10:1 Roboam s-a dus la Sihem, căci tot Israelul venise la Sihem să-l facă împărat. Roboam s-a dus. Capitolul 10 tratează revolta lui Ieroboam. Raportul paralel este 1 Regi 12,1-19. Deosebirile dintre cele două rapoarte sunt puţine şi neînsemnate. Sihem. Cu privire la motivul alegerii de către Roboam a cetăţii Sihem ca loc pentru încoronarea lui, vezi la 1 Regi 12,1. 10:2 Când a auzit lucrul acesta, Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat, era în Egipt, unde fugise de împăratul Solomon; şi s-a întors din Egipt. Era în Egipt. Cronicarul nu menţionase anterior fuga lui Ieroboam în Egipt (vezi la 1 Regi 11,26-40) şi de aceea probabil el n-a spus că Ieroboam "era tot în Egipt", aşa cum a precizat scriitorul cărţii Regi. 10:3 Au trimis să-l cheme. Atunci Ieroboam şi tot Israelul au venit la Roboam şi i-au vorbit aşa: Au trimis să-l cheme. [A trimis şi l-a chemat, KJV]. Unii consideră că aceasta înseamnă că el a fost chemat nu din Egipt, întrucât se reîntorsese deja (vezi v. 2), ci din Efraim (vezi la 1 Regi 12,3). El a fost chemat la Sihem, unde se adunaseră seminţiile pentru a analiza posibilitatea de a-l face rege pe Roboam. 10:4 Tatăl tău ne-a îngreuiat jugul: acum uşurează această aspră robie şi jugul greu pe care l-a pus peste noi tatăl tău. Şi îţi vom sluji. Aspră robie. Poporul avea motive îndreptăţite să se plângă, deoarece planul lărgit de construcţii publice al lui Solomon pusese o povară grea de biruri şi îi obligase să se înroleze în detaşamente de muncă obligatorie (1 Regi 5,13.14). Cererea era cu totul legitimă, de aceea atât dreptatea, cât şi prudenţa cereau ca noul rege să acorde atenţia cuvenită chestiunii care îi fusese prezentate. 10:5 El le-a zis: Întoarceţi-vă la mine după trei zile. Şi poporul a plecat. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:6 Împăratul Roboam a întrebat pe bătrânii care fuseseră cu tatăl său Solomon, în timpul vieţii lui, şi a zis: Ce mă sfătuiţi să răspund poporului acestuia? Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:7 Şi iată ce i-au zis ei: Dacă vei fi bun cu poporul acesta, dacă-i vei primi bine, şi dacă le vei vorbi cu bunăvoinţă, îţi vor sluji pe vecie. Dacă vei fi bun. Nu există regulă mai bună de conducere ca bunătatea. În familie, la şcoală, la magazin şi oriunde bunătatea încălzeşte inima şi face prieteni. Dacă Roboam ar fi tratat pe poporul său cu bunătate, arătându-le că în calitate de rege al lor avea misiune să le slujească şi să le poarte de grijă, le-ar fi câştigat inima şi şi-ar fi salvat regatul. 10:8 Dar Roboam a lăsat sfatul pe care i-l dădeau bătrânii, şi a întrebat pe tinerii care crescuseră cu el şi care-l înconjurau. Bătrânii. Înţelepciunea se înmulţeşte odată cu anii şi cu experienţa. Tinerii au nevoie de sfatul celor mai vârstnici şi cheamă necazul când dispreţuiesc sfatul perilor albi. 10:9 El le-a zis: Ce mă sfătuiţi să răspund poporului acestuia care-mi vorbeşte astfel: Uşurează jugul pe care l-a pus tatăl tău peste noi? Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:10 Şi iată ce i-au zis tinerii care crescuseră cu el: Aşa să vorbeşti poporului acestuia care ţi-a vorbit aşa: Tatăl tău ne-a îngreuiat jugul, iar tu uşurează-ni-l! să le vorbeşti aşa: Degetul meu cel mic este mai gros decât coapsele tatălui meu. Tinerii. Sfatul sfetnicilor tineri ai lui Roboam n-a venit din inimi bune sau din minţi luminate. Răspunsul pe care l-au propus ei era formulat în cuvinte aspre şi intransigente, care nu puteau face altceva decât să atragă răzbunarea şi răzvrătirea. 