11:1 Aruncă-ţi pâinea pe ape, şi după multă vreme o vei găsi iarăşi! Aruncă-ţi. Ebr. shalach, "trimite". Pâinea. Interpretarea tradiţională este de punere în practică a binefacerii sau bunătăţii faţă de alţii, care va fi răsplătită într-o zi. O altă aplicaţie posibilă este legată în speculaţii comerciale şi afaceri înţelepte de tot felul. Pe ape. Literal, "pe feţele apelor". O vei găsi. Compară cu Luca 16,9. Indiferent la ce s-ar referi imaginea cu "pâinea", învăţătura este aceea de a lucra într-un spirit de dărnicie şi fără să se aştepte dobânzi imediate. 11:2 Împarte-o în şapte şi chiar în opt, căci nu ştii ce nenorocire poate da peste pământ. Împarte-o. Poate un sfat adresat cuiva de diversificare a activităţile sale comerciale şi nu de limitare la un singur domeniu, de a-şi investi capitalul în mai multe iniţiative. Din punct de vedere etic, sugerează binefacere faţă de câţi mai mulţi cu putinţă. Cele două numere "şapte" şi "opt," folosite împreună, sugerează un număr nedefinit, cu tendinţă spre mai mult decât spre mai puţin. Ca exemple de asemenea enumerări vezi Iov 33,14; Psalm 62,11; Proverbe 30,15. 18.21; Isaia 17,6; Mica 5,5. Nenorocire. [Rău, KJV]. Omul nu poate să spună ce nenorocire stă să vină, fie inundaţie, cutremur, război sau eşec în afaceri. 11:3 Când se umplu norii de ploaie, o varsă pe pământ. Ori încotro ar cădea copacul, fie spre miazăzi, fie spre miazănoapte, în locul unde cade, acolo rămâne. Când se umplu norii. [Dacă norii, KJV]. Afirmaţia ar fi de preferat să spună: "Dacă norii sunt plini, ei varsă ploaia pe pământ". Natura lucrează în ascultare de legi. Tot astfel există legi în sfera morală. Ar cădea copacul. Nimeni nu poate să spună în ce direcţie va cădea un copac în timpul unei furtuni puternice. Omul trebuie să se deprindă să fie pregătit pentru furtună cât se poate mai bine şi apoi să se aplece odată ea decât să încerce să o ţină sub pe ea. Interpretări fanteziste care fac din acest verset un comentariu despre moarte şi la soarta omului sunt fără fundament valabil. Acolo rămâne. Orice necaz ar veni, omul nu trebuie să cedeze, ci să ia lucrurile aşa cum sunt şi să meargă înainte plin de curaj. Unele evenimente depăşesc puterea de influenţă a omului. Viaţa are multe evenimente neprevăzute, dar acestea nu trebuie să fie transformate în ocazii de disperare şi de pierdere a hotărârii. 11:4 Cine se uită după vânt, nu va semăna, şi cine se uită după nori, nu va secera. Cine se uită. Dacă un om se preocupă excesiv de mult de starea vremii şi cere cu insistenţă şi exactitate condiţiile cele mai bune înainte de a porni a lucru, munca lui agricolă va avea de suferit. Omul nu poate aştepta o zi perfectă sau condiţii perfecte ca abia atunci să încerce să treacă la lucru. Unele riscuri trebuie să fie asumate. 11:5 Cum nu ştii care este calea vântului, nici cum se fac oasele în pântecele femeii însărcinate, tot aşa nu cunoşti nici lucrarea lui Dumnezeu, care le face pe toate. Vântului. [duh, KJV]. Tradus din acelaşi cuvânt care e redat "vânt" în v. 4, dar probabil mai bine e înţeles aici ca "duh". Oasele. Creşterea şi dezvoltarea scheletului osos al fătului este un motiv de uimire (Iov 10,8-11; Psalm 139,13-17). Lucrarea lui Dumnezeu. Vezi la cap. 7,13. 11:6 Dimineaţa, seamănă-ţi sămânţa, şi până seara nu lăsa mâna să ţi se odihnească, fiindcă nu ştii ce va izbuti, aceasta sau aceea, sau dacă amândouă sunt deopotrivă de bune. Dimineaţa. Evreii erau un popor agricol, iar ilustraţiile din lucrările agricole trebuie să fie înţelese ca reprezentând afaceri în general. Nu lăsa mâna să ţi se odihnească. [Nu-ţi retrage mâna, KJV]. Cu toate că nu cunoaştem viitorul, aceasta nu îndreptăţeşte lenea. Succesul nu vine la întâmplare. Este nevoie de pregătire sârguincioasă şi completă, la început şi mai târziu. Izbuti. De la acelaşi cuvânt-rădăcină tradus "potrivit" [bine, KJV] în Estera 8,5. Amândouă. Nesiguranţa ar trebui să fie un îndemn în plus la sârguinţă, nu la inactivitate. Experimentarea constantă şi efortul sunt preludiul succesului. 