5:1 Adu-Ţi aminte, Doamne, de ce ni s-a întâmplat! Uită-Te şi vezi-ne ocara! Adu-ţi aminte. Acest poem final din cartea Plângerilor este o rugăciune pentru refacere. Stările pe care el le zugrăveşte, sunt aparent acelea din Iuda şi din poporul lui în perioada de după căderea Ierusalimului. Poemul acesta formează un contrast cu poemele din cap. 1,4 din diferite feluri: el nu este un acrostih, deşi are hotărât 22 de versete, acelaşi număr ca literele alfabetului ebraic; şi nu este scris în metrul caracteristic al plângerii ebraice (vezi p. 544). Cu toate acestea, capitolul acesta are remarcabile calităţi poetice. Fiecare verset constă din ouă părţi, care sunt paralele, repetiţia fiind o inovaţie bine cunoscută a poeziei ebraice (vezi Vol. III, p. 23-28). Poetul a dat de asemenea o neobişnuit de mare atenţie la sunet, fapt care este remarcabil, întrucât rima şi asonanţa nu sunt în general caracteristice pentru poezia ebraică. 5:2 Moştenirea noastră a trecut la nişte străini, casele noastre la cei din alte ţări! Străin. Vezi comentariul la cap. 1,10. 5:3 Am rămas orfani, fără tată; mamele noastre sunt ca nişte văduve. Văduve. Vezi comentariul la cap. 1,1. Aici e de înţeles atât văduvia figurată cât şi cea literală, întrucât mulţi bărbaţi au murit în lupte, în timp ce fără îndoială mulţi dintre ceilalţi au fost luaţi în captivitate, dar soţiile şi copiii lor fuseseră lăsaţi înapoi. 5:4 Apa noastră o bem pe bani, şi lemnele noastre trebuie să le plătim. Apa. Chiar şi cele mai obişnuite necesităţi ale vieţii acum puteau fi căpătate numai pe bani. 5:5 Prigonitorii ne urmăresc cu îndârjire, şi când obosim, nu ne dau odihnă. Prigonitorii ne urmăresc cu îndârjire. Literal, expresia aceasta spune: ,,pe grumazii noştri ne fugăresc”. Înţelesul ar putea fi că ei erau urmăriţi cu aprindere. Unii consideră că ar fi mai de dorit sensul cu referire la cruzimea sclaviei, la care erau supuşi cu forţă: ,,suntem mânaţi de grumazii noştri”. În inscripţiile egiptene prizonierii sunt arătaţi legaţi laolaltă de gât. 5:6 Am întins mâna spre Egipt, spre Asiria, ca să ne săturăm de pâine. Am întins mâna. Adică, ,,ne-am supus la” (vezi Ezra 10,19; Ieremia 50,15; Ezechiel 17,18). Egipt. Şi Iuda fusese anterior sub dominaţia egipteană în cursul primei părţi a domniei lui Ioiachim (vezi p. 347). Asiria. Vezi comentariul la Ezra 6,22. 5:7 Părinţii noştri, care au păcătuit, nu mai sunt, iar noi le purtăm păcatele. Părinţii noştri. Vezi 2Regi 21,11-15; 23,26.27. 5:8 Robii ne stăpânesc, şi nimeni nu ne izbăveşte din mâinile lor. Robii. Sau ,,Slujitorii”. În întrebuinţarea din Vechiul Testament, termenul acesta, când era aplicat la slujbaşi ai cârmuirii, nu arăta neapărat o poziţie de mai mică însemnătate în viaţă, ci putea să se refere inclusiv la slujbaşi de rang înalt (vezi comentariul la Neemia 2,10). 5:9 Ne căutăm pâinea cu primejdia vieţii noastre, căci ne ameninţă sabia în pustie. Sabia în pustie. Această expresie unică probabil se referă la prădătorii deşertului, care jefuiau pe oameni când îşi căutau hrană în ţara lor goală şi lipsită de apărare. 5:10 Ne arde pielea ca un cuptor, de frigurile foamei. Ne arde pielea ca un cuptor. Sau ,,Pielea noastră era neagră ca un cuptor”. Literal, ,,se încingea”. O imagine vie reprezentând febra care era produsă de foametea teribilă a asediului final al Ierusalimului (vezi cap. 2,20; 4,10). 5:11 Au necinstit pe femei în Sion, pe fecioare în cetăţile lui Iuda. