78:1 Cap. 76 - Însemnul nobleţei 78:2 În timpul celor trei ani de pregătire, Daniel şi tovarăşii lui şi-au păstrat obiceiurile privitoare la abstinenţă, loialitatea faţă de Dumnezeu şi o constantă dependenţă de puterea Lui. Când a venit momentul ca abilităţile şi realizările lor să fie testate de către rege, au fost examinaţi împreună cu alţi candidaţi pentru slujirea regatului. Dar "între toţi tinerii aceia nu s-a găsit nici unul ca Daniel, Hanania, Mişael şi Azaria". Înţelegerea, priceperea lor ascuţită, limbajul lor precis şi ales, cunoştinţele lor bogate mărturiseau despre o tărie şi o vigoare a puterii lor mintale fără egal. Astfel au stat ei înaintea regelui; şi "în toate lucrurile care cereau înţelepciune şi pricepere şi despre care îi întreba împăratul, îi găsea de zece ori mai destoinici decât toţi vrăjitorii şi cititorii în stele, care erau în toată împărăţia sa". 78:3 Dumnezeu onorează întotdeauna pe cei drepţi. Cei mai promiţători tineri din toate ţările supuse în cursul cuceririlor au fost adunaţi în Babilon şi totuşi, printre toţi aceştia, tinerii evrei nu aveau rivali. Statura dreaptă, pasul ferm şi elastic, înfăţişarea senină, simţurile netulburate, respiraţia neîntinată de aburii alcoolului; toate acestea erau însemnul nobleţei cu care natura îi onorează pe cei ce se supun legilor sale. 78:4 Efectul obiceiurilor fizice asupra minţii 78:5 Am face bine să chibzuim asupra lecţiei care ne-a fost prezentată. O respectare strictă a cererilor Bibliei 78:6 va fi o binecuvântare atât pentru corp, cât şi pentru suflet. Roadele Duhului nu sunt numai dragostea, bucuria şi pacea, ci şi cumpătarea. Mai suntem îndemnaţi să nu ne pângărim trupurile, pentru că ele sunt templele Duhului Sfânt. 78:7 Captivii evrei erau oameni cu aceleaşi pasiuni ca şi noi. Dar, chiar şi sub influenţele seducătoare ale luxoasei curţi a Babilonului, ei au rămas fermi. Tinerii de astăzi sunt înconjuraţi de tentaţiile îngăduinţei cu privire la sine. În special în marile noastre oraşe, fiecare formă de manifestare a plăcerilor senzuale este făcută să pară plăcută şi uşoară. Cei care, asemenea lui Daniel refuză să se mânjească vor strânge răsplata unor obiceiuri cumpătate. Cu vitalitatea lor fizică şi puterea crescută de a rezista, ei au un depozit în bancă la care pot apela în caz de urgenţă, atunci când este nevoie. 78:8 Obiceiurile fizice bune promovează o superioritate mintală. Puterea intelectuală, robusteţea fizică şi lungimea vieţii depind de aceste legi de neschimbat. Dumnezeu nu va interveni pentru a-i împiedica pe oameni să încalce cerinţele naturii. Cel care se luptă pentru desăvârşire trebuie să fie cumpătat în toate lucrurile. Claritatea minţii lui Daniel şi fermitatea în îndeplinirea scopului său, puterea lui de a dobândi cunoştinţe şi de a rezista ispitelor s-au datorat într-o mare măsură simplităţii dietei sale, legate de viaţa sa de rugăciune. 78:9 Făuritori ai propriului destin 78:10 Este mult adevăr în zicala: "Fiecare om este făuritorul propriului său noroc". În timp ce părinţii sunt responsabili de amprenta caracterului, precum şi de educaţia şi pregătirea fiilor şi fiicelor lor, este însă adevărat că poziţia 78:11 şi abilitatea noastră în lume depind într-o mai mare măsură de propriul nostru curs al acţiunii. 