13:1 David a ţinut sfat cu căpeteniile peste mii şi peste sute, cu toţi mai marii. David a ţinut sfat. Capitolul 13 se ocupă de transferarea chivotului de la Chiriat-Iearim în casa lui Obed-Edom şi este paralel cu 2 Samuel 6,1-11. Succesiunea evenimentelor relatate în Cronici nu e totdeauna aceeaşi cu cea din Samuel. Astfel, în Samuel, raportul despre întâlnirea lui David cu filistenii în valea Refaim (2 Samuel 5,22-25) precede raportul transferării chivotului (2 Samuel 6,1-11), în timp ce în Cronici vine după acesta (cap. 14,13-16). Cu căpeteniile. Înainte de a convoca o adunare generală a poporului (v. 5), David a ţinut un sfat cu conducătorii naţionali. Raportul din Samuel nu e atât de amănunţit. El nu menţionează sfatul preliminar, ci descrie adunarea generală (2 Samuel 6,1). 13:2 Şi David a zis întregii adunări a lui Israel: Dacă găsiţi cu cale, şi dacă lucrul acesta vine de la Domnul, Dumnezeul nostru, să trimitem în toate părţile la fraţii noştri care au rămas în toate ţinuturile lui Israel, şi la preoţi şi Leviţi în cetăţile şi împrejurimile lor, ca să se strângă la noi, Întregei adunări. Adică, în acest caz, reprezentanţii principali ai adunării, David a recunoscut "căpeteniile peste mii şi peste sute cu toţi mai marii" (v. 1) ca reprezentanţi ai poporului, urmând să fie consultaţi în probleme publice şi să se pronunţe în afaceri naţionale. Cari au rămas. Adică aceia care erau încă acasă, nefiind invitaţi la adunarea prezentă. 13:3 şi să aducem la noi chivotul Dumnezeului nostru, căci nu ne-am mai îngrijit de el de pe vremea lui Saul. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:4 Toată adunarea a hotărât să facă aşa, căci lucrul acesta a părut bun întregului popor. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:5 David a strâns pe tot Israelul, de la Şilhor în Egipt, până la intrarea Hamatului, ca să aducă din Chiriat-Iearim chivotul lui Dumnezeu. Tot Israelul. David a strâns 30,00 0 de oameni aleşi din toate seminţiile lui Israel (2 Samuel 6,1). Şilhor în Egipt. În anumite referiri (Isaia 23,3; Ieremia 2,18) Şilhor pare să desemneze Nilul. Dar în împrejurarea de faţă nu prea pare să fie cazul. Cuvântul shi-kor, "iazul lui Hor", apare în documente egiptene ca adunare la hotarul răsăritean al deltei, dar amplasarea exactă nu e cunoscută. Intrarea Hamatului. Vezi la Numeri 34,8; Iosua 13,5; 1 Regi 8,65. 13:6 Şi David, împreună cu tot Israelul, s-a suit la Baala, la Chiriat-Iearim, care este al lui Iuda, ca să ridice de acolo chivotul lui Dumnezeu, înaintea căruia este chemat Numele Domnului care stă între heruvimi. Şi David... s-a suit. În ce priveşte cele relatate de v. 6-14, vezi la 2 Samuel 6,2-11. Tot Israelul. Adică "tot poporul care era cu el" (2 Samuel 6,2). Baala. Alt nume pentru Chiriat-Iearim (Iosua 15,1-11.60; 18,14). Chivotul fusese dus în casa lui Abinadab, în Chiriat-Iearim, după revenirea lui de la filisteni (1 Samuel 6,21; 7,1-2). Între heruvimi. Compară cu 1 Samuel 4,4; 2 Samuel 6,2; Psalmi 80,1; Isaia 37,16. 13:7 Au pus într-un car nou chivotul lui Dumnezeu, pe care l-au luat din casa lui Abinadab: Uza şi Ahio cârmuiau carul. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:8 David şi tot Israelul jucau înaintea lui Dumnezeu cu toată puterea lor, cântând şi zicând din harfe, din lăute, din tobe, din chimvale şi din trâmbiţe. Verset ce nu a fost comentat. 