14:1 Întoarce-te, Israele, la Domnul, Dumnezeul tău! Căci ai căzut prin nelegiuirea ta. Întoarce-te. Capitolul 14 constituie un apogeu corespunzător pentru solia lui Osea. Profetul adresează un ultim apel poporului său să-şi părăsească nelegiuirea şi să se întoarcă la Domnul. Încă nu era prea târziu. Dar momentul prielnic se depărta cu repeziciune. Norii războiului începuseră să întunece orizontul răsăritean. Asiria era la zenitul puterii ei, iar ambiţiile sale imperialiste aveau să înghită în curând naţiunea ahtiată după idoli, îmbătată de vicii, a lui Israel. Întrucât lucrarea profetică a lui Osea s-a extins până la domnia lui Ezechia (cap. 1,1) iar căderea Samariei a avut loc în anul al VI-lea al domniei acestui rege (2Regi 18,9.10), este posibil ca această solie finală să fi fost dată cu numai puţin timp înainte de ziua finală a nenorocirii. Întrucât diferitele solii ale cărţii nu sunt datate, este imposibil să fixăm cu precizie datele lor exacte. Ai căzut. Literal ,,te-ai poticnit”. 14:2 Aduceţi cu voi cuvinte de căinţă, şi întoarceţi-vă la Domnul. Spuneţi-I: Iartă toate nelegiuirile, primeşte-ne cu bunăvoinţă, şi Îţi vom aduce, în loc de tauri, lauda buzelor noastre. Aduceţi cu voi. Probabil o aluzie la prevederea legii mozaice ca ,,să nu vii cu mâinile goale înainte Mea” (Exod 23,15). Poporul s-ar fi putut aştepta ca Domnul să ceară jertfe de dobitoace sau daruri materiale ca un însoţitor al întoarcerii lor. Dar profetul nu cere nimic din acestea. O simplă solicitare a îndurării însoţită de o pocăinţă şi o mărturisire venite din inimă este tot ceea ce cere Domnul (vezi comentariul la Psalmi 32,1). Toate nelegiuirile. Păcatul faţă de care se face o deplină pocăinţă poate fi iertat cu mărinimie. O dată iertat nu mai este pus în socoteala păcătosului (vezi comentariul la Psalmi 32,2). Primeşte cu bunăvoinţă. Literal, ,,primeşte tu bun”, probabil o cerere ca Dumnezeu să primească drept ,,bună” mărturisirea celor pocăiţi. Tauri. Ebr. parim ,,tauri tineri”. Lăsarea la o parte a unei consoane duce la termenul ,,roade”. Această exprimare are sprijinul LXX şi al traducerii siriace şi se potriveşte bine în context. Dacă este reţinut termenul parim, sensul pare să fie că drept tauri de jertfă, oamenii îşi aduc buzele. Există o posibilă aluzie la Osea 14,2, în Evrei 13,15 în expresia ,,rodul buzelor”. Totuşi, expresia este în acord într-o mai mare măsură cu LXX decât cu textul ebraic. 14:3 Asirianul nu ne va scăpa, nu vrem să mai încălecăm pe cai, şi nu vrem să mai zicem lucrării mâinilor noastre: Dumnezeul nostru! Căci la Tine găseşte milă orfanul. Asirianul. Poporul îşi ia un angajament cu privire la trei din cele mai importante păcate ale lor. Cu privire la aşteptarea ajutorului din partea Asiriei, vezi cap. 5,13; 7,11. Cu privire la încrederea în caii şi carele Egiptului, vezi Osea 7,11; comp. Isaia 31,1. Cu privire la păcatul idolatriei, vezi Osea 13,2; comp. Isaia 42,17. 14:4 Le voi vindeca vătămarea adusă de neascultarea lor, îi voi iubi cu adevărat! Căci mânia Mea s-a abătut de la ei! Le voi vindeca. Dumnezeu răspunde la rugăciunea pocăinţei. Apostazia este văzută aici ca o boală. Numai Medicul divin poate tămădui bolile sufletului (vezi Ieremia 8,22; Matei 9,12). Vătămarea. Ebr. meshubah, de la rădăcina shub, ,,a se întoarce”, ,,a se întoarce înapoi”, de unde ,,întoarcere înapoi”. Traducerea mai bună ar fi, prin urmare, ,,apostazie”. Îi voi iubi cu adevărat. Când păcatele sunt iertate şi neprihănirea lui Hristos îl acoperă pe păcătos, atunci, oricât de păcătos ar fi fost acesta, este primit înaintea lui Dumnezeu ca şi cum nu ar fi păcătuit niciodată. Păcatele sale anterioare nu mai sunt cu nici un chip ţinute împotriva lui, iar Dumnezeu îl iubeşte la fel cum Îşi iubeşte propriul Fiu (vezi SC 67). 