91:1 Cel ce stă sub ocrotirea Celui Preaînalt, şi se odihneşte la umbra Celui Atotputernic, INTRODUCERE. - Psalmul 91 are o solie de mângâiere pentru toţi cei care trec prin perioade de necaz, îndeosebi pentru "poporul lui Dumnezeu care ţine poruncile" (vezi 8T 120) şi pentru aceia care vor trece prin "timpul strâmtorării" şi prin primejdiile timpurilor din urmă (vezi Ed 181; PP 110; PK 538; GC 630; 8T 120, 121). Psalmul are ca temă siguranţa pe care cel care îşi pune încrederea în Dumnezeu. Schimbarea de pronume din v. 1-13 e probabil datorată folosirii liturgice a psalmului, diferitele lui părţi fiind cântate la serviciul de închinare de către voci solo sau de voci care răspundeau una alteia. Psalmul poate fi comparat cu descrierea pe care o face Elifaz vieţii omului bun (vezi Iov 5,17-26), pe care însă o depăşeşte cu mult (vezi Proverbe 3,21-26). 1. Stă. [Locuieşte, KJV]. Ideea este aceea de odihnă liniştită, ca într-o locuinţă. Ocrotirea. [Locul tainic, KJV]. Când suntem "primiţi în intimitatea şi comuniunea cea mai strânsă cu Dumnezeu" (MB 188), se poate spune că locuim "în locul tainic al Celui Prea Înalt". Prea Înalt. Ebr. 'Elyon. Vezi vol. I, p. 170-173 cu privire la acest nume dat lui Dumnezeu, precum şi la celelalte trei nume folosite în v. 1.2: "Atotputernic" (Shaddai), "Domnul" (Yahweh), "Dumnezeu" ('Elohim). La umbra. Vezi la Psalm 17,8. Versetele 1 şi 4 vor aduce o mângâiere deosebită acelora care iau seama la avertizarea lui Dumnezeu, în "ziua Domnului" (vezi PP 167). 91:2 zice despre Domnul: El este locul meu de scăpare, şi cetăţuia mea, Dumnezeul meu în care mă încred! Zice. [Eu voi zice, KJV]. "Eu". Psalmistul face din simţământul acesta expresia personală, specială a satisfacerii acestei nevoi. Locul meu de scăpare. [Refugiul, KJV]. Vezi Psalm 18,2; 144,2. Mă încred. Vezi Psalm 31,6; 55,23. "În Dumnezeu ne încredem" este motoul care se află pe bancnotele şi monedele Statelor Unite ale Americii. 91:3 Da, El te scapă de laţul vânătorului, de ciumă şi de pustiirile ei. Te scapă. [Cu siguranţă te va scăpa, KJV]. În ebraică, subliniat. Laţul. Vezi Psalm 124,7. Satana pune multe laţuri pentru copiii lui Dumnezeu. Ciumă şi pustiirile ei. [Ciuma rău mirositoare, KJV]. Literal, "plaga nimicirilor". În timp de necaz "poporul lui Dumnezeu nu va fi scutit de suferinţă. Totuşi, chiar dacă sunt persecutaţi şi necăjiţi, îndură lipsuri şi suferă de foame, nu vor fi lăsaţi să piară" (GC 629). 91:4 El te va acoperi cu penele Lui, şi te vei ascunde sub aripile Lui. Căci scut şi pavăză este credincioşia Lui! Pavăză. Ebr. sinnach (vezi Psalm 5,12). 91:5 Nu trebuie să te temi nici de groaza din timpul nopţii, nici de săgeata care zboară ziua, Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 91:6 nici de ciuma, care umblă în întuneric, nici de molima, care bântuie ziua în amiaza mare. Ciuma. Ebr. deber, "plagă", personificată ca umblând în întunericul nopţii, când nu poate fi depistată. Molima. [Nimicirea, KJV]. Ebr. qeţeb, poate numele unei boli. Îngerii îi ocrotesc pe oameni de astfel de boli (DA 348; AA 153). 