40:1 Domnul, a vorbit lui Iov, şi a zis: A vorbit. [A răspuns, KJV]. Versetele 1-5 ale acestui capitol marchează un scurt interludiu în discursul lui Dumnezeu către Iov. Pare că Dumnezeu îi dă lui Iov un prilej să capitulez total în punctul acesta. 40:2 Eşti încredinţat acum tu, care vorbeşti împotriva Celui Atotputernic? Tu care mustri pe Dumnezeu, mai ai vreun răspuns de dat? Vorbeşti împotriva. Întrebarea lui Dumnezeu către Iov se învârteşte în jurul a patru verbe: "vorbeşti împotrivă" "înveţi" [KJV], "mustri", "ai răspuns de dat". Iov auzise întrebările răscolitoare din cap. 38 şi 39. Acum i se pune lui întrebarea. Poate el, căutătorul de greşeli, care vorbeşte împotrivă, să înveţe pe Dumnezeul a toată natura? Răspunsul pe care-l va da Iov este previzibil datorită revelaţiilor din cele două capitole precedente. Iov este provocat pe un ton critic să-şi apere străduinţele de a-L învăţa pe Dumnezeu. Satana prezisese că Iov Îl va blestema pe Dumnezeu. El nu făcuse lucrul acesta. Dar greşise încercând să spună lui Dumnezeu ce să facă. De asemenea Iov se arătase foarte dornic să discute cazul său cu Dumnezeu. El părea să creadă cumva că Dumnezeu nu prea înţelege. Acum, după ce Dumnezeu îi dăduse o nouă descoperire a înţelepciunii Sale, Iov e întrebat dacă se mai crede calificat să fie acuzatorul într-un proces împotriva lui Dumnezeu. 40:3 Iov a răspuns Domnului, şi a zis: Iov a răspuns. Iov anticipase o ocazie ca aceasta - o ocazie în care să înfăţişeze cazul său direct lui Dumnezeu. Aceasta este ocazia lui mult aşteptată. Ce va face cu ea? 40:4 Iată, eu sunt prea mic; ce să-Ţi răspund? Îmi pun mâna la gură. Sunt prea mic.[Ticălos, KJV]. În loc să spună: "Sunt nevinovat", aşa cum avusese de gând să spună el, răspunde: "sunt un ticălos". Revelaţia lui Dumnezeu schimbase întreaga atitudine faţă de sine şi faţă de Dumnezeu. O convingere similară îi cuprinde pe toţi oamenii care ajung să-L evalueze corect pe Dumnezeu. Ce să-Ţi răspunde? Acel Iov care era atât de nerăbdător să prezinte cazul său lui Dumnezeu, n-are nici un răspuns. Mâna. Compară cu 21:5; 29:9. 40:5 Am vorbit odată, şi nu voi mai răspunde; de două ori, şi nu voi mai adăuga nimic. Nu voi mai răspunde. În acest verset Iov recunoaşte zădărnicia argumentelor sale. 40:6 Domnul a răspuns lui Iov din mijlocul furtunii, şi a zis: Domnul a răspuns. Pare că Iov avea nevoie de un plus de învăţătură. De la furtună se întoarce la glasul divin. Dacă scopul lui Dumnezeu ar fi fost să-l facă de ruşine pe Iov, El n-ar fi avut nevoie să mai spună ceva. Iov recunoscuse deja cât este de mic şi făgăduise să nu mai spună nimic. Dar scopul principal al lui Dumnezeu nu era de a pune în încurcătură pe Iov, ci de a-l aduce în situaţia să trăiască o nouă experienţă. 40:7 Încinge-ţi mijlocul ca un viteaz; ca Eu să te întreb, şi tu să Mă înveţi. Încinge-ţi mijlocul. Vezi la cap. 38:3. 40:8 Vrei să nimiceşti până şi dreptatea Mea? Şi să Mă osândeşti, ca să-ţi scoţi dreptatea? Să nimiceşti... dreptatea Mea? [...judecata Mea, KJV]. Vrei să susţii că nu am fost drept sau cinstit? Vrei să condamni purtarea Mea ca să te îndreptăţeşti pe tine? Iov ajunsese primejdios de aproape de acest moment. 40:9 Ai tu un braţ ca al lui Dumnezeu, şi un glas de tunet ca al Lui? Un braţ ca al lui Dumnezeu. Vezi Deuteronom 5:15; 7:19; Psalm 89:13; Isaia 51:9. Dumnezeu îi aminteşte lui Iov că nu e înţelept să osândească pe Dumnezeu, deoarece este atât de slab în comparaţie cu Dumnezeu. Iov nu poate nici să acţioneze, nici să vorbească într-un mod comparabil cu acela al lui Dumnezeu. 40:10 Împodobeşte-te cu măreţie şi mărime, îmbracă-te cu strălucire şi cu slavă! Măreţie. Versetul acesta numeşte patru atribute ale lui Dumnezeu: măreţia, mărimea, strălucirea şi slava (vezi Psalm 93:1; 104:1.2). Iov e provocat să se îmbrace cu aceste însuşiri, deoarece numai atunci ar fi la egalitate cu Dumnezeu, aşa încât să fie în stare să discute cu El în termeni comparabili. 