14:5 Voi fi ca roua pentru Israel; el va înflori ca crinul, şi va da rădăcini ca Libanul. Ca roua. În ţările unde ploaia este puţină, roua ajută la înviorarea plantelor lipsite. În felul acesta roua devine un simbol al rodniciei, iar lipsa acesteia un simbol al secetei şi al pustiirii. Astfel Dumnezeu va deveni sursa rodniciei spirituale a lui Israel. După cum roua vine noapte după noapte, şi Dumnezeu oferă zi de zi o măsură suficientă de har pentru ziua respectivă. Înflori ca crinul. O ilustraţie care sugerează însuşiri ca frumuseţe, curăţie, parfum şi rapiditatea creşterii (vezi Matei 6,28.29). Rădăcini. Rădăcinile crinului sunt slabe şi prin urmare nu constituie o descriere corespunzătoare a stabilităţii făgăduite a lui Efraim. Ca Libanul. Fie cedrii Libanului, fie munţii Libanului. Printr-o schimbare de consoană, spunând libneh, în loc de libanon, RSV zice, ,,ca un plop”. 14:6 Ramurile lui se vor întinde; măreţia lui va fi ca a măslinului, şi miresmele lui ca ale Libanului. Ramurile. Ebr. yoneqoth, ,,lăstari”. Ca a măslinului. Compară Ieremia 11,16. Măslinul este considerat regele pomilor fructiferi din Palestina. El era deosebit de valoros. Uleiul lui era folosit ca hrană şi dădea lumină. Roadele lui, atât de îmbelşugate şi de folositoare, verdele lui, atât de splendid şi frunzişul lui dăinuitor de proaspăt, ofereau o imagine vie a perspectivei glorioase a lui Efraim. 14:7 Iarăşi vor locui la umbra lui, iarăşi vor da viaţă grâului, vor înflori ca via, şi vor avea faima vinului din Liban. Umbra lui. Dacă cel care vorbeşte este tot Iehova, aici ar trebui să zică ,,umbra mea” (vezi RSV), cu toate că o atare traducere implică o uşoară schimbare a ebraicii. Pe de altă parte, este posibil ca aici să vorbească profetul, caz în care schimbarea persoanei este justificată. Iarăşi. Sau ,,Se vor întoarce” [KJV]. Efraim ar fi putut atinge glorioasa perspectivă descrisă aici. Prin Osea, Domnul S-a străduit să facă perspectiva să apară cât mai atrăgătoare posibil în speranţa că invitaţia nu va fi refuzată. Apelul constituie un apogeu nimerit al cărţii. 14:8 Ce mai are Efraim a face cu idolii? Îl voi asculta şi-l voi privi, voi fi pentru el ca un chiparos verde: de la Mine îţi vei primi rodul. Ce mai are a face. Sau ,,O, Efraim, ce am eu a face cu idolii?” (RSV). Îi voi asculta. Sau ,,L-am ascultat” [KJV]. Verbul poate fi privit ca exprimând o acţiune repetată aşa cum se poate exprima în propoziţia: ,,Eu sunt cel care aude”. LXX are o traducere diferită pentru această propoziţie şi cea următoare: ,,Eu l-am asuprit şi eu îl voi întări.” Chiparos. Ebr. berosh, probabil chiparosul. Unii îl identifică pe berosh cu ienupărul fenician. 14:9 Cine este înţelept, să ia seama la aceste lucruri! Cine este priceput, să le înţeleagă! Căci căile Domnului sunt drepte; şi cei drepţi umblă pe ele, dar cei răzvrătiţi cad pe ele. Cine este înţelept. Osea îşi încheie profeţia cu apelul ca poporul său să acorde atenţia cuvenită tuturor cuvintelor pe care Domnul le-a rostit prin el. Pentru o definiţie a adevăratei înţelepciuni, vezi comentariul la Proverbe 1,2. Umblă pe ele. Problema a fost astfel pusă clar înaintea lor. Două direcţii le stăteau înainte. Ei puteau ori să meargă mai departe pe căile lor rele şi să culeagă rezultatele inevitabile ori să se întoarcă din toată inima la Dumnezeu şi să obţină mântuirea. Căile Domnului, fiind drepte şi de neschimbat, se vor împlini indiferent de ceea ce ar putea face oamenii (Maleahi 3,6; Iacov 1,17). Dacă sunt pierduţi, vina rămâne asupra lor, pentru că Dumnezeu i-a confruntat cu toate îndemnurile de a urma calea cea dreaptă (Deuteronom 30,15-20).COMENTARIILE LUI ELLEN G. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
