44:1 Dumnezeule, am auzit cu urechile noastre, şi părinţii noştri ne-au povestit lucrările, pe care le-ai făcut pe vremea lor, în zilele de odinioară. INTRODUCERE. -Psalmul 44 este o călduroasă stăruitoare adresată lui Dumnezeu ca El să intervină şi să izbăvească pe poporul Său de vrăjmaşii. Psalmul are patru subîmpărţiri: v. 1-8, bunătatea lui Dumnezeu faţă de Israel în zilele de demult; v. 9-16, trista soartă prezentă a lui Israel; v. 17-22, afirmaţia psalmistului că Israel a rămas credincios lui Dumnezeu; şi v. 23-26, apelul psalmistului către Dumnezeu pentru a izbăvi pe Israel. Compară cu Psalmii 59 şi 89. Cu privire la preambul, vezi p. 617, 627. 1. Părinţii noştri. Istoria faptelor minunate ale lui Dumnezeu era transmisă din tată în fiu (vezi Exod 10,2; 12,26.27; Deuteronom 6,20-25; 32,7). Expresia "zilele de odinioară" ["în zilele lor", KJV] merge cu gândul înapoi, la vremea intrării în Canaan (vezi Psalm 44,3). 44:2 Cu mâna Ta, ai izgonit neamuri, ca să-i sădeşti pe ei, ai lovit popoare, ca să-i întinzi pe ei. Neamuri. Ebr. gayin, "popoare", aici popoarele Canaanului. În toată subîmpărţirea aceasta se scoate în evidenţă ideea că biruinţa asupra vrăjmaşului a fost câştigată nu prin tăria lui Israel, ci prin intervenţia lui Dumnezeu. Pe ei. Adică pe copiii lui Israel. Popoare. Adică popoarele Canaanului. Ca să-i întinzi pe ei. Mai degrabă, "ca să-i eliberezi pe ei", adică pe copiii lui Israel. Paralelismul dublu poate fi ilustrat de următoarea parafrazare: Cu mâna Ta, ai izgonit neamurile Canaanului Şi i-ai sădit pe copiii lui Israel; Ai lovit popoarele Canaanului Şi ai eliberat pe copiii lui Israel. 44:3 Căci nu prin sabia lor au pus mâna pe ţară, nu braţul lor i-a mântuit, ci dreapta Ta, braţul Tău, lumina Feţei Tale, pentru că îi iubeai. Feţei. Cuvântul tradus astfel este redat "Eu însumi" [Prezenţa Mea, KJV; "Faţa Mea" trd. Nitz.; "Ochiul Meu", trd. G. Galateni] în Exod 33,14.15. Prezenţa lui Dumnezeu era simbolizată prin stâlpul de nor (Exod 13,21). Îi iubeai. Sau "aveai mare plăcere de ei". 44:4 Dumnezeule, Tu eşti Împăratul meu: porunceşte izbăvirea lui Iacov! Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 44:5 Cu Tine doborâm pe vrăjmaşii noştri, cu Numele Tău zdrobim pe potrivnicii noştri. Cu Tine. [Prin Tine, KJV]. Biruinţa e pusă în seama lui Dumnezeu. Doborâm. Ebr. nagach, folosit pentru împungerea bovinelor cu coarne în Deuteronom 33,17. 44:6 Căci nu în arcul meu mă încred, nu sabia mea mă va scăpa; Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 44:7 ci Tu ne izbăveşti de vrăjmaşii noştri, şi dai de ruşine pe cei ce ne urăsc. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 44:8 Noi, în fiecare zi, ne lăudăm cu Dumnezeu, şi pururea slăvim Numele Tău. (Oprire). Ne lăudăm. Sau, "preamărim". Dumnezeu este unicul motiv de laudă. Compară cu Isaia 25,1-4. Oprire. [Selah, KJV]. Vezi p. 629. 