesc despre invazia lui Sisac cu detalii mult mai multe decat raportul paralel din 1 Regi 14,25-28. Sisac a lasat propriul sau raport cu privire la aceasta invazie pe zidul marelui templu al lui Amen de la Karnak, in care enumera numele cetatilor lui Iuda si Israel (vezi la 1 Regi 14,25; vezi de asemenea ilustratia din fata p. 48, vol. II). 12:3 Avea o mie doua sute de care si saizeci de mii de calareti; si impreuna cu el a venit din Egipt un popor fara numar, dintre Libieni, Suchieni si Etiopieni. O mie doua sute de cara. Aceste amanunte interesante cu privire la marimea si alcatuirea ostirii egiptene nu sunt amintite in Regi. Libieni. [Lubimi, KJV]. Libienii erau locuitori ai teritoriului Africii de Nord, la vest de Egipt. Poporul acestei regiuni a patruns deseori pe teritoriul Egiptului, s-a amestecat cu egiptenii si s-a angajat in trupele mercenare. Sisac, sau Sesonc I, a fost primul rege al unei dinastii de regi libieni care a domnit peste Egipt, aprox. intre 950-750 i.Hr. Libienii sunt mentionati si in 2 Cronici 16,8; Naum 3,9; Daniel 11,43 (vezi vol. II, p. 50). Suchieni. Poporul acesta nu a fost identificat. Se pare ca au fost un trib mai neinsemnat din Africa de Nord. Etiopieni. Literal, cusiti. Cus era numele general dat regiunii care se afla la sud de Egiptul propriu-zis, corespunzand oarecum Sudanului sau Nubiei. In perioada clasica, termenul Etiopia era aplicat regiunii acesteia. Identificarea aceasta nu trebuie sa fie confundata cu Etiopia moderna, care este mult mai departe spre sud si est. 12:4 A luat cetatile intarite ale lui Iuda, si a ajuns pana la Ierusalim. Cetatile intarite. Cetatile pe care le intarise Roboam par sa fi fost printre cele care au cazut prada lui Sisac. Numai numele a doua din acestea, Soco si Aialon (cap. 11,7.10) se pot citi acum pe inscriptia de la Karnak (vezi la v. 2). 12:5 Atunci prorocul Semaia s-a dus la Roboam si la capeteniile lui Iuda, care se adunasera in Ierusalim, la apropierea lui Sisac, si le-a zis: Asa vorbeste Domnul: Voi M-ati parasit; va parasesc si Eu, si va dau in mainile lui Sisac. Semaia. Relatarea privind solia lui Semaia catre Roboam si conducatorii lui Iuda nu apare in Regi. Scriitorul Cronicilor scoate in evidenta deseori urmarile triste ale incalcarii legii si binecuvantarilor ascultarii. Se adunasera. Cand cetatile mai mici au fost cucerite, capeteniile lui Iuda s-au retras la Ierusalim. Va parasesc. [V-au parasit, KJV]. Afirmatia aceasta descopera metoda pe care Domnul o foloseste adesea pentru a trata faradelegea. Cand poporul Sau Il paraseste si cade in pacat, Domnul Isi retrage mana protectoare, iar fortelor raului li se ingaduie sa-si faca partea prin aducerea judecatii asupra raului (vezi PP 428, 429). 12:6 Capeteniile lui Israel si imparatul s-au smerit, si au zis: Domnul este drept! S-au smerit. Cand a fost amenintata cu pedeapsa, mandra Ninive s-a smerit, iar Domnul s-a indurat de ea (Iosua 3,5-10). Tot astfel pedeapsa l-a adus pe Iuda pe genunchi si la pocainta. Domnul este drept. Oamenii au recunoscut ca Dumnezeu era drept cand ingaduia ca pedepsele pe care le meritau sa vina asupra lor. 12:7 Si daca a vazut Domnul ca s-au smerit, cuvantul Domnului a vorbit astfel lui Semaia: S-au smerit, nu-i voi nimici, nu voi zabovi sa le vin in ajutor, si mania Mea nu va veni asupra Ierusalimului prin Sisac; Cand a vazut Domnul. Domnul n-are placere de suferinta pe care si-o atrag calcatorii de lege, ci este mereu cu luare aminte sa vada daca nu cumva ei se abat de la nelegiuirile lor, pentru ca pedepsele cu care sunt amenintati sa poata fi inlaturate (vezi Exod 18,30-32). Le vin in ajutor. [Le voi da oarecare scapare, KJV]. Judecata cazuse deja in mare masura. Domnul voia acum sa acorde izbavire unei ramasite, neingaduind sa vina asupra lor nimicirea deplina pe care o meritau nelegiuirile lor (vezi 2 Cronici 12,12; Ezra 9,13; Isaia 1,9). Asupra Ierusalimului. Deoarece poporul s-a pocait, amenintarea cu nimicirea imediata a Ierusalimului a fost retrasa. Totusi, amenintarea nimicirii plana inca asupra cetatii si urma sa fie infaptuita daca poporul continua sa traiasca in pacat. 