17:1 Doamne, ascultă-mi pricina nevinovată, ia aminte la strigătele mele, pleacă urechea la rugăciunea mea, făcută cu buze neprefăcute! INTRODUCERE -Atacat adesea de duşmani, psalmistul şi-a revărsat sufletul în cereri călduroase adresate lui Dumnezeu. Psalmul 17 este una dintre rugăciunile acestea de reabilitare a celui neprihănit. În acest psalm, David (vezi PP 452; 5T 397) îşi afirmă încredere în apelul său, se roagă să fie susţinut într-o lume rea şi cugetă la satisfacţia lui finală când Îl va vedea pe Dumnezeu faţă în faţă. Cu privire la preambul, vezi p. 616. 1. Pricina nevinovată. [Dreptul, KJV]. Sau "dreptatea". Întrucât David e convins că dreptatea e de partea lui, Îl poate ruga pe Dumnezeu să-i dea ajutor. Strigătele. Ebr. rimnah, folosit ca strigăt de bucurie (Isaia 14,7; 35,10; 44,23 etc.), cât şi ca rugăminte arzătoare (1 Regi 8,28; Isaia 43,14; Ieremia 7,16). Buze neprefăcute. Literal, "buze înşelătoare". 17:2 Să se arate dreptatea mea înaintea Ta, şi să privească ochii Tăi neprihănirea mea! Dreptatea. David apelează la Dumnezeu ca să-l îndreptăţească în faţa duşmanilor lui. Neprihănirea. Sau, "cinstea". Ca Judecător drept, Dumnezeu îi veţi pe toţi oameni egali, fie ei sfinţi sau păcătoşi. 17:3 Dacă îmi vei încerca inima, dacă o vei cerceta noaptea, dacă mă vei încerca, nu vei găsi nimic: căci ce-mi iese din gură, aceea şi gândesc. Cerca. [Mi-ai încercat, KJV]. Aici David susţine că Dumnezeu l-a testat şi l-a găsit nevinovat. Noaptea. La adăpostul nopţii, oamenii uneltesc fărădelegi (vezi Psalm 36,4). Încerca. Ebr. şaraph, "a înnobila", "a topi", aşa cum metalul este curăţit în foc. Gură. Vezi Iacov 3,2. Hotărârea lui David a influenţat atât gândurile, cât şi faptele. 17:4 Cât priveşte legăturile cu oamenii, eu, după cuvântul buzelor Tale, mă feresc de calea celor asupritori; Cuvântul buzelor Tale. Nu prin propria lui putere, ci prin ascultarea de Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu, l-a ferit David de păcat (vezi Psalm 119,9). 17:5 paşii mei stau neclintiţi pe cărările Tale, şi nu mi se clatină picioarele. Cărările Tale. În contrast cu "calea celor asupritori" (v. 4). Nu mi se clatină. Când ne aflăm într-o situaţie ca aceea a psalmistului, e bine să ne rugăm să putem fi "tari, neclintiţi"(1 Corinteni 15,58). Un singur păcat cultivat ne poate face să alunecăm (vezi PP 452). Numai principiile curate ne pot susţine (vezi 5T 397). 17:6 Strig către Tine, căci m-asculţi, Dumnezeule! Pleacă-Ţi urechea spre mine, ascultă cuvântul meu! M-asculţi. Având o credinţă deplină, David îşi continuă rugăciunea. El ştie că Dumnezeu îl ascultă. Cuvântul. [Vorbirea, KJV]. Rugăciunea cu glas tare, nu cea în gând. Căldura rugăciunii acesteia e o dovadă că partea anterioară a psalmului nu e o simplă fanfaronadă auto-îndreptăţitoare. 17:7 Arată-Ţi bunătatea Ta cea minunată, Tu, care scapi pe cei ce caută adăpost, şi-i izbăveşti de potrivnicii lor, prin dreapta Ta! Bunătatea Ta cea minunată. Sau "fă ca îndurările Tale să se vadă". Tu, care scapi. E cu neputinţă să citeşti Psalmii fără să simţi prezenţa Mântuitorului în rugăciunile psalmistului (vezi Psalm 106,21; cf. Isaia 19,20; 49,26). David Îşi cunoştea Mântuitorul. 17:8 Păzeşte-mă ca lumina ochiului, ocroteşte-mă, la umbra aripilor Tale, Lumina ochiului. Ebr. 'ishon, literal, "omuleţ". Termenul este aplicat pupilei ochiului, probabil din cauză că, aşa cum omul poate vedea într-o oglindă o imagine mai mică a lui. Rugăciunea este ca Dumnezeu să-l apere pe psalmist, aşa cum un om îşi apără lumina ochilor. Compară cu o imagine asemănătoare din Deuteronom 32,10 şi Proverbe 7,2. Umbra aripilor Tale. Expresia această, obişnuită în Psalmi, sugerează imaginea unei cloşti care îşi apără puii. Compară cu o imagine asemănătoare din Deuteronom 32,11.12 şi Matei 23,37. 17:9 de cei răi, care mă prigonesc, de vrăjmaşii mei de moarte, care mă împresoară. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 17:10 Ei îşi închid inima, au cuvintele semeţe în gură. Inima. [grăsimea, KJV]. "Grăsimea", "inima". Ebr. cheleb, probabil la origine grăsimea diafragmei, dintr-o rădăcină ipotetică chalab, "a acoperi". Pornind de aici unii au susţinut că chalab reprezintă aici sediul emoţiilor. De unde traducerea RSV: "ei îşi închid inima faţă de milă". Satisfacerea plăcerilor personale înăspreşte sentimentele oamenilor, făcându-i indiferenţi faţă de suferinţa omului. 17:11 Se ţin de paşii mei, mă înconjoară chiar, mă pândesc ca să mă trântească la pământ. Mă gândesc. Expresia zice literal "ochii şi i-au aţintit la pământ". O paralelă se poate vedea în cazul lui Saul şi al tovarăşilor lui, care, asemenea unor oameni care îşi hăituiesc prada, îşi ţineau ochii aţintiţi spre cărărilor pe care apucase David şi tovarăşii lui. 17:12 Parcă ar fi un leu lacom după pradă, un pui de leu, care stă la pândă în culcuşul lui. Parcă ar fi un leu. Urmăritorii lui David erau ca leii, gata să sară asupra prăzii lor (vezi la Psalm 10,8.9). Versetul este un caz semnificativ de paralelism sinonim, a doua jumătate repetând şi înfrumuseţând ideea din prima jumătate. 17:13 Scoală-te, Doamne, ieşi înaintea vrăjmaşului, doboară-l! Izbăveşte-mă de cel rău cu sabia Ta! Ieşi înaintea. [Dezamăgeşte-i, KJV]. Mai degrabă "înfruntă-i". Doboară-l. Literal, "fă-l să se plece". Mă. [Sufletul, KJV]. Vezi la Psalm 16,10. Sabia Ta. [Care e sabia Ta, KJV]. Construcţia gramaticală permite traducerea "cu sabia Ta". 17:14 Scapă-mă de oameni, cu mâna Ta, Doamne, de oamenii lumii acesteia, care îşi au partea lor în viaţa aceasta, şi cărora le umpli pântecele cu bunătăţile Tale. Copiii lor sunt sătui şi prisosul lor îl lasă pruncilor lor. Cu mâna Ta. [care sunt mâna Ta, KJV]. Construcţia gramaticală permite traducerea "de mâna Ta". Viaţa aceasta. Asemenea oameni găsesc scopul vieţii lor în împlinirea poftelor materiale. Plăcerea senzuală este culmea ambiţiei lor şi unica lor speranţă de răsplătire (vezi Luca 6,24; 16,25). De aceea, ei subordonează totul intereselor lor prezente şi Îl lasă pe Dumnezeu cu totul în afara calculelor lui. Le umpli pântecele cu bunătăţile Tale. [Îi umpli cu comoara Ta ascunsă, KJV]. În ce priveşte scopul pentru care trăiesc, nelegiuiţii au succes. Ei trăiesc numai pentru lumea aceasta şi prosperă în lucrurile lumii acesteia. Viaţa viitoare nu constituie preocuparea lor. Ei au pierdut dreptul la satisfacţie veşnică de dragul unei mulţumiri trecătoare. Aici se află un răspuns parţial la una din cele mai adânci întrebări ale filozofiei: "De ce le merge bine celor nelegiuiţi?" Prosperitatea lor este doar pentru clipa acestei vieţi efemere. Deci n-are nici o importantă în comparaţie cu bunăstarea veşnică a celor neprihăniţi. Copiii. Orientalii considerau copiii o binecuvântare - cu cât erau mai mulţi, cu atât binecuvântarea era mai mare (vezi Psalm 127,3-5). Dimpotrivă, nu putea fi o nenorocire mai mare ca aceea de a nu avea copii (vezi Genesa 30,1). Prisosul lor. Au de ajuns pentru ei şi ca să lase moştenire copiilor lor. Cât priveşte un tablou al prosperităţii lumeşti, vezi Iov 21,7-11. 17:15 Dar eu, în nevinovăţia mea, voi vedea Faţa Ta: cum mă voi trezi, mă voi sătura de chipul Tău. Dar eu. [În ce mă priveşte, KJV]. Într-un contrast fin cu cel lumesc. În loc să invidieze plăcerile de o clipă ale celui nelegiuit, psalmistul doreşte bucuria de a-L vedea pe Dumnezeu faţă în faţă (vezi la Psalm 16,10.11; vezi şi la Psalm 13,1). Comuniunea cu Dumnezeu, părtăşia cu Creatorul este cea mai înaltă satisfacţie a sufletului credincios. A fi asemenea cu Dumnezeu în natura morală este cea mai înaltă speranţă a omului (vezi 1 Ioan 3,2). Elementele din 1 Ioan 3,2 se regăsesc în Psalm 17,15 - satisfacţie supremă, transformare vizibilă, viziune lărgită (vezi Matei 5,8; Romani 8,29; Filipeni 3,21; Apocalipsa 22,4). Prin declaraţia aceasta psalmistul aduce dovada de netăgăduit că el crede în doctrina învierii celor morţi şi în realitatea vieţii viitoare. COMENTARIILE LUI ELLEN G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