44:9 Dar Tu ne lepezi, ne acoperi de ruşine, nu mai ieşi cu oştirile noastre; Dar. Un puternic contrast între victoria de demult a lui Israel sub mâna puternică a lui Dumnezeu şi soarta tristă a naţiunii din prezent. Psalmistul foloseşte limbajul netehnic al scriitorilor Bibliei, care atât de des Îl descriu pe Dumnezeu ca făcând lucrurile acelea care nu împiedică să fie făcute (vezi la 2 Cronici 18,18). Există un sens în care o astfel de descriere este corectă, dar limbajul trebuie să fie înţeles în lumina revelaţiei generale a inspiraţiei. Suferinţa şi moartea au pătruns în lumea aceasta ca urmare a păcatului, iar vina pentru prezenţa lor trebuie pusă pe seama lui Satana, nu a lui Dumnezeu. Dumnezeu "a semănat o sămânţă bună în ţarina Lui", dar "a venit vrăjmaşul lui, a semănat neghină între grâu" (Matei 13,24.25). Există un sens, în care uneori Dumnezeu este răspunzător în mod mai direct pentru nenorocire. Într-o lume în care există răul pare esenţial ca păcatul să aducă pedeapsă, astfel încât pornirile rele ale inimii omului să poată fi înfrânate. Astfel, Dumnezeu a rânduit pedeapsa civilă pentru persoanele individuale şi a hotărât ca nelegiuirile poporului să cadă asupra poporului (vezi la 2 Cronici 22,8). Nenorocirile lui Israel făceau parte fie din categoria aceasta, în care caz nu erau pe nedrept, fie din categoria generală a suferinţelor cu care vrăjmaşul hărţuieşte familia omenească. Într-un asemenea caz, Dumnezeu nu ar trebui să fie considerat răspunzător pentru ele. Cel în cauză poate că nu întotdeauna va fi capabil să determine cauza suferinţei sale. În timp ce caută un răspuns el ar trebui să fie atent să nu-L învinovăţească pe Dumnezeu în chip "necuvincios" (Iov 1,22). Ne lepezi. Compară cu Psalm 43,2. 44:10 ne faci să dăm dosul înaintea vrăjmaşului, şi cei ce ne urăsc, ridică prăzi luate de la noi. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 44:11 Ne dai ca pe nişte oi de mâncat, şi ne risipeşti printre neamuri. Oi de mâncat. Literal, "oi de hrană", adică oi menite să fie măcelărite pentru a servi ca hrană (vezi v. 22). Neamuri. [Naţiuni, KJV]. Vezi la v. 2. 44:12 Vinzi pe poporul Tău pe nimic, şi nu-l socoteşti de mare preţ. Pe nimic. Literal, "pe ne-bogăţii". Era ca şi cum Israel fusese lepădat, ca şi cum n-ar fi avut nici o valoare. Nu-i socoteşti de mare preţ. Sau "nu ai tras nici un câştig din preţul de vânzare a lor" (RSV). 44:13 Ne faci de ocara vecinilor noştri, de batjocura şi de râsul celor ce ne înconjoară. Ocara. Compară cu Psalm 39,8. 44:14 Ne faci de pomină printre neamuri, şi pricină de clătinare din cap printre popoare. De pomină. Ebr. mashal, un cuvânt cu mai multe sensuri, "parabolă", "proverb", "o cuvântare profetică simbolică" sau "un cântec de satiră", ca aici şi în Deuteronom 28,37 şi 1 Regi 9,7. 44:15 Ocara mea este totdeauna înaintea mea, şi ruşinea îmi acoperă faţa, Ocara. [Confuzie, KJV]. Sau, "insultă". Îmi acoperă faţa. Compară cu Psalm 69,7. 44:16 la glasul celui ce mă batjocoreşte şi mă ocărăşte, la vederea vrăjmaşului şi răzbunătorului. La glasul. Sau "din cauza glasului". La vederea. Versetul acesta încheie descrierea făcută de psalmist stării neajutorate a naţiunii Israel. 