12:8 dar ii vor fi supusi, si vor sti ce inseamna sa-Mi slujeasca Mie sau sa slujeasca imparatiilor altor tari. Voi sti ce insemneaza sa-Mi slujeasca. [Sa poata cunoaste serviciul Meu, KJV]. Adica sa ajunga sa cunoasca deosebirea dintre a-L avea pe Domnul ca Stapan si a avea mana vreunui rege pagan asupra lor. Domnul dorea ca ei sa experimenteze tirania careia i se vinde un om cand se abate de la Dumnezeu si intra pe calea pacatului. 12:9 Sisac, imparatul Egiptului, s-a suit impotriva Ierusalimului. A luat vistieriile Casei Domnului si vistieriile casei imparatului, a luat tot. A luat scuturile de aur pe care le facuse Solomon. A luat visteriile. Tezaurele Templului adunate de David si de Solomon si dedicate Domnului au cazut acum in mainile unui rege pagan. Prin pacatul lor, pretinsii copii ai lui Dumnezeu au adus ocara nu numai asupra lor, dar si asupra lui Dumnezeu. 12:10 Imparatul Roboam a facut in locul lor niste scuturi de arama, si le-a dat in grija capeteniilor alergatorilor, care pazeau intrarea casei imparatului. Capeteniile alergatorilor. Scuturile de aur erau probabil folosite de catre garda personala regala (vezi la cap. 9,16), iar scuturile de arama erau acum incredintate capeteniei garzii. Cuvantul rasim, inseamna literal "alergatori". El este tradus "pedestri" in 1 Samuel 22,17 [KJV], iar expresia in care apare acest cuvant este redata "oameni care alergau" in 1 Regi 1,5. In fiecare caz, oamenii la care se face referire se pare ca apartineau garzii personale. 12:11 Ori de cate ori se ducea imparatul la Casa Domnului, alergatorii veneau si le purtau inaintea lui; apoi le aduceau iarasi in odaia alergatorilor. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 12:12 Pentru ca Roboam se smerise, Domnul Si-a abatut mania de la el, si nu l-a nimicit de tot. Si tot mai era ceva bun in Iuda. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 12:13 Imparatul Roboam s-a intarit in Ierusalim si a domnit. Avea patruzeci si unu de ani cand a ajuns imparat, si a domnit saptesprezece ani la Ierusalim, cetatea pe care o alesese Domnul din toate semintiile lui Israel, ca sa-Si puna Numele in ea. Mama sa se numea Naama, Amonita. S-a intarit. Cuvintele acestea arata redresarea lui Roboam de pe urma invaziei lui Sisac. Patruzeci si unu de ani. Intrucat Solomon a domnit 40 de ani (cap. 9,30), Roboam s-a nascut probabil in anul anterior urcarii lui Solomon pe tron. 12:14 El a facut lucruri rele, pentru ca nu si-a pus inima sa caute pe Domnul. Nu si-a pus inima. [Nu si-a pregatit inima, KJV]. Cuvintele acestea explica cauza nelegiuirilor lui Roboam. Incepand din acest punct, atunci cand se vorbeste despre diferitii succesori la tron, domniile vor fi caracterizate ca bune sau rele (vezi cap. 14,2; 20,32; 21,6 etc). 12:15 Faptele lui Roboam, cele dintai si cele de pe urma, nu sunt scrise oare in cartea prorocului Semaia, si a prorocului Ido, in cartile spitelor de neam? Totdeauna a fost razboi intre Roboam si Ieroboam. Cartea proorocului Semaia. Compara cu cap. 9,29. Versetele 15.16 alcatuiesc formula de incheiere a domniei lui Roboam. Ea este tipica pentru formula folosita la incheierea rapoartelor domniilor regilor (vezi cap. 13,22; 14,1; 16,13.14; 21,1 etc). Sectiunea paralela este 1 Regi 14,29- 31. COMENTARIILE LUI ELLEN G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
