27:1 PREGĂTIREA PENTRU VENIREA LUI HRISTOS [Din Review, 17 februarie 1853] 27:2 Dragi fraţi şi surori, credem noi din toată inima că Hristos vine curând şi că noi suntem în posesia ultimei solii de har care mai trebuie dată unei lumi vinovate? Este exemplul pe care-l dăm ceea ce ar trebui să fie? Arătăm noi celor din jurul nostru, prin vieţile noastre şi conversaţie sfântă, că aşteptăm apariţia glorioasă a Domnului şi Mântuitorului nostru, Isus Hristos, care va preschimba aceste trupuri stricate şi le va face după trupul Său slăvit? Mă tem că noi nu credem şi nu ne dăm seama de aceste lucruri aşa cum ar trebui s-o facem. Cei care cred în adevărurile importante, pe care le mărturisim ar trebui să facă dovada faptică a credinţei lor. Se caută prea mult distracţiile şi lucrurile care să ne atragă atenţia în această lume; mintea este lăsată să se ocupe prea mult cu îmbrăcămintea, iar limba este angajată adesea în discuţii frivole, lucru care dovedeşte mărturisirea noastră ca fiind mincinoasă, căci conversaţia noastră nu este în cer, unde Îl căutăm pe Mântuitorul. 27:3 Îngeri ne veghează şi ne păzesc; noi le provocăm adesea suferinţă acestor îngeri, îngăduindu-ne o conversaţie frivolă, spunând glume şi, de asemenea, afundându-ne într-o stare de nepăsare şi toropeală. Deşi s-ar putea ca acum să depunem când şi când câte un efort şi chiar să obţinem biruinţa, dacă nu o păstrăm, ci ne afundăm în aceeaşi stare de nepăsare şi indiferenţă, incapabili de a suporta ispitele şi de a ne împotrivi vrăjmaşului, noi nu trecem testul încercării credinţei noastre, care este mai preţioasă decât aurul. Nu suferim pentru Hristos şi nu ne bucurăm în necazurile noastre. 27:4 Există o mare lipsă de rezistenţă creştină şi slujire oferită lui Dumnezeu din principiu. Nu ar trebui să căutăm să-i 27:5 facem pe plac eului şi să-l mulţumim, ci să-L onorăm şi să-I dăm slavă lui Dumnezeu, şi în tot ce facem şi spunem să avem un ochi aţintit numai la slava Sa. Dacă ne lăsăm inimile impresionate de următoarele cuvinte importante şi dacă le purtăm mereu în minte, nu vom cădea atât de uşor în ispită, iar cuvintele noastre vor fi puţine şi bine alese: "Dar El era străpuns pentru păcatele noastre, zdrobit pentru fărădelegile noastre. Pedeapsa, care ne dă pacea, a căzut peste El, şi prin rănile Lui suntem tămăduiţi." "În ziua judecăţii oamenii vor da socoteală de orice cuvânt nefolositor pe care-l vor fi rostit." "Tu eşti Dumnezeu care mă vede." 27:6 Nu am putea să ne gândim la aceste cuvinte importante şi să ne aducem aminte de suferinţele lui Isus, pentru ca noi, bieţi păcătoşi, să putem primi iertarea şi să fim răscumpăraţi pentru Dumnezeu prin sângele Său, nespus de scump, fără a simţi o temere sfântă şi o dorinţă sinceră de a suferi pentru Cel care a suferit şi a îndurat atâtea pentru noi. Dacă ne ocupăm de aceste lucruri, eul nostru îndrăgit, cu toată mândria lui, va fi smerit şi locul său va fi ocupat de o simplitate asemănătoare cu aceea a unui copil, care va suporta acuzaţiile din partea altora şi nu se va lăsa provocat cu uşurinţă. Atunci, un duh încăpăţânat nu va veni pentru a conduce sufletul. 