44:17 Toate acestea ni se întâmplă, fără ca noi să Te fi uitat, fără să fi călcat legământul Tău: Fără ca noi să Te fi uitat. Psalmistul susţine că motivul necazurilor lui Israel nu poate fi legat de părăsirea lui Dumnezeu; că deşi rămăsese credincioasă, ea fusese pedepsită. Legământul Tău. E dificil de înţeles cum putea psalmistul să susţină că Israel rămăsese credincios, când acesta se lepădase continuu de Dumnezeu. Poate că el vrea să spună că deşi indivizii - chiar o majoritate dintre ei - călcaseră legământul, totuşi, ca naţiune, Israel nu-L tăgăduise în mod oficial pe Dumnezeu. Sau, poate cuprins de adânca lui durere, el vorbeşte folosind hiperbola, aşa cum este obiceiul în Răsărit. 44:18 da, inima nu ni s-a abătut, paşii nu ni s-au depărtat de pe cărarea Ta, Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 44:19 ca să ne zdrobeşti în locuinţa şacalilor, şi să ne acoperi cu umbra morţii. Şacalilor. [Balauri, KJV]. Ebr. tannim, "şacali"; a nu se confunda cu tannin, "monstru marin" (Genesa 1,21; Psalm 148,7) sau "şarpe" (Exod 7,9.10). "Locuinţa şacalilor" înseamnă un loc sălbatic, pustiu, pe unde mişune astfel de creaturi. Psalmistul spune că naţiunea ebraică a fost jefuită şi a devenise un loc potrivit în care să locuiască fiarele sălbatice (vezi Ieremia 9,11; 10,22). Aceasta este o hiperbolă impresionantă. Umbra morţii. Vezi la Psalm 23,4; vezi şi Iov 3,5. 44:20 Dacă am fi uitat Numele Dumnezeului nostru, şi ne-am fi întins mâinile spre un dumnezeu străin, Am fi întins mâinile. Compară cu 1 Regi 8,22; 2 Cronici 6,12.13. 44:21 n-ar şti Dumnezeu lucrul acesta, El, care cunoaşte tainele inimii? Cunoaşte. Dacă lucrul acesta ar fi adevărat, Dumnezeu ar şti. Acesta este un apel solemn la atotştiinţa lui Dumnezeu. Inimii. Vezi Evrei 4,12. 44:22 Dar din pricina Ta suntem junghiaţi în toate zilele, suntem priviţi ca nişte oi sortite pentru măcelărie. Din pricina Ta. Psalmistul pretinde că suferinţele nu erau din cauză că poporul călcase legământul, ci pentru că ei erau poporul lui Dumnezeu. Pavel citează versetul acesta pentru a descrie suferinţele creştinului (vezi Romani 8,36). 44:23 Trezeşte-Te! Pentru ce dormi, Doamne? Trezeşte-Te! Nu ne lepăda pe vecie! Trezeşte-te. Compară Psalm 3,7; 7,6; 35,23; 78,65. Pare că Dumnezeu părăsise cu totul pe Israel. Acum psalmistul începe să-L roage. Un tablou mai corespunzător despre purtării de grijă al lui Dumnezeu faţă de Israel se găseşte în Psalm 121. 44:24 Pentru ce Îţi ascunzi Faţa? Pentru ce uiţi de nenorocirea şi apăsarea noastră? Pentru ce Îţi ascunzi Faţa? Compară cu Psalm 13,1. 44:25 Căci sufletul ne este doborât în ţărână de mâhnire, trupul nostru este lipit de pământ. Sufletul ne este. Sau, "noi suntem" (vezi la Psalm 16,10). Versetul acesta arată o suferinţă şi o descurajare ajunse la extrem. 44:26 Scoală-Te, ca să ne ajuţi! Izbăveşte-ne, pentru bunătatea Ta! Pentru bunătatea Ta. Sau "pentru iubirea Ta" (vezi la Psalm 36,7). În ciuda disperării acute cu privire la soarta înjositoare a naţiunii, psalmistul nu renunţă la credinţa în iubirea lui Dumnezeu. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