78:12 Daniel şi tovarăşii lui au beneficiat de o educaţie şi o pregătire corecte în primii ani ai vieţii, dar numai aceste avantaje nu i-ar fi putut face să ajungă acolo unde au ajuns. A venit şi timpul când a trebuit ca ei să hotărască singuri în dreptul lor - când viitorul lor era la îndemâna lor. Atunci ei au decis să rămână în adevăr, de partea lecţiilor pe care le primiseră în copilărie. Teama de Dumnezeu, care este începutul înţelepciunii, a fost temelia măreţiei lor. 78:13 Istoria lui Daniel şi a tinerilor săi tovarăşi a fost înregistrată pe paginile Cuvântului inspirat pentru binele tinerilor de peste veacuri. Prin înregistrarea loialităţii lor faţă de principiile cumpătării, Dumnezeu le vorbeşte astăzi tinerilor, băieţi şi fete, implorându-i să adune razele preţioase ale luminii pe care El a dat-o creştinilor cu privire la cumpătare şi să se plaseze într-o relaţie corectă faţă de legile sănătăţii. 78:14 Cumpătarea răsplătită din belşug 78:15 Acum este nevoie de oameni care, ca Daniel, să îndrăznească şi să acţioneze. În lumea de azi lipsesc o inimă curată şi o mână puternică şi fără teamă. Dumnezeu a prevăzut ca omul să se poată dezvolta constant, atingând zilnic o treaptă mai înaltă pe scara desăvârşirii. El ne va ajuta, dacă noi căutăm să-i ajutăm pe alţii. Speranţa noastră de fericire, atât în această lume cât şi în cea viitoare, depinde de valorificarea la maximum a primeia. La fiecare pas ar trebui să fim preveniţi, pregătiţi împotriva primei cedări în faţa necumpătării. 78:16 Dragi tineri, Dumnezeu vă cheamă să faceţi o lucrare pe care, prin harul Său, o puteţi aduce la îndeplinire. "Aduceţi 78:17 trupurile voastre ca o jertfă vie, sfântă, plăcută lui Dumnezeu: aceasta va fi din partea voastră o slujbă duhovnicească ." Rămâneţi mai departe în deplinătatea umanităţii voastre date de Dumnezeu. Arătaţi o curăţie a gusturilor, poftei şi obiceiurilor care să suporte o comparaţie cu Daniel. Dumnezeu vă va răsplăti cu nervi liniştiţi, o minte clară, o judecată fără egal şi simţuri ascuţite. Acei tineri de azi, ale căror principii sunt ferme şi de neclintit, vor fi binecuvântaţi cu sănătatea trupului, a minţii şi a sufletului. - YI, 9 iulie 1903 78:18 Religia şi sănătatea 78:19 "Frica de Domnul este începutul înţelepciunii." Când oamenii cu obiceiuri rele şi practici păcătoase se supun puterii divine a adevărului, pătrunderea Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu dă lumină şi pricepere celui neştiutor. Aceasta este o aplicare a adevărului pentru inimă; şi puterea morală, care părea că este paralizată, se trezeşte. Primitorul este stăpânit de o inteligenţă mai puternică şi mai clară decât înainte. El a pironit sufletul lui de Stânca cea veşnică. Sănătatea se îmbunătăţeşte exact în măsura încrederii lui în Hristos. În felul acesta, religia şi legile sănătăţii merg mână în mână. - 4 T 553, 554 78:20 SECŢIUNEA a VIII-a 78:21 Viaţa devoţională 78:22 Spiritul cel Sfânt şi sfătuitor al lui Dumnezeu se găseşte în Cuvântul Său. O lumină, o nouă şi preţioasă lumină străluceşte de pe paginile Sale. Acolo este descoperit adevărul, iar cuvintele şi propoziţiile sunt potrivite şi luminoase pentru fiecare ocazie în care Dumnezeu vorbeşte sufletului. 78:23 Duhului lui Dumnezeu Îi face plăcere să le vorbească tinerilor şi să le descopere comorile şi frumuseţile Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu. Făgăduinţele rostite de Marele Învăţător vor captiva simţămintele şi vor înzestra sufletul cu o putere spirituală de natură divină. Şi în mintea îmbogăţită astfel se va dezvolta o familiarizare cu lucrurile duhovniceşti, care va fi ca o barieră în calea ispitei. - COL 132 |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