10:11 Acum, tatăl meu a pus peste voi un jug greu, dar eu îl voi face şi mai greu: tatăl meu v-a pedepsit cu bice, dar eu vă voi pedepsi cu scorpioane. Scorpioane. Aceste mici vietăţi cu ace ascuţite în coadă, care produc dureri violente, par să fie folosite aici ca simbol al unui bici prevăzut cu bucăţi ascuţite de metal, care făceau ca folosirea lui să fie deosebit de dureroasă şi nemiloasă. Dar verdictul istoriei a fost totdeauna opus. 10:12 Ieroboam şi tot poporul au venit la Roboam a treia zi, după cum le spusese împăratul: Întoarceţi-vă la mine peste trei zile. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:13 Împăratul le-a răspuns aspru. Împăratul Roboam a lăsat sfatul bătrânilor, Aspru. Regele n-a dovedit nici o urmă de respect faţă de sentimentele supuşilor săi şi n-a dat pe faţă spiritul lui Hristos, ci a vorbit ca un despot oriental nemilos. El a urmărit, fireşte, să dea un spectacol de forţă, dar de fapt a făcut o demonstraţie nereuşită de slăbiciune şi lipsă de înţelepciune. Cuvintele aspre produc fapte aspre, în timp ce cuvintele bune venite dintr-o inimă bună duc la supunere şi ascultare, la conlucrare şi calm. 10:14 şi le-a vorbit aşa, după sfatul tinerilor: Tatăl meu v-a îngreuiat jugul, dar eu îl voi îngreuia şi mai mult; tatăl meu v-a pedepsit cu bice, dar eu vă voi pedepsi cu scorpioane. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 10:15 Astfel împăratul n-a ascultat pe popor; căci aşa rânduise Dumnezeu, în vederea împlinirii cuvântului, pe care-l spusese Domnul prin Ahia din Silo lui Ieroboam, fiul lui Nebat. Dumnezeu. Vezi la cap. 11,4. 10:16 Când a văzut tot Israelul că împăratul nu-l ascultă, poporul a răspuns împăratului: Ce parte avem noi cu David? Noi n-avem nici o moştenire cu fiul lui Isai! La corturile tale, Israele! Acum, vezi-ţi de casă, Davide! Şi tot Israelul s-a dus în corturile lui. Nu-l ascultă. Regii înţelepţi au urechi care sunt receptive la glasul supuşilor lor. Când Roboam a preluat tronul, primul lui datorie ar fi fost să caute să cunoască nevoile poporului său şi să se străduiască să îndrepte greşeli anterioare. Prin lipsa lui de bunăvoinţă de a-şi pleca urechea, regele a iscat nesupunere şi s-a făcut răspunzător de răzvrătirea care a urmat. Fiul lui Isai. Numai cu puţini ani înainte, David fusese un erou naţional. Acum, din cauza nebuniei odraslei sale, numele lui era detestat în Israel, iar seminţiile din nord erau hotărâte să pornească pe propria lor cale, independenţi faţă de sud. De casă. De fapt, seminţiile ziceau: "Şi acum, David, vezi-ţi de treburile tale în propria ta ţară, iar noi ne vom vedea de treburile noastre". Acestea erau cuvinte de sfidare şi de răzvrătire. Zarurile fuseseră aruncate. De aici înainte casa lui David avea să domnească numai peste o parte din ţară, mai ales peste seminţia Iuda a lui David şi peste cea a lui Beniamin, în timp ce grosul seminţiilor urma să meargă pe propria lor cale, având proprii lui domnitori. 10:17 Copiii lui Israel, care locuiau în cetăţile lui Iuda, au fost singurii peste care a domnit Roboam. Cetăţile lui Iuda. Având în vedere că Roboam era din seminţia lui Iuda, era numai firesc ca, în împrejurări ca acestea, când celelalte seminţii renunţaseră la conducerea lui, propria sa seminţie să-i rămână credincios. Nu se ştie dacă Solomon scutise sau nu pe propria sa seminţie de o parte din impozitele grele şi de munca forţată pe care le-a aplicat poporului Israel ca întreg. Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