27:7 Adevăratele bucurii şi mângâieri ale creştinului trebuie să fie şi chiar sunt în cer. Sufletele pline de dor ale acelora care au gustat din puterile lumii ce va veni şi s-au desfătat cu bucurii cereşti nu vor fi satisfăcute de lucruri care aparţin acestui pământ. Asemenea oameni vor găsi destule de făcut în momentele lor de răgaz. Sufletele lor vor fi atrase de Dumnezeu. Unde este comoara, acolo va fi şi inima, într-o dulce comuniune cu Dumnezeul pe care-L iubesc şi căruia I se închină. Desfătarea lor va fi acea de a-şi contempla comoara - Cetatea cea Sfântă, pământul cel nou, căminul lor veşnic. Şi, în timp ce meditează asupra acestor lucruri care sunt pline de măreţie, curate şi sfinte, cerul va fi adus mai aproape şi ei vor simţi puterea Duhului 27:8 Sfânt, iar aceasta va avea tendinţa de a-i dezobişnui tot mai mult de lume şi de a face ca mângâierea şi cea mai mare bucurie să fie în lucrurile cerului, căminul lor scump. Puterea de atracţie către Dumnezeu şi cer va fi atunci atât de mare, încât nimic să nu le poată distrage atenţia de la marele obiectiv de a asigura mântuirea sufletului, de a-L onora pe Dumnezeu şi de a-I da slavă. 27:9 Când îmi dau seama cât de mult s-a făcut pentru noi pentru a ne păstra drepţi, simt nevoia să exclam: O, ce iubire, ce iubire neasemuită are Fiul lui Dumnezeu pentru noi, bieţii păcătoşi! Să fim adormiţi şi nepăsători în timp ce se face tot ce este cu putinţă pentru salvarea noastră? Tot cerul este interesat de noi. Ar trebui să fim vii şi treji pentru a-L onora, slăvi şi adora pe Cel peste măsură de înălţat. Inimile noastre ar trebui să dea pe dinafară de atâta iubire şi recunoştinţă pentru Cel care a fost atât de plin de iubire şi compasiune pentru noi. Ar trebui să-L onorăm cu viaţa noastră şi să arătăm printr-o vorbire curată şi sfântă că suntem născuţi de sus, că această lume nu este căminul nostru, ci că suntem străini şi peregrini aici, călătorind către o ţară mai bună. 27:10 Mulţi care mărturisesc Numele lui Hristos şi pretind că aşteaptă apropiata Sa întoarcere nu ştiu ce înseamnă să suferi pentru Hristos. Inimile lor nu sunt înmuiate prin har şi ei nu sunt morţi faţă de eu, după cum se face dovada în diferite moduri. În acelaşi timp, ei vorbesc despre faptul că trec prin încercări. Dar motivul principal al încercărilor lor este o inimă nesupusă, care face eul atât de sensibil, încât se irită deseori. Dacă asemenea persoane ar putea să-şi dea seama ce înseamnă să fii un umil urmaş al lui Hristos, un creştin adevărat, ar începe să lucreze cu multă hotărâre - şi ar începe aşa cum se cuvine. Mai întâi, ei ar muri faţă de eu, apoi ar fi gata oricând pentru rugăciune şi ar controla fiecare pasiune a inimii. Fraţilor, renunţaţi la independenţa voastră, la încrederea pe care o aveţi în voi înşivă şi urmaţi Modelul cel blând. Ţineţi-L pe Isus în gândurile voastre - El este exemplul vostru şi voi trebuie 27:11 să călcaţi pe urma paşilor Lui. Priviţi către Isus, Căpetenia şi Desăvârşirea credinţei noastre, care, pentru bucuria ce I-a fost pusă înainte, a îndurat crucea şi a dispreţuit ruşinea. El a suferit din partea păcătoşilor o împotrivire atât de mare faţă de Sine. Pentru păcatele noastre a fost El odinioară Mielul cel blând, lovit, rănit, năpăstuit şi înjunghiat. 27:12 Atunci haideţi să suferim şi noi pentru Isus, să răstignim eul zilnic şi să fim părtaşi la suferinţele lui Hristos aici, pentru a putea fi făcuţi părtaşi cu El la slava Sa şi să fim încununaţi cu glorie, cinste şi viaţă veşnică. |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