13:9 Când au ajuns la aria lui Chidon, Uza a întins mâna să apuce chivotul, pentru că boii erau să-l răstoarne. A întins mâna. Chivotul era sfânt, aşa cum sfântă era şi prezenţa lui Dumnezeu. Se dăduseră instrucţiuni detaliate cu privire la chivot pentru ca aceia care aveau de-a face cu el "să trăiască şi să nu moară" (Numeri 4,19,20; cf. Numeri 1,51; 4,15; 7,9). 13:10 Domnul S-a aprins de mânie împotriva lui Uza, şi Domnul l-a lovit, pentru că întinsese mâna pe chivot. Uza a murit acolo înaintea lui Dumnezeu. A murit. Domnul a luat în consideraţie toţi factorii implicaţi. El ştia că Uza era un om păcătos, nesfânt. El avea pe conştiinţă păcate nemărturisite şi nu acorda atenţie suficientă sfinţeniei lui Dumnezeu şi gravităţii fărădelegii. Moartea acestei singure persoane urma să se dovedească o avertizare solemnă pentru mulţi şi în felul acesta avea să prevină judecăţile divine care altfel s-ar fi abătut asupra a mii de persoane (vezi PP 706; vezi mai multe la 2 Samuel 6,6). 13:11 David s-a mâniat că Domnul făcuse o spărtură, lovind pe Uza cu o asemenea pedeapsă. De aceea locul acesta a fost numit până în ziua de azi Pereţ-Uza. David s-a mâniat. [David s-a supărat, KJV]. Pentru că n-a înţeles de ce a acţionat Dumnezeu astfel, David şi-a permis să se supere din cauza purtării Domnului. El a pus la îndoială dreptatea lui Dumnezeu (vezi PP 705, 706; vezi la 2 Samuel 6,8). 13:12 David s-a temut de Dumnezeu în ziua aceea, şi a zis: Cum să aduc chivotul lui Dumnezeu la mine? David s-a temut. David s-a temut din cauza păcatului existent în propria sa viaţă. Fiindcă fusese martor al judecăţii evidente a lui Dumnezeu asupra lui Uza, s-a temut ca nu cumva vreo greşeală din propria sa viaţă să aducă şi asupra sa judecata divină. 13:13 David n-a tras chivotul la el în cetatea lui David, ci l-a dus în casa lui Obed-Edom din Gat. Obed-Edom. Obed-Edom din cap. 26,1-4 a fost un levit coreit, dar nu este sigur dacă el este personajul relatării prezente. "Din Gat" ar putea să însemne că era de origine din Gat-Rimon, o cetate levitică atribuită copiilor lui Chehat (Iosua 21,20,24). Chehatiţii aveau răspunderea de a purta chivotul (Numeri 4,15). Special note for ANDROID SmartPhones
I recommend to download PhoneMe emulator for Android from here.
Especially I recommend phoneME Advanced - Foundation Profile + MIDP High Resolution b168 rev20547 from here, or from here.
Then you have to build your application, to transfer the .jar and .jad files on your mobile phone and run using this nice emulator.
1. Install a Zip Utility from Android Market.
2. Install a File Manager from Android Market.
3. Download and install PhoneMe, as mentioned above.
4. Build your application by using Download Multilingual Service or Dynamic Download (zip).
5. Copy the zip file into your Android Phone and unzip the content in a folder, and then write down the path to the unzipped files and the name of the .jad file.
6. Launch PhoneMe from your smartphone.
7. Inside PhoneMe, write to the main window the path and the name to the .jad file, above mentioned. Will look something like: file:///mnt/sd/download/BiblePhone.jad and then press enter.
8. The application will be installed, and next a hyperlink will be available below the above mentioned textbox. On this way you can install as many of MIDP application you like on your Android Phone.
