38:1 Secţiunea a IX-a - Cum se pun bazele necumpătării 1. INFLUENŢA PĂRINTEASCĂ 38:2 Unde ar trebui să înceapă reforma. - Eforturile lucrătorilor noştri în domeniul temperanţei nu bat atât de departe, încât să alunge blestemul necumpătării din ţară. Odată formate, obiceiurile sunt greu de răpus. Reforma ar trebui începută cu mama, înainte de naşterea copiilor ei; şi dacă instrucţiunile lui Dumnezeu sunt respectate cu credincioşie, necumpătarea nu va exista. 38:3 Conformarea obiceiurilor cu voia lui Dumnezeu trebuie să fie efortul constant al oricărei mame, pentru a putea acţiona în armonie cu El, pentru păzirea copiilor ei de viciile nimicitoare de viaţă din ziua de azi. Mamele să intre, fără nici o zăbavă, într-o relaţie corectă cu Creatorul lor pentru a putea, asistate de harul Lui, să ridice în jurul copiilor lor un dig împotriva uşurătăţii şi necumpătării. - Counsels on Diet and Foods, pag. 225, 226. 38:4 Obiceiurile tatălui şi ale mamei. - De regulă, orice bărbat lipsit de temperanţă, care creşte copii, le transmite acestora înclinaţiile şi tendinţele lui rele. - Review and Herald, 21 noiembrie 1882. 38:5 Copilul va fi influenţat spre bine sau rău de obiceiurile mamei. Ea trebuie să fie condusă de principii şi să practice cumpătarea şi renunţarea la sine, dacă vrea să urmărească binele copilului ei. - Counsels on Diet and Foods, pag. 218. 38:6 Moştenirea tendinţelor rele. - Gândurile şi sentimentele mamei vor avea o puternică influenţă asupra zestrei pe care ea o transmite copilului. Dacă permite minţii să se ia după simţăminte, dacă se complace în egoism, dacă este irascibilă şi capricioasă, starea copilului ei va indica acest fapt. Astfel, mulţi au primit ca moştenire tendinţe spre rău aproape de nebiruit. Vrăjmaşul sufletelor înţelege lucrul acesta mult mai bine decât o fac mulţi dintre părinţi. Satana îşi va orienta ispitele spre mamă, ştiind că, dacă aceasta nu îi rezistă, el îi va putea afecta copilul, prin ea. Singura speranţă a mamei este la Dumnezeu. Ea poate alerga la El pentru putere şi har şi nu va fi zadarnic. - Signs of the Times, 13 septembrie 1910. 38:7 Solia lui Dumnezeu pentru fiecare mamă. - Grija cu care mama trebuie să-şi controleze obiceiurile vieţii este arătată în Scripturi. Când Domnul a intenţionat să-l ridice pe Samson ca izbăvitor al Israelului, "îngerul Domnului" i s-a arătat mamei cu instrucţiuni speciale, referitoare la obiceiurile ei şi, de asemenea, la felul în care să aibă grijă de copil: "să nu bei nici vin, nici băutură tare, şi să nu mănânci nimic necurat." Jud. 13, 13. 7. 38:8 Efectul influenţei părinţilor este considerat de mulţi dintre aceştia ca fiind o chestiune de mică importanţă; dar nu aşa vede şi cerul. Solia trimisă printr-un înger al lui Dumnezeu şi prezentată de două ori în modul cel mai solemn, se dovedeşte a fi demnă de cea mai atentă consideraţie a noastră. 38:9 Prin cuvintele spuse mamei evreice, Dumnezeu vorbeşte tuturor mamelor din toate timpurile. "Femeia să se ferească de tot ce i-am spus", a zis îngerul. Bunăstarea copilului va fi influenţată de obiceiurile mamei. Poftele şi dorinţele ei trebuie să fie supuse principiilor. Există ceva de evitat pentru ea, ceva de combătut, dacă vrea să împlinească scopul lui Dumnezeu cu ea, acela de a avea un copil. Dacă înainte de naşterea copilului mama este îngăduitoare cu sine, dacă este egoistă, nervoasă şi capricioasă, aceste trăsături se 38:10 vor reflecta în dispoziţia copilului. În felul acesta, mulţi copii au primit drept moştenire tendinţe spre