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 5:12 Mai marii noştri au fost spânzuraţi de mâinile lor; Bătrânilor nu le-a dat nici o cinste. Spânzuraţi de mâinile lor. O metodă obişnuită de tortură în toate timpurile. 5:13 Tinerii au fost puşi să râşnească, şi copiii cădeau sub poverile de lemn. Cădeau sub poveri. Copilaşii erau forţaţi să poarte poveri excesiv de grele de lemne. Măcinarea cerealelor şi căratul lemnelor erau socotite ca sarcini ale slugilor (vezi Judecători 16,21; vezi comentariul la Iosua 9,21). 5:14 Bătrânii nu se mai duc la poartă, şi tinerii au încetat să mai cânte. Poartă. Vezi comentariul la Geneza 19,1; Iosua 8,29; Plângeri 1,4. 5:15 S-a dus bucuria din inimile noastre, şi jalea a luat locul jocurilor noastre. Jocurile. Jocurile erau considerate de evrei ca o deosebită exprimare a bucuriei şi a laudei (Psalmi 30,11; 149,3; 150,4; Ieremia 31,4.13; vezi comentariul la 2Samuel 6,14). 5:16 A căzut cununa de pe capul nostru! Vai de noi, căci am păcătuit! Cunună. Căderea suveranităţii naţionale devine simbolică pentru tot ceea ce Iuda pierduse o dată cu ea. 5:17 Dacă ne doare inima, dacă ni s-au întunecat ochii, Întunecat. Fie literal, din cauza plânsului peste măsură de mare, fie în sens figurat, din cauza scenelor înspăimântătoare, pe care ei le vedeau (vezi comentariul la cap. 3,51). 5:18 este din pricină că muntele Sionului este pustiit, din pricină că se plimbă şacalii prin el. Muntele Sionului. Adică, Ierusalimul (vezi comentariul la Psalmi 48,1.2). Muntele Sionului era îndeosebi considerat ca locaş al lui Iehova (vezi Psalmi 74,2; 76,2), dar acum prezenţa Domnului se depărtase. Şacalii. Ebr. shu‘alim. Folosit şi cu privire la vulpi (vezi comentariul la Judecători 15,4). Prezenţa vulpilor, şi îndeosebi a şacalilor, scoate în evidenţă pustietate şi sălbăticimea locului care cândva fusese inima cetăţii celei mari. Evident cadrul acestui poem reflectă o stare la ceva vreme după nimicirea cetăţii. 5:19 Dar Tu, Doamne, împărăţeşti pe vecie; scaunul Tău de domnie dăinuieşte din neam în neam! Împărăţeşti. Indiferent ce s-ar putea întâmpla omului, Dumnezeu este de-a pururi deasupra omului, deoarece făgăduinţele Lui sunt sigure. Pe vecie. Ebr. le‘olam (vezi comentariul la Exod 12,14; 21,6; 2Regi 5,27). 5:20 Pentru ce să ne uiţi pe vecie, şi să ne părăseşti pentru multă vreme? Pe vecie. Ebr. lanesach (vezi comentariul la 1Samuel 15,29). 5:21 Întoarce-ne la Tine, Doamne, şi ne vom întoarce! Dă-ne iarăşi zile ca cele de odinioară! Întoarce-ne. Literal, ,,adu-ne înapoi”, ,,fă să ne întoarcem”, de unde ,,refă-ne”. Aceasta este totuşi mult mai mult decât o rugăciune de scăpare din robie. Ieremia de repetate ori a folosit acelaşi fel de vorbire şi pentru restaurarea pământească, şi pentru cea spirituală (Ieremia 3,1.12; 31,16-21). Aici este scos în evidenţă aptul că numai Dumnezeu poate să repună în favoarea divină pe păcătosul pierdut, numai El poate să acorde harul, care face cu putinţă ca un păcătos să se pocăiască, să se ,,întoarcă” la El (vezi Fapte 5,31; Romani 2,4). 5:22 Să ne fi lepădat Tu de tot oare, şi să Te fi mâniat Tu pe noi peste măsură de mult? Lepădat de tot? Vorbirea ebraică poate fi tradusă aici şi ca o întrebare plângătoare: ,,Dar ne-ai lepădat Tu de tot?” Iehova nu l-a lepădat de tot pe Iuda. Făgăduinţele de restaurare pe care însuşi Ieremia le-a proclamat sunt în mare număr (Ieremia 16,13-15; 27,21.22; 30,5-24; 33,7-9; Plângeri 3,22.31.32). Comentariile lui Ellen G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