91:7 O mie să cadă alături de tine, şi zece mii la dreapta ta, dar de tine nu se va apropia. O mie... zece mii. Folosirea în poezie a unor numere mari, rotunde au efect retoric. Cuvântul ebraic tradus "zece mii" uneori înseamnă doar un număr mare, neprecizat. În ugaritică (vezi p. 618) cuvântul acesta este folosit adesea în construcţii paralele cu "o mie" şi denotă doar numere mari. Nu ar trebui să se facă nici un calcul din folosirea figurată a numerelor acestora. De tine nu se va apropia. Indiferent de primejdie, ea nu va atinge pe acela a cărui încredere este în Dumnezeu. Aceasta e convingerea pe care i-o dă omului credinţa neclintită, în ceasul primejdiei celei mai mari. 91:8 Doar vei privi cu ochii, şi vei vedea răsplătirea celor răi. Vei privi cu ochii. Vei vedea pedepsirea celui nelegiuit, dar nu vei avea parte de ea (vezi Psalm 37,34). Israeliţii au văzut cu ochii lor când egiptenii au pierit în Marea Roşie (vezi Exod 14,31); în ţinutul Gosen ei urmăriseră nenorocirile care s-au abătut asupra egiptenilor. 91:9 Pentru că zici: Domnul este locul meu de adăpost! şi faci din Cel Preaînalt turnul tău de scăpare, Cel Prea Înalt. Vezi la v. 1. Turnul tău de scăpare. Vezi la Psalm 90,1. 91:10 de aceea nici o nenorocire nu te va ajunge, nici o urgie nu se va apropia de cortul tău. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 91:11 Căci El va porunci îngerilor Săi să te păzească în toate căile tale; Îngerilor. Vezi Psalm 34,7; Genesa 24,7.40; cf. Evrei 1,14. Copiii credincioşi ai lui Dumnezeu se află sub paza neîntreruptă a îngerilor (vezi DA 240; GC 512, 513; MH 105; 6T 366, 367). În toate căile tale. Compară cu folosirea de către Satana a acestui text în ispitirea din pustie a lui Hristos (Matei 4,6; Luca 4,10.11). 91:12 şi ei te vor duce pe mâini, ca nu cumva să-ţi loveşti piciorul de vreo piatră. Te vor duce. Compară cu Proverbe 3,23.24. 91:13 Vei păşi peste lei şi peste năpârci, şi vei călca peste pui de lei şi peste şerpi. Lei. Simbol al unui duşman turbat. Năpârci. Ebr. pethen, o specie de şerpi veninoşi (vezi Deuteronom 32,33; Iov 20,14.16; Isaia 11,8 pentru alte apariţii ale cuvântului pethen). Şerpi. [Balauri, KJV]. Vezi la Psalm 74,13. Cuvântul denotă un monstru marin. Acela care se încrede în Dumnezeu e în siguranţă în mijlocul celor mai îngrozitoare primejdii, ca şi cum ar umbla nevătămaţi printre şerpi veninoşi. 91:14 Fiindcă Mă iubeşte zice Domnul de aceea îl voi izbăvi; îl voi ocroti, căci cunoaşte Numele Meu. Mă iubeşte. Printr-o bruscă şi dramatică schimbare, Dumnezeu este Cel care vorbeşte, ca şi cum nu ar fi fost suficient pentru copiii Săi să se încurajeze unii pe alţii (ca în v. 1-13). Dumnezeu vorbeşte acum în persoană şi aplică psalmului sigiliul propriei Sale făgăduinţe (vezi Psalm 50,15.23). Îl voi izbăvi. Ratificarea de către Dumnezeu a mărturiei servilor Săi, aşa cum e exprimată în v. 3.7.10-13. Numele. Vezi la Psalm 5,11; 7,17. A cunoaşte Numele lui Dumnezeu înseamnă a avea credinţă şi încredere în El. 91:15 Când Mă va chema, îi voi răspunde; voi fi cu el în strâmtorare, îl voi izbăvi şi-l voi proslăvi. Îi voi răspunde. Compară cu Isaia 65,24. În strâmtorare. Vezi Psalm 46,1; cf. Deuteronom 4,7; Isaia 43,2. 91:16 Îl voi sătura cu viaţă lungă, şi-i voi arăta mântuirea Mea. Îl voi sătura. Mulţumirea finală pe care Dumnezeu o făgăduieşte va fi viaţa în prezenţa Sa (vezi Psalm 17,15). Nimic mai puţin decât atât nu poate aduce mulţumire inimii omului. Mântuirea Mea. Adevărata religie aduce omului binecuvântare în viaţa aceasta şi în viaţa viitoare (vezi 1 Timotei 4,8). Având în vedere mulţumirea veşnică pe care o făgăduieşte Dumnezeu, mai putem noi să ne irosim puterile pentru simple şi mărunte câştiguri pământeşti şi să nu depunem nici un efort pentru a asigura împlinirea făgăduinţelor? Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