rău aproape de neînvins. Dar dacă mama aderă ferm la principiile drepte, dacă este cumpătată şi dovedeşte renunţare de sine, dacă este bună, blândă şi altruistă, poate transmite copilului ei aceleaşi preţioase trăsături de caracter. Foarte clară a fost porunca de interzicere a folosirii vinului de către mamă. Orice picătură de alcool luată de mamă pentru satisfacerea apetitului pune în pericol sănătatea fizică, intelectuală şi morală a copilului ei şi este un păcat chiar împotriva Creatorului. - The Ministry of Healing, pag. 372, 373. 38:11 Răspundere pentru starea generaţiilor următoare. - Dacă femeile din generaţiile trecute ar fi fost întotdeauna motivate de înalte consideraţii, conştiente că generaţiile care urmează vor fi mai bune sau mai rele, în funcţie de felul în care au acţionat ele, şi-ar fi luat seama şi nu şi-ar fi unit interesele vieţii cu bărbaţi nutrind pofte nenaturale pentru băuturi alcoolice şi tutun, care constituie o otravă lentă, dar sigură şi mortală, prin slăbirea sistemului nervos şi degradarea nobilelor facultăţi ale minţii. Rămânând bărbaţii legaţi de aceste obiceiuri urâte, ele ar fi trebuit să-i lase în voia singurătăţii, să se bucure de ceea ce ei au ales. Femeile n-ar fi trebuit să se autodesconsidere într-atât, încât să-şi unească destinul cu bărbaţi care nu au control asupra propriilor pasiuni şi a căror fericire esenţială constă în a mânca, a bea şi a-şi satisface pasiunile animalice. 38:12 Femeile n-au urmat întotdeauna îndemnurile raţiunii în locul celor ale impulsului. În mare măsură, ele n-au simţit responsabilităţile pe care le au, de a-şi forma obiceiuri care să nu imprime progeniturii lor un nivel moral scăzut şi o dorinţă de satisfacere a apetitului decăzut, cu preţul sănătăţii şi chiar al vieţii. Dumnezeu le va face răspunzătoare, în mare parte, de sănătatea fizică şi caracterele morale, transmise astfel generaţiilor următoare. - How to Live, Nr. 2, pag. 27. 28. 38:13 Copilul nou-născut. - Întrebarea taţilor şi a mamelor ar trebui să fie: "Ce trebuie să facem pentru copilul care ni se va naşte?" Am prezentat cititorului ce a spus Dumnezeu referitor la ce trebuie să facă mamele înainte de naşterea copiilor lor, dar asta nu este totul, îngerul Gabriel a fost trimis din curţile cereşti pentru a da instrucţiuni de îngrijire a copiilor după naştere, pentru ca părinţii să poată înţelege deplin datoria lor. 38:14 În preajma primei veniri a lui Hristos, îngerul Gabriel a venit la Zaharia cu o solie asemănătoare celei date lui Manoah. Vârstnicului preot i s-a spus că soţia îi va naşte un fiu, al cărui nume avea să fie Ioan. "El va fi pentru tine o pricină de bucurie şi veselie şi mulţi se vor bucura de naşterea lui. Căci va fi mare înaintea Domnului. Nu va bea nici vin nici băutură ameţitoare şi se va umple de Duhul Sfânt". Acest copil al făgăduinţei trebuia să crească în obiceiuri de strictă temperanţă. Lui avea să i se încredinţeze o lucrare importantă, aceea de pregătire a căii pentru Hristos. 38:15 Necumpătarea exista în popor sub orice formă. Îngăduinţa în privinţa vinului şi mâncărurilor grele slăbea puterea fizică şi degrada moralul în aşa măsură, încât cele mai revoltătoare crime nu erau văzute ca păcat. Glasul lui Ioan a trebuit să răsune puternic din pustie, în mustrare hotărâtă faţă de îngăduinţele păcătoase ale poporului; iar obiceiurile lui austere erau, de asemenea, o mustrare faţă de excesele din vremea sa. - Counsels on Diet and Foods, pag. 225. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
