3:1 Doamne, ce mulţi sunt vrăjmaşii mei! Ce mulţime se scoală împotriva mea! INTRODUCERE - Potrivit cu preambulul, psalmul 3 a fost compus de David când a fugit de fiul lui, Absalom. "Istovit de durere şi de oboseala fugii sale, el şi cei care-l însoţeau s-au oprit lângă Iordan pentru a se odihni câteva ceasuri. S-a trezit de strigătele care îl somau să fugă imediat. În întuneric, trecerea râului adânc şi repede a trebuit să fie făcută de toată acea grupă de bărbaţi, femei şi copii mici, deoarece se apropiau de ei forţele fiului trădător." (Ed 164, 165). În ceasurile încercării cele mai sumbre, David a cântat acest imn sublim de încredere în Dumnezeu în faţa duşmanului (vezi PP 741, 742). Psalmul a fost numit "rugăciune de dimineaţă". Este strigătul sufletului în faţa primejdiei, a necazului alinat de trecerea nopţii. E strâns înrudit cu psalmul 4, "rugăciunea de seară", care poate fi privit ca o continuare a lui. Sunt patru strofe: (1) pericolul prezent (v. 1.2); (2) rememorarea ajutorului dat în trecut (v. 3.4); 3) simţământul siguranţei în mijlocul primejdiei prezente (v. 5.6); şi (4) rugăciunea în vederea triumfului asupra duşmanilor (v. 7). O exclamaţie de încredere alături de o rugăciune pentru poporul lui Dumnezeu încheie poemul (v. 8). La mijlocul poemului are loc o schimbare bruscă, dramatică, de la oboseala şi descurajarea nopţii la încrederea şi credinţa triumfătoare a unei noi dimineţi. Se spune că hughenoţii din armata lui Condé au cântat, în timpul războaielor religioase, acest psalm la schimbarea gărzii. Cu privire la relatarea istorică, vezi 2 Samuel 15-17. Cu privire la preambul, vezi p. 616, 627. Vezi harta următoare. 1. Ce mulţi sunt. Absalom a avut mulţi adepţi. Aproape întregul Israel se răzvrătise (vezi 2 Samuel 15-17; în special 15,6.13; vezi şi PP 727-745). Se scoală împotriva mea. Similară cu expresia folosită de Cuşi care a adus vestea lui David despre eşecul răzvrătirii lui Absalom. Vezi 2 Samuel 18,31.32. 3:2 Cât de mulţi zic despre mine: Nu mai este scăpare pentru el la Dumnezeu! Mine. [Sufletul meu, KJV]. Ebr. nephesh, aici cum se întâmplă deseori în psalmi, un idiom care ţine loc de pronume personal. "Zic despre sufletul meu" [KJV] este echivalent cu "zic despre mine". Nu mai este scăpare pentru el. Atât de disperată este starea lui David, încât duşmanii arată că situaţia depăşeşte ajutorul lui Dumnezeu (vezi Psalm 71,10.11). Oprire. [Selah, KJV]. Vezi p. 629. În acest psalm "selah" apare ca marcând separarea între strofe. 3:3 Dar, Tu, Doamne, Tu eşti scutul meu, Tu eşti slava mea, şi Tu îmi înalţi capul! Meu. [Pentru mine, KJV]. Sau "de jur împrejurul meu". Dumnezeu îl asigurase pe Avraam că va fi scutul lui (Genesa 15,1; cf. Deuteronom 33,29; 2 Samuel22,3; Psalm 28,7; 119,114). Tu îmi înalţi capul. [Ridicătorul capului meu, KJV]. Când fugea de vrăjmaşi, David simţea apăsarea umilirii sale (2 Samuel 15,30). Acum, Dumnezeu îl ajută să-şi înalţe capul (vezi Psalm 27,6). 