11:7 Dulce este lumina şi o plăcere pentru ochi să vadă soarele. Dulce este lumina. Numai la lumină este posibil să apreciem frumuseţile lumii naturale, să lucrăm bine sau să călătorim în siguranţă. Urmând sfatul dat în v. 6, omul poate ajunge la o experienţă mai plină şi mai satisfăcătoare în viaţă. O plăcere. A trăi este bine. A fi în stare să faci faţă îndatoririlor zilei e ceva plăcut pentru orice persoană normală. Soarele este folosit ca simbol al grijii ocrotitoare a lui Dumnezeu în Psalm 84,11 şi Maleahi 4,2. 11:8 Deci, dacă un om trăieşte mulţi ani, să se bucure, în toţi anii aceştia, şi să se gândească ce multe vor fi zilele de întuneric. Tot ce va veni este deşertăciune. Să se bucure. [Şi se bucură, KJV]. Mai bine "să se bucure." Conjuncţia "şi" [KJV] nu e în ebraică. Viaţa este mult prea scurtă şi perioada de timp rânduită omului trebuie să fie întrebuinţată cu folos. Dacă cineva e binecuvântat cu viaţă lungă, timpul ar trebui să fie folosit în întregime în mod profitabil şi fericit. Zilele de întuneric. Incidentele potrivnice ale vieţii ar trebui să nu fie uitate pentru valoarea lor disciplinară. Izbăvirea din primejdie sau pagubă ar trebui să fie apreciată în mod corespunzător. Unii comentatori aplică expresia "întuneric" la mormânt citând Psalm 88,12; 143,3; cf. Iov 10,21.22. 11:9 Bucură-te, tinere, în tinereţea ta, fii cu inima veselă cât eşti tânăr, umblă pe căile alese de inima ta şi plăcute ochilor tăi; dar să ştii că pentru toate acestea te va chema Dumnezeu la judecată. Bucură-te. Sunt recomandabile o dispoziţie veselă şi o atitudine voioasă faţă de viaţă. Sunt bucurii care fac ca viaţa să aibă valoare. Sfatul lui Solomon nu e o invitaţie la exces, ci la o apreciere a binecuvântărilor vieţii. Tinereţea. Prima apariţie a acestui cuvânt în v. 9, ebr. yalduth, se referă la tinereţe, al doilea, ebr. bachur, la floarea vârstei. Primul mai apare în Psalm 110,3, al doilea în Eclesiast 12,1. Inima ta. Toate dorinţele şi nevoile legitime trebuie să fie împlinite, dar desfrâul şi satisfacerea peste măsură a plăcerii trebuie să fie osândite şi evitate. Judecată. Ce gând serios! Omul nu poate să evite să-L întâlnească pe Judecătorul său. Nu-i va folosi la nimic dacă se preface că nu urmează să facă faţă unei judecăţi, deoarece Dumnezeu nu-Şi va opri mâna (vezi Maleahi 3,5; cf. Apocalipsa 20,11-15). 11:10 Goneşte orice necaz din inima ta, şi depărtează răul din trupul tău; căci tinereţea şi zorile vieţii sunt trecătoare. Necaz. [Întristare, K JV]. Mai degrabă "supărare" sau "provocare" [KJV] (vezi Deuteronom 32,19; 1 Regi 15,30; 21,22; Ezechiel 20,28), "ocări" [mânie, KJV] (Deuteronom 32,27; Psalm 85,4; Proverbe 12,16; Eclesiast 7,9) sau "suferinţe" (Psalm 10,14). Forma verbală a cuvântului este în general tradusă "a aţâţa la mânie". Răul. Ceea ce aduce vătămare trupului, o referire mai ales la excesele morale care duc la degradare fizică (vezi 1 Corinteni 6,18.19; 2 Corinteni 7,1). Tinereţea. [Copilăria, KJV]. De la acelaşi cuvânt ebraic tradus "tinereţe" în prima parte a v. 9. Zorile vieţii. [Tinereţe, KJV]. Ebr. shacharuth, un cuvânt folosit în forma aceasta doar aici. S ar putea să provină dintr-o rădăcină care înseamnă "negru" (vezi Cântarea Cântărilor 5,11). Sensul cuvântului shacharuth e nesigur, dar sugestia anterioară l-ar face să se refere la zorile vieţii, când un om are un cap cu părul negru. Unii cred că shacharuth poate fi derivat de la shachan "[lumina roz care precede] zorile." Astfel, shacharuth ar însemna aici "zorile [vieţii]". Trecătoare. Atât tinereţea cât şi zorile vieţii trec repede. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