40:11 Varsă-ţi valurile mâniei tale, şi doboară cu o privire pe cei trufaşi! Doboară. Iov e provocat să vadă ce poate face cu privire la călcarea de lege şi la călcătorii de lege. 40:12 Smereşte cu o privire pe cei trufaşi, zdrobeşte pe loc pe cei răi, Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 40:13 ascunde-i pe toţi împreună în ţărână, înveleşte-le faţa în întuneric! Înveleşte-le faţa. Aceasta s-ar putea referi la un vechi obicei legat de cei morţi. Se ştie că la conservarea mumiilor, întregul corp era învelit, inclusiv faţa. 40:14 Şi atunci voi aduce şi Eu lauda puterii dreptei tale. Lauda puterii dreptei tale. [te poate mântui, KJV]. Când Iov va putea prelua însuşirile lui Dumnezeu, când va doborî pe cei mândri şi pe cei nelegiuiţi, când va putea să bage în mormânt pe făcătorii de rele, atunci Dumnezeu va recunoaşte că el e în stare să se ajute pe sine. 40:15 Uită-te la hipopotamul, căruia i-am dat viaţă ca şi ţie! El mănâncă iarbă ca boul. Hipopotamul. [Behemot, KJV]. Numele acesta [în KJV] este o transliterare a cuvântului ebraic. Este forma de plural a cuvântului ebraic behemah, tradus "vite" (Genesa 1:24.25 etc) sau dobitoace (Genesa 8:20; 36:6 etc). Pare că aici e folosit ca un plural de întărire, cu referire la un mamut. Cei mai mulţi autori consideră că termenul se referă la hipopotam. Totuşi, alţii îl aplică la (1) elefant; (2) anumite specii dispărute; (3) o reprezentare emblematică. Ca şi ţie. Dumnezeu era Creatorul atât al acestei vietăţi, cât şi al lui Iov. Mănâncă iarbă. Animalul la care se face referire sub numele de behemah era probabil ierbivor. 40:16 Uită-te ce tărie are în coapse, şi ce putere are în muşchii pântecelui său! Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 40:17 Îşi îndoaie coada tare ca un cedru, şi vinele coapselor lui sunt întreţesute. Ca un cedru. Codiţa elefantului nu corespunde cu descrierea aceasta. Coada hipopotamului e groasă, scurtă şi musculoasă. 40:18 Oasele lui sunt ca nişte ţevi de aramă, mădularele lui sunt ca nişte drugi de fier. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 40:19 El este cea mai mare dintre lucrările lui Dumnezeu. Cel ce l-a făcut l-a înzestrat cu o suliţă. Cea mai mare. [Principală, KJV]. Ebr. re'shith. Cuvântul poate să însemne prima ca vârstă sau în rang. Aici se aplică probabil ultima. L-a înzestrat cu o suliţă. [sabia să se apropie de el, KJV]. Propoziţia aceasta se poate traduce: "Cel ce l-a făcut, l-a înzestrat cu sabia lui". "Sabie", "suliţă" pot fi luate ca referindu-se la dinţii ascuţiţi ai hipopotamului, despre care se spune că sunt foarte eficienţi atât la mâncare, cât şi în apărare. Traducerea KJV dă ideea că numai acela care a făcut pe behemot poate să-l omoare. 40:20 El îşi găseşte hrana în munţi, unde se joacă toate fiarele câmpului. Munţii. Dealurile de pe cele două maluri ale râului - dacă behemotul este hipopotamul (vezi la v. 15). Altfel, tabloul ar fi acela al unei fiare care cutreieră munţii (vezi Psalm 104:14). 40:21 Se culcă sub lotus, în mijlocul trestiilor şi mlaştinilor. Lotus. [Copaci umbroşi, KJV]. Ebr. şe'elim, considerat a fi un fel de lotus. Behemotul pare că era un animal de apă. 40:22 Desişul lotusului îl acoperă cu umbra lui, sălciile pârâului îl înconjoară. Sălciile. Aceasta e încă o descriere a vieţii acvatice. 40:23 Dacă se întâmplă ca râul să iasă din matcă, el nu fuge: chiar de s-ar năpusti Iordanul în gâtlejul lui, el ar rămâne liniştit. Râul să iasă din matcă. [Iată, el bea un râu, KJV]. LXX traduce aici: "Dacă ar fi o inundaţie, el n-ar observa-o". Tabloul este al unui animal atât de obişnuit cu apa încât nu e tulburat de inundaţii sau de râuri repezi. Iordanul. Folosit aici probabil cu sensul de râu mare. 40:24 Crezi că-l poţi prinde lovindu-l în faţă? Sau crezi că-i vei putea străpunge nasul cu ajutorul laţurilor? În faţă. Această primă parte poate fi tradusă: "El îl ia în ochii săi [adică în vederea sa]." |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