3:4 Eu strig cu glasul meu către Domnul, şi El îmi răspunde din muntele Lui cel sfânt. Eu strig. [Am strigat, KJV]. Forma verbului ebraic tradus astfel exprimă adesea acţiuni repetate, obişnuite. Versetul poate fi astfel înţeles că ori de câte ori David strigă la Dumnezeu, Acesta îi răspunde. "Rugăciunea schimbă lucrurile." Muntele Lui cel sfânt. Sionul (vezi la Psalm 2,6). David mutase chivotul în cetatea sfântă şi era firesc ca el să privească fortăreaţa aceea drept locuinţa specială al lui Dumnezeu. Ebr. har, "deal", este de preferat să fie redat "munte". În literatura ugaritică (vezi p. 618), "muntele sfânt" reprezintă adesea locuinţa cerească a divinităţii lor (vezi Isaia 14,13). 3:5 Mă culc, adorm, şi mă deştept iarăşi, căci Domnul este sprijinul meu. Mă culc. Pronumele "eu" [în română, subînţeles] este accentuat. David arată că este în primejdie să fie atacat în orice clipă în cursul nopţii, hăituit şi blestemat de duşmanii lui. Cu toate acestea este în stare să se culce în pace şi să doarmă, atât de mare era încrederea lui în Dumnezeu. Întrucât totul era în mâinile lui Dumnezeu, el avea simţământul deplinei ocrotiri. Somnul lui nu era urmarea firească a oboselii, a lenei sau a încumetării. Era un act de credinţă. Liniştea sufletească îl încuraja pentru lupta zilei următoare. Domnul este sprijinul meu. Primul gând la deşteptare este unul de recunoaştere că Dumnezeu onorase încrederea pusă în El, tot aşa cum ultimul lui gând la culcare fusese un gând de încredere deplină. Psalmistul este întărit pentru a face faţă necesităţilor zilei. Ultimele gânduri seara sunt adesea primele gânduri dimineaţa. Observaţi trecerea dramatică şi bruscă de la deprimare la triumf. Aşa este binecuvântarea serii şi făgăduinţa unei noi zile (vezi Plângeri 3,22.23) 3:6 Nu mă tem de zecile de mii de popoare, care mă împresoară din toate părţile. Zecile de mii. Avându-L pe Dumnezeu ca ajutor, David nu era descurajat de avantajul numeric al duşmanilor lui (vezi Psalm 27,3; cf. Deuteronom 32,30). 3:7 Scoală-Te, Doamne! Scapă-mă, Dumnezeule! Căci Tu baţi peste obraz pe toţi vrăjmaşii mei, şi zdrobeşti dinţii celor răi. Scoală-Te. Dumnezeu e chemat să vină în ajutorul psalmistului. Compară cu cuvântul de ordine al lui Israel când pornea tabăra (Numeri 10,35; cf. Psalm 68,1; 132,8). Tu baţi. [Tu ai bătut, KJV]. Forma verbului ebraic de aici poate fi privită ca o certitudine perfectă sau ca un perfect profetic. În primul caz, evenimente care sunt aşteptate cu încredere sunt imaginate şi descrise ca deja împlinite. În cazul al doilea, este descris un eveniment viitor ca şi cum a avut deja loc. Psalmistul exprimă încrederea sa că Dumnezeu va zdrobi pe duşmanii lui. Rezultatul este privit aici ca un fapt împlinit. 3:8 La Domnul este scăparea: binecuvântarea Ta să fie peste poporul Tău. La Domnul. Psalmistul nu ridică nici o pretenţie că se poate salva singur. Duşmanului care zice batjocoritor: "Nu mai este scăpare pentru el la Dumnezeu", David îi răspunde de fapt aşa: "Numai la Dumnezeu este ajutorul meu oricând şi oriunde". Peste poporul Tău. În mărinimia lui, David îşi mută gândul de la sine şi de la propria lui primejdie la starea poporului lui, a naţiunii lui, nu numai la cei care îi rămăseseră credincioşi, dar şi la cei care se răzvrătiseră. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
