24:1 Domnul mi-a arătat două coşuri cu smochine, puse înaintea Templului Domnului, după ce Nebucadneţar, împăratul Babilonului, strămutase din Ierusalim şi dusese în Babilon, pe Ieconia, fiul lui Ioiachim, împăratul lui Iuda, pe căpeteniile lui Iuda, pe lemnari şi fierari. Mi-a arătat. [,,Mă făcu să văd,” trd. Nitz.; ,,Mă făcu să văd această vedenie,” trd. G.Gal.]. Vezi Ier 1,11-13; Zah 1,8. Nebucadneţar. Vezi la cap. 21,2. Ieconia. Vezi la cap. 22,24. Contextul vrea să spună că vedenia a venit la scurtă vreme după ce Ioiachim a fost luat rob (597 în.Hr.), posibil înainte de sfârşitul anului. Căpetenii. [,,Mai marii,” trd. Nitz.; ,,Dregătorii,” trd. G.Gal.]. Conducătorii lui Iuda (vezi cap. 27,30). Lemnari şi fierari. [,,Meşteşugari şi făurari,” trd. G.Gal.]. Literal, ,,artizani şi făurari,” (vezi 2Rg 24,14). Ducerea acestor meşteşugari iscusiţi a restrâns posibilitatea de a face arme sau adăposturi (vezi la 1Sa 13,19), şi neîndoios că a înzestrat pe Nebucadneţar cu un plus de meşteşugari iscusiţi pentru construirea măreţelor clădiri pe care el le ridica în Babilon. 24:2 Unul din coşuri avea smochine foarte bune, ca smochinele care se coc întâi, iar celălalt coş avea smochine foarte rele, care nu se puteau mânca de rele ce erau. Se coc întâi. De obicei smochinele se culegeau la începutul lui august. Cele care erau ,,cele dintâi roade” (Osea 9,10), ,,poamele de vară” (Mica 7,1, G.Gal.), ,,smochină timpurie” (Isa 28,4), erau socotite ca o deosebită delicatesă. Foarte rele. Aceste smochine nu puteau fi mâncate, poate fiindcă erau stricate sau erau de un soi cu gust rău. 24:3 Domnul mi-a zis: Ce vezi, Ieremio? Eu am răspuns: Nişte smochine! Smochinele cele bune sunt foarte bune, iar cele rele sunt foarte rele şi, de rele ce sunt, nu se pot mânca. Ce vezi? Întrebarea urmărea să întipărească în mintea lui Ieremia însemnătatea simbolurilor. 24:4 Cuvântul Domnului mi-a vorbit astfel: Cuvântul Domnului. Se vede că profetului i s-a dat un oarecare răgaz până ce ,,cuvântul Domnului i-a vorbit,” spre a reflecta asupra celor ce văzuse, deşi intervalul trebuie să fi fost foarte scurt. 24:5 Aşa vorbeşte Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel: Cum deosebeşti tu aceste smochine bune, aşa voi deosebi Eu, ca să le dau îndurare, pe prinşii de război ai lui Iuda, pe care i-am trimis din locul acesta în ţara Haldeilor; Cum deosebeşti tu aceste smochine bune. [,,Ca aceste smochine bune,” KJV; ,,Precum aceste smochine sunt bune,” trd. Nitz.; ,,Precum te uiţi cu jind la smochinele bune,” trd. G.Gal.]. ,,Prinşii de război” urmau să aibă o soartă mai bună decât care rămăseseră (vezi la vers. 6). Ei se arătau dispuşi să primească acea cale rânduită de Dumnezeu chiar dacă aceasta însemna robia lor. 24:6 Îi voi privi cu un ochi binevoitor, şi-i voi aduce înapoi în ţara aceasta: îi voi aşeza şi nu-i voi mai nimici, îi voi sădi şi nu-i voi mai smulge. Ochi binevoitor. Din punct de vedere material şi economic, starea iudeilor în Babilon pe vremea reîntoarcerii din robie era mult mai bună decât aceea de sclavi sau prinşi de război (vezi Ier 29,4-7.28; comp. Eze 2,1.64-70). Cărţile Ezra şi Neemia arată favoarea binevoitoare de care s-au bucurat prinşii din Iuda sub monarhii persani. Experienţa lui Daniel şi a tovarăşilor lui dovedeşte cât de sus se puteau ridica evreii în cercurile de guvernământ. Într-adevăr din pricina acestei mulţumitoare stări de lucruri mulţi din prinşii iudei nu s-au întors în ţara lor de baştină când li s-a dat această ocazie. Însă adevărata bunăvoinţă sau adevăratul bine pe care Dumnezeu îl avea în gând pentru prinşii de război era restabilirea lor în Palestina şi deplina lor restatornicire în privilegiile legământului. 24:7 Le voi da o inimă ca să înţeleagă că Eu sunt Domnul. Ei vor fi poporul Meu, iar Eu voi fi Dumnezeul lor, dacă se vor întoarce la Mine cu toată inima lor. Voi fi Dumnezeul lor. Într-o oarecare măsură acest lucru s-a împlinit în istoria postexilică a iudeilor, aşa cum arată faptul că niciodată după aceea, ei nu au mai fost închinatori la idoli. Captivitatea i-a curăţat efectiv de toate tendinţele în această direcţie. Totuşi, făgăduinţa a adus după sine restaurarea totală a privilegiilor legamântului. 24:8 Şi ca smochinele cele rele care, de rele ce sunt, nu se pot mânca, zice Domnul, aşa voi face să ajungă Zedechia, împăratul lui Iuda, căpeteniile lui, şi rămăşiţa Ierusalimului, cei ce au rămas în ţara aceasta şi cei ce locuiesc în ţara Egiptului. Cei ce au rămas în ţara aceasta. Vezi la vers. 5. Istoria ulterioară descoperă că cei rămaşi înapoi o duseseră mult mai rău decât cei ce fuseseră duşi robi (vezi la vers. 9, 10). În ţara Egiptului. Cei care trăiau în Egipt neîndoios aveau să împărtăşească soarta celor care mai târziu fugiseră din ţară (vezi cap. 44,26-30). 24:9 Îi voi face de pomină, o pricină de nenorocire pentru toate împărăţiile pământului, de ocară, de batjocură, de râs, şi de blestem, în toate locurile unde îi voi izgoni. Îi voi face de pomină. [,,Îi voi da să fie îndepărtaţi,” KJV; ,,Şi-i voi da pildă înfricoşată de nenorocire,” trd. G.Gal.]. Adică, experienţa tristă a lui Iuda va umple de groază alte împărăţii. 24:10 Voi trimite în ei sabia, foametea şi ciuma, până vor pieri din ţara pe care le-o dădusem lor şi părinţilor lor. Sabia. Vezi la cap. 14,12. Din ţara pe care le-o dădusem. Culminarea pedepsirii celor neascultători este deplina îndepărtare din ţara moştenirii lor, fie aceasta prin exil, fugă sau moarte. Mulţi dintre evreii care rămăseseră în Iudeea după cea de-a treia deportare în Babilon în 586 în.Hr., au fugit de bună voie în Egipt după omorârea lui Ghedalia, câteva luni mai târziu. Eu au făcut aceasta în ciuda avertizării date de Ieremia că o asemenea faptă urma să ruineze însuşi scopul care o determina. Teama de o suferinţă ulterioară în urma acţiunilor lui Nebucadneţar (vezi la cap. 4,2). Nu e deloc de mirare că Dumnezeu înfăţişa pe aceşti oameni striaţi ca pe nişte ,,smochine rele.” |

Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