How to install the application in Java Mobile enabled phones
It is possible now to have the Holy Scriptures on your mobile phone and to read
it wherever you are due to the Mobile Information Device Profile (MIDP)
technology in 1.0 and 2.0 versions, developed for Java applications.
A good advice is to try in the beginning the MIDP 1.0 / 128 Kbytes version, and
progressively to advance to MIDP 2.0 and larger volumes (512 Kbytes or more).
The application is available for MIDP 2.0, MIDP 1.0. You have only to select one
table on the field MIDP2.0 or MIDP1.0, according to the desired Bible version.
Then, you shall make a click on the JAR (Java Archive) file in order to obtain
the software to be installed on your mobile phone.
I recommend you to start with STARTER(MIDP1.0old) edition, then to continue with
INTERMEDIATE(MIDP1.0), and in the end, if the mobile phone supports this thing,
to try to install the ADVANCED (MIDP2.0) edition. Also, start with 128 kbytes
volumes, continue with 512 kbytes, and at the end try the version in one file.
There are cases where the mobile phone requires so called JAD (Java Descriptor)
files. These JAD files has to be
uploaded, on this case, together with the desired JAR files(s).
There are different methods to download the applications in your mobile phone as
follows:
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
5. If none from the above cases are valid
Next, we shall examine each case in order to have a successfully installation of
the software.
1. Directly from Internet by using a WAP or GPRS connection
If your have Internet access on your mobile phone (e.g. WAP or GPRS), it is
enough to access
https://biblephone.intercer.net/wap/ from the browser of the mobile phone,
and to access the desired Bible version, and then to make an option about
MIDP1.0 or MIDP2.0, and finally to select the desired module (e.g. one or more).
After the last selection, the desired version will be downloaded on your mobile
phone.
Many phones have only this option for installing JAVA appplications.
2. By using the infrared port of the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
If you don't have access to Internet directly from your mobile phone, then you
shall have to pass to this step requiring to have infrared ports on your mobile
phone and on the computer.
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to activate the infrared port on the mobile phone and align it with the infrared
port of the computer (preferable laptop).
c. Then a window will appear asking what file you want to send to the mobile
phone. Next, you will select the downloaded JAR file, and after OK, the mobile
phone will ask you if you want to load that file. You say YES and the
application will be downloaded on your mobile phone.
d. Probably, you will be asked by the mobile phone where you want to save it (e.g.
on the games or applications directories). After you made this selection, the
file will be ready to be loaded for run.
The displaying preference can be set inside the application in order to have
larger fonts, full screen display etc.
3. By wireless Bluetooth access to the mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones.
This situation is similar with the infrared case. You have only to activate
Bluetooth access on your mobile phone (check if exists) and on the computer (check
if exists).
4. By cable link between PC ad mobile phone
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific
mobile phones.
On this case the steps are as follows:
a. On this case, you will download the application by using the computer from
the Internet (i.e. JAR files).
b. Once the application is downloaded (preferable on the desktop) you will have
to set up the wired connection between the mobile phone and the computer. Next,
you will start the synchronization / data transfer application and download the
JAR file in your mobile phone. Surely, you will have to consult the CD of your
mobile phone.
c. By this application you shall transfer into your mobile phone the JAR file in
the games or applications directories. Next, you will have to select for run the
JAR desired file.
5. If none from the above cases are valid
On this unhappy case, I recommend you to find a friend with a laptop having
infrared / Bluetooth capabilities, or to buy a data link cable, or to change
your current model of mobile phone.
Unfortunately, some models of mobile phones require only WAP/GPRS in order to
download and run Java applications.
Sometimes there is a need for a special uploader software for specific mobile
phones. Therefore check the documentation of them and also the page for specific
models.
Why so many versions? Simple, because not all the mobile phones support the
Bible in one file with MIDP 2.0 (the most advanced for the time being).
